The Faust HQ has its usual routines: experimentation, creating new weapons and drones, including the study of the latest tech Evol provided. However Evol stared at the slumbering 932 who was on the table, the device scanning across the girl. The room was his private lab as tech was used to detect anything… down to the soul itself.

The girl had remained unconscious for the past few days and it was troublesome. Would he dispose her? No. Reason?

What else?

The girl was the current host of Vernage. Somehow she made sure even her own soul survived the erasure of the previous world, all to make sure he remained hidden and sealed. Sadly for her, the moment she turned to ash, her spell was cracked enough for him to escape the moment someone touched the box, leaving only his true power and siblings were left sealed in this new era of Remnant.

At first, he thought he could simply do as he pleases, but he quickly underestimated Vernage's spellcraft. The only one who could outdo his own work within magic followed only by that pale witch, Salem as Vernage was born decades before Salem's birth.

She and him have killed each other, over and over, and over. Too bad Vernage got so tired upon seeing the violence and darkness humanity had over the years. The girl had been called a Saint and seeing the state of the past few eras had no doubt left her distraught and grieving.

Ever since their last encounter, she has mostly remained hidden from him. Only keeping the spell she casted still intact, with this being the last one. He could easily just kill her, but knowing how crafty Vernage was, he wouldn't put it past her to erase the rest of the Pandora's Box, his power and siblings upon the death of her host. Thus instead he tracked the heir down and made sure to keep an eye on them, alongside his own personal fun in revenge against the said woman.

After all he was the one who had killed her previously and the street orphan that is 932. Only to witness the bitch pass her soul onto the little girl who is now the said experiment.

That fight in the docks had triggered Vernage's awakening. The words Cody said to 932. He found it heartwarming… enough to puke. Bleh.

There was no doubt the girl's mind was beginning to break upon the stress, anxiety, and emotional turmoil Vernage will bring.

"And it is a good thing I have the Madness Project in progress." He hummed before tapping his gauntlet. "Oi, Alpha, get me in line to the twinsies. Oh and while you are at it fetch me my- Ha? What the hell do you mean they put themselves in Beacon? … All for some hot girl?! For the love of… Just set me a video call with those Hell Bros! I swear I am going to wring their necks for their stupidity! They nearly cost me a lot of money last time!" He ranted on as he exited the lab, the doors closing. "Yes! Yes! Just tell them it is under my orders!"

For 932, the girl's head jerked slightly but inside her soul, she found herself on a familiar field of white, blooming flowers and on the other side a field of wilted and dying flowers. It felt like it was split in two.

"This is…"

"Stop hiding your pain… please…" 932 turned around, seeing a beautiful young woman with flowing silver/white hair and metallic green eyes who stood on the pure white flora. She was dressed in garbs that reminded her of the old times. Like a royal priestess. Her emerald eyes were full of sadness directed at her.

"You only want to destroy everything the world has done to you." Behind her was her Night Rogue persona standing on the wilted flowers.

"You were a girl who dreamt of doing good."

"You don't believe heroes exist."

"What do you want?!" She shouted to the two entities, angered, confused and scared at everything going on at the moment.

"We are here to try and guide you to your own truth…"

"We are you light and darkness. But what you do with it, is your choice…."

"Don't you… remember me?"

The bluenette stared at the woman whose voice had called her a saint during her fight with Cody. Her brows slowly raised, recalling the gaze. The smile. Her body was screaming at her to run to her. To reach out.

But all she felt was being chained into the cruel cycle she had felt for 12 years. She didn't know love, didn't know support. Only pain, torture and rage.

"I… I can't… I'm too weak…" 932 said, dropping to her knees as the 'chains' manifested around her tightly, keeping her from going to either side.

"You are far stronger than you think…" the calming voice said to her, "You'll find your answer and your key soon… Trust in Love…"

"Just who are you in the cruel world? A killing machine? A saint?"

"Stop it!" 932 shielded her ears as the voices echoed. They grew louder and louder before she yelled to the air.

In reality, the readings of Vernage's soul flared, displaying high activity before dimming.

Vernage has begun her role.

Within the grave site not too far off from Vale, Cody was sitting there with a sad look on his face as he stares at a tombstone. Tukson's name was on it alongside some flowers that the blonde placed there. He felt ashamed that he didn't do more to the man, believing he could've saved him, but a simple hand on his shoulder made him remember that it wasn't his fault.

Yang was there with him alongside Blake for some support over the fallen Faunus. The brawler made sure he had support over the loss of one he considered not only a friend but mentor as well. He could only hope that he finds those two assassins and brings them in for their heinous crimes.

"Come on, it's about to rain. Don't wanna catch a cold now, do we?" Yang spoke up to the other blonde, as she wanted him not to dwell on such feelings again.

"Right… thanks…." The blonde rider nodded, as he soon followed them out of the graveyard.

"Any idea what will happen to the bookstore?" Blake questioned, wanting to take his mind off of the death.

"While it is foreclosed, I was informed there was something he left but not until I reach my 21st birthday. But I don't even know what he even had for me." Cody mentioned it to her.

"Well at least it's not being torn down. I enjoyed my time there." Blake said with some relief.

"Heh… same…" Cody smiled softly.

"Are you sure you're doing okay?"

Cody nodded to the brawler, "Upset a bit and sad… but I'll be okay. Just need time to cope and move on." He responded, showing that he has indeed somewhat changed in a good way. "It's… not the first time dealing with loss considering… you know…"

"Oh…" The other experiments he had to put down.

"Even if it hurts, we must move forward…" Cody sighed softly, earning a surprised look from the girls from such words but smiled with a nod.

The trio walked as the blonde experiment pocketed his hands. The Faunus glanced at him, her mind contemplating her view in regards to his past.

"Cody, right?" Blake inquired.

"Yeah."

"There's been something I wanted to ask." She earned a glance. "How do you deal with it?"

"With what?"

"Running from Faust. Running from… everything they brought upon you."

Cody pondered within his thoughts. "To be honest? It's still difficult to explain." He started to explain to her, "At first, I simply just wanted to get out of their grasp. But when I found out that no matter what happens, they'll always know where I am? I almost lost it… Thought that even this life wasn't worth it…" He admitted, much to their worry. "But… after one little act of kindness from someone, showing me that my life is my own, no matter what they do. I began to realize that I shouldn't run from what has happened to me. I must take back what was lost instead and show that they don't have a tight hold on me as they think."

Blake's brows furrowed upon the answer. Cody has been determined to take back his life Faust stole from him. Unlike the White Fang, Cody couldn't live a happy childhood. He had no family… no one to go to. All he did was endure torment and torture through experimentation.

"Then the Smash you have fought aside from the Flame one… were they part of 900?"

Cody stopped mid step upon the question.

"Blake." Yang hissed.

"I know it's one you don't want me to ask but I need to know. Sooner or later." Blake's amber eyes went back to Cody.

"… Yes… if anything it's Faust' sick way to punish me for running away with them."

"... how…? How do you even act so calmly about that? To basically kill them…?" She questioned him.

Cody turned around. "You think I had a choice on that? I wanted to save them, Blake. Every night all I see is them every night asking me why I couldn't save them. I tried. I prayed I could find the cure to free them but look at where that ended up? To them. To me." He tapped himself. "If there is any solace that I know… it's that I know they thanked me for stopping them in the end."

"Then who is the last of the 900 group?"

"Just me… and 932. Far as I know from counting the other 98 amongst the group over the years I've run before getting my freedom."

"Did she have a name?"

"… She never said a word about it when we were cellmates."

"Wait, you and her lived in the same cell?"

"Yeah. Heck, if anything I don't think most remember their names back then…." Cody sighed, "But I have been considering making a tombstone when Faust is finally destroyed and giving them some proper names. It's the least I can do for them so they won't be forgotten."

"You're really that determined…"

"I am… For what Faust has done for who knows how many years and decades? This is my sworn oath now." The blonde rider said, holding up the Dragon Fullbottle and Jelly in hand before pocketing them.

"And your cellmate? What will you do if you had to face her one last time?"

Now that made Cody tense. "I…" He trailed off. To put down the one person he knew…

'I won't give up for what you did to us!'

Those words of hers still stung to him. Yet, deep down he still felt some droplet of hope for her.

"I'm honestly going to keep trying to save her… No matter what happens." He replied. "I know she's still there. She may say she isn't the one I knew anymore but when I tried to call her on the docks… I saw that faint glimmer. I know she can be saved… I just have to keep trying."

Yang smiled softly from his determination, seeing how much he truly has changed from that edgy boy she met at the bar. She was proud to see him become the person he has wanted to be.

"Hey if I have to say anything, I'm sure you can get her to snap out of it." Yang encouraged him.

Cody looked to Yang, hearing her words and support soon made him smile softly as he nodded to her in response, "Thanks Yang."

"What are friends for?" She smiled back with a playful wink. "By the way, how's the little dragon?"

"Heh, Cross is fine. To be honest, I think he misses you." Cody admitted to her. "Can't understand why though."

"Maybe you don't know him a lot better than you should." She teased.

"Hey!"

As the two shared a laugh together, Blake on the other hand was beginning to worry. Not over her friend and the boy, but his words. She knew well about the White Fang, and something terrible was being made without any of them knowing. Something had to be done.

XXX

As the next day passed by, Yang invited Cody out not only for some fresh air and staying alone, but to grow closer to the boy as she promised him that. The busty brawler was showing him a bit more to the town as he barely went out much other than work or food, so she made today a hangout as she showed him what he has been missing out on.

The first task was at the local arcade area, as the busty brawler showed him the machines and other games that this place had, alongside having the little robot dragon on her head.

"I really missed out on so much."

"Sure have, but now you got me and the others to show you around." Yang winked playfully at him. "Now let's see how well your gaming skills are."

"Uh…"

"You have no clue to it do you?"

"It's not like Cross can do the same." Cody pouted.

"About that." Yang jabbed her thumb over her shoulder. Cody peeked and gawked to see it pull an item that it had won from a crane game.

"You could do this and didn't tell me?!" He gawked with disappointment from his little partner. The small metal dragon wobbled as if it shrugged in response.

"Well, guess we gotta try these out first so you can get the hang of how things go in an arcade" Yang suggested, as she held up some Lien for them to play together.

Cody sighed. "Might as well. Don't have much else going on anymore now." He agreed with a shrug, since it would be rude to ditch her over this as he does want to get to know Yang and the others more now.

XXX

[Game Over!]

"STUPID LOUSY CHEAP METAL MACHINE!" Cody's voice rang out with anger, Yang literally having to drag him out of the arcade as within it the machine he played on was bent, busted and fully destroyed from his rage of losing to a simple AI. "Let me go Yang! That thing needs to feel my fist some more!"

"E-Easy now tiger. I don't think we'll be able to return to the arcade after that stunt…." Yang grimaced, knowing that all of her Lien she spent on won't be returned as most likely the two were banned from the arcade.

"I WANT A REMATCH! I WON'T LOSE!" He cried out comically.

"Sheesh and I thought Ruby would complain about a problem like this." The brawler sighed, shocked to see him act like this, but it was a new fresh take that she didn't expect. "Come on then, let's move onto the next place I have for ya."

"REVENGE WILL BE MINE!" Cody shouted out comically.

Yang rolled her eyes. "Yeah yeah. Whatever you say."

XXX

After a bit more calming down and relaxing, the experiment recovered as he followed the brawler to the next spot. This time it was at a nearby amusement fair, filled with non video games, rides and food that were completely different from what he had known about.

"So… people come here to play and get on these half baked 'rides'? Where's the combat experience here?" He questioned her, confused by the term of rides and their fun.

Yang laughed. "There isn't one, silly. Here people just have fun. Don't you see the smiles on their faces?"

Cody looked at the people milling about. The Rider began to notice the joy in their faces and the fun they were having. They weren't here to fight, they weren't here to even worry about the troubles outside of their lives. The people here, all were just wanting to forget such things, have fun, and embrace their lives. It was a wonderful site to see.

"Huh… I think I get it…" Cody noted only for Yang to smile and begin to pull him along, confusing the boy. "Wait, why are you dragging me in? Weren't we here just to watch and see?"

"Nope! You are to understand the fun we people have!" She grinned as she pulled him along more. From playing certain games and prizes, to the odd food stall and the wonderful rides.

With it, Cody began to experience so much he never thought to experience before. The positivity. The fun and joy he never thought to feel. It… brought the overwhelming warmth in his heart the more he ever felt.

The only time he ever felt such happiness in him was… was…

Cody suddenly felt a ringing sensation in his ears. The ringing distorting the sounds around him.

"Cody, you alright?"

The ringing continued as images flashed in his mind. The woman who was his mother cradling him. The smile she sent through her ill yet weak form. The joy and smiles he had as he was with his mother.

"Ngh… Y-Yeah… I… I remembered a bit more…" He admitted with a grunt from the ringing sensation, "To be honest…? I… haven't had this type of warmth… since I was with my mother… To go… so long without this feeling… Gods… how did I truly even survive that long in Faust?" He luckily fell onto a bench, his arms over his knees.

"All I thought about in that place… was hoping one day someone would save us… but instead… no one did. Day after day, week after week, month after month. In those times I was there… it… became pointless. To believe anyone to save us. Those heroes who are Huntsmen or Huntress don't exist because they… never saved us. What good is there if there is no one willing to save the kids now?" He murmured.

"Cody…" Yang muttered from hearing him speak his heart out. It truly was unbearable to comprehend over what had happened for not only most of his lifetime, but who knows how long as well to those who couldn't make it.

Yang could only be there for him now when he needed it most, she made sure she won't leave him alone again. After all, she knows that feeling too, to be abandoned by someone and wanting answers. The blonde huntress in-training soon sat next to the boy, as she wrapped her arms around and hugged him to give him some comfort.

"Yang?"

"Just… figured you could use this is all."

Cody was a bit taken back, but she wasn't wrong as the experiment soon hugged her back.

"Thanks… I…. I needed that."

Yang smiled. For Cody deep down, he felt the odd sensation reach into his heart. It was an odd yet unfamiliar feeling.

What was it?

XXX

932 gasped for air, rolling over but fell onto the cold metal floors. She grasped her chest as her lungs swallowed needed air she lost. Sweat beaded down her face and briefly noticed the lab she was in.

This lab was unfamiliar but it was of Faust design. Her eyes noticed the table and the scanning device. It looked to be of Evol's design. Her lilac eyes moved upward to see the large screen and noticed the name or rather names. What was odd was the monitor was tracking not just her lifeline but- "Ver… nage…?" She read the name on the monitor.

She gasped for air when the name rang in her head with familiarity. She ripped the patches on her collarbone, the monitor unable to track the soul. 932 panted, toppling as she knocked aside a few tools and found herself back in the halls of the base.

Her breathing was ragged and leaned against the metal wall. The voices came back again but tried to suppress it. She wanted it to stop! She-!

Her movement came to a halt when her eyes laid on two Guardians carrying a gurney with a tarp over it. She stared as a small arm slipped out upon their movements and carried on to escort yet another failed experiment.

But her heart clenched in pain upon seeing it. She should've been emotionless upon that. She has seen and dealt with many other experiments dying on a daily basis. Why was this affecting her now?! Just what did that idiot 931 even do to her?!

"You think Evol is taking too long?" She paused at the voice. That sounded like Council Leader Zeta.

"Does it matter? As long as it's not 'us' who cares?" Eta noted with a huff.

932 focused on her Semblance. Unlike the armor that granted her the ability to dematerialize into smoke, hers was digital construction. White-yellow lines surged around her wrists and the energy danced across her fingers before creating a small orb. She set it down, allowing it to twitch and roll. It hopped over a ridge silently before hiding beneath a shelf. Its blank form recording the voices.

"Eta is right. Evol has made excellent progress especially now that his two… well, to admit, absent-minded experiments are busy searching for the belt."

"Yet with Delta's death by his hands, I worry he won't give us what he promised. Immortality and unrivaled power." Zeta stated, "Why kill one of us, if he doesn't plan to uphold his end of the bargain?"

"You know his rule. To replicate that belt he kept mentioning wouldn't come close to the true belt he had. Mayhap it's because this world lacks the right materials. I wouldn't know."

"And if he does achieve the supposed Phase 1 evolution he once said?"

'Phase 1?' 932 repeated. Her Lord has Phases in regards to his own body?

"Then as long as those worthless brats keep dying for necessary data, it'll be worth it."

"And what of 931, 932 and the Hell Brothers? What do we do about them?"

"932 is Evol's right hand. We cannot touch her or it is our death like with Delta."

"Hmph, at least until we get the power he promised us. Then those four become as useless as the moment we stole their lives."

932 frowned in disdain. They were planning to overthrow her leader…

Not on her watch.

She stopped as a drone stepped into the room.

"What is it?" Eta asked.

"Creator requests the Madness Device to be finished by the end of the week."

She heard chairs scatter and the shouting, "M-MADNESS PROJECT?!"

"L-Lord Evol must be crazy for that initiative! Is he joking?!" Eta spluttered.

"Inquiry: His order is no form of humor. Device to be made immediately before the end of week as ordered." The Guardian stated robotically. "The Hell Bros have located the Creator's belt."

A quiet gasped left her lips. Lord Evol's belt has been located too? And what was the Madness Project?

She needed answers… And the only one who can give it to her, is Lord Evol himself.

Come to think of it… where was he anyway?

XXX

"So this is the gal you've talked about, eh kiddo?" Soichi grinned as Cody brought Yang to the cafe that Soichi owned.

"Yeah, this is Yang Xiao Long." Cody nodded, introducing her to the man who also helped him.

"Please to meet ya, blondie." The coffee man snickered, "Didn't expect a girlfriend this soon from the boy."

"Girlfriend?"

Soichi stared before he rubbed his eyes beneath his glasses. "Ah… right." He sighed. "One of these days kiddo you'll realize it."

"So! What'll you have, missy?" Cody flinched as he turned to Yang, shaking his head to deny any coffee drink on the menu.

The buxom blonde raised an eyebrow. "I'll take one of them nifty omelet rice I heard that's been the buzz here."

"Hm? Oh sure. No coffee though?" Soichi offered.

"That too." Cody whined, planting his head onto the table.

"One number 6 coming up!" Soichi grinned as he went to cooking.

"Don't say I didn't warn ya, Yang…" Cody grimaced.

"Please, it can't be that bad! Not like you tried it."

"I have, twice."

"I mean, you never had ice cream or a good burger before! Your pallet must be shot." Yang shrugged. "Sides, I have yet to have any coffee that I didn't find at least drinkable."

"Just don't go throwing hands when you realize I was right." The other blonde shrugged in return.

"Please it can't be that bad of coffee."

As Soichi came back with the order, Cody simply took up his Scroll to record Yang's reaction with a devious smirk on his face. As while the omelet rice was good, she then took up the cup close to her. Yang blew the hot steam before taking a sip. The hot liquid touched her lips and a very long pause followed with it.

"And… 3… 2… 1…" Cody counted down from the pause.

Yang soon spit out the coffee, wiping her tongue with her hands before she literally licked up the plate to clean her tongue from the terrible taste in coffee.

"Told ya so." Cody chuckled out.

"T-That was so gross! I can't even describe the taste… It was just… UGH!" Yang groaned out, placing some Lien down, "Give me a JUG of water, please!" She pleaded to the disappointed Soichi.

"As you wish… Man, I just don't get what's wrong. I love drinking my brew." He said, confused as to why his coffee still was terrible before returning with the jug of water that Yang quickly grabbed and chugged it down.

"How can this place be running with such nasty coffee?!"

"I mean, the food is still good. Plus the atmosphere is nice." Soichi pointed out, despite them being the only customers in the shop. "And I'm good at listening to others!"

"Trust me, I've been asking the same thing." Cody chuckled out.

"Oh, har har…" Soichi playfully rolled his eyes, "Anywho, glad you could come in today, kiddo. I got a present for you."

"A present?" He blinked with confusion as the owner handed him what looked to be some kind of metal dragon head as the same size as Cross when folded up.

"Go try it outside, something a friend of mine in Atlas created at my wishes." Soichi said, as this made the two blonde look with confusion yet interest.

As they walked out, he looked at the odd item before he saw a button and pressed it. It reacted as it rumbled and began to grow in size, making Cody drop it. As he did, it continue to unfold and grow before soon taking shape… of a motorcycle?!

While similar to an Atlas Hover Vehicle, it was azure blue in color with red flames on the exhaust pipes while the front of the bike had what looked to be a dragon biting down on the front wheel as its 'horns' were the revving and brake throttles. It was something that was awe inspiring as even Yang felt a bit jealous at the free ride.

"W-What is this all for, old man?" Cody turned to the cafe owner who chuckled from his shocked look.

"Like I said, a present. Something to remember me by should you ever flee again."

Cody was speechless. "Th-Thanks Mr. Soichi."

"Bah, think nothing of it! After all, from what I see, you are special."

For a moment, Yang tensed to the last three words he said. Her mind briefly recollected the day she and Blake first saw Blood Stark.

'You are special.'

"Yang?"

"H-Huh? Did you say something?" She turned to Cody, snapping out of her stupor.

"I said, do you want me to drive you back to Beacon?" He offered her as he was a bit worried from her late reaction. "Are you okay?"

"U-Uh, yeah! I'm okay! I can get to Beacon on my own but thanks!" She replied. The blonde gave the Rider a brief hug before jogging out of the cafe.

"Wonder what that was all about?" Cody pondered, as he waved to Soichi before he began to drive off to enjoy his new present.

XXX

The dorm of Team RWBY had its usual doings as they had been making preparations for tomorrow's super secret plan to go out and investigate the work of the White Fang.

Things were still heavy and uncertain after what happened at the docks, alongside Faust's appearance. But they needed to do something, and the White Fang would possibly lead them to learn anything else going on in Vale.

"Ok so what time-" Ruby started until Yang burst into the room, slammed the door shut, locked it, and peeked through the curtains.

"Yang? Where have you been? What's wrong?" Blake asked her partner.

"I was showing Cody around before we ended up in that Cafe Nash.. Naci-"

"Nascita."

"Yeah that one! But that isn't the point!" Yang yelled. "That cafe owner may be Blood Stark!"

Silence and dread filled the room as they looked at each other with worry, but knew fully well this wouldn't be some joke or prank from Yang, especially after what had happened.

"Yang are you sure that-" Blake started.

"I know what I heard from Mr. Soichi! When he said 'You are special' to Cody, he spoke in the same exact way when you and I first met him!"

"That's hard to believe… I mean, what makes you certain that it was him?" Weiss questioned.

"I thought the gift Soichi got Cody was because of the money, but thinking back, how does a guy in his 40s, run a cafe that has barely any customers going on weekends, afford a bike that looks way too high tech to be Atlas!?" She pointed out profusely.

"He gave him a bike?" Ruby blinked with confusion.

Yang scrambled for her Scroll and showed it to them.

Weiss narrowed her eyes. "I know Atlas vehicles and that certainly isn't Atelsian."

"See?! I told you! We gotta-" Weiss quickly covered Yang's mouth.

"Yang, do not do it." The heiress hissed. "Even if we are right, there is an Atlesian fleet right above in Vale. We are talking of a terrorist who owns technology that can outplay them. A monster who is the actual Boogeyman from the book we all read. You remember that snake's warning. If we do anything to interfere in Cody's work against them, we, our friends, and our families are done for."

"You don't think I remember that?" Yang spoke up, rubbing her arm, "That was one of the first times in my life…. That I felt utter terror. But even so… I promised Cody that I'd be there for him. After what he has told us about alongside what I learned from our time together… He needs us."

"Yang this is my warning and you know Ozpin will agree to this. Stay away from Faust matters and let Cody do it otherwise you are only taking away his freedom by breaking that deal."

"Besides… if we want to do something and get proper evidence, taking on the White Fang and whatever problems arise from them, could also lead us to Faust." Blake spoke up.

"Blake same goes for you." Ice blue eyes glared.

"We're just going after the White Fang and getting evidence. That was our plan."

"And not Faust. Understood? Otherwise who do you think Cody will blame when the deal is off for us interfering in Faust business?" She pointed at each of them including herself. "Freedom at the cost of anyone else not meddling in their affairs."

Yang growled under her breath with frustration, "It's just not fair…."

"That's… just how life is." Weiss murmured bitterly. "I would rather not have us lose people we know. So it's best to hold the deal Cody had with Blood Stark."

"Fine…" Yang sighed with defeat, despite the fact she would easily just run back to punch 'Soichi', it wouldn't end well. For now, their plan with the White Fang tomorrow afternoon still remains.

XXX

Soichi was not happy.

Not happy in the slightest. Oh it wasn't because of his work. Oh he loves running that nifty cafe as cover but you wanna know what he was so miffed about?

His brow twitched erratically while his hands gripped the cranium of the twins who were flailing their arms to the rising headaches and their skulls slowly on the verge of being crushed like a toothpick.

"You two devilish idiots had put yours into Beacon without my permission?" Soichi inquired irritably.

"L-Lord… Evol… P-Please let us… e-explain…" 898 pleaded, as the two struggled within his grasp.

"Oh then please do. The fact you are potentially going to expose my big debut when it isn't the right time?!" He shook the duo in his hands. "All for the sake of losing your stupid cards?!"

"I-It was… a good deal! We help… this cute girl-" 899 said before cringing in pain.

"And make a fool out of me?!" The alien questioned, squeezing their heads tighter.

"N-No… This… could be a good… way to show your power… my lord…" 898 cut in. "T-Think about it… You were… going to show everything off soon, right? W-Why not… make it a spectacle? First… we show that we might be normal academy students… o-only to then show our might… T-Then in the finals.. Show that we were part of Faust… Making people wonder… how many of us have infiltrated their own kingdoms…. How many agents could we already have here? Only to then reveal your might… and the new power you possess… by destroying Beacon… and those pests who tried to interfere?"

"Destroying Beacon is nothing compared to the real goal you imbeciles! You two have to find my Belt so I can find the panel and activate the box and then do what I aimed to do!"

"Ch-Changing the world?"

"Exactly!"

"Then do your freaking jobs I assigned you two bros to do! If you do, I will give you permission to bring hell!"

"T-That's… the thing… We found the location!" 898 revealed. He shakingly raised the device to him. Soichi released the brothers and observed the device. "Forever Fall… I-It was located within the ruins in the forest… d-deep underground…."

Soichi stared before he grinned and laughed as he dropped the twins. He immediately picked up the Scroll. "Hey it's me, send a dig team straight to Forever Fall. Atlas can kiss my ass. Just set up the barrier around the dig site! Oh and get me some coffee from my cafe." He ended the call. "Now where was I? Ah, yes, two things you two."

"Y-Yes?"

"Firstly, the Madness Project has started and 932 will be the sole user for it!" The revelation shocked the duo. The twins hugged each other in now shuddering fright. They had always mocked her at times but the fact she was to use that armor was bad juju.

"A-And… the other thing…?" They gulped in unison.

"Who the hell is the 'hot girl' you two keep yapping about?"

"Ah!" 899 beamed, soon pulling up his Scroll to show him the girl, "This is her! Isn't she lovely? I'm already pondering on how to ask her out?" The younger brother said with delight but fully unaware of Evol's annoyance.

"I tried to tell him that it won't work out…" 898 sighed.

"This is the girl you said, 899?" The said teen nodded eagerly. Soichi swiftly raised 899 high into the air.

"Y-Yes… sir…"

"You are so stupid! She is working for the low opposition!" 899 trembled to his lord's now crimson eyes.

"But… she helped us and she's cute…"

"My lord… wouldn't it also be best to pretend to take up on their offer only to betray and destroy them when they think they've won? The best way to rid of pests… is to send in a false sense of security, no?" 898 offered the idea to their lord.

"I will decide." Soichi dropped 899. "I can't believe you two are idiots…"

"We're idiots cause we have a job!" 899 said with delight, not realizing it was an insult.

Soichi grunted. As much as he wants to scold their idiocy, he has what he needs for the next step. Once he retrieves the belt, the Madness Project will be finished and then he will announce to the world of him before the festival starts. After all… what better way to start a festival by lighting the fireworks?
