Again the world goes dark and he sees Aqua walking on the side of a wall with her hands wide open to balance herself.

"Hey I've been thinking, how does fate work? I mean don't the gods control that?" Aqua stops walking, hops off the wall safely, and lands beside her.

"It does and it doesn't." she answers him.

'Fate is made out of the decisions made by those that were born before we were, those decisions mix with the decisions that we "She points at him and back at herself, before opening her hands and spins.

"And the people around us make, that's what fate is." she answered him, in one of the few times that she acted like a proper Goddes.

"Then how do the Heroes work?" he asked her.

"The same way, you chose me and stole me from Heaven, everyone else chose an item or power." she answered him before a shiny toy that some kids were playing with caught her attention and she ran to see what it was.

As Aqua ran further and further away she crossed angel. he could only look at her Long blue hair as it moved back and forth, as it phased through Angel before completely fading away.

"How is that supposed to help me?" he asks himself before he stops walking when he realizes that Rachel has stopped following him. He turns and sees her trembling with fear.

He turns and sees Angel whose beauty hasn't diminished despite being covered in blood.

"It's like I'm looking at someone that like me who I became and who I could have been." he thinks to himself before he sits down and looks up to the ceiling that is so high that he can't even see it.

"He told us to survive, so that means that there's a time limit or he wants to kill us." he says to them.

'Get up we don't have the luxury to be sitting around." Angel says to him but he ignores her.

"Rachel have you figured out how that box works?" he asks Rachel and while he didn't turn to look at her, her silence told him that she hadn't.

"Flare," he says before he throws another coin and it bursts into a white light, that grows until the entire room is filled with light and there are no shadows near them.

He looks around and sees several figures moving away, it is as if the light either hurt them or they couldn't afford to be seen.

"Considering that everything here is trying to kill us and they only attack each other after they tried to kill us, I say that the safest option for us is to either hide or make everything here kill everything else."

"I don't hide." Angel says to him but doesn't add anything else.

"Yeah, but we have someone who doesn't have any experience, so neither of those options is any good."

"So we can either abandon her or capture everything that we can and help her get stronger."

"K,k,k,k, kazuma." Rachel says to him her voice trembling as she slowly walks towards him.

He doesn't even feel his body move when his skills force him to move so that the attack from the creature that Angel kills without any effort.

"Relax I don't abandon my team." he says to her before he looks at the ball of light that he summoned.

"So how are we going to do this, do I turn that off and let them charge at us? Or do we try cornering them until we run into something that isn't afraid of a little light?" he asks the girls who look at him as if he had asked a dumb question.

"What?" he asks them before the sounds of footsteps draw his attention.

"Well, either we passed or the decision was made for us."

A burst of cold wind threw he off her feet before the hot sensation of her face touching the floor forced her to pick herself up and rub her face, but she quickly forgot the pain.

Kazuma had become a blur, the boy, the man, her partner, yes that's what he was, he was her partner.

Appeared, disappeared, and reappeared in so many different places that she would have thought that he had somehow split himself into several different people.

All around her were the sounds of battle, in the areas, where the light didn't touch she could see blue lightning flash before something or someone screamed in pain before they became silent.

She looked back to where Kazuma was but found several people either frozen in place or lying on the floor unable to move because they were tied up with wires.

A chill ran down her spine and she nearly screamed when she turned and saw a giant hand that was made out of rock coming closer, she closed her eyes and used her hands to shield herself but the attack never reached her.

She slowly opened her eyes and found Kazuma standing in the palm of the monster's hand.

"Hey, it's okay," he says to her before patting her head.

"You need to wobble before you can uh yourself, and you need to push yourself before you can crawl and you know what comes next." he says to her.

She doesn't know what to say as she sees him throw another one of his coins but this time she hears him say Tinder before a spark becomes a sea of fire that flies into the sky but never reaches the ceiling.

"Rachel you said that you wanted to see the stars, it's just going to get harder from here. So if you want to go up." he points at the red cube floating near her.

She reaches out to it and it comes closer to her, she doesn't know what to do but she can feel it moving, the cube splits itself into two more before one of them grows large enough that she can enter it.

There is a screen just above some kind of keyboard and she can see everything that the other cubes see, she can barely stop herself from smiling she can do something now.

Unfortunately, her joy doesn't last when she sees Angel slowly walking out of the darkness, her hands dripping with blood and a cold smirk on her face.

'Just be glad that she is on our side." she hears Kazuma say to her, she turns to look at him but he is focused on the screen.

"Let's see what these things can do." he says to her before he tells her to make the cubes move in different directions before she accidentally makes them go too far.

"I'm sorry," she says to him as she turns to look at him, but he's still smiling at her.

'For what?" he asks her.

'For being so useless"

"And what's so wrong about that, you have limits and so does everyone else. Now you know how far your cubes can go and I bet that if we want them to work again we just need to go and get them." he says to her before he walks out of the cube.

The cube begins to shake, and in a panic, she begins to press buttons while hoping that whatever is going on doesn't destroy the only useful thing that she has with her.

It's only when the shaking stops that she realizes that the giant that Kazuma was riding on now has the cube on its back and it's carrying it toward the other cubes.

She doesn't say anything when both Kazuma and Angel walk inside and she doesn't say anything when a gold coin entersthe cube and lands in Kazumas hand.

She is just happy that she can stop the cube from letting the sound from the outside in, that way she doesn't have to hear the screams of the people and the monsters when the light completely goes out.
