the house. ''Something's wrong and I've got to find him; she thought as she saddled her horse in the barn and led him out. ''I know they went in the direction of the Shoshone Cross; Betsy
said as she mounted her horse. Giddy up, boy!; Betsy said, easing her horse into a galloping run towards the Shoshone Cross. ''No sign of them yet''; Betsy said when she was three miles from the
ranch. ''Here comes Bill and some of the boys; she said when she saw them. ''Howdy, Betsy, what brings you out this way?; Bill asked when Betsy rode up to him. ''I'm looking for Randy, Bill; Betsy
replied. Have you seen him?; she asked. No, not since we all split up this mornin'; Bill replied. The boss and Steve are still lookin' for him, though; he added. ''Is something wrong, Bill?; Betsy
asked. I'm afraid so, Betsy; Bill replied. There's a new man workin' here and he's Randy's outlaw brother; Bill replied. We're tryin' to find Randy because his life could be in danger,
Betsy; Bill said. Oh, no!; Betsy exclaimed. Bill, we've got to find Randy and we've got to bring him home; Betsy replied. You bet we do, Betsy; Bill said. I'll take you to the place
where the boss went to look for him; Bill said. Steve rode out there an hour ago; Bill added as they urged their horses into a galloping run towards the Shoshone Cross. ''No sign of them
yet; Bill remarked when they were half-way there. Just keep your eyes open, Bill; Betsy replied as they rode on. Get up, boy!; Betsy said, urging her horse on. We're nearly there, Bill; Betsy
said as they rested their horses about a mile from the Shoshone Cross. Do you- Do you think Randy's alright, Bill?; Betsy asked sadly. I have a feeling he's alright, Betsy; Bill replied.
If the boss and Steve found him , they're bringin him home, Betsy. C'mon, let's keep riding; Bill said. Keep your ears open for the sound of horse hooves on the road; Betsy said. I will,
Betsy; Bill replied. We'll find Randy, wherever he is; Bill said. I hope so, Bill; Betsy said as they continued riding. They were a mile from the Shoshone Cross when they heard horses coming.
