"Today, I would like to announce my engagement, to Lux crownguard!" You gave a toast as everyone clapped at the huge rectangle dinner table. "Now some of you already knew, but for the rest of you that aren't immediate family, this news may be a shock to you, we kept it under wraps as best as we could." You let the claps continue for a few more seconds before asking everyone to stand to join in your toast. "Our marriage is already planned and will be tomorrow, we have been engaged for a year, I love this woman with all my heart." You bent down to give Lux a kiss as she blushed at you. She kissed you back with the same passion as when you first met her two years ago.

What a time to be alive huh? Being a poor guy to marrying such a beauty as Lux and being accepted into royalty. You couldn't even believe this shit man, at first the family didn't like her choice, you didn't really have any goals or passions, but damn did you make a good living for yourself. Being one of the best mechanics in Piltover, it helped you stay alive. Did you like being in this line of work? Hell no, but did it keep food on the table? Of course.

Now, you don't have to go back to the Hextech shop, now... you are marrying into the richest place in Valoran. Life is good shit... No more hard wo-

"Can I speak to you in private?" Your thoughts were interrupted by your red haired best friend Violet.

"Sure, Lux I'll be back." You kissed Lux on the cheek as you followed Vi out of the dinner room into a side room. Vi turned on the lights as you took a seat in front of the small table. The room you were in was a small one, had two windows that showed the dark skies outside. Other than a table in the back and a few chairs, the room was empty.

"I'm happy for you." She started, her face didn't seem happy though. She was dressed+ for the occasion, she prefers boy clothes most of the time so she wore a black tux but that didn't take from how lovely she looks. Your best friend was always fine, and over the years her body didn't let up, You stole so many looks when you hung out with her, she doesn't know this though. "Stand up." She told you. You rose up and she got closer to you. Vi was the same height as you, it was a little intimidating but she always had that aura, she is the best cop in Piltover and served in Piltover's maximum security prison.

She was a gangsta bitch, but she was always caring for you. Vi licked her lips and finally spoke, "You a fucking bitch." She said. "But I'm happy for you."

Damn, that hurt. You tried to speak but she shushed you. "Don't say shit. I'm not done." You respected her and waited for a response. "Am I not enough for you? Do you understand how much I love you?"

Love? Did you miss a page in yall relationship? Wasn't it platonic? Are you just stupid?

"I'm always in your corner, supported you with your business, taught you the ropes." She paused and slid her hands in her pockets but kept those grey eyes on you. "Is it my past? When I was selling drugs for Silco? Is it when I got locked up for killing some Piltover cops? I changed bro, I got Cupcake to get me a job as her right hand man, I changed."

Those days were tough on you, the days where she would go missing for months and not respond to you. Those days where she ask for money but never pay you back.

The days where... she would sleep with you... Don't hurt me... She would whimper when Silco abused her.

"Vi I... didn't know. You felt this way." You finally responded.

"I didn't tell you to speak." She snapped back.

Silence passed as she opened up even more. "The nights where I cuddled with you, the nights where I was abused. You were always there." A tear fell from her right eye. "I didn't treat you the same, I was mentally fucked, when you showed me care I lost it and didn't know how to handle it. All I know is hate and aggression."

...

"I killed Silco, helped my sis fight against Piltover, went to prison, got out, came straight to you, a changed woman."

She's right. She did do that, it felt good to have a stable whatevership yall had.

"You visited me in prison, sent me money while struggling to make ends meet on your end. I came out, got a job paying a good check, and helped you come up as a man. I thought I was doing right by you."

Shit.

"Instead you go love some princess ass bitch. Instead you go marry some blondie goodie two shoes, when a real woman is right here." You can't lie on that quote, even if Violet was in the streets, she always stood her ground and believed in what she thought was right. It's not her fault her upbringing was the way it was. "I know what make you hard, I know what you want in a woman, I know what you like, this Lux bitch is the farthest from what you like. Trust me."

You sighed at Violet, she isn't wrong, she knows you like the back of her hand but does it mean she's right? Is Violet the one you should marry?

Tell her... tell her why you didn't choose her, even if her feelings shocked you... tell her the reason why you didn't think Violet was good enough.

"Violet... I didn't know you had feelings for me, but you have to understand, no matter how much you tell me about the past, the reason why is simple." You paused because you know this is going to hurt her.

But it has to be done.

"Even if you told me how you felt back then I wouldn't... choose you. Yes... I feel something for you... but Violet... you aren't marriage material to me."

Damn. it had to be said. It hurts yes, but Lux filled the void Vi couldn't fill. Vi didn't show you that love until it was to late. Were you supposed to just sit there and... wait for her?

The second and third tear fell out of her eyes but she somehow kept that sexy smile. "You are a fucking asshole." She spat. She stopped and wiped her face. "It's fine. You belong to me and my love doesn't stop for you."

She's handling this well huh?

"Trust me, I know you Reader like the back of my fucking hand. You right I was shitty but I changed and I know just by looking at this fake blue eyed bitch, you will be with me sooner than you know it. I'll see you later baby boy." With that she left out of the room and left you with your thoughts.
