~ Kira University, President's Room ~

"Mr. President Jurgas! Mr. President! We have an emergency!" An Audino raced across the room and to the desk.

"What is it Arin?! What's going on!?"

"A feral on school grounds! According to law enforcement, it's an alpha!"

"Great, just what we needed. And after the incidents with the Magcargo and the Eternarift, I won't have any more mishaps on this university's grounds!"

The chair spun around to reveal a Scizor, whose bottom left and right pincers were adorned with bracers of pure steel, one of which had a strange crystal embedded in a notch and in the other was an orb that contained a strange pink energy.

"I'll go fetch security and go see what's going on down there. You make sure that all the students and faculty are safe." The Scizor demanded.

"Understood, Mr. President."

As Arin left the room, President Jurgas abruptly froze in the center of the room. He closed his eyes and took a deep breath. When his surroundings seemed clear, he sprang a luminous orb from his pocket and lifted it up high, shining a bright light in the room. Looking upwards, he sighted a faint outline of some ghost-type pokemon hanging out of the wall. All it took was one bullet punch to said wall to knock a Gengar from hiding.

"You can't hide from me! What do you want!?" The Scizor shouted.

"Gweh heh heh!" Therian giggled, "You really want to know?"

A shadow ball was launched from the mouth of the Gengar, however it was easily dodged by the Scizor. 'Almost too easy,' he thought to himself, launching another bullet punch of his own in retaliation. The Gengar, not taking the hits too well, fell to the ground within seconds.

"Tell me, or I'll fold your tongue inward and force you to eat it."

"Okay, okay I'll tell ya! Yeah… I'll tell ya…"

The Gengar floated back upward towards the ceiling, much to the anger of the Scizor, snickering all the way. "I'm just a distraction. I just needed you to stay here for just a weeee bit longer. And by the looks of it, we got you good!"

"What!? What does that mean?!"

"Gooosh, do I have to explain it to ya? Ya've been played! By now we already have gotten our little 'treasure' and are hightailing it outta here! But we won't leave ya empty handed! We've left a little present somewhere on campus, but where is it? You gotta find it!"

Therian cracked an escape orb on the ceiling and left through a portal. Enraged, the Scizor sprinted out of the room and into the foyer where many pokemon were scattering about, all rushing to different locations, thus making it difficult to make out where to start looking. Clearing his throat loudly, he commanded the attention of everybody still around.

"Everybody, this is an emergency situation! Inform the authorities, we may have another terrorist attack on school grounds!"

~ Kira University, Dormitory Square - 1 hour later ~

Kruler tapped her fingers together, unsure of what to do. Looking upward, she found that Kroto and Traximus felt the same way, seeing as the two boys' anxieties were evident from the way Kroto tapped his foot and Traximus was pacing around.

"Well, now what?" The totodile asked, "Think we'll have classes tomorrow, Kroto?"

"Nope." the passimian responded, "With what's been happening as of late, I'd be surprised if any classes happened tomorrow. By the way, have you seen Palla lately?"

"Good question, I wonder where Tusks' gotten to lately."

"Tusks?"

"That's what I'm calling her now." Kruler rubbed her snout with her finger, "What do you think, Traximus?"

"Oh," the Bagon responded, "It's fitting, I guess."

There was a bout of silence following the conversation. The trio eventually turned their attention to the scrambling faculty members and relevant authorities. Pokemon of various sizes scrambled about with devices, possibly searching for something.

Kroto gave a heavy sigh, "Any idea what they're looking for?"

"Nah," Kruler moped, "But I can't just sit around here anymore! I've got to do something!"

"Then might I suggest starting by answering some questions?"

A detective Urshifu appeared from behind the trio holding a notepad and some ink. Written on his face was a scornful look.

"Officer…? Can we help you?" Kruler asked nervously.

"Yes. We need to know if you have seen any suspicious characters lately."

Kruler looked between Kroto and Traximus, both of which shrugged at her. Looking back to the officer, she grunted, "Nope. Haven't seen anybody."

"Right, right… So a question for the young man in the back: you're Traximus, right?"

The Bagon lifted his head immediately, "Yes, why?"

"Your friend, an Axew, admitted to us that you have recently been in an Eternarift. We would like to know your account of what happened, if you could step aside for me."

With the Bagon doing as instructed, Kroto tapped Kruler on the shoulder, drawing her attention to him. "What's up?"

The Passimian redirected her attention to an Audino that seemed to be leisurely walking through the shifting crowd. "See that?"

Kruler tilted her head, "The Audino? What about him?"

"Doesn't he seem uncharacteristically calm with what's happening?"

"Hmm. Yeah." Kruler scouted her surroundings. Seemingly having no attention on them, she whispered, "Think we ought to go see what's up?"

"Yeah. Let's not bring any unwanted attention, though."

The duo headed in the direction of the Audino, though at a safe distance. They headed through several hallways, and down a path that lead to a janitor's closet. Hiding behind a corner, they waited for a few seconds as the Audino checked the surrounding area. Once the Audino thought the coast was clear, he went into the closet. After which, Kroto and Kruler camped out behind the closet door and pressed their ears, listening into a conversation.

"Did you plant the Eterna Orb?"

"Charge is set to an hour. Once the five minute mark passes, the charge can't be diffused."

Kroto looked to Kruler with sweat running down his face and whispered, "One hour? Damn!"

"Shh." Kruler shushed as she listened back into the conversation.

"Did you get the key?"

"'Derge hadn't come back with the key yet. But I think he should get it soon."

"You. I assume your distraction went south?"

"Gweh! His bullet punches hurt! Of course it went south!"

"Wait. The connection orb is glowing… It's probably 'Derge."

"Yeah? What's up boss man?"

"...You've got the key? Good. We'll escape orb outta here and we'll meet back up in the commons area."

Kruler looked to Kroto with anger written all over her face and whispered, "The commons area. We'll get there first!"

"Wait," Kroto scolded, "We are not going to play the hero. Not at least until we know what we're up against."

"Why not?"

The Passimian tapped his implant, "Do you want a repeat of this, but on you instead? Besides, the authorities are outside. What's the chances they escape?"

"You have a point," the Totodile relented, "But if the cops catch us, what do we say? If we spill the beans, we might get grilled as well."

"We can figure something, but let's-"

At that moment, the door popped open, revealing a Gengar, Drapion and the Audino from earlier. All five pokemon exchanged tense glances.

"Gweh?!" The Gengar spat, "Eavesdroppers?!"

"Kruler!" Kroto shouted, "This isn't looking good!"

"Take them out! We can't have witnesses!" Arin declared, taking initiative by charging at Kruler with a thunder punch. Luckily, Kroto dragged Kruler out of the way, causing the Audino to skid to a halt right before hitting the opposite side of the wall.

"Nice save," Kruler cheered, then turning to the Audino, "Now it's our turn!"

Kruler charged up a waterfall attack in her right arm, and charged at Arin. Evidently, the Audino didn't feel the need to dodge, as Kruler scored a direct hit, seemingly too easily. Though, it did more damage than she expected, as Arin was sent into the next wall.

Dragging himself off the floor, the Audino grunted, "Dammit! How could a Totodile have that much power?!"

"I just do!" Kruler shouted, as she launched another waterfall with her left hand.

This time, the Audino managed to evade the incoming attack by leaning to his left. "A little help here would be appreciated!" He commanded.

Kroto began to hear the noise of something charging behind him. Turning around, he realized that the Gengar was winding up a point-blank shadow ball aimed straight for his chest. Wasting no time, he launched an acrobatics attack at the Gengar, scoring a direct hit and dispelling the shadow ball. In the midst of the conflict, Hera spewed out a hurl of purple-coated spikes that scattered all over the floor beneath the Passimian and the Totodile.

Looking downward, Kruler instantly recognized the objects, "Ah! Toxic spikes! Kroto, watch your step!"

The relatively straightforward fight for Kruler suddenly became a dance, as she had to navigate the battlefield without accidentally stepping on one of the spikes. Kroto, meanwhile, hopped from wall to wall, using his acrobatics to keep himself above ground. Having limited options, Kruler continued her attacks on the Audino, however with the new obstacle, she found it harder for her attacks to land reliably.

"Not so cocky now, are you Totodile?" The Audino sneered, throwing a thunder punch directly at her face. Luckily, Kruler braced herself for the impact, but still took substantial damage and was launched backwards.

Complicating the issue, the Totodile felt something prick her underneath her foot. Then a burning sensation overcame her leg. 'The spikes!' She gritted her teeth and steadied her breathing. With the threat of the Audino still relatively large, she found herself angrier than ever.

~ Hall of Ordination - At About that time ~

Palla found herself hanging about after class. It seemed like there was something happening outside of these walls, and she didn't have the slightest idea.

But it wasn't like she wanted to find out anyway…

She was content to stay back where it was safe with some other students that were huddled about the room, presumably with the thought that they would be fine. Unfortunately, some rumbling from underneath the floor caused their hearts to lurch up into their throats.

'W-What is that noise…?' Palla thought to herself, as she scuttled closer to the north eastern corner of the room. The Axew found herself bumping into an Electabuzz next to her, who shouted, "AH! H-hey! Watch it!"

"S-sorry…" Palla moved to her right a little when the rumbling suddenly stopped. 'Is…Is it gone?'

Then a Thud. From the eastern wall. The pokemon immediately froze.

Thud! Thud! Thud!

'What is that?! Somebody help! Please!'

The eastern wall cracked open, revealing an incredibly large, red-eyed Druddigon. Alongside the Druddigon was several feral Dragonair and Pupitar. The ferals immediately began attacking the other students, systematically felling the incapable students.

The Druddigon then eyed Palla, making a beeline for her. She immediately curled up in the corner, and yet, the Druddigon stopped before it could truly reach her, as if it were contemplating something…

Gullverian Agents' Codec: Protocol Black/Blackout

Protocol Black is an operation that enables excessive force to detain and capture potentially hostile targets. It is typically reserved for individuals that are thought to be armed and dangerous. However, Protocol Black does NOT authorize an agent to take lethal force, even in the most dire of circumstances. Such force is only authorized in Protocol Blackout, where an individual is deemed too dangerous to even contain. Such individuals will be put down by any means necessary, even if the situation costs civilian personnel.
