Chapter 1: Prologue

Rage…

Anger…

Hurt…

Understanding…

Confusion…

His head was filled with a mixture of emotions none of which he could sort out. He was finally on his earth.

His home.

And now that he was here he was going to save his father against the Spot, and against the Spider Society if he had to. His mind wandered to a certain blonde and her sky-blue eyes, he remembered how red and puffy they looked. As if she was hurting as much as he was, he shook his head, only trying to remember the pain her betrayal caused him. He didn't want to sympathize with her of all people.

" Shit thinking about either topic ain't helping me right now, I…I need…to…"

His breathing became labored as if each breath was suffocating him. He clutched his chest gasping for air. He lost focus on swinging and he soon found himself flying and slamming into a billboard.

His chest.

It ached.

He felt as if someone was repeatedly stabbing… hacking into his heart. Each breath became tighter until he passed out from exhaustion. His last thought crawling back to the blonde who had captured his heart for almost the past 2 years.

'Why Gwen?'

And he passed out.

Little did he notice he was being watched the entire time, by two figures. A beautiful woman with blonde hair and a muscular man with dark skin.

"Let's take this kid back to the village." The woman said.

Timeskip: 2 hours later

Consciousness returned once more to our Afro-Latino spider-hero. Immediately, his senses expanded, taking in his surroundings. He noticed his wounds from his fight with Miguel had been patched up. But he was dressed in the same clothes.

As Miles slowly woke up, he heard people talking in low voices, he couldn't make how what they were talking about or how many there were, but he could tell that one of them was female and the other was male.

When he slowly opened his eyes, he found himself looking up at the ceiling of a cave and could feel the heat of a large fire nearby and felt a blanket covering him.

"What's going on? The last thing I remember, I was trying to get home and I was…" thought Miles before he jumped up a start, as he remembered what he saw before he fell unconscious.

When he stood up, he saw two people sitting opposite him, who had now turned to look at him when he sat up.

The man could be best described as eccentric. Dark skin, overly-muscled, and his slicked-back blonde hair was kept in place by a Hidden Cloud headband. He went shirtless, opting to wear just the Cloud flak-jacket held in place by thick, red rope. He wore baggy pants, with white legwarmers that had red shin guards built in, with fingerless gloves of a similar design adorning his hands. The kanji for iron was tattooed on his right shoulder, and a tattoo of bull horns stood proudly under his left eye. His eyes were covered by oval-shaped glasses, a white scarf was wrapped around his neck, and he had a goatee. Seven red sword hilts peaked out from behind.

The woman had long, straight blonde hair, tied with bandages, and dark eyes. More bandages were wrapped around her legs and arms. Fingerless gloves covered her hands, and rosary beads were wrapped around her left arm. She wore a dark blouse with a purple chest, and loose-fitting pants. There was designs similar to clouds on her left pant-leg, and on her right breast. A kunai holster was strapped to her right thigh, and a red belt was tied around her waist.

"Where the hell am I? Who are you people, are you with the Akatsuki? What am I doing here? And why the hell am I in my underwear?" cried Miles in panic, as he feared that these people were with the Spider Society. While at the same time, he realised that he was wearing nothing but his shorts underneath the blanket.

"There is no need two worry, you're safe, you're among friends here." spoke the young woman, in the hope that Miles would settle down.

"W-W-Wh-Who are you people?" Miles asked where he kept his back to the end of the small cave behind him, while keeping his guard up. Since he was unsure, who these people were and if they were friend or foe.

"My name is Yugito Nii. I'm a chunin." The woman spoke. "And this is my friend, Killer B."

"Yo, kid! The name's Killer Bee! I hope that in the future you can be friends with me!"

Miles stared at the self-proclaimed 'Killer Bee' with a disturbed expression.

Miles's eye twitched at the rap and being called a 'kid.'

The woman shook her head at the display, and punched her friend in the ribs. Killer B fell to the ground gasping his stomach in pain.

"Bee, if you keep that up, he'll never have any respect for you," Yugito said, then she turned her attention back to Miles.

"How did I get here? The last thing I remember was collapsing on to the ground." said Miles.

"B and I found you, when we were returning to our village collecting some supplies. When we found you, we decided to bring you back here and nursed you back to health." answered Yugito.

"Your village?"

Yugito nodded, she stood up and offered Miles her hand.

Miles tentatively looked at her hand but decided to trust this after all, she did save his life and his Spider-Sense wasn't going off, so he decided to take the risk.

Yugito led Miles outside the cave and what Miles saw next was one of the most amazing things he had ever seen in his life.

Miles Morales was staring at a large village built into an entire mountain range.

He saw homes and buildings carved into the mountains. The 'ground floor,' as he decided to call it, was a twisting walkway built around the towering stone structures. Carved out of some of the mountains were little shops and restaurants, and built around the tops of the mountains were glass structures, similar to observation decks.

Yugito gazed at the towering mountains with pride, meanwhile Miles only had one thing to say…

"Where the hell am I!?"
