Coast City. Home of several known Green Lanterns and one Blue Lantern. The people of that said city are used to the chaos and hero saves against threats by psychotic villains. Basically, nothing new nor completely out of the ordinary.

However, Coast City is about to get some new arrivals in changing that to be the talk of the town. And they're coming in with style.

Above the skies was a double-seated biplane flying by. The pilot and his associate from behind both had leather aviator helmets with goggles on. They both glanced at the city below them to admire it all.

"There it is, my friend! Coast City!" The boy behind the pilot called out.

"I can see that! Looks like we'll be landing soon!" The pilot responded, driving the plane somewhere. "Hold on to your crumpets!"

The boy did a few barrel rolls while looking for a landing spot. Although enjoying the ride with those tricks, the other boy noticed the red arrow on the fuel gauge getting almost done on the left side.

"Uhh... Not to freak you out but we're almost out of fuel." He said. "I think we should land."

The pilot boy noticed the gauge, too. "Yeah, you're right. We need to find some more fuel."

"Over there!" The boy assistant noticed a nearby air field with different types of jets where they can land. "We can put the biplane there for now until we find some fuel." He suggested.

"Good call! Let's hope the people there are okay with it," The pilot stated, turning the wheel to carefully go down to land.

"We can explain our situation." The second boy suggested.

Eventually, the biplane landed all right and did not cause any damage. Once it was safe, the two boys who were on the biplane carefully got out.

"We could, but until we get to that, we should probably look around in case we do run into someone to ask where the fuel is." The first boy added.

"Good idea, dude." The second boy replied, as they boy looked at the open field.

After getting a better look, the following new arrivals revealed themselves to be two teenage boys while taking the helmets off. One had short dirty blonde hair with loose bangs, green eyes, and slight tanned skin. Basically a handsome/attractive face. The other had black colored hair where his bangs were parted and styled with most of it swept to the right side of his face while the rest framed his face on the left side. Along with hazel eyes, noticeable freckles, and somewhat pale skin.

"Excuse me, but who are you boys, and what are you doing here?" A woman asked, walking towards them with a grown man beside her.

"Oh, hello. Sorry for the unexpected parking and landing around your area," The blonde boy responded apologetically. "My name is Harry and this is Evan."

"Since we're doing introductions, I'm ace test pilot Hal Jordan, and this is my boss Carol Ferris. And you just landed on her property. Care to explain why?" The man introduced himself.

"Hey, there. Our fuel was running extremely low than we anticipated where we had to land somewhere fast," The black haired boy named Evan added, after waving hello. "Last thing any of us wanted was cause a panic in Coast City involving an out of control plane crashing down."

"Wait, you're telling me that you two boys rode that biplane all the way here to Coast City?" Hal asked, scratching his head. "How old even are you?"

"Yes. And we're both around sixteen years of age," Harry responded, very calm about it. "So what about it?"

Hal almost felt threatened by that response where he was about to say something dumb until Carol elbowed his arm from offending them.

"I'm just...surprised you can even fly something like that, even at your age," Hal managed to say. "It will probably take years in order to learn, study, and train how to fly one of these things."

"I have a certified pilot license," Evan assured, bringing it up to share with Hal and Carol. "My dad taught me everything about flying a plane. Earned all my hours before earning it to fly on my own."

Carol observed the card where she saw it looked legit. "Very impressive. Seems as though your father may have taught you very well."

"Wow, this younger generation is a lot more adaptable than when I was young." Hal said, as he looked at the card.

"Well, now that we got this cleared up, is there a way you could help us on a few things?" Harry asked politely. "Other than knowing where to get more fuel for the plane, we also would like a map on knowing the best route to our attended destination."

"Destination?" Carol and Hal said in unison, while being confused.

"Where were you two heading to?" Hal asked.

"A place called the Rabbit Café," Harry answered.

"The Rabbit Café?" Hal asked. "Huh, I guess you want to try the best sweets Coast city has to offer, don't you?" He then chuckled on that last statement.

"I suppose we can give you directions," Ferris added.

Evan was looking at the different planes coming in and out of the area with interest. "Um, Harry? Is it okay that we stay for ten minutes? I really want to check out the cool planes."

The blonde boy sighed gently. "I suppose we could. But only if Ms. Ferris is all right with that. Considering this is her area."

"Very well. Both of you can stay here for 10 minutes to check out around here. Hal, go get the extra plane fuel from the storage room." Carol said to Hal.

"Okay. You're the boss," Hal said, as he left.

"Yes! Thank you, Ms. Ferris!" Evan exclaimed happily, before running up to the parked jets.

"Energetic, isn't he?" Carol said, as Hal returned with the fuel.

"He enjoys anything that flies as much as cats," Harry responded, now walking over to meet up with his pal before looking at Hal. "Just out of curiosity, how far is the Rabbit Café from here?"

"Show me the map, first." Hal replied, as Harry then gave him the map so he can see. "It's about 2 miles from here. You just go north and you'll see a big rabbit on the top of the café."

"Just out of my own curiosity, why are you two heading to the Rabbit Café in the first place?" Carol asked.

"Let's just say that I was requested to meet there in hopes of helping the place get more customers," Harry answered, watching his best friend study one of the jets. "When the owner of the place heard about my talents, he immediately called for my presence as special entertainment. As if I'd turn down such a proposal."

"Ooohhhh. So you're basically the entertainment," Hal realized, before nodding his head in agreement. "That's actually a pretty good idea. The Café has not been doing so well recently, so maybe a show will attract some attention."

"You and your lady boss are welcome to come see my performance tonight," Harry offered, bringing out two cards that were invitations. "And if any or both of you cannot make it, then you could always give these to someone who would."

"Wish we could, but we had to go to an important meeting later tonight." Hal said. "And it's too important right now."

"Not a problem. Keep the invitations anyway," Harry said. "I got plenty."

10 minutes later...

"Okay, time's up!" Carol said to Evan, as he explored more of the planes.

Hal had already refilled the biplane with a new batch of fuel. "Okay, she's good to go."

Harry nodded before responding. "Excellent. We can continue our flight and go from there. Thank you."

"So are you going to use the biplane to travel there and have it for an airshow or something with the Rabbit Café?" Hal asked.

"Not necessarily an airshow, no. Evan is the pilot who flies the plane and helps with the transportation where it has nothing to do with my act," Harry clarified, before giving Hal a look. "Why do you ask?"

Hal noticed a weird looking squint in Harry's eyes. "I was curious. Can anyone be?"

Harry continued staring at Hal suspiciously for a few seconds before shrugging it off. "Fair enough. Evan! Time to go!"

"Oh, coming!" Evan said, as he ran towards Harry.

"Be safe, and good luck." Carol said.

"Thank you, Ms. Ferris, we will!" Harry called out, putting his helmet and goggles back on.

"And thank you again for both the fuel and small plane sighting!" Evan added, waving goodbye before starting the plane.

As Carol waved goodbye to the boys when they left, she noticed Hal had a serious expression on his face. "Hal, I know that look... You think there's something suspicious about that Harry boy?"

"No, not really. He has some sort of...shady look when I was asking him about the biplane being used for the show." Hal explained. "It's probably just nothing."

"They're just kids," Carol said. "Even if they were shady... We know someone who would definitely be curious enough to figure it out."

"Yeah, you're right. But still." Hal said, as they both walked into the office building. "I don't know why but that boy seems to be giving me a weird looking vibe."

Back at the biplane while in the sky, Harry couldn't help but think back with his conversation involving Hal.

"Hey, Evan? When we reach to our main destination to land the plane, make sure you up the security on where we lock it," Harry responded.

"All right," Evan said, looking at his pal with a quick glance. "Why?"

"Probably nothing, but I have a weird suspicion that Mr. Jordan may be up to something...or at least hiding something," Harry said, looking down below while lost in thought. "He seemed interested in the biplane being part of the show. I assured him it wasn't."

"You think he might try to steal it?" Evan questioned.

"I don't know. Best to stay vigilant," Harry answered. "Just because we left Gotham City, that doesn't mean we won't deal with vandals and crooks. Especially when we got special cargo with us."

Evan nodded his head in response. If there's one thing he knew, it's to not doubt his best friend's judgement. While this is business on entertainment, Harry and Evan preferred to be prepared for anything.

Hours later...

Located at a house in Coast City, Lea Thompson arrived back from school where she did not look happy. The blonde teen remained silent until going up to her room, throwing her backpack to the side, and fell face first on top of the bed groaning.

"Why me?! Why does the universe hate me!?" Lea asked in distress, her face on the pillow. "Everything I touch or do goes horribly wrong!"

Lately, Lea has been having a bad week. She had another 'delightful' run in with Amanda where she was humiliated in front of the school, her laptop crashed where Lea cannot do her projects for school, accidentally broke a house object where she immediately tried fix it with her dad's help, and almost failed catching a bad guy as Midnight Hope when her Lantern energy ran out of batteries.

Not even her friend/uncle Hal Jordan aka Green Lantern was aware of her situation because he's been busy himself. Lea did not have the heart to tell him how rotten her week has been. She knew how important being Honor Guard is for Hal where she felt that dumping her pity problems to him would make her sound selfish.

"No way am I telling Hal about any of this," Lea sobbed, trying to keep it together while hugging her stuffed snow bunny in a fetal position. "He needs time for himself where I don't want to ruin his week. I should just stay in my room for the whole weekend and not have anything good nor fun."

Just then, there was a knock at her door. And a familiar voice can be heard. "Lea? It's your mom. Open the door, please?" Lea's mom said, waiting for her daughter to do it but nothing. "...Okay, I'm opening the door. I gave you a chance."

The blonde teen kept her back from the opened door. She kept her mouth shut with a deep frown. Along with covering her head with the hoodie.

Lea's Mom walked in, holding a plate of food. "Hey, sweetie. I heard about what happened, so I thought I make you some dinner, just to cheer you up." She said, bringing the plate up. "It's your favorite. Chinese rice with carrots, peas, broccoli, shrimp, and chicken."

"No thanks. I don't feel very hungry," Lea muttered in sadness. "I think I might go to bed early. Maybe go to the library tomorrow and do my assignments there."

This worried Mrs. Thompson. Her daughter never turns down dinner. Especially her favorite dish.

Lea's mom then remembered something, as she took some small papers out of her pocket. "You know, the sun hasn't even set yet. In fact, I have these tickets here that I got from Hal to give to you. There's a show at the Rabbit Café that's happening tonight and Hal was fortunate enough to get you this."

Lea turned her head on that. "Hal got tickets? For a show at the Rabbit Café? Tonight?"

"That's right, Lea." Lea's Mom said. "Hal wanted to come by to give you these but, unfortunately, he's in a meeting with his boss Carol Ferris. So he wanted me to give these to you." She hand over the tickets to the hooded covered Lea. "He said he'll try his best to get to see the show with you if he gets a chance. Meaning he might come late."

While she did like the sound of that, Lea felt as though she did not deserve such a nice surprise. So much where the blonde teen sighed and place the ticket on her bed and returned to being miserable with her back turned.

"Come on, Lea. Don't let your doubt hurt you. There's always a silver lining to the events in your life sometimes. Give it a shot. Maybe, after what's been happening, the show could cheer you up. And it's at your favorite place." Lea's Mom said. "You can't let one bad day ruin your whole life."

"I'll...I'll think about it," Lea said, glancing at the ticket on her bed.

"Okay. I'll place your dinner right here, in case you do get hungry." Lea's Mom put the plate on Lea's desk. "Just don't feel too bad about yourself. Everyone has a bad day but, sometimes, there can always be something that will help them cheer up."

As soon as she saw her mom leave the room, Lea glanced at the tickets to read them a little better before giving some more thought on her decision.

To be continued...
