The following information is brought to you by the Hero Public Safety Commission.
We recently learned at the Hero Public Safety Commission that the illusive Man-Bat has gravely injured the Pro Heroes Midnight and Eraser Head. Up to this point, the Man-Bat had only been doing vigilante crimes but has now gone after Pro Heroes. Rest assured that we here at the HPSC are doing everything in our power to get this under control.
The identity of this criminal is currently unknown but the suspect is believed to be a mutant-type Quirk user with a Bat-like mutation. The following description is from the direct encounter with the Man-Bat from both Midnight and Eraser Head as well as a local middle school student by the name of Saito and his attacker Himiko Toga who managed to survive the attack. According to various eyewitness reports, the criminal is described as a humanoid bat creature standing at an estimated height of 185 to 226 centimetres (or 6'1 to 7'5) if not taller.
The Man-Bat is said to have long leathery wings for arms that span from an estimated 3 to 4.5 metres (or 10 to 15 feet), thin elongated and pointed ears on the top of its head, a snout filled to the brim with razor-sharp teeth, and two large bloodshot yellow pupil-less eyes the colour of amber, with a body covered head to toe in brown fur.
The Man-Bat also displays extreme acts of aggression and ferocity to just about anything with or without a pulse despite this the Man-Bat usually opts to ambush its victims and rarely fights one-on-one. However, this does not mean the beast is incapable of fighting as it has been shown to have incredible strength allowing it to shred open car roofs with relative ease and might be even stronger than that. When Eraser Head was in a confrontation with the beast he found himself being thrown around by his Binding Cloths like a rag doll.
It has been shown that the Man-Bat is willing to prey on people as a food source, mostly draining the blood of its victims like a vampire. After doing autopsy reports on its first victims it's believed that the Man-Bat has a bite force of over 4,000 PSI. For reference, the animal with the second strongest bite force is the Saltwater Crocodile with 3,700 PSI, we also speculate that the Man-Bat carries anticoagulants in its saliva allowing it to drink the blood without it clotting. This means that the Man-Bat can quickly and effortlessly tear into the victim's skin and immediately start draining their blood.
If you find yourself or someone has managed to survive the Man-Bat we advise you to seek immediate medical attention as you run the risks of prolonged bleeding, and increased risks of infection. For further detail follow these instructions on what to do if you've been attacked by the Man-Bat:
1. Apply Pressure to the Wound: Apply direct pressure on the wound with a clean cloth, tissue, or piece of gauze until bleeding stops. If blood soaks through the materials don't attempt to remove them just layer on more clean materials and continue applying pressure.
2. Clean the Wound: After making sure your hands are clean, carefully clean the wound with mild soap and warm water, ensuring to rinse thoroughly to prevent any potential irritation. Take care not to use hydrogen peroxide or iodine, as they can cause damage to the tissues.
3. Protect the Wound: Until proper medical attention is available, it is important to protect the wound from foreign objects to prevent additional irritation and reduce the risk of infection.
Numerous reports of the Man-Bat appearing in the night sky diving in and out of the cloud banks at incredible speeds have been documented. The average human can run at a speed of around ten to thirteen kilometres per hour. The Man-Bat can fly up to speeds of 32 to 40 kilometres per hour. If you or a loved one happens to see the Man-Bat we recommend calling the police and Pro Heroes. However, if you are unable to contact anyone Remain calm and alert and follow these instructions:
1. Hide and Stay Quiet: If you see the Man-Bat the best course of action is to hide in small spaces, its large size would be a hindrance in most small spaces but if you're hiding in an open space we recommend staying quiet and turn off all electronic devices as the Man-Bat has a superb sense of hearing just like any other bat.
2. Wear Thick Clothing: It is best recommended that you bundle up in as much clothing as possible or grab Kevlar vests if you can acquire them. Keep in mind this will not stop you from getting injured it will only slightly increase your chances of survival.
3. Use Your Quirk or an Improvised Weapon: We recommend this as a last resort measure and to employ extreme levels of caution and restraint when using either of them so as not to cause collateral damage. The Man-Bat's speed and size make it a difficult target to subdue and is most likely not possible to do so we recommend trying to hold it off until Pro Heroes arrive. Please remain calm and alert, do not panic.
Remember to lock all doors and windows to any large building, keep your children safe at home before the street lights come on, and if you have a mutant type Quirk that gives you the appearance of a small animal we recommend staying inside as long as possible and only going out when you need to. Remember Pro Heroes all over Japan, such as Miruko, Death Arms, Mount Lady, Kamui Woods Endeavour and of course All Might are all doing their part in keeping you safe from the Man-Bat and other villains that seek to harm you. This has been the HPSC and until next time, stay safe.
Hello everyone, I'm experimenting with a new short story project inspired by Analog Horror as a spin-off to "Of Leather Wings." I'm planning to adapt this into a video later on to expand my story and universe. I would appreciate your thoughts and opinions on what I've created so far.
