Chapter 2
Okay, folks. Great response to chapter 1. So let's get moving with chapter 2. But first, on to the reviews.
Chi Vayne: I hope to do a good job with that.
flyboy38: Sort of. It's still a highly rare occurrence for Earth and the SW galaxy to interact even in the Wizard World.
Rogosh: It's more just an envy between friends.
starboy454, Jame Birdsong, Justrandomread, DragonEmperor999, Jostanos, and bruggles056: I'm glad you're all enjoying so far.
Let's kick it up!
As the Lightseeker traveled through the lanes of Hyperspace, Harry was reading over a data pad with instructions given to him by Yoda on how to conduct himself. Fist and foremost was that the people of Earth were not aware of life outside their own planet. So it was best to avoid mention of such outside of the inner circle of the school he was going to. Furthermore, he was not to keep his lightsaber in clear view and was to avoid use of his weapon outside of isolated training unless he was unable to view a way out of a situation.
"Bweep bwoop viip?" Ids asked while floating over Harry's shoulder.
"Don't worry, pal. Thankfully, the section of Earth we're going to is apparently known to the locals for being extremely cold and you're small enough to hide between the layers of my clothes." Harry explained to his droid before getting up to put on a set of clothes he wore on undercover missions consisting of a pair of beige pants, black boots, a dark grey shirt, and a brown bomber jacket which had a clip on the interior to conceal his lightsaber within. Harry then lifted his jacket slightly to allow Ids to latch on to the back of his belt as he went to the nav computer to take the Lightseeker out of hyperspace.
Following Yoda's instructions Harry piloted his ship to a series of seaside cliffs with many stone archways to keep it hidden from prying eyes. He then gathered his effects and exited the ship to be met by Professor McGonagall, said woman's face instantly brightening upon seeing the young Jedi.
"Harry. It is wonderful to see you again." The elderly woman said in a worm tone. "I am Professor Minerva McGonnagall, deputy headmistress of Hogwarts." She introduced herself.
"Yes. My report told me you were there on the night Master Yoda came to take me to the temple." Harry noted.
"Yes I was. I'm very relieved to see that you have been in good health all of this time." Professor Mcgonnagall said, dreading what might have happened if Harry had been subject to where he was initially supposed to be sent.
"I am grateful to the order for everything they've given me." Harry stated with a smile.
"That aside, it is good to have you back on Earth. Even if only for a short time." Minerva said before putting her elbow. "Now then, take my arm." She instructed, gaining a raised eye brow form the young Jedi before he complied before in the blink of an eye.
"Woah." Harry managed to get out, stumbling a slight bit from the reappearance. "What was that?" He asked.
"Apparation. You will be able to learn that in your sixth year." McGonagall explained before signaling Harry to follow her.
'A skill that will certainly help me on missions.' Harry thought as he followed Minerva out of the ally that they had appeared in and in to a building that had a sign that only those with magic could see which read 'The Leaky Cauldron.' Once inside, they were quickly met by Hagrid walking up to meat them.
"Professor! Good afternoon to you." Hagrid said with a smile before looking down to where Harry. "Harry. You certainly sprouted up." He said, instantly making most of the room look over to Harry.
Harry had been told by Yoda that he would have some amount of fame while among the wizards and witches of Earth. However, the Grand Master had elected to let a native of the word inform him of exactly why. With all the eyes he could sense on him, it was clear what ever the fame was about, it had to be important.
"Hagrid. I must return to Hogwarts to finish checking over the lesson plans of the other professors. I would like you to aid Harry in getting his school supplies?" Minerva asked, getting a nod in response.
"Of course. Have a good day, Professor." Hagrid said before shaking her hand, Harry taking notice of a palm handing maneuver a master of one of his friends had trained him to spot. Minerva and Hagrid then separated before the former Disappartated out of the area. "Now then. I guess we should be off to get you your school supplies." He said before he motioned for Harry to follow him to the back door of the building.
Upon exiting the back of the Leaky Cauldron Hagrid pulled out an umbrella which he then tapped on the wall several times before the bricks of the walls began to shift and slide before revealing a colorful street with many strangely constructed buildings.
"Hm. From this list I was given, it would appear that I need tomes, a cauldron, some starter potion ingredients, and a wand." Harry listed off.
"Before that, you'll be needing to get some money to buy all of that." Hagrid said before gesturing to a large building at the end of the street. The two of them then walked to and entered the building where Harry saw a large amount of humanoid creature barely taller than Master Yoda with quite angular features and sharp teeth.
"Goblins." Hagrid said, identifying the creatures for Harry. "Clever as they come. Not the friendliest sort for the most part." He said as they continued to walk.
'I sense a great deal of pride in their community from them.' Harry thought before Hagrid brought him to a large desk in the middle of the room.
"Mr Hagrid. Have you forgot something?" The goblin at the desk asked.
"No Griphook. Young Mr Harry Potter will be needing access to his funds." Hagrid explained to the goblin.
"I see. And does Mr Harry Potter have his key?" Griphook asked before Hagrid patted several pockets along his coat before he pulled out a small golden key before handing it over to Griphook. "Very well, then." He said before signaling for another goblin to take over at the desk. "Follow me." He said before he began walking with the other two close behind him.
Harry and Hagrid were quickly led out a small cart on a rail mounted cart which the three quickly got on to before the cart began moving with seemingly no cause. After a few minutes of travel, the three arrived at a vault door with the number 687 placed on it.
"Here you are, Mr Potter." Griphook said before opening the vault door to reveal a room with a massive amount of gold coins.
'Impressive.' Harry noted.
"You didn't think your mom and dad left you with nothing. Now, did you?" Hagrid asked before the two of them entered. Harry then grabbed just enough of the coins to get his school supplies as well a small amount of emergency money before he and the others left the vault.
After leaving the bank, Harry was quick and efficient at getting all the supplies he needed, having no need for the more opulent versions of them as the basic equipment would serve him just fine.
"I still a wand." Harry said while looking over the checklist of the needed and optional items for Hogwarts.
"A wand? Well then you'll want Olivander's. Best wands one can get." Hagrid said, pointing said shop out to the young Jedi before something else caught his eye. "Go get your wand. I'll meet you back at the Leaky Cauldron." He said before splitting off from Harry.
Harry then walked in to the small building lined with countless rectangular boxes, feeling quite the sense of deja vu as he did.
"Well. I wondered when you would be walked in to my store, Mr Potter." The owner of the shop, Mr Olivander said upon exiting the back room.
"I'm hear to pick out a wand." Harry said Olivander shaking his head.
"Well, that's not entire true. You Mr Potter. A wizard does not choose their wand. In fact it fact it is quite the opposite. The wand is the one who chooses." Oilvander explained, his mannerisms and explanation, making Harry think back to the saber hidden within his jacket.
(Flashback)
Several years earlier, Harry along with his youngling clan, the Convor Clan consisting of himself, Barris, the Mon Calamari Nahdar Vebb, fellow human Bultar Swan, and Lissarkh, the exceedingly rare Tradoshan in the Jedi order on the planet of Ilum, a sacred world to the Jedi along with newcomer Anakin Skywalker.
The six prospective Jedi stood in a massive room with Yoda and Obi Wan standing before them as the former gave the children a speech not dissimiler to the one Harry wold receive from the wand carver years from that point.
"A Jedi's truest companion, the lightsaber is and at the heart of the lightsaber the Kyber Crystal is. In to the caves you must go to find yours. But aware you must be, that any crystal do will not, call to you your crystal must." Yoda said before he raised up his hand and called out to the Force to lower a giant crystal from the ceiling of the room which then allowed a massive beam of sunlight to enter go through it, melting the ice wall behind the grand master, signaling for the children to enter the cave.
Shortly after entering the caveman the six you'd be Jedi split up in order to let the Force guide each of them to their crystals. This eventually led Harry to walk thought the caverns, feeling out for any sign of what he was looking for before he walked passed a whole where he could hear a faint singing coming from the bottom.
Quickly but cautiously Harry began climbing down in to the hole before he eventually got down to a narrow pathway where at the end of which he saw a glow, clearly the source of the singing he had heard. Harry then began moving towards the light only to be stopped at the sound of hissing. He then stepped back slightly as massive pale snake red eyes crawled up on to the bridge.
Harry reached reached out his hand in attempt to connect with the creature with the Force only for it to snap forward to attack him, forcing him back even further. Harry was always the last person to go looking for a fight.
'Tested by your crystal you will be.' Yoda's words spoke in Harry's mind and that when it clicked in to place for him. Harry was never one for battle, preferring instead to talk or think his way out of a situation. A fact that many of his instructors on several occasions at pointed out to him as a partial flaw. A Jedi should never seek battle. But they should always be ready and decisive when it came for them.
His resolved strengthened, Harry reached out his hand to a nearby wall and pulled a stone with the Force from it before using it to slam the serpent in the face as it tried to strike at him. After catching the creature off balance, Harry leaped up and over it, before using the Force to push hard in to the bridge causing the side the serpent was on to collapse and fall in to the void below.
With his foe defeated Harry let out a few panting breaths before he turned to a end of the still standing half of the bridge where a small stone pedestal stood and on it, a crystal. The very crystal that had been calling to him. He then took a breath before he took the Kyber Crystal in to his hand before proceeding to make his way back to the entrance of the cave.
(End Flashback)
"Let's which one would work." Olivander asked, breaking Harry out of his thoughts of the past. He then looked up to see the wand seller pulling out and looking over several boxes. Just then, Harry felt a slightly familiar pull at his spirit.
"Respectfully, sir. What about that one?" Harry asked gesturing to one of the boxes near the back of the shop.
"That one?" Olivander asked before adopting a curious look on his face. He then moved his ladder over to where the wand was and pulled it out before bringing over to Harry. "Eleven inches. Holly. Phoenix feather." He explained before the young Jedi took the wand in his hand its core resonating with him and causing a bright glow to appear, promoting Olivander to utter the word "Curious."
"What is?" Harry asked in response.
"As I told you, Mr Potter. The wand chooses the wizard. What is curious is that your wand is a bit unique." Olivander said, Harry's focus going to the object in his hand. "The phoenix which gave the feather housed in your wand gave only one other. It it curious that this wand would choose you when it was it's bother... that gave you that scar." He said.
Harry looked up at the wand seller before looking back at his wand. In that moment, he needed to start asking a few questions.
Well there you go, guys. I hope you enjoyed this chapter. Next time, Harry learns of an old foe, before meeting some new friends. Until then and always... Keep on keeping on.
