Chapter 1: Waking up.
My eyes snapped open.
The first thing I noticed was the ceiling. Wooden beams, aged but sturdy, formed a lattice above me. It wasn't the sterile white plaster I was used to. I blinked, confusion creeping up on me. The scent of pine wafted through the air, mingling with a faint hint of something I couldn't quite place—something rustic. My fingers twitched as I felt the rough texture of a blanket beneath them, and for a moment, I simply lay there, letting my senses absorb the surroundings.
Where the hell am I?
I shot up, my heart racing. This wasn't my bed. Hell, this wasn't even my room. Gone were the plain walls, the soft hum of electronics, and the comforting glow of my PC screen that usually lulled me to sleep after another late-night binge. Instead, I was in what looked like a traditional Japanese-style room—complete with tatami mats and sliding shoji doors.
What. The. Actual. F—
I cut the thought off as my mind jolted back to the last memory I had. The rush of panic, the bright headlights of an oncoming truck, the sharp pain, then… nothing. I remember the gut-wrenching crunch of bone and flesh as I was turned into roadkill. It was like something out of an isekai story, except there was no beautiful goddess offering me a second chance, no magical portal to a world of adventure. Just cold, hard asphalt.
And yet… here I was.
I took a deep breath, forcing myself to stay calm. Panicking wouldn't help. Whatever this was, I needed to get a grip on the situation. I slid out of the futon, noting the small, child-sized body that I now possessed. My heart sank further as I approached a nearby mirror. Staring back at me was the face of a five-year-old boy with messy black hair and piercing blue eyes. Definitely not the face I remembered.
"Okay, let's think this through," I muttered to myself, running a hand through my hair. "New body, new environment, and a very clear memory of getting squished by a truck. Either this is one hell of a dream, or…"
I paused, catching sight of a small notebook on a low wooden table across the room. My curiosity piqued, I walked over, half-expecting it to hold some answers. But as I picked it up, a strange sensation washed over me—a tingling in the back of my mind, like something was trying to push through. Before I could open it, a translucent window popped up in front of my eyes, suspended in the air like something out of a video game.
[GAMER SYSTEM ACTIVATED]

I blinked, then blinked again. The window didn't disappear. My eyes widened as I finally began to process what I was seeing. This was like every RPG I'd ever played, but the stats weren't just numbers—they represented my actual physical and mental capabilities.
"...Is this for real?" I whispered, waving my hand through the window. It followed my gaze but didn't obstruct my vision. I could see through it as if it were a hologram.
Alright, Kenro, breathe. Let's go over this logically. You're in a new body, and apparently, you've got a literal gamer system attached to you. Your stats are… interesting, to say the least. High intelligence and wisdom, which makes sense if I was an adult before this, but everything else is pretty low. Great, I'm a walking brain with the physical prowess of a wet noodle. The window was still there, waiting for me to do something, but for now, I closed it with a thought. To my relief, it vanished instantly. I wasn't sure how this system worked yet, but at least it seemed intuitive.
I sat back on the futon, trying to organize my thoughts. The knowledge from my past life was still there, clear as day. I had no idea of my current body's memori-

Images flashed across my eyes, the short life of Kenro in Konoha witho-
WAIT! KONOHA!
The name struck me like a thunderbolt, bringing with it a flood of knowledge. The village hidden in the leaves, the birthplace of heroes, and the epicenter of most events in this crazy world. I knew what would happen in this world because I had seen it all before, read about it, watched it unfold on screen. This was the world of Naruto.
The memories ended a few seconds later, accompanied by a slight headache, probably for the memories to settle down. But that wasn't the concern. I seem to have been transmigrated into a world full of Justu flinging maniacs, were death was a regular occurrence and child soldiers was the norm.I let out a shaky laugh, the absurdity of the situation almost too much to handle. I had watched countless characters in fiction get sucked into situations like this, but experiencing it firsthand? That was something else entirely.
"Status!" I whispered out

Seeing the two chakra stats should have clued me in on which world i found myself in, but the reality of being transmigrated was too much for me to notice such.
"Of all the places to end up, why did it have to be here?" I groaned out load, whishing for a better situation. A memory of meeting a green-vested man, probably a chunin, came to mind, reminding me of my enrollment in the shinobi academy. tomorrow.
I flopped back down onto the futon, staring up at the wooden ceiling. On one hand, this was insane. I was in a world I only knew from an anime, in a body that wasn't my own, with a system that practically screamed overpowered protagonist. On the other hand, I was a five-year-old in a world filled with people who could obliterate me with a flick of their wrist. And unlike some heroic main character, I had no delusions of grandeur. I wasn't going to charge headlong into danger or pick fights with anyone just because I could.
No, if I was going to survive here, I needed to be smart. I needed to play the long game, use my knowledge, my intelligence, and whatever this system could offer to my advantage. And most importantly, I needed to make sure no one could walk all over me. This world was cruel, but I'd be damned if I let it break me.
"Alright, Kenro," I said, a smirk tugging at my lips as I channeled all the sarcasm I could muster. "Welcome to the world of Naruto. Try not to get yourself killed."
The gamer system flashed back into view at my command, and this time, I was ready. I was going to make sure that when the time came, I'd be more than just another casualty in this world.
