The Training Grounds
In the days that follow Nino immerses himself in the world of superheroes. With Pegasus by his side, they explore the extent of their powers and the responsibilities that come with them in helping Ladybug defeat this new butterfly villian. But Nino feels the call to further hone his skills as Carapace, his superhero alter ego.
The sun dips below the horizon, casting a warm glow over the rooftop training ground Nino has chosen. Clad in his Carapace costume, Nino moves with a newfound grace and purpose. His shield, an extension of the Turtle Miraculous, gleams in the evening light.
Pegasus watches from the sidelines, offering encouragement. "You got this, Nino! Show me what Carapace can do!"
Nino nods, determination etched on his face. He twirls the shield expertly, testing its weight and balance. The rhythmic clashing echoes through the quiet rooftop as he engages in imaginary battles with unseen foes to get better at his combat skills.
But it isn't just physical prowess he seeks to master.
Wayzz's old advice echoes in his mind, guiding him in the art of strategy and patience. "Balance, Nino. A shield is not only for defense but a tool for calculated offense. Anticipate your opponent's moves."
Nino takes a deep breath, absorbing Wayzz's wisdom. He closes his eyes, visualizing the dance of combat, the ebb and flow of a battle. With a swift motion, he lunges forward, shield raised, anticipating an imaginary adversary.
Pegasus watches with awe as Nino showcases a growing mastery of his abilities. "Dude, you're killing it! I can't believe how far you've come."
Nino smiles, a combination of sweat and satisfaction on his face. "Thanks, Max. But there's always room for improvement. I want to be ready for anything."
He doesn't want any of his friends to get hurt during akuma attacks, and his shield alone might not be able to protect them. He knows that each of his friends can take of themselves, but he wants to be sure that he's prepared for anything. Nothing will hurt his friends as long as he's around.
As the night deepens Nino continues his training, pushing himself to the limits. He tests the shield's defensive capabilities against Pegasus's simulated attacks, each clash a step toward unity in their superhero partnership, and a step to him growing stronger, strong enough to take care of his friends from any danger this new butterfly villain might cook up with their akumas.
The training continues into the night, the rooftop becoming a silent witness to the growth of a two new heroes. Pegasus is learning more how to be a good fighter, instead of only relying on his inventions to get him out of sticky situations, or only relying on his Voyage power to defeat his foes and Carapace's shield glows in the moonlight, a symbol of determination, balance, and the unwavering commitment to protect the city they call home.
