Bowen is a warrior with super speed and the twin brother of Raya in Disney's 2021 animated feature film Raya and the Last Dragon. The son of Chief Benja, he is the prince of Kumandra's Heart Land. In his youth, Raya was appointed the Guardian of the Dragon Gem. When the Gem is broken, a plague known as the Druun is unleashed upon the world, turning much of humanity into stone—including Benja. To save their father, Bowen and Raya embarked on a quest to retrieve the Gem pieces and use its power to vanquish the Druun for good.

Bowen is an 18-year-old Southeast Asian boy a few inches taller than Raya and has a good muscular build like his father, tan skin, short black hair, and dark brown eyes. He wears a green sleeveless shirt that reveals his muscular arms, blue jeans, and black boots.
Personality
Bowen is a determined and persistent young man. He cares about his friends and family, especially his sister Raya and girlfriend Namaari. Bowen is adventurous, lively, fun-loving, and confident. A thrill-seeker who has a passion for enjoying life, he loves running fast and free, which much of his early childhood was spent doing. He shares his father's belief of being Kumandra again. He is determined to reform Kumandra and make the other kingdoms trust each other just like his father. Bowen never gives up as he keeps getting back up, no matter how many hits he takes. He never believed in the word impossible and he doesn't know when to quit like how he was willing to protect the Dragon Gem from Namaari and an entire army of Fang warriors. He's also very nice and looks for the good in everyone. He wouldn't hesitate if anyone needed help. Bowen is happy about going on adventures and is always very enthusiastic about trying new things and ready to see new places. Because he is so adventurous, however, being constrained can often make him impatient and uneasy. While no stranger to worry, Bowen is usually fearless and cool under pressure when pushed against the wall. As such, he is ready to talk back to intimidating warriors and would usually banter with Namaari during their violent encounters. This confidence in the face of danger has given Bowen a mischievous sense of humor, he enjoys toying with his opponents, whether it is by verbally teasing or taunting his foes, or by playing pranks or overwhelming them using his super speed. Possessing a big ego that stems from his positive attitude, Bowen always tries to be positive, even when he does not want to be. However, Bowen's ego is not to be confused with pride or arrogance, as Bowen does not see himself as more important than others. In fact, Bowen is very benevolent and shows a lot of friendliness towards most living things he comes in contact with. Bowen similarly puts others before himself, refusing to put others in danger because of himself, and will risk his life to save innocent people, friends, or even animals. Even when it comes to his enemies, Bowen is willing to rescue them when they face an otherwise unfortunate fate or injury.

Bowen is naturally talented at running and trained his legs beyond the peak of the human condition. Due to his training and natural talent, he can move faster than any warrior in Kumandra, making it very difficult for someone to be able to react to him. Bowen is also immune to the side effects of moving at such speeds. These effects include g-force, inertia, intense heat build-up, massive kinetic energy build-up, and more. He is capable of running at least 100 miles per hour. This makes him fast enough to easily outrun any animal in all five kingdoms including dragons. He can outrun a dragon running on the ground and in the air. He also has enhanced stamina, he's highly resistant to the lactic acid buildup in his muscles, allowing Bowen to be physically more active than peak humans and be able to run 400 miles without breaking a sweat and without getting tired. Bowen is extremely agile, capable of making quick turns when he runs. He is able to run up walls and do mid-air backflips. He is agile enough to dodge most projectiles and physical attacks like punches. He can use his agility to escape from the Druun and make turns on sharp bends or slippery surfaces. Thanks to his natural talent and extensive training, Bowen has incredible reflexes as his reaction speed is ten times faster than the finest Kumandra warriors. He can respond to extremely fast-paced combat and perform amazing physically defensive feats. He can even deflect multiple arrows with his hands by quickly positioning his hands at the side of the arrowheads. He can also use his reflexes to catch multiple arrows fired at him. He can even catch arrows with ease while blindfolded. Bowen can move fast enough to leap high into the air. This allows him to jump higher and farther than normal humans. He can jump at 10-20 feet tall and leap horizontally 25-50 feet long. For example, he is able to jump onto a house, small trees, and over small lakes. He has also trained himself to master his senses, including his hearing. Due to his really great hearing, he could pick up sounds from a mile away. Bowen can use his sense of sound to listen in on his surroundings, easily fight against two opponents with ease, and dodge projectile attacks in the darkness. He can also pick up the sounds of his enemies when in the dark. This allows him to fight what he can't see. Bowen can avoid linear attacks such as arrows and thrown axes by simply quickly positioning himself away from the path of the attack before it is fired. This can allow Bowen to avoid attacks that travel much faster than himself. He is able to run backwards without looking where he's going and without crashing. Bowen has greater skill and experience in swordsmanship through battle, but he mostly prefers using his fists. Bowen can control his movements and muscles more precisely than those at the peak of any Kumandra warrior, making him unable to be clumsy or fumbling. He can slip through a network of ropes, reach through dangerous narrow tunnels, keep perfect balance, or juggle effortlessly without ever tripping or wobbling. He's also a skilled artist as he is able to draw people and objects that are very detailed. Bowen can draw an exact replica of the map of Kumandra. Trained by his father, Bowen is an experienced unarmed fighter having fought against the strongest warriors in Kumandra with his bare hands. Bowen is a skilled martial artist, able to take down Namaari and highly skilled Fang warriors in hand-to-hand combat. Bowen is well known for using his speed, athletic prowess, and a strong force of will to overcome an army of foes as he is capable of fighting large groups of opponents including Spine warriors. He is considered to be Heart's One Man Army.
Weaknesses
Suffering from slight aquaphobia, Bowen is incapable of swimming and sinks in deep water, barely able to keep himself buoyant. Like the Druun, he hates water and is afraid of being near large bodies of water.
After watching Raya and the Last Dragon, I thought about making an OC for my version of that movie. And I thought about making my OC Raya's brother and would eventually become Namaari's boyfriend. As you can see, his personality and powers are based on Sonic the Hedgehog. And his voice actor is the same actor as Shang-Chi in Shang-Chi and the Legend of the Ten Rings (2021).
