The magic digidestin chapter 2 another new world part 2
It seemed both sets of parents were having the same conversation back outside with Hermione and Mrs. Granger, "We have known for a while you have liked him. From your letters, and the way you talk about him when you're at home. Yes, you also speak of Ron, but the way you speak of Harry" Says Mrs. Granger looking at her daughter with knowing eyes.
Hermione looks at her mother with wide eyes, unaware she had been so transparent with the way she talked about Harry. If it was so obvious did Harry know? Is that why he never said anything? Because she was right he only saw her as a sister? "Oh is it that obvious? I haven't even told Harry, or anyone for that matter," she asked her mother not really wanting the answer.
Her mother gave her a knowing smile, "Of course it is and the way your father took Harry in to talk it seems he feels the same way about you. We just want you to be happy darling. And, didn't you say Gryffindors are known for being brave?" her mother asks with a smile.
Hermione rolled her eyes at her mother, "Yes mother Gryffindors are known for being brave, but me and Harry aren't Gryffindors. We were Ravenclaw, and Ravenclaws were known for being smart." Hermione said. Not realizing she had just walked into a trap. Her mother just laughed at her, and Hermione's eyes went wide as a blush erupted her cheeks.
Inside her father and Harry was having a similar conversation. "Is it that obvious to everyone I like Hermione? I came here to tell her today. But, I don't think she would like me back as you said. Though she did ask me to stay with her in the forest of dean during the war. There are times I wish I would have said screw the wizarding world. She has never asked me for anything, and she has always been by my side. But, yet I denied her because I felt like it was my destiny to help the wizarding world." Harry says to Mr. Granger with a sigh.
After the war, Hermione admitted what she had done to her parents, and to make up for not giving in to her wishes to stay in the forest of Dean Harry accompanied her to Australia to find her parents, and restore her memory. They had asked Ron to join them but had agreed that he needed to be with his family. And, so when they were found and explained why they had been angry, but understood why Hermione had done what she had to her parents. Mr. Granger smiled at Harry, "I just want my little girl to be happy, and I have seen she is happy with you. In the beginning, I thought it would be with that Ron fellow thought he was pulling her pigtails a muggle term that he liked her, but I can see now and when you came with her to find us. You are the better man for my daughter, and I would be proud to call you my son-in-law someday." he said to Harry.
They shook hands, and then Harry was becoming nervous about asking Hermione to be his girlfriend. Yes her father had all but agreed to let them become more, but Harry wanted the entire experience with Hermione. He wanted normal. Dating, asking for her father's blessing, asking for marriage. The works. But, before he could get a word in edgewise Hermione grabbed his hands and dragged him to the garden to give them the look of privacy. "Harry will you be my boyfriend," Hermione asks. She looks just as nervous as he feels. Harry looks at her with wide eyes and swears if they hadn't been sitting he would have fainted hearing this. "Harry, are you ok?" Hermione asked him. When he didn't respond Hermione looked scared thinking her mother must have been wrong he didn't like her like that. But, when he didn't respond, Hermione thought this might be her only chance. Slowly she leaned in a faint blush on her cheeks she had only kissed two boys a muggle neighbor, and Ron at the final battle. She kissed Harry with the most passion she could to get him to respond to her. During the kiss, Hermione noticed there was a gold light that appeared indicating something Hermione had only heard about in her books a soul bond. it is a very special piece of magic that only happens when you find your soul mate.
Her parents rushed over seeing the light, and thinking their daughter was in danger. Mrs. Granger seeing her daughter was okay, "what that bright light?" she asked.
But, she didn't respond instead she rushed inside to get her book on bonds so her parents could understand what had happened. And, in reading what their daughter had given to them they instantly knew their little girl was now married to her best friend. "I gave the boy permission, but I would have liked to walk my little girl down the aisle." Mr. Granger joked.
Harry finally came around and saw the Grangers leaning over him. Mr. Granger helped Harry sit up and handed him a glass of water. Harry placed his hand on his head, "what happened?" he asked looking at Hermione she always had the answers and had never led him astray.
Hermione was unsure of how he would take this. So she took a deep breath, " you just went comatose when I asked you to be my boyfriend." Hermione spewed out. Though she wasn't sure how would he react when she explained to him there were now legally married in the wizarding world because she has kissed him.
All he could think was 'wow!' He looked at Hermione with wide eyes, "All I wanted was for you to be my girlfriend, and now I find out it was bound to happen someday.?" Harry asked her. She nodded still unsure how he was going to respond. "I am not unhappy about this Hermione, but I wanted time to woo you make you want me, but to know your my soulmate the only woman I ever wanted makes me the happiest wizard in the world." he told her. "But to answer your question yes I will be your boyfriend if you will be my girlfriend." He says, but before Hermione could respond they were popped out of thin air. The Grangers though worried were used to weird their daughter and son-in-law were a witch and a wizard. They went back to the table to enjoy their lemonade and toasted to a successful day of finally getting the two of them to admit their feelings for one another. What they didn't know was Harry and Hermione were on to another adventure in a place far far away. But, it was going to change all their lives. Forever.
