Six months had passed since the Fourth Great Shinobi War had ended at the hands of the now recognized hero of Konoha and the shinobi world, Naruto Uzumaki, a candidate to be the next Hokage after the future retirement of the current Rokudaime Hokage, Kakashi Hatake.

Though for Naruto, even after having lived through the wars against Pain, Madara, and Kaguya, it was clear that he was still far from being the strongest Hokage. However, he possessed superhuman strength, fueled by the aid of his partner Kurama.

But his last battle with his best friend, Sasuke Uchiha, opened his eyes to the areas he needed to improve. Despite having access to all five chakra natures through the Six Paths Sage Mode, he hadn't fully utilized his potential during the war against Kaguya and the others. But with time, he realized the need to exploit his abilities to their fullest.

He didn't have to think twice before starting to exploit his abilities to their maximum capacity. Though he knew he wasn't a genius like Sasuke or his sensei, he had his own methods, none of which they could use without paying a high price.

The Shadow Clone technique, for example, required the user to divide their chakra among the clones, which could quickly deplete their reserves if they were low on chakra or created too many clones. However, any experience gained by the clones during their existence was transferred to the user once they dispersed. This made the technique perfect for tasks like espionage, as the user could send a clone to perform a task, and once it dispersed, the information obtained would pass to the original.

Despite the danger the technique posed to the user, Naruto had the advantage of having a tailed beast inside him to assist him, along with his healing factor as a Jinchūriki.

He took advantage of this to train in each chakra nature with the help of his sensei and advice from veteran shinobi who had retired after the Third and Fourth Great Shinobi Wars.

While training in each chakra nature was challenging, he was not one to easily give up. If he were, he would have given up long ago on his promise to bring Sasuke back to the village or become the strongest shinobi in his village.

However, now that his goals had been achieved, he questioned whether becoming Hokage was a good decision. He had surpassed previous Hokages, been recognized as a hero by his village even before the Fourth Great Ninja War began, and defeated Sasuke in their last battle to bring him back, albeit at the cost of losing his right arm.

But he didn't worry much about that now, as he had recovered it a month ago with Tsunade's help, who had made him a new arm using cells from the First Hokage. It had been a long process to use it correctly, but being the reincarnation of Ashura and a member of the Uzumaki clan made the recovery process faster than expected, facilitating his training.

Now, what he held in his hands was a scroll with instructions for performing the Flying Thunder God technique. He had gone to his sensei just two weeks ago to ask for help with something that could make him stronger and faster in his attacks, to be less dependent on shadow clones and Kurama's chakra.

It was there that his sensei gave him the scroll that had made his father so feared in the elemental nations: the Flying Thunder God technique.

According to what he had read, this technique allowed the user to move from one location to another in the blink of an eye. Though often compared to teleportation jutsu, the speed and range of this technique were much greater (considered the fastest jutsu of all time). Initially, this jutsu was similar to the Summoning Jutsu, revolving around the manipulation of time and space instead of accelerated movement, but instead of receiving, it sent.

Though it seemed like a high-speed movement over long distances, it was actually an instant space-time teleportation movement. Therefore, it was not comparable to the high-speed movement of the Body Flicker Technique; rather, the principle of the technique was similar to the Summoning Jutsu.

Thanks to this, users could fly through space-time with a speed that surpassed the Body Flicker Technique. To activate the technique, the user had to place a special seal or the "Technique Formula" (Jutsu-Shiki) to mark the desired destination. Once this was done, the user entered a dimensional void that instantly transported them to the seal. The seal could be applied almost anywhere through simple physical contact, including the opponent themselves or any medium around them.

Since the technique could affect anything in contact with the user or somehow connected to their chakra, it could be used to teleport people or objects in contact with the user. However, the size of the object and the desired distance dictated the amount of chakra that needed to be used.

He had been studying it for the past two weeks to perform it correctly, even practicing calligraphy, which he found annoying but necessary to understand the technique.

It was during these moments of study that he wished he had inherited his father's genius to do complicated things faster. However, it wasn't really necessary, as he had his own methods to learn faster.

Now that he had enough knowledge to perform the technique, he would put it to the test to see how good it was. But before doing so, a fleeting memory of his father performing the technique with the Kyubi mode came to his mind.

The idea came to him that if his father could do it in that state, which enhanced his abilities, he could do it on a smaller scale just by applying his partner's chakra.

So with that in mind, he proceeded to take out the kunai that belonged to his father and infused it with his partner's chakra to make it faster.

Mental Space -

Kurama, better known as Kyubi, had made sure since the end of the war six months ago that his friend/companion didn't do anything stupid that put him or himself in danger. And in the months of peace, it had become easier for him to do so.

When Naruto dedicated himself to his training to expand his arsenal and not depend so much on him, he let him be, seeing no danger in that, able to sleep without any interruption due to Naruto's foolishness. In those months, Naruto had matured enough to think before acting.

But his sleep was now interrupted when he felt that apart from his chakra, something else was being taken for something he didn't know. Since Naruto hadn't used his chakra in a while, he checked Naruto's memories to see what he was doing to use his chakra, to see if he had gotten into a fight dangerous enough to resort to his chakra.

Upon quickly viewing Naruto's recent memories of what he was doing, he tried to stop the foolishness his friend/companion was about to do, but it was too late to act.

Outside the Mental Space -

Having enough chakra from his partner to carry out his idea, he didn't wait any longer and threw the kunai infused with his partner's chakra, connecting with it to perform the technique.

He hoped he would simply appear on the other end before the kunai crashed into something, but what greeted him was a gush of himself abruptly, causing him to lose his balance and disappear in a strange flash that no one saw.

And thus, the chapter comes to an end.
