Chapter 1: The new Smurf
Hey guys / girls / others, I'm back with a new fanfic in a different universe… again. The reason for this is because I wrote some things in the previous timeline that I'm not proud of (if you read them, you know what I mean). What I'm trying to say is that I want a do over on this website, and I intend to fix things with the franchises I have written about here, starting with the one that started my writing career… The Smurfs. Consider this a reboot of my previous stories, it's the same plot, but with a few differences in the events that happened and in some cases the characters are played by a different actor. With that out of the way, I'm smurfing out the usual disclaimer.
Disclaimer: I do not own The Smurfs or its characters, they are owned by Peyo. I only own Hector Smurf because he's my OC. I also do not own the song and lyrics that might be featured in this chapter. If the song is a parody, I don't own the original song or lyrics. Anyways, enjoy.
"This story begins in an enchanted forest," narrated a southern accent. "A place that knows no sadness, and where feeling blue is a happy thing. In a village inhabited by creatures that are three apples tall."
Just then, a little blue creature, wearing white pants with a matching baggy hat, came in pushing a wheelbarrow full of purple berries, and he whistled a familiar tune… and then he tripped.
"That's me. I'm a Smurf, and my name is Clumsy," narrated Clumsy. The little Smurf then walked through an invisible wall, revealing his home: Smurf Village. "This is the village I live in, where there's a Smurf for just about everything. Like Jokey."
"Hey, here's a present for you," said Jokey, as he handed another Smurf a present. Once the present was open, glitter sprayed the smurf. "Ha ha, oh Gullible Smurf, you're so gullible. Actually, I meant to give you this one." He handed Gullible Smurf another present.
"Wow, thanks," said Gullible Smurf, as he opened the present… followed by him getting punched by a boxing glove, causing Jokey to laugh hysterically.
"There's also Hefty," narrated Clumsy, as Hefty was doing push ups.
"98, 99, 100. Now for the one finger push up. One, two, three…" said Hefty.
"Over here is Brainy," said Clumsy.
"Okay, the physics and the potions are ready," said Brainy, as he was doing an experiment. "And… eureka!"
"There's also Handy, Gutsy, Crazy, Vanity, Painter, Magician, Sculptor, Dopey, Karate Smurf, there's even Table-eating Smurf," narrated Clumsy. "If you think all Smurfs are dudes, think again. There's three girls in our village: Smurfette, Vexy, and a smurfling named Sassette. Oh, I almost forgot. There's our leader, Papa Smurf, he runs the village."
Papa Smurf was conducting some experiments in his mushroom house. "But this isn't a story about Papa Smurf," narrated Clumsy. "Or me, or any of the Smurfs that live in our village. This story is about a Smurf who was found in the forest. It all began when Smurfette, Hefty, and the smurflings were picking smurfberries."
As our beloved narrator said, Smurfette and Hefty were with the smurflings picking smurfberries in the forest. "What do you think Brainy's secret invention is?" asked Smurfette.
"I dunno, something nerdy," said Hefty. Snappy then went up to the two Smurfs.
"Hey guys, do you hear something?" said Snappy, who heard a guitar being strummed.
"Now that you mention it, I hear it too," said Hefty.
"Let's go see what it is," said Smurfette, as she led the other Smurfs to the sound of a guitar. Once they found the source of the music, they were shocked.
The source of the sound… was a smurfling around the same age as the others. This smurfling had a crown-shaped smurf hat, a sand-colored shirt, black pants, and sand-colored shoes. The strangest part about him was that he had black hair (it's weird because male Smurfs are usually bald).
After tuning the guitar, he started to sing.
The smurfling: Needless to say, I Smurf her in check
She was very bad, nevertheless
Calling it quits now, baby, I'm a wreck
Crash at my cave, baby, you're a wreck
Smurfing in a bad way, losing your turf
Screaming at my face, baby, don't Smurf
Somesmurf took a big L, don't know how that felt
Smurfing at you sideways, party on tilt
Ooh-ooh-ooh
Some things you just can't refuse
She wanna Smurf me like a cruise
And I ain't tryna lose
Then you're left in the dust
Unless I Smurf by ya
You're the smurf-flower
I think your love would be too much
Or you'll be left in the dust
Unless I Smurf by ya
You're the Smurf-flower
You're the Smurf-flower
Once the mystery smurfling finished singing, the others cheered, which caused him to jump in shock. "Oh sorry, we didn't mean to scare you," said Smurfette, as she walked to Smurfling carefully. "It's okay, we don't mean any harm."
"Who are you? How much did you hear? Did you like it? Answer me!" said the smurfling.
"Well first off, I'm Smurfette. Second, I heard that song you were singing. And third, I thought it was really smurfy," said Smurfette. "Um, what's your name?"
"My name's Hector Smurf," said Hector, as he put away the guitar.
"Nice to meet you, Hector. I'm Hefty," said Hefty, as he shook Hector's hand. "This is Snappy, Slouchy, Nat, and Sassette." The other smurflings walked up to the new Smurf and greeted him.
"Hi," said the four smurflings, in unison.
"Hi," said Hector. "Listen, it's been nice meeting you guys, but I've got to get back to my cave."
"Cave?" asked Sassette.
"Yeah, I've been living in a cave for the past three years, but that's as far as I can remember," said Hector, which caused the Smurfs to gasp in shock. "Don't worry, I've been surviving on smurfberries for the past few years, so it's not all bad. Although it does get kinda lonely." He then had a sad expression on his face.
"Oh you poor thing. You shouldn't be here all alone," said Smurfette. Then she got an idea, and faced the others. "I know, why don't we take him to the village. I'm sure Papa Smurf can help him."
"Smurfaroo, that's a great idea," said Slouchy. They all faced the little smurfling.
"Hey Hector, how would you like to come with us to our village," said Smurfette.
"Really? You're letting go with you to your village after only learning about my existence… sure, I've got nothing better to do," said Hector. "Besides, the wolves I'm staying with are having puppies, so it's a bit crowded in the cave."
"You've been living with wolves?" said Nat.
"Long story, tell ya later. Let's go to the village. Lead the way," said Hector, as the other Smurfs led him to their village.
Once they were all in the village, Smurfette and Hefty took Hector to see Papa Smurf. "Papa Smurf! We found a smurfling in the forest!" said Hefty. He then showed the young smurfling to his elder.
"Greetings, Papa Smurf. I'm Hector Smurf, and for the past three years I've been living alone in the forest with a pack of wolves. These Smurfs offered me the chance to stay here, if it's alright with you," said Hector.
"Of course, you can stay here as long as you want," said Papa Smurf, which made Hector smile.
Later at dinner…
Once all the other Smurfs had gotten acquainted with Hector, it was time for dinner. All the Smurfs asked their new friend some questions, like "Where did you come from?"
"I can't remember."
"How long have you been in the cave?"
"About three years."
"Were you magically created?" That last one stuck out to Hector.
"What do you mean by magically created?" asked Hector, which caused everyone to go silent. "Did I say something wrong?"
The Smurfs were puzzled at his reaction, but they explained to him what they meant. "You see Hector, me, Vexy, and Sassette were created by an evil wizard named Gargamel," explained Smurfette. "But then, Papa cast a special spell that turned us into the Smurfs we were meant to be."
"Wow, that's a lot to take in," said Hector, who was trying his best to process this information. "What about this Gargamel? What happened to him after you became real Smurfs?"
"Ever since then, he's been trying to find our village and use our essence for his evil magic," said Papa Smurf. "Lucky for us, he's not the smartest wizard."
"I see," said Hector, who finally understood why he should stay away from Gargamel. The Smurfs all continued to eat, but Hector was still thinking about what other dangers might be in the world.
Later that night…
Once it was bedtime, all the Smurfs were getting ready to go to bed. Hector, on the other hand, wasn't too tired. Smurfette offered for Hector to sleep in her mushroom house, which he happily accepted.
All through the night, Hector slept like a baby, and so did the rest of the village. One Smurf, however, was not able to sleep. Surprisingly, it was Clumsy.
"I thought he was lost," he said in his head. "What if the others find out?"
He simply didn't think about it, and dozed off. What he was thinking of was any Smurfs question, though it might have something to do with the newest Smurf, or something that happened many years ago.
What could Clumsy be thinking about, nobody knows yet. I think that's enough for now, and I think this turned out pretty good. I hope you enjoyed my little reboot so far, I think it turned out great so far. And don't worry, I have plans for Emily Smurf in the future, you'll see. Until then, see ya later guys/girls/others
