Chapter 19: Kwan's Guilt
Kwan Li was having a terrible day.
No, scratch that, he was having a terrible week.
THE WORST WEEK OF HIS LIFE!
Between being blackmaiked by Colette, being pushed into backstabbing his ex-girlfriend and now being reduced to Colette's lackey and being threatened to keep quiet about it, he felt he has crossed a MASSIVE line.
He admits that he wanted to win Star back, but this was NOT how he intended to.
Now, she was going to be seen as a vandal, her life wrecked and her heart broken too. Not to mention what is happening to Danny and his friends is wrong too.
Not only is Fenton stuck dealing with Colette, but his friends are probably ending up in juvie if Colette has her way.
Sure, he was jealous that Fenton was dating his ex and he made her turn away from him and his friends...but he NEVER wanted anything like this to happen to them.
Sure, he used to pick on them but Sam and Tucker were nice to him when they let him be around him when Fenton dated Paulina, even though they didn't like him.
They didn't deserve to be going through this sort of thing, he never wanted this to happen to anyone.
He never wanted someone actually hurt for something they didn't do, especially not the girl who he knew he still cared about, but who he had a hand in hurting, along with the people she cared about.
It was horrible!
"Star..." He thought, full of regret and remorse.
He tried to think of the one, possible silver lining to this whole situation though.
"Say nothing and Star is yours. Say nothing and Star is yours. Say nothing and Star is yours..."He repeated it in his head like a mantra.
However, this mantra didn't help him. It just tore his soul even further. If anything, it just made him feel even MORE guilty for ever considering that.
"What's wrong with me?..."He thought, feeling lower than dirt right now.
He tried to block out his guilt and think of other stuff, but it wasn't working.
"Just act like you know nothing, that's the one thing you're good at..."He thought, sighing in misery.
"Star...I'm so sorry..." He whispered to himself, hoping that he could find some way to get out of this mess he got himself in.
He just wished he knew how!
Meanwhile
With Star
She, Sam and Tucker were doing their best to hurry and leave no trace they were here in Colette's room.
Sam was acting as look out right now. After a while, she reported some good news.
"Okay, no sign of your mom's evil husband or the monster brat he raised..."The goth girl said, giving a thumb's up.
"He's too stupid and conceited to be considered evil..." Star responded.
"I guess so..."Sam admitted.
"Still, he raised Colette and we all know how she turned out..." Tucker said, blaming Jean-Puke for most of this mess.
"Good point..." Star and Sam agreed, remembering why they hated the former's stepfather.
They then spotted a new and expensive looking self portrait of Colette herself, wearing an even fancier dress and jewelry, making them sick to look at.
"Ugh, I forgot. Mom mentioned Colette commissioned A LOT of self portraits for her party, such a waste of money..." Star said, repulsed at the sight of them.
"And I thought Paulina was a narcissist..."Sam said, equally as repulsed.
"This girl outdoes her. She probably out does Pariah Dark as an egomaniac, and he's the ghost king..."Tucker said.
"Danny once mentioned that ghost zone has an actual king. But what was the deal with the whole Fright Knight, crown of fire and Ectosuit thing?..." Star asked, since he admits that there were still some questions he still had no answers.
"Long story, explain later..." Sam said.
Star nodded in response. They had more important matters to attend to right now.
"I might have heard something about this... I'll ask Boo later, when this is all said and done... and I put Colette in a body cast..."She thought, before her temper had risen as she glared at the portrait of her evil stepsister.
Infuriated from what Colette has done, and seeing her haughty smirk on the portrait, she needed something to take her anger out on.
Star decided to walk towards the portrait and grab the part with her face, tearing it off. Then, she started tearing off more pieces. Sam tried to stop her, but Tucker held his arm out to stop her.
"She needs this..." He said, knowing she must be angrier than usual.
After a few moments of inflicting damage on the vain portrait, Star tore off most of the portrait before going to something else.
"So…any idea of where to look for her laptop, besides tearing everything down?…"The goth asked, as Star was busy trying to rip open a plushie to check its innards for a clue.
"Yeah…"Star said before looking down to what was in her hands.
"But this is too therapeutic to not do…"She said, as she kicked anotherportrait of her step sister, leaving a gaping hole in it.
"And you're not concerned about getting in trouble?..."Sam leaned in, as the blonde girl kept vandalizing stuff.
"Are you?..."Star asked.
That was all Sam needed to hear as she jumped into the chaos with a smile.
"Eh, not exactly..." She said.
Besides, she couldn't get into anymore trouble with her parents if they found out anyway. Because of her dad's issues with her nana and her mom just being a snob, she was written off as a problem that needed to be fixed.
"Worst comes to worst, we can blame it on ghosts..." Sam said, as she broke a nearby lamp.
"Works for me..." Star said, as Sam tore an expensive looking top that belonged to Colette.
"Relieving, ain't it?..." Star asked, smirking.
"Definitely..." Sam responded, as she pulled out a black market and couldn't resist doodling over another of Colette us self pictured, adding, glases, horns and a mustache.
"Nice..." Star complimented, as she grabbed the market and did similar vandalism on more of her step sisters stuff.
Tucker blinked.
"Uh...guys..." He said but was ignored as they made their rampage happen.
The girl continued their destructive tour with the stuffed animals, graffiti and destroying clothes and other objects, ripping them to shreds as they searched for her laptop, secret book, diaries, and journals. It was almost like something out of a horror movie, except the fluff was more like snow.
"Nothing here. Closet!..."Star said, pointing to the closed door, kicking it open as she removed every designer dress, boots, and accessory from the large closet, not caring if she scuffed, scratched, or smashed anything.
Sam took a more relaxed method, falling backwards as she tore a rack of dresses off their hangers. Collars and straps were stretched as she reached the ground, letting go as the clothes were ruined beyond wear.
"I know we're doing this to help Danny, but can we do this again sometime?..."Sam said softly.
"After Colette's latest stunt? We'll make it a monthly holiday..."Star said.
"Totally..." Sam said, high-fiving high-fiving only for Tucker to fake cough to get their attention.
"Sorry to interrupt, and by interrupt, I mean REMIND you WHY we're here in the first place!..." Tucker reminded.
Both of them froze in place.
"Oh, right. Sorry, this was TOO fun..." Star said, while Tucker raised a brow.
He then turned to Sam, who shrugged.
"What can I say, when she is right...she's right..." Sam said.
"Try and find her laptop or diary, anything we can use as evidence..." Star said.
"Right..."Sam and Tucker said.
Tucker got to work, while Star began rifling through Colette's drawers and shelves. Sam then went to the closet, seeing what looked suspicious inside.
"I think I found something..." Sam said.
"What is it?..." Star asked, as she approached.
"It feels like paper. Maybe it's a diary or whatever but it's stuck behind something. I can't get it.." Sam said, as she tried not pull it out.
Star came over to help prying it loose, but soon recalled what might be in there and it was horrifying.
"Not in here!.." Star said, but it was too late.
Sam let out a scream of disgust, alerting their other friend.
"WHAT?!..."Tucker asked, worried they might have gotten caught.
Sam had opened the door, seeing the doctored pictures of Danny and Colette in wedding garb and covered in hearts. The sight of it made Star furious and Sam uncomfortable.
"It's a creepy love shrine to Danny!..." Star answered, looking sick just looking at it while Sam was trying not to puke.
"Okay, this is gonna require years of therapy..."Sam said, looking ill.
"Oh, please. Try being forced to see her literal DREAM MARRIED LIFE! Now that will require therapy!..."Star argued.
"Well, the only therapist we could tell this to without getting arrested is Jazz..." Sam added.
"I'm not exposing her to this! I just want to erase it from my memory!..." Star said, pointing at this horrible image.
Even worse, she sees that her step sister UPDATED it, and added photos of him as Danny Phantom.
It also included a vision board of Colette's dream wedding to Danny, the prices of the stuff she wanted were insane and clearly worth more than the Fenton home.
"She's a complete maniac! And who did she think she was? A princess? Oh, who am I kidding?! She'd probably want Danny to take over France and crown her queen..." Star grumbled with a shudder, holding onto herself to keep her from shaking too much.
"Star?..." Tucker asked in a hesitant voice.
"I wanna say I'm fine... but I'm not..." Star said, as she punched the bridal image of Colette, dealing a hole in the picture.
"Any chance we can use THIS to counter blackmail her into leaving Danny alone?..."Sam asked.
"Doubt it, Colette converted her own locker to a shrine like Paulina. So, she clearly feels no shame..."Star said, angry to know how she works.
They kept looking for something, anything they can use.
"We have to hurry. Who knows when Jean-Puke or my mom could return..."Star said, determined to find evidence and free her man.
One way or another.
"Worse comes to worse... I'll throw her into the Ghost Zone myself!..."She thought angrily.
After a long while of searchibg, Star was beginning to fear the worst, until someone spoke up.
"I think I found something we can use!..." Tucker said.
Star turned her head quickly.
"Show me!..." She said, wanting to see what he found.
Elsewhere
Jack and Maddie had just arrived home after a frustrating afternoon.
They had tried talking with Lancer and Ishiyama again, but was met with no success...partially due to her husbands bumbling leading to an accidental ecto blast shattering a nearby window but that is besides the point.
Now, they awaited the phone call from their lawyer, who also happened to be Jonathan
"What's taking so long?!..." Maddie said impatiently!
She paced their living room, impatient and afraid for her daughter's future while her husband tried to be helpful.
"Don't worry, Maddie…"Jack said, as he placed a large hand on his wife's slender shoulder.
It was like a comfort blanket as the mother leaned into the hand, as he kept trying to comfort her!
"We'll catch the ghost responsible for all this…"He said with determination.
Maddie rolled her eyes.
While sometimes her husband's obsession with ghosts could push even her limits of involvement of the supernatural with real life, it was nice to see the man at least still focused on their main concern.
"Jack, it's sweet what you're trying to do, but I don't think ghosts are involved this time…"Maddie said.
After all, It didn't make sense for a ghost to target Danny's friends, girlfriend and ex-girlfriend specifically, and in such an unusual manner too.
" Our kids have no involvement with our ghost hunting activities, so it couldn't be a grudge or an obsession..."She tried to point out.
However, her husband didn't seem to get that yet and continued to insist his theory.
"Of course they are!…"Jack stood tall with his hands on his sides. "Only a ghost could make such false evidence without a sound…."He said.
"You are aware that making false evidence is a thing human criminals do, right?..." Maddie asked.
"It is?..." Jack asked in surprise.
"Yes..." Maddie said, sighing.
She loves this man with all of her heart, but sometimes he could be clueless.
"Let's just hope we hear some good news soon..." Maddie responded, while her husband tried to be optimistic for her sake.
"Don't worry, Maddie. Between us, Johnathan, Solene, Ida's lawyers and Maurice and Angela's lawyer, the kids will be back in school and this will all be a bad dream..." He said.
"You called Ida?..." Maddie asked.
"Of course, I called Ida. Those two snobs who are technically Sams parents aren't going to help..." Jack growled, still not happy with how those two had talked to him and to their daughter.
"That's true. Heck, with how often Sam showed up here over the years, it feels like she's been one of our kids more than Jeremy and Pamela's..." She agreed, not approving their parenting.
That's when the phone rang, alerting them.
"I'll get i-..."Jack didn't finish his sentence as Maddie jumped over him, pushing his head down in the process.
" Or, you'll get it..."He said, as his agitated wife picked up the phone.
Seeing it was Johnathan, she answered in a panic.
"YES?!..." Maddie answered impatiently.
"Johnathan?! What's t-" Her smile dropped. "Oh... oh I see..." She went, sounding more and more upset with each second.
"Mads?..." Jack asked, wondering what's wrong.
"One second, let me put you on speaker phone..." She said, as she did just that.
"Repeat that again, Jack is listening now..." She said, upset at the news.
"Hey Johnathan, do you have any news?..." Jack asked, but had a bad feeling now
"Some good and some bad..." Johnathan said, sounding furious.
"The good news being we've leaned on the school board and the superintendent enough that the kids can go back to Casper by next week..." He responded.
"What's the bad news?..." Jack asked, knowing there is a catch.
"That the kids would have to their classes in 'in school suspension!...'" Johnathan said with a growl.
"What?! Why?! The kids are innocent!.." Jack yelled.
"I know that but the authorities don't. Its complete madness! The district's lawyer says that while the evidence is circumstantial, we're biased towards our children and we have no proof that they DIDN'T do it!..." He said, sounding furious at that.
"That slimy ambulance chasing snake!... Jack shouted angry, before he recalled who he wad talking to.
"No offense, J-man..." He added quickly, apologizing to Johnathan.
"None taken, this guy lives up to the stereotype about lawyers, which is why I never liked him..." Johnathan said, agreeing with Jack.
The lawyer continued to give info and inform them of their options.
"I have a friend in the police forensics lab who's looking over the photos. However, he says it'll take till Monday..." He said.
"Which is the deadline for when we need proof of the kids innocence..." Maddie said, worried now.
"I'm trying to get in contact with the school superintendent to help. Hopefully he is less unreasonable than those so called educators that run that school..." Jonathan said, still furious at this injustice.
"Honestly, I'm starting to agree with your ex-wife about finding a private school for the kids..." She added, sounding bitter and somewhat hoping it was a school with better teachers.
"Even if they went to a different school at this point, this mess will follow them. Let's just focus on clearing the kids names first, and then I will personally deal with those fools myself..." Johnathan grumbled.
"I see... thanks for the update..." She said before hanging up.
"I can't believe this!..." Jack said, shaking his heqdm
"I know that it's... not too hopeful, Jack. If we don't show proof of our Jazz's innocence soon... this is going on her permanent record! This'll ruin her chances of getting into a prestigious university! You know how that has been her dream since kindergarten! We can't let that happen!..." Maddie cried out.
"So... what should we do?..." Jack asked.
"Let's be calm and sensible parents..." Maddie said calmly before taking out a blaster. "Hunt the vandal down and make them confess! And if they're not a ghost, we'll fix that! We'll deal with Chief Boyle later!..." Maddie said, as she kicked open their door and rushed outside to search for the crooks.
Even Jack was worried about how far Maddie would go but he also couldn't resist how awesome she was.
"Man, that's hot..." He said, loving her even more.
He quickly grabbed his own blaster and followed her.
Meanwhile
Jack and Maddie weren't the only ones who wanted to clear the kids names.
Star's grandparents were now meeting with Mr. Lancer and Principal Ishiyama. They were here to defend their granddaughter.
"You listen here! Our little girl would never do anything of the sort!..." Joy went.
"This is a frame job straight out of something a movie villain would do!..." Kirk said in anger.
"Mr. Strong, calm down..." Ishiyama said.
"Don't tell me to calm down! Ever! This is an injustice! My granddaughter and her friends wouldn't do this and you being the educators should have verified your "anonymous tip" before talking about suspension and expulsion!..." He said, not believing their stupidity.
"My husband is right. Seriously, listen to us! Star is no thief!..." Joy said, slamming her fist into the table.
"Mr. Strong, we have been investigating for weeks. This is not something that came out of the blue..." Principal Ishiyama said for what felt like the millionth time today.
"What are you blathering on about?..." Joy demanded .
"Graffiti on our walls, midterms answer keys, stolen funds from our safe stolen and the only reason Miss. Testlaff didn't call the police when her car was stolen was because she was going to donate it to the charity car crush at the hospital. It was a classic model too..." She said.
"A what?!..." Joy asked.
"You pay money to smash an old junker..." Kirk explained to his wife before turning to the principal.
"Look, I'm sorry you've had a problem with a juvenile delinquent but why are you so sure it's our granddaughter and her little friends?..." Joy asked.
"And how are you sure that it's not?..."Principal Ishiyama asked.
"I myself am a parent. I can understand the need to defend your child or grandchild in your case. However I'm also a principal and I've seen kids trick their parents into defending them over stuff that they did. I'm sorry. I do not want to suspend or expel anyone but until evidence comes up, I will go through with it..." She said.
Joy and Kind were angrier now.
"What you are doing is looking for a SCAPEGOAT, not justice!..." Kirk said, calling it as it was.
"I'm sorry... but until further evidence arrives, your granddaughter and her friends are the prime suspect..." Principal Ishiyama stated.
"Don't give me the "I'm sorry" malarkey! You just want to get rid of the students who don't score touchdowns or have parents with deep pockets who'll pay to look the other way when their kid breaks the rules!..." Joy shouted, offending the educator.
"Mrs, Strong, enough! That is completely uncalled for and complete ignorance!..." Ishiyama said, insulted.
"What's ignorant is that you don't seem to get how weak the evidence is or that you let students get picked on for the flimsiest reasons!..."Joy snapped, before turning around.
"Where are you going?!..."Ishiyama demanded.
"I would stay but I want to avoid causing bodily harm!..." Joy shouted before angrily marching out of the principal's office.
Her husband followed her.
"Mrs. Strong, come back here!..." Ishiyama shouted but was ignored.
"Joy!..." Kirk said, while his wife pushed the doors out of the school with such force and angrily marched outside.
"This was a total waste of time. I never thought I'd be saying this but Stella's boarding school idea isn't looking so upsetting right now!..." Joy said, furious at Ishiyama.
"Joy…"Kirk tried.
"Don't tell Stella I agree with her on something..." She added quickly.
She and her ex daughter in law were in a shaky truce, but she still had her moments of relapse.
"I won't, since I'm agreeing with our gumdrop and think Stella's step-kid is behind all this…" Kirk said.
"I wouldn't be surprised since she's never been pleasant. Come on, we need to talk to Johnathan..." She said grabbing her keys and looking ready to hurt someone.
"At least let me drive!..." Kirk said, wanting to keep vehicular manslaughter to a zero today.
"Fine… I might break the wheel anyway…"Joy said still in a bad mood.
This kept getting worse and worse for all trying to help Star and the others.
"This is SO not what I had in mind when we moved here to Amity Park! We are suppose to spend our golden years reunited with our son and grandchild, bond as a family again and watch her grow up as a lovely young woman! Not watch a bunch of idiots ruin her and her friends lives!..." Joy said, wishing they could do more to help.
"I know, Honey. I know, but right now we gotta stay calm and gather all our attention and focus on helping granddaughter and her friend's...and NOT hit anything on the road..." Kirk said, as they entered their car.
"Right, and then we find those scoundrels and make them pay for framing them to begin with..." Joy said, as they drove off.
Elsewhere
Danny and Ember were still fighting.
And by "fighting", they were actually pretending to fight while Danny had an excuse to be away from his slave driver and also a convenient way to vent his frustrations.
"Rock on, Baby Pop!..." Ember said as she shot another musical note at him.
"Thanks, but I'm more interested in a slow dance..."Danny said as he dodged it.
"If you insist!..." Ember said as she got close.
She and Danny grasped each other's hand, squeezing tightly as they tried to push the other.
"Can't believe this is more fun than being with Colette, and this one involves actual bodily harm..." He thought.
"Any ideas how many minions the brat with extensions gave the dirt on you to?..." Ember asked quietly while they grappled.
"Why would you think I'd know that?..." Danny asked.
"People like her also gloat..." She pointed out while Danny rolled his eyes.
True, he'd expected for her to let something slip during all her gloating but she was surprisingly tight lipped and smart about it.
"No idea. She's been too busy trying to turn me into her snobby future husband and talking about me getting emancipated so we can run away to France together that and insulting just about everyone I like, including her baby brother..." Danny said bitterly.
"When you say "baby brother", do you mean just her little brother or an actual baby?..." Ember asked.
"Actual baby, he's the one Walker kidnapped..." Danny answered.
Ember looked speechless for a second, before she frowned.
"Wow, that's messed up..." She said, disgusted as she then got an idea.
"You know...if you want...all it'd take is one fire blast and she'd be the Unworld's problem. Can I?..." Ember asked. "All you'd have to do is look the other way..." She added with a wink.
"I'm not Walker or Vlad. I don't deal with my problems by making a body count." Danny said.
"Seriously? After everything she is done and is probably planning on doing?..." Ember questioned, while Danny groaned.
"Beieve me when I say that I can't stand het but I've seen where that kind of thinking leads to and its never pretty. So, sorry but I can't look the other way..." The ghost boy said.
Flashbacks of his evil self flashed through his mind, along with his promise. A promise to never become that, no matter what.
Ember nodded.
She didn't like it, but she also didn't feel the desire to waste that brat since she didn't feel like she was worth that much energy...unless a certain someone put her up to it.
"You're too noble, Baby pop..."She conceded.
"I try to stay that way..." Danny said, while the ghostly rockstar rolled her eyes.
Knowing this can't last forever, Ember groaned as she decided to spell it out for him.
"Look. The techno geek, the goth and your girl are looting the brat's room for dirt while your ex and your sister are with the witch you recruited. So play along with the brat until she lets something slip..." She said quietly, clearly hating that this has to end soon.
"Best news I heard all day..." Danny said, smiling in appreciation.
"Remember this when I take over the world and make you my king. I'll at least let you hang out with them." Ember stated.
"While I won't let either of those things happen...Thanks Ember..." Danny said, before pausing.
"Wow, that's something I never thought I'd say..." He said while she sent him a sassy smirk.
"Hey, I never thought I'd be on the same side as you again and here we are..." She said.
"Mon Amore! Enough! We are leaving now! That flaming haired ghost better be taken care of already or else!..." A shrill banshee voice was heard, sounding impatient and maybe a bit unhinged.
"Seriously?! Just when I was actually started to unwind a bit..." Danny thought, while Ember frowned in frustration.
"Any chance we can just ignore her?..." Ember asked.
"You have ONE MINUTE before I send CERTAIN videos! So, you better show up! NOW!..." Colette added, while Danny sighed.
"That's a no..." Danny said bitterly, seeing his break was over now.
"Dang. And just when I thought the fun could never end…"Ember snapped her fingers, smiling wickedly.
Her hair flared up as the flames began to coil around her.
"Well, this is definitely way more fun than dating Colette..."Danny said, mentally adding another one to his list.
"True, but is that suppose to be a compliment? Since the bar for that seems to be pretty low..." Ember said.
"You're right, I'm sorry..." Danny said, admitting she had a point.
"Next time, I'll aim to knock her out before we fight…"Ember said, as she blew Danny a kiss and a wink.
"See ya later, Baby Pop. And next time, I'll be sure to remove any taste of you have of the red haired puppeteer, be it my lips, tongue, mouthwash, or possibly Brussel sprouts…"Ember joked!
"Don't know about the kiss, but if you're willing to bring food, can you bring a Mighty Meaty Meal? And the mouthwash in case Colette gets ideas…"Danny said.
The only heard retort was Ember giggling.
"I think I'm wearing you down..." He could hear her saying, before she disappeared into the blue flames.
Danny rolled his eyes. He decided to get back to this "date" he was on.
Danny landed ,quickly changing back to normal before going unfortunately back to Colette.
Once he did, he was surprised to see her scowl, het clothes stained with a bunch of stuff, her hair messed up and something pink on her face. Danny couldn't tell if it was makeup or melted strawberry ice cream.
"What happened to you?..." He asked, while she frowned.
"This horrid town happened to me, that's what!..." Colette scowled, as she muttered something in French that was probably a curse.
"It's almost as bad as when I followed you to New York..." She muttered in French.
"I'm not sure what you just said or how to feel, first annoyed you aren't concerned for me, or that you called me over her while I was ghost fighting. I'll feel all of the above..."He thought, glaring at her.
"Zhankfully we'll be leaving zhis city for France soon enough, Mon amour. I shall take sure of that..."She said before snatching Danny's hand.
"Come! We have to buy everything that witch destroyed and go to a salon to fix my perfection. I can't be seen like this..." She said, gesturing to herself.
"Oh joy, more shopping..."Danny muttered sarcastically, as he was dragged away by this witch.
"No complaining!..." Colette ordered as she pulled him by the wrist.
Danny sighed miserably, as his nightmare continued.
"Star..." He thought, missing her.
Elsewhere
Misty, Valerie and Jazz were laughing as someone had caught Colette's misery and put it on the internet on their cell phones.
That was Misty, using a spell to keep a floating camera invisible to record it and upload. They did all sorts of magic to keep her busy while Danny was with Ember but they had to end it since they had their own respective tasks to get back to.
Still, they couldn't resist uploading her humiliation and using Misty as magic to keep it anonymous.
"I am starting to love magic..." Valerie said, laughing.
"It has its moments..." Jazz said before recalling what was used in the spell.
"Though I'm not sure how comfortable I am with elephant hair as a magic ingredient..."She said, looking uncomfortable.
"Don't worry, it came from an elephant who died a peaceful death..." Misty explained. "Otherwise, it's useless for spells..." She added.
"Wait, so... stuff like that is important for animal parts?..." Valerie asked, before Misty nodded.
"Why didn't you mention that before?..." Jazz asked.
"Valerie told me it was a initiation thing, the new guy pulls a prank on the old guy..s." Misty explained, while Jazz sent her a look.
"Is that not a thing?..."She asked, while the red haired frowned in annoyance.
"No, it isn't... She's technically not even part of the group..." Jazz said as she sent a look to her brother's ex, who shrugged.
"I told her that before the Colette thing happened. How was I supposed to know we'd have a crisis?..." Val asked.
Jazz made a face contorted with annoyance.
"Have you not paid attention in the last six months?!..." Jazz asked, looking annoyed.
"Fair point..." Valerie admitted.
"Lets just go finish our tasks, and hope that Star and the others found dirt on that walking nightmare..." Jazz said.
"Right..." Val and Misty said, knowing what is at stake here.
They had to help save Danny and clear their names, and as fast as they could, before the overly confident and snobbish fake redheaded witch starts planning for a wedding.
Otherwise, it was goodbye to him and their freedom forever.
Later
At the Nasty Burger
The A-Listers were having a bite to eat. Kwan, despite how lousy he was feeling, had joined his friends due to Dash's insistence.
As they ate, they gossiped over something. Such as Casper highs "newest couple" and the drama happening with the schools least liked students.
"So... looks like Fenton has finally wised up and went to Colette..." One of them said, though the jock didn't look like he cared about it.
Kwan coughed up his drink, something they noticed.
"Kwan?..." Dash asked with mild concern.
Kwan cough up his soda after pounding his own chest before raising his hand up quickly.
"S-Sorry! Went down the wrong pipe..." He went quickly.
They waited to see him alright before resuming.
"And his friends?..." Dash asked.
"Ditched them..." Dale said.
"Wait... really?..." Paulina asked, sounding surprised to hear that.
"Yup..." Dale said, while the other popular kids looked unsure how to respond.
"I gotta say, it's honestly weird what's been going on…"Dale said, as he bit down on his food. "I mean, losers or not, who turns their back on life long friends like that?…"He said, sounding disapproving even if he didn't like those guys.
"Not Fenton. Those losers stick together no matter what…"The redhead jock with braces commented.
Dash slammed his fist on the table with enough force to shake it. His face contorted, baring teeth as he growled at them.
"Stop feeing sorry for Fenton or his loser pals! I don't wanna even think about those dorks!..."He ordered.
"I feel sorry for anyone who dates Colette. That girl's nuttier than a bag full of squirrels..." Dale said.
"True..." Dash said, not understanding how Colette actually got Danny to date her..
"Finally wised up, huh?..." Dale asked, smirking.
"I mean... I'm around her all the time. I should been her boyfriend. Even temporarily..." Dash grumbled.
"I stand corrected..." Dale muttered.
"Hey, I might not dig her anymore but its the principle of the matter. Girls are suppose to choose ME over Fenturd, not the other way around!..." Dash said, his ego still bruised from her rejection.
Kwan had been silent, stuffing his face. Keeping to himself allowed him some space, but guilt was building up faster than the food that was digesting in his stomach. His eyes darted around the table.
Paulina was mindlessly poking her fork repeatedly. For all her discontent, she hummed a tone that seemed unexpectedly curious. Her ears wiggled as the conversation continued.
"Where is he now?..." Paulina asked.
"With Colette. Last time I checked..." Another jock said.
"Colette? That doesn't seem... right..." Paulina said, frowning.
"What do you mean?..." Steve asked.
"Look, Dash. You hate Fenton. I hate Fenton. But come on, man. Don't you find it weird he left his friends for Collette?…"Paulina asked, looking the quarterback straight in the eye.
"Save it…"Dash said, as he held a hand up. "Don't know what what's going on. Don't care. I want nothing to do with Colette when it involves Fenton…"He said.
"Well, now that she's got Fenton all wrapped around her, she'll probably want him to hang with us..." Paulina pointed out.
"That's just it..." Dale spoke up. "He didn't look like he was having fun with her..."He said.
"Huh?..."
"I spotted those two together on my way over here. He looked... miserable. More than when Dash stuffed him in his locker..." He pointed out.
"Really?..." Dash asked, and his friend nodded.
"Like Dale said, she's insane..." The braces wearing jock said.
"Yeah, I agree. Remember when I told you guys how she followed him to New York, acting like she was gonna kidnap him and force him to be her boyfriend..." Paulina added, having come to realize how unhinged she is.
"You don't think-..."
"He's been at school and the mall with her all day..." Dale said "So, I doubt he's been kidnapped but forced probably..."He considered.
"That sounds like her. She's even bossier than Tesslaff..." The braces wearing jock said.
"Then how did she actually get the loser to go out with her?…"Paulina spoke
Like a bolt of lightning, her soft tone commanded the attention of the table.
Kwan started to sweat as he choked on a piece of his food. One of the kids patted him on the back as he coughed the piece out.
"T-Thanks..." He said in a low voice.
"Like think about it. Star left to be with that loser, but little Miss Everything-is-better-in-France never did anything to get his attention, and she's been going crazy…"Paulina put down her fork. "I can't believe I'm saying this, but I think Collette went too far with something…"She said, sounding uneasy.
"Define too far..." Dash said.
"The kind that would get her arrested..." Paulina said.
"So... what are you saying?..." Dash asked.
"If she did do something like that... I say we cut her out of the A-List..." Paulina said, not wanting a criminal in their group.
"Yeah... and she'll only come back if she begs to be my girlfriend!..." Dash went.
"We're not that willing to make her suffer..." Paulina scoffed, showing how much she hated the idea of dating Dash.
"Hilarious..." Dash said. "I only wanna do it so I can reject her this time..." He said, still holding a grudge against her.
"I'm serious when I think she went too far. Its one thing to pull pranks on nerds and make them do our homework, but I don't wanna risk jail time through association if the cops get involved..." She said, pointing her fork at them.
"But if she did do something like that, shouldn't we tell someone?..." Steve asked.
"Because we have no proof, and this is just gonna look like gossip if we tell the adults. Heck, for all we know, maybe Fenton is dating her by choice and we'll look like loons. I am not going to get in my trouble with my familia thanks to her. At least if we had proof, we could at least get rid of her for good but we don't..." Paulina pointed out, crossing her arms.
"Too bad no one knows something, if they did, it make this easier..." Dale muttered loudly.
Meanwhile, Kwan got up, laughing nervously.
"I just remembered... I gotta go to the bathroom... not in any weird way..." He said, running away.
He ran into the boys room, locked himself into a stall and before he knew it, the sounds of hyperventilation could be heard.
Once he was done, the anxious and guilt ridden boy was walking out with his knees acting like they'd break apart with each step.
"What am I gonna do?!..." He said in grief, as tears threatened to fall from his eyes.
Even his fellow A-listers see Colette is a maniac and think she is going too far, Especially Paulina, who probably hated her the most within the a-list.
If they knew of his involvement, they'd turn on him too.
It was a nightmare!
He wanted Star back, but even if she would accept him, he can never enjoy how it happened. If he kept quiet, she'd be miserable forever. If he told the truth, she'd hate him forever.
Although she would not hate him more than he himself already does.
Kwan soon left the bathroom, and made a quick excuse to leave, no longer having an appetite. They paid no mind to it, nor that he was sweating like he were in the sun for hours.
"How do I fix this?..."He thought urgently, looking as though if he said nothing, Star and Danny's lives would be ruined forever.
He knew that he messed up. Big time.
What to do now?

Here are my responses to your questions:
1) I liked how he was defeated in his debut episode.
2) Sorry, no spoilers. I guess that we will have to wait and see what happens.
3) I think he would find it cool.
4) While Colette is sincerely attracted to Danny, she only THINKS her feelings are love. Her true feels are just an obsession.
5) Her biggest fear is melting again, her other fear is Vlad.
Intexplosion R8: I think even Dark Danny wouldn't want to be around Colette either, due to finding her obnoxious.
Guest:
1) I wanna focus on Blackmailed, Hot Scroll arms and a few other fics first

6) I think Future Vlad considered destroying Danny, but chose to take out the time medallion instead in the end.
7) Spectra probably knew they were helping Danny and decided to kill two birds with one stone by "helping them" at the same time.
8) I will consider it. Thanks for the suggestion.
9) I will consider it. Thanks for the suggestion.
10) I think Tucker either wants to become a politician or an engineer. Sam might become an environmental biologist.
