Episode 364: The Gardenia Contest
Before I begin this chapter, I'm going to say this to those who are wondering if Sora is going to be in the Contest to battle against Kairi, the answer is going to be no. It's going to be Kris because of the cameos she made during the Sinnoh arc in the anime as Marina. It makes more sense that way. Enjoy the chapter and the Pokémon Contest that is to come!
After putting an end to an attempt in avenging Team Rocket for its downfall, Sora, Kairi, Ethan, Kris, Lyra, Pikachu, Angel, and Marill have arrived to Gardenia Town.
"We made it to Gardenia Town," Lyra said.
"Marill," Marill said.
"Well, the Gardenia Town Pokémon Contest doesn't start until a few days, so Kairi has plenty of time to practice for it," Sora said.
"Speaking of which, have you made up your mind on who to use?" Kris asked.
"Actually, I thought about using Togekiss for it. Togekiss isn't just a performer, but also a battler, so I figured he'll be able to hold his own," Kairi said.
"Well, you used him back at the Porta Vista Pokémon Contest, so I wonder what you'll present for everyone this time?" Ethan asked.
"You'll see," Kairi said.
A few days came and went as Kairi and her Togekiss have trained hard for the Gardenia Town Pokémon Contest.
Meanwhile, a fair skinned girl and her Raticate were looking for a place to register for the Pokémon Contest, and she looked a tad lost. She has green hair with a sidetail. She wore a light green shirt, blue jeans, and, and gray shoes. The Raticate has shorter whiskers than Sora's Raticate.
"Wonder where we sign up?" The girl asked.
"Raticate," Raticate said.
"Great job, Togekiss," Kairi said. Hearing Kairi's voice, the girl approached Kairi, wanting to know the directions.
"Excuse me, miss," the girl politely said. Kairi turned to the girl.
"Something I can help you with?" Kairi asked.
"I need to sign up for the Contest, but I don't know where. Do you know where the registration desk is?" The girl asked.
"Sure. Over there. Just walk in through those doors and straight inside. They'll have it taken care of for you," Kairi said, pointing to the Contest Hall.
"Wow, thanks so much," the girl said, bowing her head with gratitude. She turned to her Raticate. "Come on, Raticate."
"Raticate," Raticate said, walking with her Trainer.
"Judging by how that looked, it looks like she's entering a Pokémon Contest for the first time," Lyra said.
"Marill," Marill said.
"Well, everyone needs to be pushed in the right direction," Kairi said.
"Eevee," Angel said.
Just then, a young woman came and spotted Angel. She has fair skin, dark brown hair, and dark brown eyes. She wore an orange shirt, a red skirt, black stockings, and red shoes. She gasped when she went over to Angel.
"My, my, oh my!" The young woman said.
"Um, excuse me," Kairi said, feeling uncomfortable.
"You are so cute. And that pink bow just makes you look even cuter," the young woman said.
"Eevee," Angel said. She turned to Kairi.
"Does this Eevee belong to you?" The young woman asked.
"Yes, she is. Her name's Angel," Kairi said.
"Eevee," Angel said.
"It's very nice to meet you, Angel," the young woman said. The group sat down to talk with the young woman.
"We should introduce ourselves. My name's Sora, this is Pikachu," Sora introduced.
"Pikachu," Pikachu said.
"I'm Kairi, and you already met Angel," Kairi said.
"Eevee," Angel said.
"I'm Ethan."
"My name's Kris."
"And I'm Lyra, and this is Marill," Lyra introduced.
"Marill," Marill said.
"It's very nice to meet you. I'm Yuma. I'm a Pokémon Breeder," Yuma said.
"That explains it," Sora said.
"Since this is your Eevee, may I assume you're entering the Gardenia Contest?" Yuma asked.
"Yes. I'm entering it for a chance to earn my fifth Ribbon," Kairi said.
"Oh, you have four Ribbons already. I see. When I look at Angel, I can tell she's being well-taken care of. Her coat is soft and shiny. Also, I can tell by how healthy she looks," Yuma said.
"Thank you," Kairi said.
"I must ask you, are you a Pokémon Breeder as well?" Yuma asked.
"No, but I do keep tabs on my Pokémon's health by giving them exercise and appropriate food for them to eat," Kairi said.
"She's a natural for that. She does the same thing for our Pokémon, too," Sora said.
"I don't doubt it. Your Pikachu and Marill look like they're in good shape," Yuma said. She turned to Kairi. "What kind of Pokémon food have you been feeding your Pokémon?"
"Just my own recipe. Here is an example the Pokémon food I give to Angel," Kairi said, taking out some of her Pokémon food.
"Let me see," Yuma said, tasting a piece. "Mmm. Perfect. There's everything a Normal-type Pokémon needs for a complete and balanced diet."
"Thank you for the kind compliment," Kairi said.
"I think you would make an excellent Pokémon Breeder," Yuma said.
"I'll keep that in mind," Kairi said.
"So, any particular reason you're interested in Pokémon Contests, Yuma?" Ethan asked.
"Well, I used to compete in Contests not too long ago," Yuma said.
"If you were a Pokémon Coordinator, does that mean you competed in the Grand Festival?" Kris asked.
"Yes, and I won," Yuma said. The group were amazed.
"Seriously? That's awesome," Sora said.
"When you think about it, being a Pokémon Coordinator and a Pokémon Breeder does a lot in common," Kairi said.
"It was all those breeding techniques I learned that allowed me to win in the first place. These days, I make it my mission to pass on these techniques to those new to the Contest world," Yuma said.
"You don't mind if I ask a question, do you, Yuma?" Kairi asked.
"Not at all, Kairi," Yuma said.
"Okay, say if I were to ask if you could teach me some of your techniques, would you teach me some of what you know?" Kairi asked.
"Then I'll have to turn you down because I can only take in beginners. And you're already a well-seasoned Pokémon Coordinator," Yuma said.
"That makes sense. Thanks for answering my question," Kairi said.
"Now, I have a question to ask for the four of you. Have you thought of entering a Pokémon Contest as well?" Yuma asked.
"Well, I thought about it, but the thing is, I'm not much of a performer. I pretty much have stage fright, and had it since kindergarten," Lyra said.
"I didn't think too much about it, but I pretty much do Gym battles. That and I don't wanna upstage Kairi," Sora said.
"Pikachu," Pikachu said.
"I never thought about entering Pokémon Contests because I'm more of a battler anyway," Ethan said.
"Actually, I did think of entering a Pokémon Contest before," Kris said. Sora and Lyra looked at her.
"You did?!" Sora asked.
"Uh-huh," Kris admitted.
"Since when?" Sora asked.
"For a while," Ethan said. Sora looked at Ethan, puzzled. "What?"
"How long did you know about it?" Sora asked.
"Ever since she told me," Ethan said. Sora looked at Lyra.
"Did you know, too?" Sora asked.
"Actually, I've been in the dark about it just as you," Lyra said.
"I can't really blame Sora for being surprised about it. And it was my idea to keep it a secret until I was ready to say anything," Kris said.
"I can respect that," Sora said.
"Well, I think it's a great idea," Kairi said, smiling. She walked up to Kris. "If you wanna compete, then I think you should."
"Thank you, Kairi. Now, if you excuse me," Kris said, heading for the Contest Hall. She came out a few minutes later and became registered for the Gardenia Town Contest. "I'm in."
"You don't think maybe Kairi just gained another new rival?" Lyra asked.
"She's only being a supportive friend," Sora said.
"As much I wanted to cheer on Kairi, but I'm gonna have to-" Ethan was cut off.
"Don't even finish that sentence, Ethan. I know you'll be supporting your girlfriend, like I'm supporting mine," Sora said.
"Marill, let's cheer on both Kairi and Kris, okay?" Lyra asked.
"Marill!" Marill said.
Meanwhile, over to Count Ernesh's mansion, Kanako had caught wind of Loki being gone.
"That Loki. Sometimes, I think the Master is a bad judge of character when it came to Loki," Kanako said.
"So, Loki has stepped out again," Count Ernesh said, approaching Kanako, much to her surprise.
"Master! You knew about-" Kanako paused.
"I have known Loki had stepped out to be in the Pokémon Contest in Saffron City. And I know he has stepped out once again," Count Ernesh said.
"Don't be angry with me, Master. I tried to keep better tabs over him, but he just has a mind of his own. I..." Kanako said.
"Do not explain, my dear. Loki is unique among you and the others. I knew it was a manner of time before he came across his former friends. And I know Loki has his own plans of operations. And I believe Loki's plan may give us more of an insight to Benjamin and Rei's other apprentices. And it may help identify who are the other Guardians of Kingdom Hearts. Lord Insidious has foreseen all of this," Count Ernesh said.
"I am relieved you are not angered at me, Master. How soon will we reveal ourselves to the Guardians of Kingdom Hearts?" Kanako asked.
"Be patient, my apprentice. The time will come soon enough. Loki is only the prelude to the events that are to come. And I believe he will succeed in his plans. And he will certainly find the joy in it when it comes to his signature mischief," Count Ernesh said.
Back in Gardenia Town, the Contest has officially begun as Kairi and Kris went to the back to await for their turn.
"Ladies and gentlemen, it's showtime! Hold onto your seats as we bring you people of Gardenia Town, your Pokémon Contest, coming to you live from Gardenia Stadium! I'm Lillian, and you know who you are, so give yourselves a hand!" Lillian announced as the crowd cheered on.
"Pika, Pika!" Pikachu cheered.
"Eevee, vee!" Angel cheered.
"Marill! Marill! Marill!" Marill cheered.
Astride, Erik, and Anders are among the spectators as they watch on. Lillian holds out a purple and lavender ribbon.
"Here is what our Coordinators are going for! The Gardenia Ribbin!" Lillian announced.
"Wow, what a cute ribbon," Kris said.
"I felt the same way when I started competing in Pokémon Contests. But I also felt nervous and excited at the same time, I thought my stomach was doing back flips," Kairi said.
"You mean like when you competed in the Princess Festival battles and in the Poké Maiden Tournament?" Kris asked.
"You could say that," Kairi said.
"Now, it is time to introduce you to our judges! The organizing committee head, Mr. Raul Contesta!" Lillian announced.
"Thank you. Great to be here!" Contesta said.
"Next, the head of the Pokémon Fan Club, a wise of a few words, Mr. Suziko!" Lillian announced.
"Thank you. Remarkable," Suziko said.
"And former Top Coordinator and fashion queen of the Kanto fashion world; give a big hand for Rumiko Nonaka!" Lillian announced.
"I'm happy to be here," Rumiko said.
"Now, it's time for the first round! And I got a question for you! Are you ready?!" Lillian asked. The entire crowd cheered hard and loudly as they can. "Wow! I guess you are! No sense putting it off any more, so let's get busy!" The crowd cheered hard again. Just then, the girl from before comes out, holding a small log.
"Thank you very much," the girl said.
"It's that girl from before," Lyra said.
"Go! Raticate!" The girl threw her Pokéball. Her Raticate came out. She threw the small log. "Use Hyper Fang!" Raticate uses her Hyper Fang to chew on the log into little splinters.
"Wow, those are impressive choppers. That Raticate looks like it make a Bibarel look lazy," Sora said.
"The temperature is rising in here! Bring out our next entrance!" Lillian announced as Kairi stepped in next and took out her Pokéball and threw it.
"Togekiss! Go!" Kairi called out. Togekiss came out and took flight. "Aura Sphere!" Togekiss forms an Aura Sphere and sends it upwards.
"Togekiss makes an amazing start with that Aura Sphere!" Lillian announced.
"Now, use Fairy Wind!" Kairi ordered. Togekiss flapped his wings, sending out Fairy Wind, colliding with Aura Sphere. Fairy Wind and Aura Sphere mixes up, creating a cascade of unique colors. The crowd ends up being captivated.
"Kairi's been working hard at that," Sora said.
"Pikachu," Pikachu said.
"Eevee," Angel said.
"It's paying off. Togekiss's appeal is shining through," Yuma said.
"Now, use Air Slash!" Kairi ordered. Togekiss unleashed an Air Slash, adding into the mix of Aura Sphere and Fairy Wind.
"Togekiss's Air Slash is being added in along with Aura Sphere and Fairy Wind! How will Kairi wrap this up?" Lillian asked.
"Let's finish up with Aerial Ace!" Kairi ordered. Togekiss dashed at the three move combo, landing a hit. It covered Togekiss from head to to, making the Jubilee Pokémon give off a majestic shine of many different colors. Togekiss spreads his wings and the colors come off, exploding like fireworks.
"Now, that was quite a show!" Lillian announced.
"A truly colorful performance," Contesta said.
"Yes. Remarkable," Suziko said.
"I agree. It was able to amplify Togekiss's beauty," Rumiko said.
"Let's keep this train rolling!" Lillian announced as other performances came. One is an Arbok who uses a Wrap. Another is a Sableye who uses Shadow Ball and Slash. Another is a Manectric with Discharge. Another is an Electivire with a Thunder Punch, a Magmortar with Fire Blast, a Sylveon with Moonblast, and an Alolan Raichu surfing on its own electricity. "I haven't seen an array of Pokémon in a long time! So, let's bring out our final entry! Let's give a big hand for Kris from New Bark Town!" Kris stepped out.
"Hello there, everyone! Here I am to bring out a smile on your face!" Kris said as everyone cheered. She took out a Pokéball and threw it. "It's showtime, Little Miss!" Her Pokéball opened and Little Miss emerged from inside.
"Knock 'em dead, Little Miss!" Ethan called out.
"Little Miss! Begin with Perish Song!" Kris ordered. Little Miss began to sing and red music notes came out from her mouth.
"Such a lovely voice for a Ghost-type like Misdreavus to have! Even though Perish Song hurts its user as well as the opponent! But I can tell it's worth the pain just to hear one's own voice!" Lillian announced.
"Quite a harmonious melody," Contesta said.
"Remarkable," Suziko said.
"Kris's Misdreavus has such a lovely singing voice. I simply adore it," Rumiko said.
"Do a little dance and use your Psybeam!" Kris ordered. Little Miss dances around while firing Psybeam. As she danced, Little Miss's Psybeam twirls around.
"This is amazing! Misdreavus is using its Psybeam like a ballerina in a ballet! Simply gorgeous!" Lillian announced. The crowd cheered for Kris.
"Thank you, everybody! You were a wonderful audience! I hope I get to perform for you again someday!" Kris announced.
Kairi was amazed by how Kris performed.
"Wow, Kris is a better Coordinator than I thought she'd be. I'm not too surprised since she knows how to put on a good show," Kairi said.
Up above, Astride, Erik, and Anders were watching from start to finish.
"Wow, that was amazing," Erik said.
"I'll say. Kairi's Togekiss being a flying rainbow was one thing, but the ballet Misdreavus really knocked my boots off," Anders said.
"I admit it was awe-inspiring. Now, let's see how far they'll go," Astride said.
"Great! That brings round 1 to a ravaging finish! Now, let's have a look at the eight Coordinators who are moving on to round 2! On screen!" Lillian announced. It shows Kairi, Kris, and the girl being among the eight Coordinators.
"Alright! They both made it!" Ethan exclaimed.
"After the performances our girls pulled off, I don't see any reason why they shouldn't," Sora said.
"Round 2 should be interesting," Yuma said.
"Let's get along with shuffle and let Lady Luck determine the matchups!" Lillian announced as it shows Kairi being the first battle and Kris being the fourth.
"You know, Kris, if you keep this up, you can make it up to the finals," Kairi said.
"Maybe, but I was more interested in putting on a good performance. I didn't really care if I make it to the finals or not," Kris said.
"You just like to see people happy and have a good time. That's what I respected about you," Kairi said.
"Thank you, Kairi. Let's give it everything we got out there. No matter who wins, may the best Coordinator win," Kris said.
"That's a promise," Kairi said. Kairi and Kris shook hands. Just then, Sora, Ethan, Yuma, Pikachu, and Angel came up to them.
"Look at that. It looks like our girls aren't going to let a rivalry get in the way," Ethan said.
"They sure aren't," Sora said.
"You were both awesome out there," Ethan said.
"Thank you, Ethan. You're very sweet," Kris said, kissing Ethan on the lips.
"I have to say, I was amazed by your display, Kairi. I was glued to my seat. I can see why you earned those four Ribbons," Yuma said.
"Thank you, Yuma. That's nice of you to say," Kairi said.
"And Kris, I have a question to ask you," Yuma said.
"Sure. You may ask," Kris said.
"After you're done here, would like to come and study with me?" Yuma asked, shocking the couples.
The second round begins as Kairi and her opponent entered the stage for the battle.
"Okay, it's time for the second round! I'll tell you if you think it's been hot so far, watch out! So, let's get busy!" Lillian announced.
Kairi sends out her Togekiss against a Trainer who has a Machamp. Togekiss managed to defeat Machamp by using an Aerial Ace, earning the win. Other battles came and went as the fourth battle began. She took out a Pokéball and threw it.
"Absol! Take the stage!" The girl called out as her Absol came on out. Kris took out her Pokéball and threw it.
"It's showtime, Wani-Wani!" Kris called out. Wani-Wani emerged from inside, ready to battle.
"Feraligatr!" Wani-Wani roared.
"Absol! Razor Wind!" The girl ordered. Absol unleashed Razor Wind.
"Dodge it, Wani-Wani!" Kris called out. Wani-Wani avoids Absol's Razor Wind. "Now, use your Hydro Pump to slow it down!" Wani-Wani fired Hydro Pump, making Absol, slip.
"Yuma, you want Kris to study with you rather if she wins or loses?" Sora asked.
"Of course, Sora. I can't think of anyone I'd rather spend my time with anyone who would make a great Breeder and Coordinator," Yuma said.
"Use your Ice Punch!" Kris ordered. Feraligatr lands an Ice Punch onto Absol, dealing some heavy damage and resulting in a knockout.
"Poor Absol," the girl said.
"Great job, Wani-Wani!" Kris said.
Kairi and Kris had their other battles, leading up to the final round.
"Folks, it's time for the ultimate spectacle of might and fury! Get ready for the final battle!" Lillian announced.
"It's just you and me," Kris said.
"Yeah," Kairi agreed.
"Fasten your seat belts and let's get busy!" Lillian announced. Kairi and Kris took out their Pokéballs and threw them.
"Togekiss! Go!" Kairi called out.
"I choose you, Wani-Wani!" Kris called out.
Both Togekiss and Wani-Wani came out at the same time.
"Aura Sphere!" Kairi ordered. Togekiss unleashed Aura Sphere and sends it at Feraligatr.
"Use Ice Punch to block it!" Kris ordered. Wani-Wani lands an Ice Punch to block Togekiss's Aura Sphere.
"What the?!" Kairi gasped.
"Now, Wani-Wani! Use Slash!" Kris ordered. Wani-Wani ran towards Togekiss to land a slash.
"Up in the air!" Kairi called out. Togekiss hovered into the air, avoiding Wani-Wani's Slash.
"That was fast! Togekiss is taking flight!" Lillian announced.
"Be ready when Togekiss comes down to attack," Kris said.
"Gatr," Wani-Wani said.
"Use Air Slash!" Kairi ordered. Togekiss flapped his wings and sends out Air Slash right at the Feraligatr.
"Dodge it, Wani-Wani!" Kris called out. Wani-Wani managed to dodge Togekiss's Air Slash just by running.
"Incredible speed!" Contesta said.
"Kris's Feraligatr can move fast on land just as well as it can swim fast!" Rumiko said.
"Use Fairy Wind!" Kairi ordered. Togekiss flapped her wings and blew right into Wani-Wani, cutting into Kris's points.
"So, Togekiss isn't going to come down, huh? Then we can bring him down. Wani-Wani! Jump in the air and use Slash!" Kris ordered. Kairi gasped when Feraligatr jumped in the air. Feraligatr lands a Slash onto Togekiss, cutting into Kairi's points. "Use Ice Fang!" Wani-Wani came at Togekiss with Ice Fang, dealing some additional damage.
"That combination of Slash and Ice Fang hammers it home!" Lillian announced.
"Quick, Togekiss! Use Aura Sphere!" Kairi ordered. Togekiss unleashed Aura Sphere and sends it right at Wani-Wani.
"Hydro Pump!" Kris ordered. Feraligatr fired Hydro Pump right at Aura Sphere, blocking it completely. "Now, use Ice Punch!" Feraligatr rushed at Togekiss and lands an Ice Punch.
"Another devastating combination from Feraligatr!" Lillian announced.
"Aerial Ace!" Kairi ordered. Togekiss flew right at Wani-Wani, landing a blow on him. "Aerial Ace again and again!" Togekiss lands a series of hits onto Wani-Wani.
"Feraligatr is just taking those hits from Togekiss's Aerial Ace!" Lillian announced.
"Wani-Wani's just taking it," Sora said.
"Kris didn't just work on Wani-Wani's dance moves, but she also had him work on his muscles after evolving from a Croconaw. She figured it was best for Wani-Wani to work out on a regular basis in order for him to build his defenses," Ethan said.
"You can say it was like using Bulk Up," Lyra said.
"That explains why Feraligatr looks so strong," Yuma said.
"Despite being pelted by Togekiss's Aerial Ace repeatedly, Feraligatr is still standing on its feet!" Lillian announced.
"Use Ice Punch on the ground!" Kris ordered. Wani-Wani slammed his fist on the ground, freezing it.
"Feraligatr's Ice Punch just froze the entire battlefield, but I wonder why!" Lillian announced.
"Use Air Slash!" Kairi ordered. Togekiss fired Air Slash right at Wani-Wani.
"Dodge it!" Kris called out. Wani-Wani slides on the ice, like he was ice skating.
"Now, I see! Feraligatr is using the battlefield as an ice rink!" Lillian announced.
"Use Hydro Pump!" Kris ordered. Wani-Wani fired Hydro Pump, hitting Togekiss, cutting into Kairi's points with a minute remaining.
"And it's a direct hit on an airborne target!" Lillian announced.
"Wani-Wani isn't just strong, but fast. If only there was a way I could keep him from moving," Kairi said to herself. She then gets an idea. She thought of attacking in front of Wani-Wani instead of directly. She just needed to give Wani-Wani a reason to move. "Togekiss! Fairy Wind!" Togekiss blew Fairy Wind at Wani-Wani.
"Dodge it!" Kris called out. Wani-Wani skates to dodge. Kairi grinned because Wani-Wani was now doing what she wanted him to.
"Great. Aura Sphere, but fire it in Wani-Wani's path!" Kairi ordered. Togekiss fired Aura Sphere in Wani-Wani's path, making a small explosion and literally broke the ice. Wani-Wani slipped and fell on his back, costing Kris more of her points.
"A well-executed Aura Sphere! It looks like there'll be no gold medal for Feraligatr for that fall!" Lillian announced.
"That was awesome. The ice was helping Wani-Wani, but now Kairi can use it to shatter it," Lyra said.
"Kairi has shown her cleverness as has Kris," Yuma said.
"Use Hydro Pump!" Kris ordered. Wani-Wani fired Hydro Pump right at Togekiss.
"Dodge it!" Kairi called out. Togekiss dodges Wani-Wani's Hydro Pump, cutting into Kris's points.
"Just twenty seconds left to go," Lillian announced.
"Aura Sphere!" Kairi ordered. Togekiss fired another Aura Sphere and sent at Wani-Wani, landing some heavy damage. "Use Aerial Ace!" Togekiss dashed into Wani-Wani again.
"Use Aura Sphere!" Kairi ordered.
"Use Hydro Pump!" Kris ordered.
Both Pokémon fired their attacks, colliding. The contact resulted in an explosion. Togekiss and Wani-Wani came at each other again, but the clock has stopped. The screen showed Kairi has more points than Kris does.
"And we're all out of time! It's a squeaker, but the winner is Kairi!" Lillian announced.
The crowd all cheered hard.
"We did it, Togekiss!" Kairi cheered.
"Toge!" Togekiss said.
Kris walked up to Wani-Wani and she smiled.
"You were amazing, Wani-Wani. I knew all those hours of workouts and dancing practices would pay off for you," Kris said.
"Gatr," Wani-Wani said, feeling bad for letting Kris down.
"Now, now, don't be blue. You did your best, and that's all that should ever matter. Besides, you're always number one to me," Kris said. Wani-Wani smiled, feeling better.
The Contest was now coming to a close as Kairi and Togekiss are standing before the judges and Lillian, along with some of the other Coordinators, including Kris. She didn't care that she lost. She had fun, and she knew Kairi deserved the Ribbon more than she did.
"Kairi, I am pleased to present you, the prodigious Gardenia Ribbon! Ladies and gentlemen, presenting your Gardenia Town Pokémon Contest winner, Kairi and her fabulous Togekiss!" Lillian announced.
"And the Gardenia Ribbon makes five," Kairi said.
"Togekiss!" Togekiss said.
After the Contest, Yuma stood before Kris and told her that she wasn't going to take her under her wing. Instead, she'll be taking in Kris's opponent instead.
"It's kinda funny, because I was gonna turn you down," Kris said.
"You mean, you never had any intentions of going with Yuma, Kris?" Lyra asked.
"No, I didn't. I only performed in it because I wanted to show off my talent, and it looks like I did that. That would mean I would be leaving the team, and I didn't wanna do that," Kris said.
"I had a feeling you were gonna stick around," Kairi said.
"Well, I would have gone with you if you did, Kris. Just to show my support," Ethan said.
"The reason I won't be taking you in, Kris, is because you're already a great Coordinator even though it was your first time. I couldn't possibly teach you anything new," Yuma said.
"I understand, Yuma. But I was flattered by your offer," Kris said.
"We're happy that you're learning from her, Mollie," Lyra said.
"Best of luck to you," Kairi said.
"Thank you, Kairi," Mollie said.
"Yeah, we can see you have a bright future in front of you," Kris said.
"You're very nice, Kris," Mollie said.
"Congratulations on earning your fifth Ribbon, Kairi. I am looking forward of seeing you in the Grand Festival," Yuma said.
"Thank you, Yuma. I'll do my best," Kairi said.
"Well, it was nice meeting all of you. Farewell," Yuma said.
"Bye-bye," Mollie said.
"Bye," Sora, Kairi, Ethan, Kris, and Lyra said.
Now Kairi has earned all five of her Contest Ribbons, she has now earned the rights and privileges in entering the Grand Festival. Also, there is the matter of the Pokémon Stadium Cup, so let's hope Sora and the others will be in for some tough battles. Stay tuned if you want more excitement.
