It is a beautiful sunny day at Starfell Valley with no signs of any danger to harm anyone in the present moment.
And who better to spend it than two people right now spending some time at Starfell Lake.
They are the Traveler Aether and the astrologist of Mondstadt Mona Megistus.
The two were out gathering elemental smiles to gather slime-like materials for something new to make. But not entirely sure what that is.
Aether just finished off two Pyro slimes using his Anemo power after Mona used her Hydro power to cool them off, collecting the concentrate in the process.
"Not bad, my disciple." Mona commented.
Aether chuckled. "Yeah. Looks like we got what we need."
Mona smiled, seeing Aether in good spirits after being asked by him as some kind of invite this morning when he saw her in low spirits from her astrology affairs, using their outing as a way to get her stress relief exercise.
But Mona would've thought it was some kind of "date", given that all the time she spent with him, the astrologist started to develop feelings for him in the romantic kind. But she would be too proud to admit them herself.
Mona didn't realize that while in her thoughts, Aether was staring at her from behind. The Traveler himself after spending time with Mona he too has feelings for the aspiring astrologist for not because of her beauty or personality, but more of her talent that is more helpful and her struggles. He is secretly aware she tries using some of her time to help find his sister but nothing comes up, almost as if Lumine's fate is unreadable like his.
It hurts him not knowing what Lumine is up to, but seeing Mona try and failing hurts a little more, not wanting anyone to get involved in his family business, but the many friends he has made in the world of Teyvat want to repay him for his kindness the best way each friend can, and Aether can't blame him for that.
Deciding to go for broke to make something clear, Aether walked over to Mona and came behind her with something in mind.
"If you wanted to make your feelings clear, you could've just said something." Mona explained, surprising Aether.
"Did you use your ScryGlass to figure that out?" Aether asked.
Mona giggled before turning around to face Aether.
"Nope. It was more of a woman's intuition." Mona answered.
"Besides…" Mona added, getting closer with one finger on his chest, making him blush.
"Don't think I haven't noticed all the times you were staring at me from behind without my consent." Mona teased.
Aether couldn't argue with that. But he's a boy with issues when it comes to girls.
Aether decided to hold Mona by the waist while she holds him by his shoulders and around his neck. Both were blushing, but didn't get nervous and leaned in for a passionate kiss that lasted for quite a while before letting go.
"Wanna spend more time here?" Aether asked.
"Don't we have to get these slimes back first?" Mona questioned.
"A few more hours here couldn't hurt. And we can try to help you get some Mora from a few commissions I have been asked to do not too long ago." Aether joked, getting a light slap on the shoulder from a blushing Mona.
"Very funny, my disciple." Mona said. But Aether didn't care, which Mona didn't mind at all.
The Master and Disciple, now a couple, decided to continue spending their time together at Starfell Lake with whatever they have in mind to spend their first date together.

"Where are those two?! I'm getting hungry!" Paimon complained, wailing her little arms as she is stuck with Albedo and Sucrose in their lab to figure out how to use the slimes Aether and Mona to bring back for them.
"They sure are taking their sweet time." Albedo said.
Sucrose was kinda burned out from coming up with ideas on how to use the slimes for whatever they seem to have planned.
Well, I say this one was a little bit shorter, but made sure it was cute anyway. Mona is quite the character and while astrology isn't my best forte, having it in the long run would come in handy to understand the stars.
I now have one more Aether one-shot in mind then have likely some announcements yet again, which is easier to get across through stories to keep people informed.
