Chapter 1: Arrival and New Adventure!

In a clearing of a forest in the Unova region, we see a young boy, 11 years of age, lying on his back, unconscious. His face befitting for a boy his age, although having a large scar on the left side of his eye, usually covered by his long blonde hair. His attire consists of a black leather jacket with flame decals on it, a yellow t-shirt with an upside-down triangle on it, bright orange fingerless gloves, red pants supported by a grey belt with a silver buckle, and blue hiking shoes with red laces on them. The boy began to stir back into consciousness, revealing dark green eyes. The boy sat up straight in a sitting position, pushing himself up with one hand and using his other hand to rub his head. "What happened?" The boy groaned. Soon, he started to stand up and look at the forest surrounding him. 'Where am I... who am I?' the boy questioned himself.

A glimmer of light soon caught his eye as he looked down to his right, seeing a rather strange sphere with white on the bottom, red on top, and a black line separating the two colors with a white button in the center. He also saw that there was a black grip with some launcher that has an orange base with a red top on it connected to the grip. The boy picked up the objects, took a closer look at the equipment, and soon found two claws on the bottom.

'I don't remember having something like this with me before, but I can't stop the feeling that this is somehow familiar to me?' The boy thought as he soon looked at the orb. "But I have never seen anything like this before." As the boy looked at the strange items, he did not know he was being watched. When the boy thought he was done with looking at the strange objects, he put the strange objects onto his belt (which surprised him how that sphere could easily be attached to his belt while also discovering that there was a holster for the long item). 'If I want to figure out who I am and how I got here, then I need to know if there are others that can help me out.' The boy thought with determination. Soon, he made his way to see if he could find anyone to help him.

Once the boy went deeper into the forest, he figured he could end up lost without knowing where to go. He looked around to see what could help him out, and then he came across a tree that was higher than all the others. He came up with the idea of climbing it to get a better view of the forest. So, he started climbing up the tree with no problem. "I didn't even know that I could climb this well!" He thought after climbing up all the way. After learning how well he could climb, he got a nice view from above: Lands of green filled with trees, some mountains covering the area. Above all, he can see a building in the clearing, knowing there must be someone there to help him. Soon, the boy was climbing down the tree and heading for the building, but when he was about to make a safe landing, one of the branches he was stepping on snapped and fell hard.

"Ow..." was all he could say after falling. Just when he was about ready to head out, he heard something coming from the bushes, suddenly being on guard. "Who's there?!" was all he could say as he didn't get a response back. Suddenly, a wave of energy came rushing at him, but he quickly dodged it before the impact could hit him. Soon, dust started to cover the area, and the kid was able to pick himself up as the dust began to clear. "What was that!?" He mentally screamed to himself as he now got a good look at what tried to attack him. it was something he had never seen before, and he was shocked to see what it was.

The attacker was not entirely human. It had sharp claws and red and grey armor. It narrowed its eyes at the boy as he tried to regain his bearings over the creature attacking him. "What are you?" he asked.

"Bishhhhhh-Arp!" The creature called out as he crossed his arms and swung its arms to make an X-shaped attack. Soon, the boy dodges the attack just as the attack can cut through some trees. After seeing what this thing could do, he made a break for it to see if it could get away from the creature as fast as he could while the attacker was right on his tail. 'What is that thing, and why is it attacking me?' The boy said to himself as the thing started attacking him again. He soon saw that the creature was beginning to make a strike attack, but suddenly, the boy dodged the attack by doing some fancy footwork to keep avoiding the repeating attacks. "Whoa! I didn't know I was that fast." He exclaimed as he dodged another attack, and the creature started getting tired. The boy soon took the tired creature as an advantage to get away as fast as possible.

Soon, the kid got far from his attacker and caught his breath. He figured that he was in the clear, but suddenly, he heard more rustling in the bushes. "Not again!" he exclaimed, ready to run for it again. When suddenly, he saw that it wasn't another one of the creatures, but a woman with blue eyes and pink hair styled to look like two hoops, wearing what appeared to be a pink hospital gown with a white apron, white stockings with pink shoes, and a hat that possibly works at the hospital. "Hello there, sir. Are you in need of assistance?" She asked calmly. "Thank goodness I found you; I am in need of dire help!" the boy exclaimed. "What seems to be the problem?" "I was attacked by this thing that seems to be wearing some kind of metal with blades sticking out and almost tried to cut me to pieces!" He shouted. Suddenly, the creature returned and started to fight again. "You've got to be kidding me! How were you able to find me that fast? The boy asked.

"Why is a Bisharp attacking you? They usually don't attack unless someone invades their territory," said the woman.

That's when the kid realized something. "I think I may have woken up in its territory without realizing it!" he exclaimed. Wait... What's a Bisharp?" he asked.

Before answering the question, Bisharp was ready to attack again when the boy stood before the woman and held his arms up in a cross. "Wait!" he shouted. Suddenly, Bisharp stopped in its tracks and canceled its attack. "I'm sorry that I ended up on your territory, but you have to believe me, I didn't know." He tried to reason. Bisharp looked into the boy's eyes and saw that he was telling the truth. But upon further inspection, he even caught a glimpse of a humanoid figure in armor wielding a sword surrounded by flames. Then, with the figure giving out a mighty roar, Bisharp took off without hesitation and out of fear, confusing the two. "What was that all about?" The boy asked. "I don't know, but it looked like it was scared when you tried to talk to it." The woman said.

"Anyway, I was wondering if I could assist any further?" The woman asked.

"Could I ask you some questions, if you don't mind?" He asked. "Of course." the woman replied. "Thanks. It's just that I don't seem to remember much when I woke up in the forest, so I was wondering if you could tell me where I am, what a Bisharp was, and know your name, please?" The boy asked. "Of course, my name is Nurse Joy, and I happen to be in the area from the Pokémon center," she said.

"Wait, what's a Pokémon?" The boy asked.

"You don't know what a Pokémon is!?" Nurse Joy exclaimed.

"Nope, sorry. I think I may have hit my head hard because I mostly can't remember a thing right now," the boy said.

"Well, is there anything that you do remember?" Nurse Joy asked.

"When I was getting attacked by this Bisharp, I just remembered that my name is Logan. Logan Rogers." Luke said.

"Well then, Logan, would you like to accompany me to the Pokémon Center?" Nurse Joy asked.

"The Pokémon Center? What's that?" Logan questioned.

"It's a place where you can heal your Pokémon and leave them so we can raise them." Nurse Joy explained.

"Wow! That's incredible. So does that mean that the Bisharp that tried to attack me is known as a Pokémon?" Logan asked.

"That is correct, and it seems we have arrived at our destination." Nurse Joy said.

Logan looked at the place and saw that it was a fair building with the letter "P" above the doors, which shared a similar color to the sphere he had found with him.

Once they took a step inside, Logan couldn't believe what he was seeing. There were so many creatures of different shapes and sizes. Logan felt like he was in a completely different world.

Logan soon encountered a cute, bipedal, pink, and cream creature with big blue eyes, big ears with curled extensions, and a white tail on its back. "Whoa, what kind of Pokémon is this?" he asked with amazement in his eyes. "This is my partner, Audino. She is a major help whenever I have my hands full," Nurse Joy said.

"Audino." Audino greeted.

"Now that we have arrived, may I please see your Poke Ball so that I might heal it?" Nurse Joy asked.

"My Poke Ball?" Logan asked, suddenly remembering the red and white ball he was carrying. "You mean this thing?" he asked after getting said item out in his hand.

"Yes, indeed," Nurse Joy reassured him as Logan gave her the Poke Ball. Let's have a look, shall we?" she asked as she placed the Poke Ball into the scanner to see if there were any problems until the results were finished, which made Nurse Joy look puzzled.

"That's odd." She stated.

Logan asked what the problem was while Nurse Joy explained: "It appears that the Pokémon inside seems to be healthy, but I can't seem to identify which Pokémon it is, and the Poke Ball seems to be in some kind of locking procedure, so I can't seem to know what's inside it."

"Really?" Logan questioned. "So how will I know what kind of Pokémon I have?"

"I don't know, but maybe you can find out if you can go on a journey and figure out more about yourself." Nurse Joy suggested. "So how do I do that?" Logan asked. "Well, you aren't far from Virbank City, so maybe you can start there." She suggested.

"That might work. Which way to the city?" Logan asked.

"It's Simple. All you have to do is go down the path from where we came from and then take a right on the fork," Nurse Joy explained.

"Thank you for the directions," Logan said as he soon set out on his journey, with little knowledge of the future.
