Chapter 13 : Let the Truth be known

(bad at giving name i hope yall suggest)

Naruto was shocked to see Gaara after what happened to him 1.5 years ago.

Naruto heard from Iruka that Gaara was one of those people who were against his imprisonment, and he also learned that because of him, Gaara almost broke the peace treaty between the villages but couldn't cause the political pressure of his council that made him stop from breaking the treaty. But the tension was high between the villages.

After receiving the letter from Iruka, in which Gaara found out about what happened in the past 5 months in Konoha and Naruto mental state, etc. He rushed to Konoha with his siblings to meet his friend after 1.7 years.

(naruto was imprisoned 1.5 years ago when he was 16 and got freed when he was 17 now he is 17 and a half) .

-At the graveyard, Near the stone-

Iruka looked at Gaara and said " Its good to see you Lord Kazekage ". Gaara replied and said, "It's good to see you too, Iruka san; after getting your letter, I rushed to Konoha as fast as I could to see my friend".Iruka hmmed in understanding. Gaara looked towards Naruto and Naruto smiled for the first time in 1.5 years and he said in a stuttering voice and said, " T-th-than-k yo-u fo-r vis-iting me An-d Tha-n-k y-ou to yo-u bo-th f-or sta-nding up fo-r me wh-en no- one wa-s and I a-m gr-atef-ul to you bot-h "

he bowed down in appreciation. Iruka and Gaara both were stunned for two reasons, Gaara was shocked because of the thank you, and the second cause the letter he received from Iruka stating that Naruto stopped speaking after the trauma, The same goes Iruka.

A tear came down Iruka's cheeks Iruke went to Naruto and Embraced him in a hug and started crying and said "Naruto thank god you spoke for the first time, i was so worried for, please forgive me for not adopting you all those years ago ". Naruto replied in a crying tone trying his best to not stutter "It's n-ot yo-ur fau-lt Iru-ka Sen-sei f-or n-ot ad-opt-ing m-e ear-lier se-n-sei b-ut yo-u n-ow di-d, Th-e rea-son i wa-s not speak-ing was be_cause I wa-s sc-ared, hu-rt, bro-ke-n, m-y mi-nd wasn-'t pr-oc-essin-g aft-er al-l th-e t-hings th-at ha-ppe-ned to m-e " Gaara was smiling and at their interaction. After naruto and iruka stopped crying they saw Gaara smiling at them.

Naruto and Iruka apologize to young Kazekage for forgetting that he was there. Gaara was confused about why were they apologizing to him then he started stopping from bowing to him and asking for forgiveness. After That whole scene, Naruto and Gaara were catching up Iruka left them alone went to his house and requested Gaara to bring naruto back to his house and stay for the dinner.

few meters away in the bushes were hiding Kakashi and Neji watching over Naruto they both were ordered by Tsunade to look over naruto after recent kidnapping attempt by Sasuke Uchiha. After hearing Naruto for the first time they both were happy after hearing naruto voice after months. After Naruto and Gaara left for Irukas house

both Kakashi and Neji went to report to hokage about Narutos health.

-Hokage Tower-

Yamanaka Inoichi was walking towards the Hokage's office to report his today's therapy session with the blood Jinchuriki.

He went to the Hokage's secretary and told her that it was urgent and he wanted to talk to the Hokage on important topic. The secretary nodded and told him that the Hokage had already been waiting for him. He walked towards the office when he reached the door, he knocked for the permission to enter, after getting permission to enter he got into the office and saw Tsunade sitting on her desk and saw Shizune and Sakura helping the Hokage with paperwork, He also saw Team 10 in which his daughter was in. He greeted the Hokage. Tsunade greeted him back.

"Lady Hokage you ordered me to have a therapy session with Uzumaki Naruto to see if his mental health is stable or not, so i am here to give report the" said inoichi. After hearing Inoichi's statement all of them perked up in interest to find out about their blood knuckleheads mental health.

Tsunade said "You can speak", Inoichi was hesitating at first but told the blond Hokage anyways when he was about to start his report he saw Kakashi and Neji entering the office with a smile.

" Sorry for interrupting you Hokage Sama but we have something good to tell you and report the daily mission too".

Tsunade sighed and said "Its ok as long its good news but you have to wait for your report let Inoichi finish first".

They said " Ok" , When Inoichi was about to start again Asuma beat him to it and said "Sorry Hokage Sama i guess we should leave . the report could be important", The 3Chunin glared at their Sensei for saying that, they wanted to learn about Naruto's health.

Tsunade said " Oh its not a big deal its up to you if you want to leave I honestly don't mind if you want to listen on the report about Naruto's health", Asuma said " Ok am leaving and i need to rest to so bye yall", 3 chunin stayed back to listen on the report.

Inoichi Finally started his report told everything what happened during the therapy all of them were shock that Naruto was channeling bit of kyubbi's chakra when he got angry at Inoichi for mentioning his parents and purposely ignoring that Naruto was their child.

Shikamaru broke everyone out of the shock and said "So Naruto can now react thats a good thing, bit confused about why isn't kyubbi healing Naruto Limping leg. And Naruto found out about his heritage."

Tsunade looked at Kakashi and neji then said "You both can report now", Neji looked at Kakashi signaling him to tell Kakashi Nodded and started reporting about what happened entire day when they were keeping watch on naruto up untill when back to Irukas house with The Kazekage.

Everyone's mood brighten after Kakashi report , Sakura smiled and said "Naruto finally spoke after all these months ", Ino said " Yea lets go have a party guys " shikamaru and choji agreed to inos words

Tsunade said "Now this is what you call good news ill go meet up with the brat-" .

Kakashi cuts Tsunade's words and said "Its not a good idea for you all to barge in there". " And whys that Kakashi? " asked Tsunade.

Kakashi continued and said "its not like Naruto has forgiven us all for not supporting and believing in him and plus he was Stuttering like he was not confident or was scared of speaking i guess we all should give Naruto some time to clear his mind after all the things that happened".

others lowered their head in shame when hearing Kakashi mentioned the not supporting or not believing in him part.

Sakura left the office after hearing that Ino and other members of team 10 went after her.

Kakashi continued " I guess we lost the old naruto who was always happy and never gave up. Hokage sama i think we should announce naruto heritage yo the village and give him his parents money and the mansion so he can live rest of his life in peace. " .

Tsunade said "i suppose your right we can at least do this for him, but the problem is that there are two council seats uzumaki clan seat and namikaze clan seats that naruto should grt cuz of his parents but the problem is in order to be in council you have to be jonin or retired jonin, still naruto can inherit the property but can't get the seat cuz of his early retirement due to his limping leg". tsunade looked at Shizune and told her to summon the entire village tomorrow to the hokage tower so she could announce some important news. Shizune nodded went to work. then turned to Kakashi and said " you go back to iruka's house tell him in private about tomorrow also tell him to come with naruto half hour before the announcement, you 3 are dismissed now".

Kakashi, Neji and Inoichi sunshin out of the office and went back to their respective duties.

Tsunade sigh in relief and took out sake and started drinking so she can ease her stress for tomorrow's big day.

-Outside Hokage Tower-

Sakura was running toward the exit of the tower. Tears of cry were coming out of her eyes; meanwhile, her friends Ino, Shikamaru, and Choji were after her, telling her to stop. She eventually stopped near the exit of the tower.

Sakura said sobbing tone, "It's all my fucking fault what happened to Naruto, all of this was my fault only if I would have listened to his yells during the trial, all because of me if i Co-uld". Sakura broke down in front of her friends crying, Ino tried to comfort her friend but couldn't cause of the words she said, she knew that it was all their fault for blaming Naruto during the framed raped trial. Choji had tears in his eyes, Shikamaru comforted his friends by saying, "I know it's our fault for blaming him and leaving him alone for a whole year in that dark prison cell, I wish, I could have the courage to say sorry to him, I-i kn-e-w hi-m si-nc-e m-e a-nd ch-oji we-re kid-s wh-en h-e us-ed to g-et bu-lli-ed b-y old-er ki-ds, ho-w co-uldn't w-e bel-iev-ed hi-m he w-hen he w-as acc-used of som-ething h-e didn-'t d-o a-nd we b-elieved i-t, he w-as o-ur fri-en-d h-e wa-s the p-urest o-f a-ll so-ul's w-e w-ere his friend-" Shikamura couldn't finish his words because of the tears. They were shocked to see Shikamaru this broken after all those things that happened.

Choji tried to continue what Shikamaru was gonna say next" Yet we couldn't support him, at first I didn't believe that he raped you Sakura cause we both knew that he loved you more than anything, I refused to believe the accusation, after what shika abd into told me I changed sides , i just wish i wouldn't have done it. Now i lost a friend and a Brother Cause of that Uchiha, I know we lost the cheerful Naruto but i think we could try to make things better and Sakura it isn't your fault too Even Naruto knows that, If i was in your place i would have believed what you witnessed. Right now we need to find that Mother fucker who hurted

both of our friends in physical and mental way".

they all were stunned by the words that came out of the shy, kind boy. The words boosted their spirit, specially Sakura's she said thank you to Choji, but she was confused that Naruto loved her, she taught it was a silly childhood crush Sakura was shocked. Ino said " you didn't knew jeez Sakura your denser than Naruto was when he was in the academy " this Statement made Sakura blushed in embarrassment.

All of them were laughing at Sakura for being dense.

Shikamaru said "All that is now out of the way , we all know what we have to do now", all of them nodded in understanding, shikamaru continued, "Ok now lets go meet with others at ichiraku" They were confused

then realized today was their rookie gathering. When they were leaving they saw Shizune Rushing out of the tower with anbu with some banners.

Sakura raised her voice and said "What was that, whys miss shizune running with banners in her head", they all shrugged in confusion. Neji shunshined behind them making them scared and said " i know why shes running" , Ino yelled " oh why the fuck do you have scare us like that", Nejj said " i don't know its funny i guess " Neji was dodging punches from Ino for scaring them. Shikamaru asked " you know whats happening " Neji nodded, all of them stopped, Ino being the village's gossip queen ask "whats happening tell us please", Neji sighed and said " Lady Hokage will summon the entire village tomorrow " , Sakura asked "why", " Cause shes gonna reveal Narutos heritage to the public and give Naruto all of his Parents belonging" said neji.

They all were happy for their blond friend,

Ino, Choji and Sakura said " Thats a good news we are happy for him finally he'll get to know of his parents ", But Shikamaru was confused why Neji has a look where theres more to the story, Neji continued and said " As you know Narutos father was the Hokage so for that reason Naruto father had two seats in the council one was the Hokage and other Was the Namikaze seat, and Naruto mother was a Uzumaki who had the seat due to Alliance between Senju uzumaki during the clan war era But Naruto cant inherited those seat", finished Neji.

Ino was confused and asked " whys that",

Shikamaru replied to ino saying "The reason is that in order to have a seat in the council you at least should have the rank of jonin or should be a retired jonin, And Naruto hasn't been promoted to chunin yet".

" So what Narutocana still become a jonin when he gets better " said Sakura, "You don't get the point" said Neji, Sakura and Ino were confused and looked at shikamaru for explanation, Shikamaru sighed and said " To troublesome , The point is that after what Naruto had suffered most ninja after going through torcher and getting severe injuries often retire early on their own accord or if hokage seemed them unfit the hokage can retire them early, For Naruto case is that Lady hokage must have retired Naruto early due to his mental state a d limp leg so thats why he cant continue being a ninja".

Sakura sad in a desperate tone "That-That means his dream of becoming hokage-" her words were cut down by Ino's father Inoichi

"Sadly yes" , after hearing all of them were sad after finding out that their friend's dream has shattered by the false accusations.

Inoichi continued " Dont get sad its not like he cant became a ninja again if he can start working hard and trains himself again and show's lady hokage that he is capable of fighting with limping leg then he can become a ninja again. You all should go enjoy for tomorrow and should be happy for your friend that he is getting whats rightfully his cheers bye kiddos". Inoichi brighted their moods.

They all made thier way to Ichiraku ramen. and they were Happy for their blond friend.
