Come Home to Us, Randy [Chapter 5] {Staying}

I know that, Betsy, and I wanna stay here; Randy replied. I'm glad to hear that, Randy; Betsy said, smiling warmly. And I'm glad you're safe, too; she added.

And believe me, Randy, none of us will ever let any harm come to you; Betsy said lovingly. I know; Randy said appreciatively. Can I help ya clear the table, Betsy?;

Randy asked. I'd like that, Randy, thanks; Betsy replied as she gathered up the plates. There, I'll have these washed up in no time at all; Betsy said smiling. There, all

done; Betsy said as she dried the last plate and put it away. You look tired, Randy; Betsy remarked at the sight of her friend falling asleep in the kitchen chair

he was sitting in. I reckon I am tired; Randy replied. Come on, Randy; Betsy said, taking his arm gently.

I'll take you to the guest bedroom and I'll turn down the covers for you; Betsy added. Thanks, Betsy; Randy said as they left the kitchen and went upstairs.

Here it is, Randy; Betsy said when they'd reached the guest room. I just cleaned in here the other day so it's all fresh; Betsy said as she turned down the bedcovers.

Thanks, Betsy; Randy replied, sitting down on the edge of the bed. You're welcome, Randy; Betsy said, smiling at him. I sure did appreciate your company tonight, Betsy;

Randy said, smiling gently at her. And I appreciated yours too, Randy; Betsy replied, smiling at him. If you need anything, Randy, I'm just down the

hall, alright?; Betsy said softly. G'night, Betsy; Randy said, smiling in her direction. Goodnight, Randy; Betsy replied, smiling at him.

Sleep well, now; she said as she shut the door and went to her own room for the night.
