Auran was frozen in place. She had solved one impossible problem when she managed to stitch Jayde's chest closed. But now she was stuck with an even worse problem she didn't fully know how to manage.

With a frustrated groan, she reached up and rubbed her face. She glanced at the jadette before looking over at the injured Huntress and her friend. She then looked down at the redhead standing by her.

Kris had tears in her eyes. There was an uneasy feeling in her stomach when fighting Grimm. The fear of death, the fear of someone else being hurt or dying at the hands of the same Grimm if she failed. It was scary being a Huntress. And she always had to keep that feeling in check so more Grimm wouldn't be drawn to her.

But this was different.

Kagami had been in multiple close calls but this was different.

Kagami was dying.

Kris was scared.

She didn't want to lose her friend.

Taking a deep breath, Auran closed her eyes. She then turned around and exhaled at the same time. "Okay. This is what we're going to do." She stepped around the couch and quickly began to remove Kagami's bracer and sword. "Manis."

"Whatcha need?" Her girlfriend stood up straight.

"Call Professor Theodore. Ask him if he has any Huntsmen medics there that have O negative blood." She slipped off Kagami's belt and tossed it aside. She then went to untie her boots and pull them off her. "Where does your friend's parents live? O negative blood is usually hereditary." She eyed Kris.

"Vytal..." The short redhead trailed off with a small sound.

Auran sighed as she pulled off Kagami's socks. She then grabbed the waistband of her jeans and pulled them off without any hesitation. "Manis, if Theordore doesn't have any, call the Huntsman Guild here. If he doesn't I doubt they will though." Grabbing every pillow in the living room, she used them to elevate Kagami's legs.

"What... what if you can't find any blood for her?" Kris softly asked. She then swallowed hard. "Why can't you just use mine? You can take all you need from me and give it to her."

"I'm sorry, but that's not how this works." She carefully lifted Kagami's torso up and pulled her cloak off. "I can check, but I doubt you two are the same blood type." She placed her hands over her chest before draping her cloak over her. She stared down at her for a moment. Kagami didn't just pass out, she had fallen into a coma.

"Well, Theo isn't answering." Manis stepped through the kitchen and waved her scroll. "I'm guessing he's busy with whatever it is he does with his students."

"That's great." Auran exhaled before moving to slip Kagami's hair tie out and let her hair fall loose and freely.

"Can't you just call the hospital or something?" Kris held out her arms. "Can't they just come here and help?"

She glanced at her before quickly averting her gaze.

"They won't." Kasune spoke up. "Auran... doesn't care who you are. You could be a human or Faunus, a Huntsman who saved Vacuo from an invasion but lost his leg in the process or a terrorist who's killed dozens that has just broken out of prison and was hurt in the process. She will treat you regardless."

"And they despise me for it." Auran took a very slow and deep breath. "Imagine being the best of the best... and they all hate you for it because you treat everyone the same. All life is precious. They don't understand that. All life needs to be protected."

"Not to mention she does it all for free." Jayde added. "She's never asked anyone for lien."

"Which means people are constantly knocking on the door at every hour of the day asking for her help." Manis narrowed her eyes across the room while on her scroll with the Huntsman Guild. "And she never refuses them."

Auran went quiet for a second before shaking her head. "It doesn't matter though. Right now we need to help your friend." She took a few steps away before heading towards another room. "I'll see if giving her any fluids will help. I don't know how much it will..."

Kaito yawned and stretched out his arms as he walked by the now fixed hole in the wall. "There, are you happy now?" He asked while making his way to the couch. Outside, a hover bike's engine roared.

"I'd be happier if you didn't solve every problem by punching it." Pithaya teased while laying back across the couch. The night was cool and relaxing. She was in a silky pink nightgown.

"You know you love that side of me." He chuckled while slowly sitting down by her. "You wouldn't keep me around if you didn't."

She rolled her eyes as she sat up. "I guess you're right." She wrapped her arms around his large bicep and smiled. "It's still incredibly annoying."

"I don't mean to be." He flashed a toothy smile before eyeing the fixed wall. "How do you think they're doing-"

"Sh, sh, shh." She placed a finger against his lips and shook her head. "Don't think about them. It's just you and me right now. You and me."

He blinked a few times before grinning. Before anything else could be said, a purple mist caught the corner of his eye. He raised an eyebrow and glanced over just as his other bicep was grabbed.

Pithaya's eyes widened as Melony teleported into their living room. In a blink of an eye, she teleported away with Kaito. She sat silently for a few seconds before suddenly baring her teeth and letting out a low growl. "Kaito!!" She shouted.

"What gives!?" Kaito snapped as he was thrown onto a hover bike that took off a second later.

Melony glanced over her shoulder and glared at him. She then looked away and narrowed her eyes as she quickly made her way through the maze of a Kingdom. "Your cousin is dying."

"Kagami?" He pushed himself up while managing to get comfortable in the seat. "Why didn't you get Pithaya then?"

"She doesn't need to be healed." She hissed back at him. "She needs your stupid magic blood."

"Uh..." He blinked. "My eyes are magic, not my blood." Kaito corrected her.

Melony sharply inhaled before quickly taking a corner around a building. She was not in the mood.

As they made it back across Vacuo, an older man waved his arm as they passed. "Hey! Give me back my bike, you bitch!!" He stumbled into the dirt road while waving his fist in the air.

"I told you I'd give it back in a bit, asshole!" She snapped back at him with a snarl.

"Her blood pressure isn't dropping anymore but it's not getting better." Auran said as she pulled away from Kagami.

"Is that good or bad?" Kris asked with a yawn. She was sitting on the floor and leaning up against the couch.

"It's whatever you want it to be." She exhaled back.

Manis was in the kitchen and was preparing medical equipment to be cleaned and sterilized. Things weren't looking good. Not that her girlfriend would lose hope. She knew Auran would try her hardest and not give up until the very end. She was great at miracles. Manis glanced at Jayde who was sleeping finally. But Auran wasn't a god.

"Melony?" Kasune suddenly broke the silence of the house.

Manis blinked and glanced over her shoulder.

A purple mist faded off the Huntress in purple's shoulders. She glanced around with a scowl before shoving Kaito into the living room. "Magic blood." She locked eyes with Auran.

The medic raised an eyebrow before quickly glancing between Kagami and Kaito. Their hair. Their eyes. In an instant, she was beside Kaito and pricked his arm.

"Ow! Hey!" He pulled away from her as she pulled out her scroll. He then eyed Kagami. "Can someone tell me what's going on?"

"O negative..." Auran breathed out.

"What?" Kris shot to her feet. She honestly had forgotten about Kaito with everything that was going on. "Wait, does that mean..."

"Manis!" Auran raised her voice while grabbing Kaito's wrist.

"On it!" The armadillo Faunus replied before quickly sprinting into another room.

"Hold up! What's going on?" Kaito stumbled as he was forced to sit down on a recliner.

"Kagami needs a blood transfusion." Auran answered before blinking and taking a small step back. "You are her family, aren't you?"

"Well, yes." He nodded slowly. "I'm her cousin, Kaito."

"Then may I take some of your blood and give it to her?" She moved her hands behind her back.

"He doesn't get a choice!" Kris snapped while placing her hands on the arm of the recliner. "He's doing it if I have to knock him out!"

Glancing over at the unconscious jadette, Kaito flexed his shoulders and leaned forward. "How much do you need?" His eyes narrowed.

In the kitchen, Kasune blinked a few times as her sister walked in and opened the fridge. She then smiled softly. "So you do care about them?"

Melony stiffened. She sharply exhaled before grabbing an open bottle that was unlabeled. It obviously belonged to Manis. "I hate them." She replied while opening the alcoholic drink.

Her sister tiredly laughed back. "Yeah. Me too." She muttered while tightly gripping Jayde's hand. "Me too."

A few hours later, Kaito was sleeping in the recliner. He had an IV in him that was giving him some fluids. His breathing was a little heavier than usual and his blood pressure was slightly low but other than that he was fine. He actually had wanted to give more of his blood to Kagami but Auran wouldn't let him.

Said medic was checking Kagami's vitals again. She had been checking them over and over throughout the entire night. The jadette was doing better and her body was accepting the new blood but she was still unconscious and not responding to anything.

There wasn't much else to do and she hated it.

"Auran..." Manis walked over.

"I'm fine." She quickly replied while stepping away.

"You need to sleep."

"I'll sleep when everyone else is fine."

Taking a deep breath, Manis closed the distance between them and gently wrapped her arms around her. "Auran. I need you to sleep. Please."

She stood still for a moment before slowly lowering her head onto her girlfriend's shoulder. "I need to watch their vitals. Especially Kagami's. Her body could reject the transfusion at any moment and I need to make sure-"

"I can watch her." Manis moved her hand up and through Auran's orange hair. "Please, lay down. Just lay down."

"But-"

"Auran." She held onto her a little tighter. "Please. I will watch over everyone. I promise."

The medic slipped away with a small exhale. She glanced down at Kris who was sitting against the couch sound asleep and then over at Melony and Kasune sleeping on the kitchen floor beside the table Jayde was sleeping on.

"Auran." Manis moved closer again.

"Fine." She reached up and held onto her arm with a firm grip. "If either of the three of them wake up-"

"I'll come get you." She nodded. "If anything happens, I will come get you. Just please go lay down."

Auran swallowed hard before closing her eyes and nodding. "Okay. Alright." She eyed her with a small smile. "Goodnight."

"It's morning now." The armadillo Faunus teased with a smile back.

She rolled her eyes and waved her off as she made her way to her bedroom. "Whatever. Good morning then."

Manis softly chuckled and crossed her arms as she went around the house to turn off all the lights. "Good morning."

Manis watched the sunrise as she kept watch of Jayde and Kaito and more specifically Kagami. Nothing changed much and the others were all exhausted and tired. No one was waking up anytime soon. The silence was peaceful. It was never peaceful like this.

That's when Manis heard a knock on the door. She deadpanned.

Taking a deep breath, she got up and went to the door. "I swear if you wake up Auran..." She growled while opening the door.

"Nice to see you too." Krimson winked and stepped inside.

"Um, hello." Cheyenne politely nodded while following.

"At least stay quiet." Manis eyed them coldly while shutting the door. She then eyed Elise who was asleep from exhaustion. "We're out of places to sleep. All I can do is get you blankets and pillows."

"That'll do." Krimson kept her voice quiet as she carefully set Elise down on the floor. "It's better than nothing." She then slipped off the weapons she was carrying and put them down. She then eyed Kagami.

"How is she?" Cheyenne asked while stepping over towards the couch and sitting down on the floor by Kris.

"Alive." Manis crossed her arms.

"That's... good..." She trailed off before slowly leaning over onto the redhead's shoulder and falling asleep.

"Hmph." The armadillo Faunus rolled her eyes and looked over at Krimson. The Huntress in red didn't even bother getting comfortable. She simply laid flat on her chest and passed out on the floor. "I'll go get all of you a blanket then." She chuckled with a shake of her head.
