The sun was just beginning to filter through the curtains of Marinette's penthouse, casting soft golden rays that caressed the bed where the young designer lay, still deep in a peaceful sleep. The room, warm and cozy, was decorated with the small details that made that place a reflection of Marinette's heart: vibrantly colored cushions, half-finished design sketches, and of course, the sweet scent of flowers filtering in from the bakery below.
Marinette, still in a state of semi-sleep, felt a warm presence beside her, a soft purr vibrating against her skin. Slowly, she opened her eyes, meeting the serene face of Kagami Tsurugi. The young samurai, with her dark hair messy and her eyes closed in an expression of complete peace, curled up next to Marinette like a house cat, seeking her warmth and protection. She was wearing a cat-eared headband that Marinette had gifted her, a small detail that contrasted with Kagami's normally serious nature, but now made her look incredibly adorable.
"Good morning, my little kitty," Marinette murmured, barely holding back a smile as her fingers gently slid through Kagami's hair, who responded with a soft purr, moving closer to her. Kagami, at her most vulnerable, was completely different than the warrior everyone knew. Here, in the safety of Marinette's home, she allowed herself to simply be Kagami, the girl in love.
"Good morning, Marinette," Kagami replied, her voice hoarse from sleep, her half-open eyes watching Marinette with a devotion she rarely let on. "Did you sleep well?"
"With such adorable company, how could I not?" Marinette replied, smiling as she continued to pet Kagami, who squinted like a pleased cat, enjoying the attention.
Before she could say anything else, a figure jumped out of bed with the overflowing energy of a puppy eager to play. Zoé Lee, her blonde hair falling in messy curls and her dog-eared headband slightly askew, couldn't contain her morning excitement. She launched herself at Marinette, enveloping her in an energetic hug that made her laugh.
"Morning, Mari! Today is going to be a fantastic day, I just know it!" Zoé exclaimed, her eyes shining with contagious joy as she snuggled up next to Marinette, bobbing her head to receive her petting. "Can I have my morning dose of cuddles, please?"
Marinette laughed softly and petted Zoé behind the ears, knowing that was her weak spot. Zoé let out a small moan of pleasure, closing her eyes and resting her head on Marinette's shoulder, like a puppy who just received the best treat in the world.
"How is my little dog this morning?" Marinette asked, her tone loving as she continued to pamper Zoé, who snuggled closer, her imaginary tail wagging in happiness.
"Happy to be with you, Marinette!" Zoé replied, her voice full of enthusiasm. "I'm always happy when I'm with you."
Kagami, at her side, watched Zoé with a slightly annoyed expression, though she couldn't help a small frown at how Zoé enjoyed Marinette's caresses. "Is all this fuss really necessary so early in the morning?" she murmured, half joking, half serious.
"Of course!" Zoé replied, sticking her tongue out playfully. "Besides, we all know that cats like to sleep, but us dogs love to be active from dawn on."
Marinette, amused, caressed Kagami's cheek to soothe her slight irritation. "Don't worry, Kagami. There's enough love to go around."
Kagami nodded, purring softly as she snuggled even closer to Marinette, her eyes closed again as she enjoyed the moment. The calm didn't last long, however, as a third figure moved on the bed, drawing all three's attention.
Lila Rossi, her brown hair falling in waves over her face and a lazy smile, eyes twinkling with mischief, stretched slowly, coming to life with an elegance that contrasted with Zoé's energy and Kagami's calmness. She wore a headband with fox ears, and as always, there was something about her that made her seem like she was always one step ahead of everyone.
"Good morning, Marinette," Lila murmured, her voice soft and seductive as she slowly approached the girl, wrapping an arm around her waist, as if to claim her place at her side. "I hope you haven't forgotten about me." Her eyes twinkled with a glint of possessiveness, and though her tone was light, there was a clear subtext to her words.
Marinette, sensing the slight tension in the air, turned to Lila, gently caressing her cheek. "How could I forget you, Lila? You're always in my thoughts." Her words were enough to calm the slight grimace of jealousy forming on Lila's face, who relaxed in Marinette's arms.
"I knew it," Lila murmured, a triumphant smile appearing on her lips as she snuggled up against Marinette, closing her eyes in contentment. She had always been the most possessive of the three, but Marinette knew how to handle that facet of her personality, balancing love and discipline to keep her girlfriends happy and, more importantly, harmonious.
Breakfast at Marinette's loft was always an adventure. Kagami, Zoé, and Lila had such different personalities that they often clashed, especially when it came to who got more attention from Marinette. However, Marinette had learned to handle those little disputes with grace and, most of all, with a lot of love.
The table was set with a variety of foods that reflected each of their tastes. Fresh croissants, assorted fruits, freshly squeezed juice, and of course, jam and peanut butter. Marinette, who had gone down to the bakery before her girlfriends woke up, made sure that each of them had what they liked best.
"Marinette, could you pass me the jam, please?" Kagami asked, keeping her tone polite and calm as she helped herself to a croissant. Her eyes, however, moved cautiously to Zoé, who was about to take the jar.
Zoé, with a mischievous grin, reached for the jam before Kagami could react and waved it in front of her. "Here you go, Marinette! The best jam for the best girl in the world." Her tone was filled with enthusiasm and a hint of mischief, as she winked at Kagami.
Kagami narrowed her eyes, her feline instincts awakening as she sensed a challenge. "Zoé, you know that cats don't share their food, let alone if it's for their owner."
Zoé laughed, not intimidated in the slightest. "But little dogs are always ready to help, and that's what makes me the favorite."
Before the situation could escalate, Lila, who had been watching with a sly smile, decided to step in. "Girls, girls, there's no need to argue. After all, we all know who Marinette's favorite is." She leaned towards Marinette, her gaze locked with her eyes, filled with a hint of mockery. "Right, Marinette?"
Marinette, seeing how the situation was about to turn into a competition, decided to take control. "Okay, stop it. There's no need to fight over something so small. I love you all equally, and there's no need to compete for my attention."
The three of them looked at each other, feeling a slight tinge of guilt for letting their competitive instincts take over. They knew Marinette was right, but sometimes, their playful and possessive natures just couldn't help themselves.
"I'm sorry, Marinette," Kagami finally said, lowering her head in regret. "I shouldn't have let my competitive side take over."
"I'm sorry too!" Zoé exclaimed, her tone filled with remorse as she approached Marinette. "I promise I won't do it again."
Lila, though more reserved in her apology, walked over to Marinette and hugged her gently. "I didn't mean to make you uncomfortable. Sometimes, I just get carried away."
Marinette, seeing the sincerity in each of their eyes, smiled warmly. "It's okay, girls. We all make mistakes, but the important thing is that we learn from them. Now, why don't we enjoy breakfast together, without fighting?"
The three of them nodded, relieved that Marinette wasn't upset. They sat around the table, sharing breakfast with a new sense of harmony, each enjoying each other's company, and of course, Marinette's.
After breakfast, the four of them huddled in the living room, enjoying a quiet morning together. However, Marinette knew she couldn't let the incident go without a little lesson.
"Girls, I think we need to talk about what happened earlier," Marinette began, her tone soft but firm. "I know you all want my attention, and I appreciate it, I really do. But you can't keep competing with each other like this."
Zoé, always the most impatient, was the first to speak. "I'm sorry, Marinette! It's just that... I love you so much that sometimes I find it hard to share you!"
Kagami nodded, her eyes lowering in guilt. "Same goes for me. I didn't want to cause you any trouble."
Lila, always more reserved in showing her emotions, stayed silent, but her expression showed that she understood what Marinette was saying.
Marinette approached each of them, caressing their cheeks in a gesture of comfort. "I know, and I don't want you to feel bad about it. But part of being in a relationship is learning to share and trust the love we have. There's no need to feel jealous or compete with each other, because I love you all in different ways, but equally intense."
The three girls nodded, understanding the lesson Marinette was teaching them. They knew that, although it wouldn't be easy, they would have to work on controlling their impulses and learn to live together in harmony.
"So, as punishment," Marinette continued, a mischievous smile on her lips, "I'm going to need you to pamper me for the rest of the day, no fighting or arguing. Okay?"
Kagami, Zoé, and Lila exchanged glances, and then, almost in unison, nodded enthusiastically. There was no better punishment than spending the day pampering Marinette, and they were more than willing to comply.
The rest of the morning was spent in a mix of games and cuddles, with each of the girls playfully competing for Marinette's affections, but never letting the competition get serious. Kagami purred softly as Marinette stroked her hair, Zoé moved her head in search of more cuddles, and Lila, though more reserved, couldn't help but smile whenever Marinette petted her.
The peaceful atmosphere was interrupted, however, when the attic door swung open, revealing an excited and energetic Alya Césaire.
"Marinette! I have an amazing idea for the blog!" Alya exclaimed, unaware of the scene she was interrupting.
Kagami, who was curled up on Marinette's lap, shot her eyes open, letting out an instinctive snort that made Alya stop in her tracks. Zoé, who was on the ground, began to growl softly, while Lila, ever the more protective, slowly stood up, crossing her arms and giving a glare that could have made the bravest of people back down.
Alya, who had seen a lot of things, but never a scene like that, blinked in surprise, not knowing if she should laugh or worry. "Uh… am I interrupting something?" she asked, her tone unsure as she took a step back.
Marinette, seeing her friend's discomfort, smiled apologetically, gently pushing her girlfriends away. "Girls, it's okay. Alya just wanted to talk to me. There's no need to be so protective."
Although Kagami, Zoé, and Lila didn't seem entirely convinced, they relaxed a little, albeit each in their own way. Kagami returned to her previous position, though her eyes kept watching Alya warily. Zoé sat on the ground, lowering her head, but still growling softly. Lila, for her part, decided to stay close to Marinette, as if she wanted to make sure Alya didn't get too close.
Alya, sensing that the tension in the room had eased, stepped forward, but still cautiously. "I just... wanted to tell you that I thought of a new blog topic, but I can come back later if you're busy."
Marinette, knowing that she had to find a balance between her girlfriends and her friend, stood up and walked over to Alya, smiling. "Don't worry, Alya. Why don't we talk in the living room? That way we don't interrupt... the girls' nap."
Marinette's three girlfriends all gave each other disapproving glances, but didn't say anything. They knew that, as much as they wanted to, they couldn't keep Marinette all to themselves all the time.
After sorting out the blog thing with Alya, Marinette returned to her room, where she found her girlfriends still in a sort of state of alert. She knew she had to set clear boundaries, but she also wanted to assure them of her love.
"Girls, we've been over this before," Marinette said, crossing her arms and looking at them with a serious expression. "You can't react like that every time someone walks into the room. It's not fair to Alya or me."
Kagami lowered her head, feeling a pang of guilt. She knew Marinette was right, but her protective nature sometimes took over. "I'm sorry, Marinette. I just... care about you."
Zoé lowered her head as well, her usual energy diminished by guilt. "We didn't mean to scare Alya, we just... want to be close to you."
Lila, however, remained silent, though her expression clearly showed she didn't like the reprimand. She knew Marinette was right, but she hated having someone else interfere with her time with her.
Marinette sighed, her expression softening as she walked over to them. "I know, and I appreciate how much you love me. But you have to trust me. There's no one else who makes me as happy as you do, but part of being in a relationship is learning to share and trust."
With those words, Marinette began to caress each of them on their soft spot: Kagami's ears, Zoé's neck, and Lila's waist. She knew this would calm them down and help them remember that even though they shared their love, they each had a special place in her heart.
Kagami purred, leaning into Marinette's hand, allowing all the tension to melt away. Zoé moaned softly, moving her head into the caresses, feeling her heart fill with love and gratitude. Lila, though more reserved, couldn't help but smile, snuggling closer to Marinette as her defenses crumbled.
"I love you all," Marinette said, kissing each of them on the forehead. "But we need to work on this together. Okay?"
The three of them nodded, knowing that Marinette was right and that they needed to work on improving. It wasn't easy to share the love of someone so special, but they knew it was worth it for Marinette.
After a day full of cuddles and love, Marinette realized that even though her girlfriends were trying to control themselves, their protective instincts were still strong. She knew she needed something else to remind them that even though the love they shared was intense, they also needed to learn to relax and trust her.
That afternoon, as the girls huddled around her, Marinette suddenly stood up and walked over to a corner of the room where she had a folded newspaper. She picked it up and, smiling mischievously, rolled it up.
Kagami, Zoé, and Lila watched her with curiosity, but also with a hint of nervousness.
"What are you doing, Mari?" Lila asked, raising an eyebrow.
"Well," Marinette began, approaching with the newspaper in hand, "it seems that some of my lovely girlfriends need a little reminder on how to behave."
Zoé let out a nervous giggle, knowing that Marinette wasn't really mad, but still, the idea of being "punished" seemed funny to her. Kagami, on the other hand, tensed up a bit, though a small smile crept across her lips. Lila, always the most calculating, looked at the newspaper and then at Marinette, trying to guess what she was up to.
Marinette stopped in front of them, the newspaper still rolled up in her hand, and then, in a quick movement, gave Zoé a small tap on the head, who immediately groaned in protest, but with a playful laugh. "Ow! I won't misbehave, I promise!" Zoé said, feigning fear as she curled up on Marinette's lap.
Kagami, observing the scene, let out a small snort, but before she could say anything, Marinette gave her a gentle tap on the nose with the newspaper. "And you too, Miss Cat! No more irrational jealousy."
Kagami, surprised by the action, purred softly and leaned towards Marinette, enjoying the game. "I'll do my best, Marinette."
Finally, Marinette turned to Lila, who was trying to stay serious, but the small smile on her lips gave her away. "And you, you little slut? Have you learned your lesson?" Marinette raised the paper as if to hit her, but Lila, with her usual agility, caught Marinette's hand before she could touch her.
"Maybe, but I might need a little more... persuasion," Lila said in a seductive tone, moving closer to Marinette and giving her a quick kiss on the lips.
Marinette laughed, finally letting go of the paper and hugging Lila tightly. "Okay, okay. I think they've learned their lesson."
The three girls gathered around Marinette, hugging her lovingly. Although the "punishment" had been more of a joke than anything else, each of them knew that Marinette just wanted to make sure they understood the importance of trust and mutual respect.
Marinette, feeling the love and warmth from her girlfriends, sighed in contentment. "Girls, I just want you to know that I love you all, and I don't need you to compete for my attention. No matter what happens, we'll always be a team."
Kagami, Zoé, and Lila all nodded, knowing that although their relationship had its challenges, it was worth it for the love they shared.
The day continued with an atmosphere of peace and renewed love. Kagami, Zoé, and Lila made a conscious effort to be more understanding and share Marinette's love equally. Marinette, for her part, felt more secure in her role as the leader of their little pack, handling the dynamic between them with patience and affection.
That night, the four of them snuggled together in bed, enjoying the quiet and warmth of being together. Kagami settled on Marinette's left side, Zoé on the right, and Lila, always close to Marinette's heart, stayed in the middle, with a hand on her chest, feeling the heartbeat she loved so much.
"You know, Marinette?" Lila whispered, a smile on her lips. "We could do this every day, and I'd never get tired."
Zoé nodded, her head resting on Marinette's shoulder. "Yeah, being with you is the best thing in the world. I don't need anything else."
Kagami, though more reserved, whispered softly, "I'll always be by your side, Marinette. No matter what."
Marinette, feeling a surge of love and gratitude towards the three girls who made her life so special, hugged them tightly. "And I'll always be here for you. No matter what happens, we'll always be a team."
And so, in the quiet of the night, the four girls fell asleep, snuggled together, knowing that although their relationship wasn't always easy, the love they shared made every little challenge worth it.
I dedicate this Oneshot to my friend KagamiPINKAgreste.
