Chapter 3: Blissful Planning

It was first period and Colette's eyes were still on Danny.

She didn't even bother to copy notes, since she could easily get them from those nerds that Dash threatens to do it instead. Right now, her eyes were on the dark haired boy she was determined to have for herself.

At first, it was in anger...but soon that melted into infatuation.

"He might be difficult...but he does have a certain something to him..."Colette thought dreamily.

It ended when she saw Estelle hand him a note. The boy quickly read it, blushed, wrote something and handed it back to her while Lancer was too busy writing on the board to notice.

Colette frowned, and felt her anger rise as she saw this flirtatious action.

"It should be MOI who gets to exchange sweet messages with Mon Amore! NOT HER!..."She thought, gripping her pencil in her hand.

Before she could grumble more about it, she suddenly notice the dark haired boy shiver for a moment. That caught her attention.

"Is Mon Amore alright? I do not think it is so cold in here..."She thought, her anger replaced with curiosity.

She then watched her beloved raise his hand and excuse himself to the bathroom. Once he was gone, Colette sighed bitterly.

"Please return soon, Darling. You are the only silver lining to this dreary school existence at zhis public school!..."Colette thought, upset with his absence.

5 minutes later

The ghost boy soon returned and sat back to his desk, he then seem to whisper something to Estelle.

"What are they talking about?..."Colette thought as she tried to listen in, only hearing bits and parts due to them talking very hush-hush way.

"Any trouble?..."Star asked.

"Nah, it was just you know who with his boxes. Nothing that I can't handle..."Danny whispered back.

Colette raised an eyebrow.

"What are they talking about? And what iz this about boxes?..."She thought, confused by what they said.

"Miss Bevier!..."Mr. Lancer suddenly shouted, getting her attention.

"Oui, Monsieur Lancer?..."Colette said, as the teacher spoke to her.

"Since you seem to be paying SO MUCH attention to class, perhaps you can tell us who the author of the Hunchback of Notre Dame is?..."The fat teacher asked.

"Monsieur Victor Hugo..."Colette answered easily.

"Correct. Glad to see you were paying attention..."Lancer said, as some students snickered at that.

Colette glared at him, hating being put on the spot like that.

"Once I have Danny all to myself, I will make Papa buy out this school board and deal with this fool for good!..."She thought, irritated that she even has to answer to him.

She then went back to ogling Danny for the rest of class, as well as making plans to steal him away from Estelle.

Later

Homeroom was over and the next period was science.

Colette had wanted to cut in front of Star and try and have a few moments alone with Danny but thanks to that fool Dash, she missed her chance.

"Darn it!..."She thought as she went to her desk.

The one behind her least favorite couple and decided to just go back to ogling Danny...or she would have.

However, her beloved suddenly shivered again and raised his hand again.

"Excuse me, Mr. Felucca, but can I be excused?..."Danny asked suddenly.

"Any particular reason why, Mr. Fenton?..."The teacher asked.

"Uh...bathroom..."He said, looking embarrassed as the teacher sighed with displeasure.

"Very well..."He said, excusing the boy.

Danny rushed out as Colette raised an eyebrow.

"Strange...didn't he go last period?..."She thought, while Dash snickered.

"There he goes again. I guess Fenton still isn't potty trained yet..."Dash mocked.

"What a loser..."Paulina scoffed. "I don't know what you see in him, Colette..."She said dismissively.

"He has potential...so much..."Colette said, as her mind wandered.

She recalled how handsome and charming he looked during that dinner at the country club and how gallant he was with his manners.

"He was so handsome and charming at the club..."She thought, fantasizing how he looked in the suit and well coiffed hair.

Sure, maybe Beatrice was unimpressed but that was only because she was an old fool who couldn't see his true value. Colette knew that was only a glimmer of the gentleman Danny can be, if given the right guidance.

She imagined herself with Danny, older and him being groomed into the perfect gentleman that is worthy of her and only her.

"Oh!~..."She let out, as she imagined that hypothetical future.

Her daydreaming ended when her beloved came rushing back to the classroom ten minutes later...but he seemed sweaty now for some reason and almost out of breath.

He said nothing as he went to his desk, but Colette couldn't help but raise a brow.

"Vhat is happening to him? He looks like he went through one of that mannish she-beast Tesslaff's laps..."Colette thought, curious about his condition.

However, her curiosity was replaced with anger when she saw Danny and Estelle holding hands whenever the teacher didn't see and kept sending each other loving looks.

The sight angered the spoiled brat even more.

"Soon...that will be moi!..."She thought, trying hard not to give into her anger again.

She mentally tried to come up with ways to get rid of her greatest obstacle, her stepsister.

How she would do that, she didn't know yet.

She just knew that one way or another, she'd have Danny by her birthday party. She would make sure of it.

Later

The bell rang and they had a free period right now.

Danny and Estelle soon left, holding hands and talking. They were unaware that Colette had decided to follow them, keeping a distance to avoid detection. They soon arrived to Estelle's locker and Colette kept herself to the corner, trying to listen in.

"You sure that you're okay?..."Estelle asked.

"I'm fine...nothing I can't handle. Just being annoyed was the worst that happened..."Danny said.

Colette raised a brow at that.

"Who is it they are talking about?..."The spoiled brat wondered.

"Colette, what are you doing?..."Kwan asked, as he approached her.

Colette flinched before she glared at him.

"Do not sneak up on me, you oaf!..."She snapped, angry.

Kwan blinked at her outburst.

"I guess you were doing something..."Kwan said, scratching the side of his head.

"Why did you come here to bother me, Kwan?..."Colette demanded, wanting to go back to her spying.

"Uh...Dash and Paulina said that we have an A-Lister meeting about your sweet sixteen party..."Kwan said, in an attempt to get her less angry.

Colette rolled her eyes, but her interest was somewhat peaked for a moment.

"Ugh, very well. Let us hear their ideas..."She said, since her party is an important topic to her.

However, she sent a glance at her least favorite couple and made a note to deal with them later.

"I may as well make sure that my party is perfect...since I WILL have the perfect date to go with it!..."She thought, still determined to have Danny by her big party.

The spoiled brat went to join her "friends", putting her own planning on hold for the moment.

However, she didn't know what they were up to yet.

With Danny and Star

"Geez, Klemper really needs to get a hobby or something..."Star said, after Danny explained the details of his latest fight.

Danny rolled his eyes.

"You're telling me. Granted, I don't see him playing a card game anytime soon..."He said.

The couple decided to talk about topics that they actually care about. Namely about Star's birthday and their 6 month anniversary.

All happening on the same weekend.

"Don't worry. I didn't forget this time. Scout's honor..." Danny said.

"That would be more believable if you actually had been a scout, Danny-Boo..." Star joked. "But I get what you mean, so don't worry, I won't give you grief this time..."She said, smiling at him.

"So... what should we do for your birthday and our anniversary?..." Danny asked.

"Hmm... not sure... but I figure something will happen between my parents..." Star said in disapproval.

"You don't sound so enthused..."Danny said.

"Let's just say that I hope it won't be a repeat of my cotillion. My mom always likes going big..."She said, not wanting to repeat that incident.

An incident that involved decorating the house in exotic flowers, a string quartet, a lot of other fancy stuff and she and her parents arguing for most of the planning. Danny heard her explain all of this and rolled his eyes in disapproval with a sigh.

"That sounds just like her..." He said, while his girlfriend sighed.

"You should have seen my 10th birthday party. I would have been more than okay with a nice cake and a pizza party with my friends but my mom had to rent an entire restaurant last second and get fireworks and fire dancers too, as well as a band to sing me Happy Birthday...and that's just the tip of the ice berg..." Star said in displeasure.

"Not only that, but one time, my mom hired a bunch of professional dancers and I was not too pleased about that because I felt that was more for her than me, then she tried to give people to do fireworks and spell out my name in the sky but it ended up spelling the word "Tar" and believe me when I tell you Danny-Boo... that my mom blew a gasket over that blunder that she complained about it for weeks..."Star grumbled.

"Oh, and my least favorite was the fact that my parents kept arguing for most of the planning and part of the event..."She said.

"I see..."Danny said, not sure how to react to that.

So, he decided to change the subject.

"Still it's your Sweet Sixteen. That is pretty much a big deal..."Danny said, trying to get her to smile.

"I know...but to be honest... I'm more excited about our special day to be honest..."Star said. "I mean it Danny-Boo, you been the best thing that ever happened to me..."She said, making him smile.

"She makes it easy to fall for her all over again..."Danny thought, smiling.

He chuckled a bit.

"What's so funny?...'Star asked, curious.

"Just thinking that months ago you hated my guts and the last thing you and I wanted was to spend anytime together..."He pointed out.

"And now we can't get enough of it..." Star finished for him. "How far we have come, wouldn't you say Danny-Boo?..."She said, giggling.

"Totally..." He agreed.

The two laughed, and began to feel a little less stress now.

"So… Feeling better Starlight?..."He asked.

"Kinda..."Star said.

"Just kinda?..."Danny asked, not satisfied.

Star sighed.

She might be feeling better but still wasn't feeling good. Still, she tried to reassure her boyfriend.

No. I really am, Danny!..." Star said

"For real?..."He asked.

His girlfriend nodded.

"Yes. Don't get me wrong, I like my birthday and I am looking forward to turning sixteen...but my parents always tend to go overboard with my parties...especially since the divorce..."Star said, recalling past experiences in her mind.

"Well...your mom and dad have been getting along better later. Maybe it won't go bad..." Danny said, trying to be hopeful for his girlfriend's sake.

"Always the optimist Danny-Boo ..."Star said with a smile.

"That's one of the reasons why I love you, but let's be real, the day my mom doesn't go all on my birthday, it's the day the Box Ghost becomes an actual threat without Pandora's box..."She added, recalling a certain incident a while back that didn't really count.

"Come on Starlight, you gotta be more optimistic than that..."He said.

"Easier said than done...but I'd love to try..."Star said, before shaking her head.

"I'm just worried about history going to repeat or something..."She admitted.

"Come on, your mom has tried to be more helpful and accepting. I'm sure that she'll understand, get the message and do something you want rather than something she THINKS you want..."Danny said.

"I hope..."Star said, though her tone held clear disbelief.

"Tell you what, if I'm wrong and your mom does something extravagant, I'll take you to the Far Frozen for a snow day, we can build a snow woman and pretend it's Colette and tear it apart to help you get rid of some frustration..." Danny suggested

"It's a date, Danny-Boo..."Star said, agreeing.

Meanwhile

At Polter Heights

A game of telephone went from quiet to loud.

"What do you mean just a mere party at your place?!..." Stella asked, not sounding pleased right now.

"Exactly what I just said. I thought having the party here would be nice and my parents plan to help with taking Star to see a nice art exhibit and then out to dinner at a nice dinner. It will be a little surprise for her from them..." Johnathan said over the phone.

"Come now. It's her sixteenth birthday! She should enjoy the finest things a girl her age can get!..."Stella said, not satisfied with the plan her ex-husband has in mind.

"Maybe that's how you'd celebrate it, but not Star..."Johnathan said, though his ex-wife remained stubborn.

"Is there anything wrong with wanting to throw extravagant parties for my girls?..."Stella asked.

"Girls?..."Johnathan asked.

"Colette's fully healed and Jean-Luc and I decided to throw her a nice little party to celebrate since it's her sixteen birthday too..."Stella said.

"You're too soft on her... You're only being nice because you feel sorry for her injuries..."Johnathan pointed out.

"No... she's really changing for the better, you'll see..." Stella said, though even she didn't sound so sure about that.

"I'll believe it when I see it in broad daylight..." Johnathan said, sounding as unconvinced as possible.

"Regardless, both she and Star are turning 16 and I want only the best for them. I've already reserved the country clug for both their parties. The first party will obviously be Star's and the following day will be Colette's..."She said.

"You booked two parties at the Platinum room?!..."Johnathan exclaimed.

"Actually, just for Star's party. Eleanor said that was the only day available. Colette's party will be outside in the floral garden but it will still be beautiful. Jean-Luc and I didn't spare expenses and even made sure to get the best flowers possible and have the decorations with gold..."She said.

"We even bought Colette the latest model car..."She said.

"A car?!..." Jonathan exclaimed. "You two are aware that girl can't even drive yet and yet you're willing to let her be behind the wheel of a car?!..."He shouted.

"I'm sure Colette will get the hang of it. Just as Star will when she's ready..."She said airily.

"But enough about that, I already have the perfect party planned for our daughter. It will be a nice small party with dancers, ponies, a live band, gourmet food a fog machine, a sculptor, a painter, a fireworks display and several statues of ice in her likeness..."Stella said, sounding eager as she said this.

"I'm already pre-ordering a diamond encrusted dress and matching tiara, along with matching shoes. Also, I have purchased the latest jewelry all the way from Paris.. and greater amounts of dresses..."She said, looking excited and oblivious to how Johnathan felt.

Johnathan sighed.

"I should have known, you're definition of "small" has always been pretty big..."He muttered.

"What's that suppose to mean?..."Stella went.

"Nothing..."Johnathan lied, not wanting another fight with her.

"Anyway, you don't have to worry about the bill for the club. I plan on covering everything. Daddy's also coming all the way here and Beatrice is still in Europe, so we don't have to worry about her crashing the party..."Stella said.

"Thank goodness, the restraining order can only do so much. That old bat should know she's not welcome here. I'd tear the place apart if I saw her..."He said, as his ex-wife continued.

"Honestly I'm surprised as you that she's been quiet and hasn't even tried anything, I wonder why?..."Stella wondered.

"Don't jinx a good thing, Stella..." Jonathan replied. "Let's just be happy that she's far away from us..."He said.

"Right..."Stella agreed, before she continued.

"Also, I even got my cousins to send gifts straight from Europe, Africa and Asia. I'm also getting an opera singer to get to sing "Happy Birthday" to Star. Oh, it's going to be fabulous! ..."Stella said, excited for what Star is to get.

Johnathan frowned but realized something.

"Does Star know about that?..."He asked.

"Well...no...but I am sure she'll love everything I have planned for her. It's going to be the best sweet sixteenth in the history of sweet sixteenths. I guarantee it..."Stella said.

"You're doing it again, Stella..."Johnathan said, eye rolling.

"What are you talking about? What am I doing?..."She asked.

"You're trying to buy brownie points with Star by trying to spoil her. You know that never works out and you can't just buy her love and forgiveness, you just make things worse..."He said.

"I-I'm doing no such thing, I just wanna plan a very nice party for my precious daughter..."Stella said in a defensive way.

"And win her forgiveness..."Johnathan muttered.

"What's wrong with a mother wanting to arrange a nice party for her child? I want to do this for her. It's the thought that counts, right?..."Stella asked, getting upset.

"That's not a problem, except it seems like your making this party more about you and getting desperate to be forgiven, not what our daughter wants..."Johnathon said.

"I am not. I'm doing this for Star! You're just jealous I can afford nicer things for her..."Stella said, getting upset.

Johnathan sighed.

"Look, this is getting us nowhere. When Star comes home from school, we'll ask her what she wants..."Johnathan said.

"Fine. That's fair..."Stella said, accepting this.

"I just wish that she and Colette would stop fighting and allow each other to attend the others party...and actually get along..."She said.

"No way that would ever happen...and Star already told you 10 times that she's not going to Colette's party. She couldn't since she and Danny have plans for their anniversary..."Johnathan said, reminding his ex-wife of the teenagers plans.

"Their anniversary? Aw, that's so cute and wonderful..."Stella said, sounding giddy.

"All I know is that Star seems more excited about that than her own birthday, I'm sure of it..."Johnathan said.

Stella smiled slightly at that.

"Yes, I suppose she does. Love does affect one's thinking. Danny treats her like a princess after all..."She said.

"Anyway, Star will be home later today. You come over and we'll all talk about what she really wants for her party..."Johnathan said.

"Coming over?..."Stella thought, realizing that means seeing Johnathan again in person.

"Stella, you still there?..."Johnathan asked, since she was quiet.

Stella blinked, recalling that she was quiet.

"Oh...um...yes...sure...uh...what time?..."Stella asked.

"Maybe around 4:30, Star doesn't have lessons today and she promised to be home early..."Johnathan said, since this is one of the few days that he got to go home early from work.

"I...I see...Sure. I'll be there. I just need to get a babysitter for Pierre first and I'll be there..."Stella said.

"Alright, see you then..."Johnathan said, before hanging up.

Once he hung up, Stella held the cell phone close for a second. She felt insecure after talking with her ex for some reason.

"So, I'll be heading over at around 4:30...that means I have six hours to prepare..."Stella said, as she pulled out her phone.

She quickly called Alyssa, soon talking to her son's favorite babysitter.

"Hello, Alyssa. It's Stella. I need to step out and I wanted to know if you were available to take care of Pierre? You are? Perfect. Wonderful. I'll see you in about an hour..."Stella said.

Once done, she noticed her appearance in the mirror and felt she needed a bit of an update.

"Hmmm...Maybe I should look nicer for Johnathan..."Stella thought, wanting to doll up.

She noticed just what she thought and shook her head.

"STAR! I mean Star.. why did I think him?!..." She thought, as she didn't want to think about that.

She pulled out her phone and dialed another number, wanting to get her mind off that.

"Hello, Joaquin. It's Stella. I'd like to set up an appointment to get my hair and nails done...Ah, you have an opening in two hours... Perfect..."She said happily, before hanging up.

"Okay, all set..."She thought, as she smiled to herself.

Stella soon went to prepare herself, excited both for planning her daughter's sixteenth birthday party...and for someone else.

Back with Danny and Star

The happy couple were now outside.

They still had 15 more minutes of free period, so they did what they usually do when they have free time at school.

Make out.

"MUAH!~..."Was heard under the bleachers.

"Oh, Danny-Boo..."Star sighed, feeling lovesick.

"Glad to be here with you, Starlight..."Danny said in an affectionate way before they went back to kissing.

They soon heard loud shouting and the sound of heavy footsteps.

"Show yourselves, Maggots!..."A mannish voice was heard getting close.

"Oh man, it's Tesslaff!..."Star said.

"I'm on it..."Danny said, as they made themselves invisible.

The gym teacher checked under the bleachers and frowned.

"Alright you two lovebirds, stop-..."She stopped, when she saw no one there.

"Huh, I was sure I heard something here. Sounded like teenage affection. Must have been some animals..."Miss Tesslaff said, scratching her chin in thought.

Once she was gone, the couple regained visibility and laughed.

"She's gone..."Danny said, arms still wrapped around his girlfriend.

"Yeah. It's so convenient having a boyfriend that can turn me invisible. Makes having make out time so much easier..."Star giggled.

"Happy to be of service, Milady..."Danny said while chuckling.

"Wonderful..."Star said, before planting another kiss on him.

The couple then had more time alone.

After another 5 minutes of making out, they decided to take a small break and get some sodas before class started.

"Time to get less thirsty..."Danny said, as they made it to the vending machine.

"Right, swapping spit isn't that satisfying when your thirsty..."Star said, as she bought a diet cola.

The couple then sat by the gym as they kept talking about recent events.

"So, how are you feeling besides with upcoming events?..."Danny asked.

"Well... other than Colette being able to leave her room and Misty being unpunished, I am okay..."Star said, still bitter about that.

"Star..." Danny said in disapproval.

"I still can't believe you let that witch keep her spell book..."Star muttered, arms crossed.

"Starlight, we talked about this. Misty messed up but she was being pretty much brainwashed. I just think a second chance is all she need..."Danny said, and Star sighed.

"It's more like her fourth..."Star muttered, but knew Danny's decision was firm.

"At least she's not as bad as Colette. She's finally accepted that "Misty Yang-Fenton" is not a thing in this reality..."Danny said.

"Yeah, but it's kinda hard to be like that since no one is as bad as Colette can be..."Star said.

"True..."Danny admitted with a shrug.

"Enough about them... I'm excited to see what you have planned for me..." Star said.

"You're gonna have to wait..." Danny said with a smile.

The bell soon rang and the couple soon headed for class, holding hands the entire time.

"Can't see what he has in store..."Star thought happily, as much in love as ever.

It made waiting to see it as much exciting as it was tempting to find out.

Many Miles Away

In Colordo

Alicia was now alone at Vlad's mountain chalet.

She wasn't too happy.

She likes the chalet since she enjoyed the privacy and the rustic setting, but she missed Vlad.

"I sure do miss my hubby. And I am sure he misses me too..."Alicia said, feeling lonely.

She decided to distract herself by indulging in all the luxuries that the fancy chalet had to offer. One of them was a pool out in the backyard. Now she wasn't missing her husband so much.

The hillbilly woman put on her swim suit and decided to sun bath for a while.

She also brought some of the many items she bought with her husband's money these last few weeks to entertain herself.

"May as well use this thing..." Alicia said, putting the headphones on as she closed her eyes.

As Alicia rest by the pool, Vlad watched from afar. Or rather, one of his copies.

The real one was in Amity Park, watching all of this with his spying equipment as he made an alibi and also wanted to make sure that all of this went as he wanted it to.

"Okay... she's alone. Turn that pool from clear blue to BLOOD red! I'll worry about cleaning it later..." Vlad ordered, ready to be free from her.

With that, three of his spectral beasts made their way to Alicia.

"Rrrrgggghhhrrrrr!..."They let out, but she couldn't hear due to her headphones.

The giant badger tried to claw her, only to have bounced off something unseen, landing it in the water.

The horse tried to trample all over her, but something hit it, causing it to fall on the ground.

The three-headed wolf snarled and attempted to bite her, but something invisible broke its teeth, causing it to whimper and leave.

Vlad's copy jaw dropped as he witnessed what just happened.

"W-What?..."He said, stunned that his animals failed.

However, Vlad grew stubborn and angry again.

"What's wrong with you idiots? Kill her already. I wanna be free for that troll woman already!..."He ordered, wanting to be free of his unwanted marriage.

More animals tried to charge at Alicia with the intent of ripping her to shreds.

However, each of them either missed, got injured or collided with something before they ran away in pain... and the hillbilly woman remained blissfully unaware as she kept listening to music and not even look up.

"LALALA! YEAH!~..."Alicia sang off-key, having never noticed any of the danger that her husband sent her way.

All the while, Vlad's copy cringed at her singing before the fact she's unharmed once again entered his mind.

"W-What is this?!..."Vlad asked, wondering how all his ghost minions had failed.

Soon, he heard snickering.

"Thought your new wife would get her not-so-pretty little head in danger... so I put a little protection spell from anything you could cook up. Which means your dirty tricks won't work, Cheese Head..."Puck was heard with an echo in his voice.

Vlad couldn't see Puck, but the sound of his voice made his blood boil.

"I swear... your redheaded pelt will adorn my wall, one way or the other!..." Vlad snarled under his breath.

His copy disappeared and all the information was sent to the original Vlad.

"Blast! That fairy has just given me another reason to hunt him down and tear his pointy ears off...but I'll do that later! If he thinks I'm gonna give up, he's wrong. I'll get rid of Alicia and then him!..."Vlad said, as he went to plan more ways to get rid of his unwanted wife.

Puck just made it harder.

Meanwhile

Unknown to him, both Puck and Titania heard his and they shook their heads.

"He never learns, does he?..."Titania asked.

"Not very likely..."Puck said, disappointed that fruitloop hasn't learned his lesson yet.

"I figured once the potion wore off, he'd learn to be a little more accepting but it seems he's too stupid to learn even that much..."He grumbled.

"I am worried about that woman Alicia..."Titania said.

"No worries, I placed a protection spell on her and as you just witness, not a single hair on her was harmed. All Plasmius is gonna end up doing is wasting time and breath. All the while, Alicia's gonna waste a good chunk of his money..."Puck said, having this under control.

"Just remember, that woman's safety is your responsibility and anything that happens will be on you..."Titania reminded.

"Understood..."Puck said, nodding.

"So, can we go back to getting some of that artisanal pizza you mentioned was big around here?..."He asked.

"Of course. I promised my husband and child I'd get them some too..."Titania said, having developed a taste for it.

"Score!..." Puck went with a fist pump.

"I almost wish Oberon could hear you talk like a modern human... almost..." Titania said under her breath.

The two fairies left to continue their day. Both knowing Vlad has no proper means to get rid of Alicia.

At least no ghostly means.
