Chapter 77.
Acceptance.
(AN: As you already know, all the battles started at the same time, therefore this chapter takes place a little bit before the last chapter)
- "Yes, this is going to be interesting..." - Toga thought as she gets up from the ground. – "It seems like I have to fight a kitten."-
- "Don't call me that!"- Cheetah said with annoyance. – "Of all those I could face; I got a brat..."-
- "Come on kitty...let's have some fun!"- Toga said as he pulls out a pair of knives and charges at Cheetah.
For his part, Cheetah takes out his claws and with a roar charges at Toga.
Toga and Cheetah attack each other by clashing claws against knives, with each clash sparks fly out.
The attacks continue until Cheetah manages to knock one of Toga's knives out of her hands and quickly attacks her with his claws, Toga quickly arches her back to avoid Cheetah's claws, then, taking advantage of the momentum, she spins backwards away from Cheetah and then throws a pair of knives at him.
Cheetah uses her claws to deflate the knives and then charges at Toga again, Cheetah's speed is so high that Toga does not have time to grab knives and is forced to dodge Cheetah's attacks, even so, Cheetah's speed is such that he manages to surpass Toga and manages to hurt her on her right thigh and then kick her in the stomach.
Toga falls to the ground after receiving the kick, when she tries to get up the pain makes it difficult for her to do so, she still manages to stand up. – "That hurt a little..."- She said while smiling.
- "What's wrong with you?! Are you seriously smiling even though you've been hurt?"- Cheetah asked confused by the girl's attitude. – "Normal people don't do that!"-
- "Why can't you be normal?"- Those words ring in Toga's head.
- "Well... I have never been someone normal..."- Toga said before smiling. – "And I have no problem with that!" – Toga charges at Cheetah while putting on her mask and transforms into Yamikumo.
- "And the real fight begins..." - Cheetah thought as he dodged a fireball. – "His quirk will be quite complicated to deal with... but not for me!"-
Cheetah charges at Toga and attacks her with his claws, Toga dodges and counterattacks with a pair of fire kicks but Cheetah blocks them with his arms, then Toga attacks him with two fire punches but again Cheetah blocks the attacks.
- "He's good…"- Toga thought as she continues attacking Cheetah.
- "This girl knows how to move..."- Cheetah thought as he grabbed Toga's leg while blocking a kick. – "But I'm better!"-
Cheetah throws Toga against the wall, upon impact, Toga detransforms, Cheetah attacks the girl but she dodges it and when Cheetah hits the wall the attack creates a crater and raises some dust, Toga takes advantage of the dust to get away from Cheetah, despite having dodged Cheetah's attack, which managed to scratch her right cheek.
Cheetah emerges from the dust and with a roar attacks Toga who manages to pull out a knife to defend herself from Cheetah's attack, Toga manages to stop Cheetah's attack by stabbing her knife into the palm of Cheetah's hand who lets out a roar of pain, Toga takes advantage of this and tries to stab Cheetah but he stops her attack by holding Toga's arm and forcing her to let go of the knife by digging his claws into her arm.
Toga grits her teeth to endure the pain and quickly hits Cheetah with a double kick to the face with which she also takes the opportunity to push herself away from Cheetah and distance herself.
Toga touches his arm where he has the wound while staring at Cheetah.
- "Once I'm done with you, I'll get back what was taken from me."- Cheetah said angrily.
- "What are you talking about?"- Toga asked.
- "I used to be the leader of a group... I founded it, my group used to seek acceptance from society, but I soon realized that that would never happen..."- Cheetah said. – "That's why we had to make our move on the Skytree Tower."-
- "That was you?"- Toga asked. – "I don't know how much that has helped to be accepted... even for someone like me that is already too much..."-
- "I wanted to send a message, I had to do extreme things to ensure my people were treated with respect... but I failed."- Cheetah said. – "And everything I worked for was taken away from me..."-

Flashback.
Shortly after the Skytree Tower incident.
Hiro is investigating the rubble of the Skytree tower, next to him are Tai and Shen.
- "He should be around here."- Tai said.
- "Are you sure?"- Hiro asked.
- "He wouldn't die so easily."- Tai said.
- "I hope you're right; I don't need a dead person."- Hiro said.
The three continue looking for something and after a couple of minutes they finally find what they are looking for, among several rubble is the badly injured but still alive body of Cheetah.
- "There he is! I told you he would survive that!"- Tai said. – "I hope you hold up your end of the deal."-
- "I fulfill what I promise."- Hiro said and then snapped his fingers.
Snapping his fingers, Yuki and Raido appear and Kai also arrives with them.
- "Here you are, your own puppet, Kai, he is ready and prepared to follow your orders without hesitation." – Hiro said and then looked at Kai. – "Kai, this is Tai and from now on she is your owner, you will follow her orders exclusively and no one else's."-
- "Yes, Chairman Hiro."- Kai said before kneeling before Tai. – "It will be an honor to follow your orders Lady Tai."-
- "Cool."- Tai said. – "Very well, Cheetah is all yours and if anyone asks, we don't know anything about him, come on Shen, Kai."-
- "I'm hungry…"- Shen said as he follows Tai, who leaves the place, Kai follows them.
- "Yuki, Raido... take care of him."- Hiro said after Tai, Kai and Shen left the place.
– "Yes, Chairman Hiro."-
Yuki and Raido take the unconscious Cheetah and carry him away, Hiro just watches with a smile. – "Just two more and it will be complete..." – He thought.

Sometime later.
Cheetah wakes up and when he opens his eyes he notices that he is in a room lying on a bed with several bandages on his body. – "Where am I?" -Cheetah asks himself.
- "In a safe place from heroes."- A voice said attracting attention, sitting in a chair is Hiro looking at Cheetah.
- "And who the hell are you?"- Cheetah asked aggressively.
- "I'm no one important, at least for now, although you should be grateful, if it weren't for me the heroes would have captured you." – Hiro said.
- "Are you a villain?"- Cheetah asked.
- "Not exactly, I'm just someone who makes a living doing not very legal things." – Hiro said.
- "And what do you want?"- Cheetah asked.
- "I have a proposal for you..."- Hiro said. – "Work for me and..."-
- "I don't work for anyone!"- Cheetah said. – "When my group finds out that I'm still alive, they will come for me!"-
- "I doubt it."- Hiro said.
- "What do you mean?"- Cheetah asked.
- "I mean they won't come for you; they don't even know you're alive."- Hiro said. - "They are now under new leadership; they now call themselves... the Wolf Pack."-
- "You lie! They wouldn't follow a nobody!"- Cheetah said.
- "The new leader isn't exactly a nobody...she's pretty smart."- Hiro said. – "I think her name was... Tai."-
- "Tai!" – Cheetah said recognizing the name. – "She has always had different ideals than me, so I assigned Shen to supervise her, but she never did anything suspicious."-
- "That's because Shen was always on her side, he gained your trust only so you assigned him to watch Tai so they could both plan to take control of the group."- Hiro said.
- "How do you know all that?"- Cheetah asked.
- "Very easy... after all, she made a deal with me to give you to me."- Hiro said.
- "What?!"- Cheetah said angrily and tries to attack Hiro but a wall of ice protects the Chairman.
- "Calm down, will you?"- Yuki said. - "You don't want anything bad to happen to you, do you?"-
Suddenly a gun is pointed at Cheetah's head, it is Raido who uses his quirk to aim it at Cheetah.
- "I am not your enemy, I did not make the deal, it was Tai who approached me with the offer, I only accepted because it was convenient for me."- Hiro said.
- "And why tell me all this?"- Cheetah asked.
- "Unlike what you think, I don't care about your group's affairs or who is in charge... here's why I made my proposal and why I accepted Tai's deal."- Hiro said. – "Work for me and I will help you regain control of your group."-
- "I find it hard to believe, you helped Tai and now you help me." . Cheetah said.
- "I helped her because it was convenient for me, you are very strong and skilled, I could use someone like you for my revenge." – Hiro said.
- "Revenge?"- Cheetah asked.
- "You see... some people destroyed something that was mine and I want revenge, it's that simple and if you help me with that I will help you with your problems."- Hiro said. – "We will both meet our goals, it's a win-win for both of us."-
- "You should accept, Hiro keeps his promises."- Yuki said.
- "You aren't going to betray me?"- Cheetah asked.
- "I give you my word."- Hiro said as he extends his hand to Cheetah.
Cheetah looks at Hiro's hand for a few seconds and then... - "Okay...I accept the deal."- Cheetah said while giving Hiro a handshake.
- "Perfect, now rest, I need you to regain your strength."- Hiro said. – "Oh, I almost forgot...welcome to the golden guard, Cheetah."-
Flashback end.

- "That's why I must kill you and keep my end of the deal!"- Cheetah said and with a roar attacks Toga again.
Toga quickly draws her knives and begins to fight Cheetah, clashing claws with knives again. – "A group that abandoned you on the first try?"- Toga said. – "Why do you want to go back to those kinds of people?"-
- "Because they are my people!"- Cheetah said. – "We've all been through the same thing... we were discriminated against because of our appearance... we just wanted to be treated like normal people?"-
Cheetah manages to disarm Toga and then punch her in the stomach.
- "Someone like you who didn't suffer from that would never understand!"- Cheetah manages to scratch Toga's right shoulder and then kicks her in the head, knocking her down. – "We just wanted to be treated normally!"-
- "Being normal in a society like this?"- Toga asked as she gets up, she has several wounds on her body and blood is falling down her face, yet her smile does not disappear. – "Why want to be accepted in a society that will never accept you as you are?"-
- "What's wrong with wanting to be accepted?"- Cheetah asked.
- "Wanting to be accepted is not the problem..."- Toga said. – "The problem is the society that will never accept you."-
- "What do you mean?"- Cheetah asked.
- "You are not the only ones who have been rejected by society."- Toga said. – "It's not just because of the physical appearance... if you don't act or be the way society dictates, they won't accept you either."-
Toga touches the wound on her shoulder and then licks her blood. – "To be truly accepted, you shouldn't change yourself..." - Toga said and then took out a pair of knives and charged at Cheetah. – "What you have to change is the unjust society to be accepted!"- Toga frantically attacks Cheetah who dodges the slashes; however one manages to slightly cut his cheek.
Upon receiving the cut, Cheetah grabs Toga's arms to stop the attacks and then delivers a kick to his jaw which lifts Toga into the air, Cheetah decides to attack Toga while she is in the air, however, the girl thinks quickly, takes one of the vials of blood and opens it so that the blood falls on Cheetah's face, momentarily blinding him and giving Toga time to get away.
Despite that, Cheetah surprises her by appearing in front of her and grabbing her by the neck. – "You can blind me... but I can still smell you!"- Cheetah throws Toga into the air and then proceeds to wipe the blood off his face.
Suddenly, a tongue sticks to the ground next to Cheetah and suddenly he is hit by a double kick from Toga transformed into Tsuyu, Cheetah is knocked down by the kick while Toga jumps back and then transforms into Mina and fires a jet of acid at Cheetah, who, upon seeing the attack, crouches to avoid the acid although despite that, the acid manages to melt part of Cheetah's shirt.
- "Not bad."- Cheetah said and then attacked Toga, who, still transformed into Mina, uses the acid to slide on the ground and dodge Cheetah's attacks; after dodging the attacks, Toga throws some acid which slightly burns Cheetah's skin.
Despite this, Cheetah does not retreat from the attack and manages to dig his claws into Toga's stomach, who loses his transformation. Luckily, the claws did not dig deep.
Toga spits blood and then receives a kick from Cheetah which makes him fall to the ground.
- "You have good skills, but you will never understand people like me..."- Cheetah said as he slowly approaches Toga. – "You say we also suffer? Do not make me laugh! You will never understand us!"-
Toga tries to get up, but her injuries and fatigue do not allow her to do so, leaving her lying face up on the floor. – "I... I never had someone who understood me..."- Toga said quietly, a voice that only she heard. – "Even though I tried... I tried to be normal..."-
- "Never in my life have I had people who accept me as I am..."- Toga thought.
Her parents, her classmates, even the girls at UA that she considers her friends, no one has ever taken the time to get to know her true self, no one has ever accepted her as she is.
- "Never... I have never been accepted... it is very unfair..."- Toga's thoughts continue but suddenly an image of five people smiling at her appears in her mind. – "And despite everything... if there are people who accept me as I am..."-
Jin Bubaigawara, the first person who truly accepted her as she is, despite everything, a shame that he is no longer with her and the others...
Mahoro and Katsuma, although they may not know everything about her or the things she did, they accepted her as she is, even Mahoro considers her an older sister.
Yamikumo Atanagi, despite everything, and that he and she are not exactly best friends, he never tried to change her, at least not change who she is, he only tried to help her be better, without changing her way of being.
Finally, Dabi, or, as she just found out, Toya Todoroki, while they both started off on the wrong foot, their relationship has evolved into one of trust and friendship, even something more, during this time she may have developed feelings for him, although it is impossible for them to be together.
So yes, despite everything, there are people who accepted her as she is, it is everything she has always wanted and therefore...
- "Therefore... I still can't die!"- Toga said as she stood up, surprising Cheetah in the process.
- "You can still get up... It seems like I underestimated you."- Cheetah said.
Without saying another word, they both charge at each other, resuming their fight of knives against claws, this time both manage to deliver cuts to their opponent, Cheetah manages to scratch Toga's arm but she manages to cut Cheetah's chest.
Toga avoids another attack from Cheetah and manages to stab him in the chest, but he is not affected and manages to dig his claws into Toga's abdomen, making her drop her other knife.
Toga is thrown to the ground by Cheetah. – "I must admit that I underestimated you..."- Cheetah said. – "But you're just a brat throwing a tantrum just because no one can stand you for just being a little weird!"-
- "Come and say that to my face..."- Toga said.
- "As you wish."- Cheetah said as she approached Toga and grabbed her head to lift it up to his face level.
However, Toga surprises him by pulling out a knife and unexpectedly stabbing him in the neck.
- "W-Wha…"-
- "For the record..."- Toga said. – "I already have people who accept me and love me as I am... and I would do anything for them!"- Toga cuts Cheetah's neck who lets her go and begins to bleed streams of blood from her neck without stopping, a little blood splashes on Toga, who is lying face up on the floor.
Cheetah desperately tries to stop the bleeding, but it is too late, within seconds Cheetah falls to the ground, completely dead from massive blood loss.
Toga is left lying on the floor, little by little fatigue overcomes her, seconds, minutes pass, but she feels like hours, her eyes are closing more and more, but right at that moment, somewhat blurry, Toga manages to make out someone , to Dabi, thinking that it is some kind of hallucination due to fatigue, Toga decides to say what she feels.
- "Dabi-kun… I really like you…"- After saying this, Toga falls unconscious.
But, what she doesn't know is that Dabi was really there, somehow he got here. – "I…"- Dabi said as he glances at Toga and then returns his gaze to his rival, Yuki,
- "Me too…"-

Another chapter finished and yeah.
Another fight has concluded, Toga has defeated Cheetah.
We also have how Cheetah joined Hiro's gold guard and how Hiro gave Kai to Tai.
As I already said we will have how they all joined the gold guard, now only Yuki remains, of whom we will not only have how she joined the gold guard, but we will also have her complete past!
But that will be after seeing Round 2 between Yami and Hiro!
After that we will have the end of Dabi's fight against Yuki and then the outcome of Yamikumo's fight against Hiro as well as the conclusion of the arc to finally move on to the final arc, which I think will be quite long, I don't want to say exact numbers, since I don't know how many chapters there will be, but I estimate approximately 20, maybe a few more or maybe a few less.
