Betsy said as they went up the steps to the house. Thanks, Betsy; Randy said quietly. Come into the kitchen, Randy, and I'll fix us something to eat; Betsy said.

You go on in and wash up, and I'll be down as soon as I change, alright?; Betsy added smiling. Okay, thanks, Betsy; Randy replied. You're welcome, Randy; Betsy said

as she turned to go upstairs. ''I really hope that he'll be alright''; Betsy said to herself as she changed into a housedress. ''But I know I just have to do my best

to help him; she added to herself. ''If the Virginian writes Daddy, I'll send him a letter, too; Betsy said as she left her room and walked down the stairs and into the

kitchen. Feel better now that you've washed that dust off, Randy?; Betsy said as she put on her apron. I reckon I do, Betsy; Randy replied. Cleaner, anyway; he added.

There's fresh milk in the ice box; Betsy said as she sliced some bread and cheese for their supper. Would you like me to pour you some, Randy?; Betsy asked as she

took two glasses from the cupboard. Yes, please; Randy replied as she set the glasses on the kitchen table. I'll get the milk from the ice box, Randy; Betsy said as she

went to the ice box. Here you are; Betsy said smiling as she poured milk into Randy's glass and then into her own. Thanks, Betsy; Randy replied, smiling a little.

I've made us some sandwiches, too; Betsy said as she brought them to the table and set them down. Thanks, Randy; Betsy said as he pulled out her chair for her.

You're welcome, Betsy; Randy replied. Thank you, Lord, for keeping us safe today and bringing us all home, Amen.; Betsy prayed. And Randy, I want you to know

and we all want you to stay; Betsy said. And I want you to stay too, Randy; Betsy added smiling.
