Yaakov Lubin Thanks! I hope this one is as good as it

Von the Unstoppable yeah he really was a icon, that's for sure. I really do think that comics wouldn't be as popular today if it wasn't for him.

And so, we come to the last chapter of this story

I want to think everyone who has commented ,favorited or followed me or this story. It really does help with my motivation

Chapter 5

By this time Leni and Lilly had joined the other sisters who were sitting at table not far from Kirby and Jack's booth. Piled up around them were bunch of comic books, mostly ones that featured the heroines from the first comics. Each of the girls was reading a comic

"Wow!" said Luan "I'm really liking the Kidder; he maybe be a villain but he's so clever!" In addition to the joke book she had gotten a few comic books that had him as the villain.

"Yeah this stuff really is cool!" said Lana.

"I wonder why Lincoln never told us about these heroines before?" questioned Lucy

There was a brief moment of silence until Luna answered

"Maybe….cause we never gave him an opportunity to?"

This caused the girls to feel slightly guilty. Had…had they misjudged their brother's likes? Where they too dismissive of what he enjoyed? Had they missed out not only all this fun but also a chance to bond with him? Their only brother?

"Well, no more." said Lori "From now on I think we should literally not dismiss the idea of joining when he says he want to go the comic book store or read comics."

"Yeah!" the other sister agreed

Leni, still in cloud 9 over getting asked out by Chazz said

"We totes need to thank him for letting us come with him here!"

The girls would soon get their chance

"Hey girls!" Lincoln cried out "We need your help!" as he and Clyde ran over to them.

"Wait Lincoln! we need to literally thank you first." said Lori

"Yeah bro we had no idea that comics could be so cool!" say Lynn

"I must admit while they are not intellectual stimulating, they are rather fun." said Lisa

"As you can probably see each of us have found a heroines to latch onto." said Lucy

"And none of these would have been possible if you didn't let us come with you here!" said Lana

"Not only that but thanks to you I got a date with Chazz!" said Leni

"I never thoguht I would say this, but I was wrong to dismiss comics as being only for geeks." Said Lola

"Now what did you want to tell us bro?" asked Luna

"I'm really happy to hear all of that but Clyde and I REALLY need your help!" Lincoln said

"You see we are in the final of the trivia contest but our opponents were really good, and now the judges are deciding who deserves to win! We want you guys to come with us and tell them why we should win!" said Clyde

The girls look around unsure while they wanted to help Lincoln and Clyde, what the boys wanted them to do seemed tantamount to cheating or at least getting an unfair advantage something the girls, even Lola, felt was wrong.

"Is….that allowed?" Luna asked

"Yeah I thought there were only two contestants per team max allowed" said Lana

Lincoln groaned "We'll figure something out! Please just help us!"

"But…why is winning this contest such a big deal to you? I mean we know about the movie thing but it's not like you would get a big role?" said Lola

"That's not the point! we NEED to win this!" said Clyde

"Why?" the girls asked in unison

"BECAUSE THAT'S WHY THE TWO OF US ARE HERE" said the boys together in a huff

"I'm confused, I thought you two came here to have fun?" said Leni

Lori turned to the 2nd oldest sisters Leni

"You are a genius!" she said

"She IS?" said the other sisters

"Oh, just follow my lead!" said Lori

Lori then turned to Lincoln and Clyde "I have a question for you did you two have fun in the contest?"

They paused to think, they had enjoyed coming up with answers to the questions and really did like beating that jerk Richard Willams.

"Well…yeah we did." Lincoln answered

The other quickly understood what they needed to do

"Did you connect with other fans?" Luna asked

They had as they remembered getting cheered on by other fans when they were in the contest.

"We….did" admitted Clyde

"So, you had fun and connected to other fans and who told us that that was the point of going to fan conventions in the first place?" Luan finished

"I did," said Lincoln "…But this is different!" he added.

"Why and how?" questioned Lana

"Ummmm…" said Lincoln

"Uhhh you see…" said Clyde

Why WAS this different? Was it only cause THEY were involved? Could they really say that the point of going to conventions didn't apply JUST because of THAT? No…no they could not.

"I…guess it isn't" said Clyde

"Yeah" Lincoln added he thoguht for a few minutes and then said

"Thanks girls…I guess we go so caught on the chance of us winning that we almost forgot this is about have fun."

The girls smiled

"It's ok boys." begin Lola

"Yeah you just go caught up in the excitement of victory and almost let yourself get carried away by the thrill of it." Lynn added

"All of us can understand want do something do anything to win, even something that's stupid especially Lola and Lynn." said Luan.

"Yeah especially….HEY!" the two said.

"You know it's true!" the other sisters said.

The two huffed but conceded the point.

The boys felt better now.

Then came an announcement came over the loud speakers of the convention hall.

"Attention the judges have selected the winners of the Ace Savvy trivia contest is now taking place. Finalists please came to the judge table immediately so we can tell you who it is!"

"Well….that's our que lets go Clyde" Lincoln said.

"Right behind you bro" said Clyde.

They walked away.

"Let's follow them" said Lori.

'But I thoguht we just said that we weren't going to help them win?" Lynn questioned

"We are not going to HELP them win we're going to CHEER if they win or to cheer THEM UP if they don't" Lori answered.

The girls got up and followed the boy to where the contest was taking place, a massive crowd had gathered to see who would win.

When the boys got to the judges' table Stan and Lee were already there.

"Ahh there you are we wonder when you would get here." said Molly

"Ok now that all of our finalists are here we can announce the winners!" said Frederick.

It was so quiet that one could hear a pin drop from miles away.

"The winners are…STAN AND LEE MARVEL" said Henry

The crowd cheered louder than that had ever done before as Stan and Lee screamed out

"WE WON! WE WON! WE WON!"

The girls gave Lincoln and Clyde a sorry look, they both had disappoint all over the faces but soon enough they booth took a deep breath and started to applaud as well

As Stan and Lee got overwhelmed by well-wishers the girls walked up to Lincoln and Clyde

"Sorry you guys didn't win" Leni said

"That ok Leni I mean we had fun" Lincoln said

"And connected with fans" Clyde add

"And that's was the whole point of coming here" they finished in unison.

The girls smiled approvingly at them.

"Hey! We still have some time before mom picks us up what do you saw we find something to eat and see if there's more comic book we want to buy? Said Lori

"Let's do it!" The rest of sisters said at once.

They all start to leave as they did so Luna noticed that Lincoln and Clyde didn't join them

"You two coming?" Luna asked

"You go on ahead Luna we want to congratulate Stan and Lee." Lincoln replied.

Luna smiled and ran off to join her sisters

Stan and Lee where just getting told where and when the film would start shotting when as Lincoln and Clyde approached.

All three judges offered a final congratulations and were off.

"Hey." Lincoln said, "Good job."

"Yeah" Clyde added "We are happy for both of you"

Stan and Lee just stood there not speaking, their faces were ones of total shock

Lincoln and Clyde tried not to get mad, they just wanted to congratulate them if they couldn't accept it that that was THEIR problem.

"That's all we wanted to say" said Lincoln

"Bye." said Clyde.

They start to walk away

Suddenly Stan and Lee shouted,

"Wait! YOU GUYS ARE WHY WE ARE HERE!"

This caused Lincoln and Clyde to stop walking and turn around, their faces full of confusion.

"What do you mean?" asked Lincoln

Stan look at him

"You're Lincoln Loud right?

Lincoln nodded

Lee looked at Clyde

"And you're Clyde McBride right?"

Stan took a deep breath and then said

" We mean that it was YOUR guy's comic that lead us to Ace Savvy, well tell you most of what we told the judge but, the two of us have had a hard life."

Lee nodded "You see our parents kept fighting with each other, they fought over the stupidest littlest things!"

Stand with somber expression said, "And one day…..they got a divorce."

Lincoln and Clyde both look sorry for Stan and Lee

Then Lee smiled "On the day it happed dad took us to a comic book shop to take out minds off it."

"We looked but nothing really caught our eyes…until we saw the fan comic you guys made" Stan continued

"We started to read and….this is going to sound so dorky but…we just fell in love with Ace Savvy." Lee added

"Soon we had read every comic of his that we got our hands on!" Stan said

Lee said, "It took us away from the memory and pain of the divorce and it helped us to heal and accept that it happened."

"and from then on whenever we felt down or sad we would just read an Ace Savvy comic and it made us feel a lot better." Stan said

"As soon as we heard about this convention we HAD to come, this is our very first one you see." said Lee

"We are honored of course that we won the contest but….it's an even bigger honor to meet you guys." Stan said

"Hey, can we please get you autographs?!" the pair said

To say that Lincoln and Clyde were completely blown away would be a massive understatement. THEY where why Stan and Lee had even gotten into Ace which had helped them through one of the toughest things a kid can go through? and by extension THEY were why those two would be living the dream of every fan?! It was overwhelming!

Lincoln and Clyde shook their heads to clear their thoughts.

"WE are the ones who are honored." said Lincoln

"Yeah we are so touched that you like ace because of…us." Clyde said with his voice almost breaking.

The two gave Stan and Lee their autographs, then Lincoln then got a sly look on his face

"You know" he said "The girls we based those characters on are my sisters, and guess what? They are here with us at this convention! Would…you liked to meet them?

Stan and Lee stood completely flabbergasted for a bit then pinched each other to ensure they were not dream, when they both said

"Ow." confirming that they were not they both shouted in unison "WE'D LOVE TO!" they then took off running down the convention floor.

As they took off Lincoln and Clyde looked at each other.

"Can you believe what they told us Lincoln?" Clyde said with amazement in his voice

"Yeah you know we may not have won the contest but I would say helping them live every fan's dream is REALLY good consolation prize " said Lincoln

Clyde laughed "Yeah"

The two then took off after Stan and Lee

"Hey wait up guys!" Clyde shouted,

"Yeah, you need us to point them out for you!" Lincoln said.

When the four did find the sisters Stan and Lee were ecstatic, even more so when they were able to get picture with ALL of them as well as Lincoln and Clyde.

All in all, it was a convention that none of the girls or Lincoln and Clyde would soon forget. Leni's date with Chazz went well and thought they didn't' stay together they were happy they tried. While the girls never become massive comic book fans like Lincoln and Clyde were they did become a lot less judgy and dismissive then they had been on the subject, even joining him on reading sections and trips to the comic book store.

As for Lincoln and Clyde they had the best experience of all, they knew that they made an impact on fans lives, something that gave the more pride and joy then being in the movie ever could. This was true even when the movie came out and to their joyful surprise they got a small credit as "influencers." While both would go on to other conventions it would be this one that would hold a special place in their hearts. For it was at this one where they first learned the joy of being part of something larger than oneself.

Author's notes

As stated in the first chapter, one of my purposes in writing this was that I was highly dissatisfied with "kings of the con" I certainly accept that Lincoln and Clyde don't deserve to win, they did wrong and were selfish (just because you are fans of something does NOT mean you deserve to be in a movie based off that thing) That being said however the girls just might be worse as they don't even have the excuse (however dubious) of even being fans of "Ace". The judges ignoring the boys, no matter what they did was a stupid idea and understandably upsets fans who feel they being unfairly treated. Perhaps all of this would have gone over better had it ended with Lincoln and Clyde just not being in the movie, it still probably would have been disliked by many fans but it would have worked. However, them being in the movie ONLY because they are the Kitty's pooper scoopers was unnecessity and just rubs salt in the wound.

I wanted Lincoln and Clyde to lose but I wanted to give them a victory as well, them being the ones who got Stan and Lee into Ace(thus fulling the role of being the ones who helped find something that bring them joy) seemed a good way to give them that. In addition, Lincoln and Clyde can be proud that they introduce people to something they loved and made them fans of it. Think about anything (a tv show a movie, game etc. etc.) you like and if you have introduced it to another and know that they love it too.

So anyway, that's a wrap for my first ever fanfic (I know there are other fics in my account but this was the first one I wrote)Thanks for reading and once again leave your thoughts down below!

I might wrote another "how it should have gone" again; I have an idea for the episode "Don't You Fore-get About Me" too but I don't think it will be as long as this one though.

This story is also posted on my Wattpad account(set up link in profile) but it's an older version until I update/ replace it

Tell me what you think!

Till next time!
