-Current time-
"If that's the case, tell me what your reason for being in my Kingdom is, you useless goddess"
"HEY, I'M NOT A USELESS GODDESS!"
"ANSWER YOU EMPTY HEAD!"
"YES, SORRY! I'm just looking for someone"
"Why would someone like you be looking for someone, what did you do now?"
"why do you assume that I did something"
" taking into account that you are an empty head it does not surprise me that you did something to this person that you are looking for and that surely escaped from you"
"Hmn... so that you know now I did not do anything I was just flying around when suddenly this strange energy appeared and caught my attention"
listening attentively now to what Ishtar was saying Gilgamesh's eyes narrowed slightly at the new information that was being given to him, given that lately there have been attacks on his Kingdom sometimes he could not leave loose ends to any information no matter how minuscule it was even if this information came from someone like Ishtar he could not simply put it aside no matter how empty-headed she was he would take her information as relevant to see if that helped him get out of those enigmas that surrounded his Kingdom now
adding to the fact that his dreams have been too confusing more appeared questions that answered what she wanted given that she did not like to be blank on the subjects that she was relating to her Kingdom, she would be attentive to any dangers that threatened her Kingdom, even if it was the gods that she hated so much, she would kill him if necessary to keep her people safe, she had already lost who she considered her equal because of the tantrum of an annoying goddess, so now she would not lose her Kingdom because of some idiotic gods who thought they were the big thing
even though for her they were only annoyances that she could deal with at another time, for now her priority would be her Kingdom given that as king she had a duty to them, knowing that they had the duty to sacrifice themselves for her, that was something that she had already debated a long time ago, getting rid of the least indispensable so that her people were better, but after a while of thinking about it she came to the conclusion that everyone was indispensable for her Kingdom, no matter what he worked on, it was important for her Kingdom
all that was influenced after the death of his best friend and the only one who could equal him in terms of power, during his journey he returned from the shadows of oblivion, emerging with a presence that could outshine even the brightest of stars. His return is a manifestation of his unwavering determination and his constant quest for knowledge and power
He brings with him a treasure trove of arcane knowledge and magical artifacts that no mortal could even imagine. In his hands, the symbols of royalty become powerful weapons, and his mastery of magic manifests in spells and enchantments that defy the very laws of reality. Every word he speaks resonates like a divine decree, and every gesture is a reminder of his lineage as the King of Heroes
His journey was called The Return of the King is not only a triumphant return, but also a display of his multifaceted character. Although his arrogance and pride are undeniable, he also shows a more compassionate and thoughtful side. The experience of his past adventures and his encounter with exceptional beings have transformed him into a wiser and more understanding ruler
his presence inspiring both admiration and respect, and with it, the promise of unforgettable adventures and challenges that only a hero of his caliber could face. His story, as rich and complex as his own existence leaving an indelible mark on the imagination of all who have the privilege of witnessing his epic
but there were other topics that he would think about later to admire his own greatness now he had things to do like solving the problem of the plague in his Kingdom but that was what had him stopped, he was blank about why all this was happening and the only person who came to mind that could be related to the current events was the only one he declared his equal to someone who did not understand what was the connection of him with what was happening now and why now in his dreams the image of Enkidu appeared
He still remembered when he first encountered Enkidu outside the Temple of Uruk, who immediately declared that he would rebuke the king and rectify his arrogance. They engaged in a battle that spanned several days, with Gilgamesh forced to use all of his strength to match his shape-shifting opponent. He was angry or perhaps shocked that he had for the first time encountered someone who was his equal, insulting Enkidu by telling him that he was a lump of clay. Gilgamesh was forced to extract the treasures he had been carefully storing away, which would mark the first use of the Gate of Babylon as a weapon, and; although it was a reluctant and forced humiliation at first, he eventually began to enjoy it, bringing them out into the open without regrets.
Gilgamesh eventually emptied the vault, with Enkidu only left with a tenth of its clay. Instead of continuing, Gilgamesh fell backwards onto his back as he burst into laughter, with Enkidu mimicking him. He remarked that there would only be one chance to attack for each of them, and that without any means of defense, there would be a pair of mindless corpses. Enkidu could never figure out if that meant it was a tie, or if Gilgamesh wanted to make it so there would only be one corpse.
" "Don't you regret the treasures you've spent?"
"Why? If it's someone I should use them on, then it's not unthinkable to do him the favor."
They became close friends after that, marking the only story of eternally unchanging courage in the entire world. They worked side by side, and then Gilgamesh noticed that his vault had begun to become disorganized after he had begun using his weapons as projectiles, calling it a bad habit. Setting his sights on Humbaba, the guardian of the forest and the beast of the gods, Gilgamesh decided to seek him out and defeat him. Both succeeded with their combined strength, but Enkidu was left confused by the action. Doing so had not been an order from the gods, and it could not have been because his people suffered because of him either.
Gilgamesh said it was part of purging the evils of the world to protect Uruku, but Enkidu could not understand why he cared about those he tyrannized. Gilgamesh explained his way of protecting humanity, causing Enkidu to realize the source of his isolation. Gilgamesh declared that Gilgamesh had taken the path of observation, causing the latter to smile in shame as in his childhood and speak of it. In response to his passion, Enkidu pledged to be a tool for Gilgamesh, but Gilgamesh rebuked him and told him that he was his friend. Enkidu believed that this had been the only time his friend had shown relief.
Until that point, Gilgamesh had lived by his own standards; collecting wealth, fighting with his friend, and purging the land of witches. Enkidu's return to dust and death greatly changed his views. Death had never inspired sorrow or fear until that moment, and had never been on his mind, though he knew he expected it all.
Seeing the one he considered his equal in terms of power perishing before his eyes, Gilgamesh was able to register the true reality of death for the first time. The despair he felt was because he saw death as an escape from his duty as an observer of humanity; to fulfill his mission fully, he must observe humanity's path to its eventual end. Falling into despair, and with his vigor gone, Gilgamesh sought out the Herb of Immortality, a spiritual herb of perpetual youth and eternal life.
Gilgamesh knew of it even before Enkidu's death, having planned to eventually obtain it to complete his collection. With a reason to seek it out, he went to the underworld, Ereshkigal. He sought out the wise Ziusudra, who had lived since he placed a large number of animals in an ark before the coming of a flood that assailed the Earth. He is said to be the only one on Earth to escape death and live to the present. Gilgamesh detested and feared the death that took his friend, which had made him fear for his own life for the first time since his birth. He continued on his journey, which he would later deny as a farce, which lasted the same amount of time he had lived up to that point.
He wandered the desert for decades, as described in the epic, "pathetically dragging himself along" while thinking of nothing but not wanting to die. Gilgamesh had the same motive as all humans, as even a son of the gods was no different when faced with death. With an "idiocy that exceeded that of humans," Gilgamesh continued to try to overcome death, casting aside the king's pride, authority, and power; not knowing the purpose of doing so or having anyone to do so for. His fear of death was one of the reasons for his actions, but he also abhorred death because he could not forgive himself for abandoning his role of observing the future.
Gilgamesh eventually reached the realm of the dead, where he discovered in a meeting with Utnapishtim that his form of immortality was not special. Utnapishtim had gained longevity by joining the ranks of the gods, half-becoming a plant in the process. Gilgamesh rejected such immortality because he wanted to be immortal with the desires of a human still intact, rather than simply live for all eternity in a body without ambitions. Gilgamesh had planned to leave the underworld and return to Uruk to complete his vault, but Utnapishtim, having doubted that his way of existence would be rejected or possibly wanting to condemn someone who had rejected the gods' immortality to the same existence, told Gilgamesh a secret.
It was a method to become an immortal being without seeking the gods' mercy, the root of a herb that grew in the depths. Although he would not consume it himself as it would become a plant, he collected it as a rare treasure to decorate his vault. Stopping within the depths, Gilgamesh shook off the herb and returned to the surface. Unable to put words to his state of mind at the moment, there was a part of him that remained hopeful despite having declared that there was no need for the immortality modeled on the gods. Gilgamesh smiled at his achievement of being back above ground, believing that he could defeat death and avenge his friend.
With the ability to overcome the "death" that had taken even Enkidu, the voices and acclamation of the people of Uruk would have reached an unprecedented level upon his return with immortality. Describing himself as part of the "recklessness of youth," vanity soon followed, and he became annoyed by his ragged appearance which he had spared no thought of until that point. Gilgamesh wished to cleanse himself before returning to Uruk to taste the fruits of his labor in perfect condition, so he rested near a spring to recover from the fatigue accumulated over decades of searching. At that point he experienced a certain feeling which he believed to be his first true feeling of joy.
When the water healed him, Gilgamesh felt the peace of being freed from a malaise that had been lingering in both his body and mind. It was the first time he was so excited about any of his achievements because the act of amassing treasures was only an instinct similar to breathing that brought him no joy. The act of having obtained immortality was the first time he was grateful for having been born into the world because, despite claiming to have the perspective of humans, he believed that he had not been human until that moment. Gilgamesh felt free of everything, without doubts, fears, fixations, or duties. Overwhelmed by the feeling of omnipotence, he describes the feeling as a vital impulse, the reward of his own desire and the belief that he could do whatever he wanted with that joy for all eternity.
It was then that his carelessness caused it to be taken away from him, defeated by desires, by the simple appetite of "hunger" of a snake crawling through the jungle. The snake with an empty stomach was attracted by the scent of the grass, and though Gilgamesh, in a panic, emerged from the spring, it was too late. The snake gained the property of molting, having been the restoration of youth instead of immortality, and only its shed skin remaining. After this, Gilgamesh laughed at the event, the absurdity of the conclusion given all that he could have gained and all that he prided himself on being "nothing." He laughed at his own foolishness until his sides ached.
Though it was not that he could gain nothing, he realized that his only reward was that he would not have a single thing left. The fulfillment in life and joy he first gained instantly vanished, making him realize that this was the nature of the human world. Realizing that immortality was unnecessary to his duty, he had been born as a human at that moment and died as one after learning of joy. Although he had been "complete from birth," he also had his times of inexperience. Taking almost all of his life to complete his development, he reached physical maturity in his time with Enkidu and mental maturity at that time, thus marking the end of his youth
thus beginning the start of a stage in his life as the ruler of Uruk to a his pasts were interrupted when suddenly a throbbing pain began to sound in his head making him have to put a hand on it to calm the pain but this continued to increase to the point that he took it with both hands before the gaze of a surprised Ishtar who tried to approach to see his condition but had to back away when from the back of Gilgamesh the golden circles opened coming out chains that she knew very well having to dodge them when they went in her direction
flying up she let the chains pass which she thought would follow her but they passed her to go to a building not far from where they were destroying the wall causing the dust to rise where when it began to clear a strange energy was felt with a sensation of heaviness
Clearing the dust completely, the person who emanated such a presence was revealed to see the blond that she had been looking for but now he looked quite different as a bubbling aura surrounded him being quite aggressive being in a hunched position hiding his eyes behind his hair revealing behind him a strange figure that she had seen
"What the hell..."
