18. Chapter 18

Chapter 18: Endless Assault! Attuned Unite! And the Gravity Combo!

"Finally, the last session for today schedule is finished." Tojo Nozomi said with a tired sigh.

The purple haired idol sat on a chair in the studio dressing room, letting a small groan while doing a light stretch while sitting.

"Great work today, Tojo-san." Akizuki Ritsuko said with an amicable smile.

The girl set down a cup of tea for the other girl who take it after saying a quick thanks. Taking a sip, she let out a satisfied hum.

"Heh, as clumsy as you are, you really know how to make a soothing cup of tea." Nozomi said with a teasing smile. Seeing the other girl just bashfully nodded her head, the purple haired girl sighed while setting her cup down. "Ritsuko, I told you already, it good to be humble but there got to be a bottom line. That is why you get picked on so easily before you joined me." She chided.

In response, the young manager just let out a bashful chuckle hearing this. Despite the rough outlook the purple haired girl give out, the brown haired girl knew, that is her way of showing concern. Ritsuko has always been fascinated by idol, the way they captivated the audience with their stunning look and amazing song have inspired the ever timid girl. She has once harbored dream of stepping on the stage herself but the brown haired girl had decided that is impossible with her bland look and lack of confidence, instead she then turn toward the goal of supporting said idols in accomplishing her dream. After studying hard for quite some times, she has landed her first job as a manager. At first, she was very worried, the girl found out she basically hired to fill a spot until a more experienced manager can be found. After all, the one she was put in charge of was the rising star, Tojo Nozomi. In fact, many has speculated she could very well be able to eventually rival the famous Zwei Wing. Especially since right now one of its member is already hospitalized due to the Noises accident.

So it was understandable how nervous Ritsuko was when she first take the job, it doesn't help being so young and new in the field, many more experienced employee have used this chance to step all over the girl. However, to Ritsuko's surprise, not only didn't Nozomi act difficult to work with but with her around the rough treatment Ritsuko got have subsided. The brown haired girl soon realize, here is not just an idol with a pretty face, rather Nozomi has faced the tough side of this entertainment industry and step above it. With her own effort and hard work the purple hair gained her current status, it also mean she know her way around dealing with people and is not afraid to stand up for herself, and in extend for Ritsuko, her new manager. But to other, Nozomi still keep a stern appearance to Ritsuko, making sure the manager understand she need to focus on her work, don't be so timid which led to other easily belittle her. Really, it make Ritsuko feel like Nozomi is her manager sometimes.

It is no wonder, to Ritsuko, Nozomi's dream of aiming to be the top become her dream as well. Watching the purple hair practice and give it her all everyday, slowly reaching that number one spot filled her with joy. The hours of working through the schedule, numbers, preparing everything for Nozomi's performance feel like nothing to Ritsuko.

Thing would have been fine if it proceed like that, however, it changed when that person approached Ritsuko as she was on her way home.

"How sad, to watch a little bird flap its wing as hard as it can, knowing no matter how hard it try the sun will always be unattainable to it." A soft voice commented out of nowhere.

This jolted Akizuki in surprise, she is currently sitting at a train station, waiting for the last one. Usually this time around there is very little people hence any noises can be heard quite clearly, so she was able to hear every single words the stranger said.

"Is she talking to me?" Ritsuko wondered.

The girl didn't recognize the voice beside being able to tell it is a melodious female voice, so, out of curiosity she turned toward the voice.

"Woah?" Ritsuko muttered in surprise.

Flowing blond silky hair, a voluptuous figure can be seen despite being hide behind a long cloak, skin pure white and smooth. The woman sitting next the young manager deserve the word 'beautiful' in every sense of words, being someone from entertainment industry Ritsuko has seen her fair share of handsome man and pretty girl yet none of them even reach close to this woman's level. Not even Nozomi, as guilty as Ritsuko feel for thinking so, but it is the fairest assessment the girl can make in her mind. The girl was sure this seat next to her was empty so how come she didn't even noticed when someone taking a sit in it, let alone this woman that would have gather so many attention? Perhaps she is just that tired? But wait...

"Excuse me...did you just talk to me?" Ritsuko nervously asked.

The woman wear a big hat that slightly obscured her face's feature, but Akizuki was able to tell it is as perfect as the rest of the person. Her eyes gleam under the hat like jewel as she regarded Akizuki with a passing glance, despite this, the young manager can't help but feel the woman have somehow read her thoroughly with that one passing glance.

"I am just expressing my condolence for you and the person you held dear." The woman said, her voice soft and soothing with a tint of regret in it. "Try as she might Tojo Nozomi will always be behind Kazanari Tsubasa, that is a fact that will not change no matter how much effort the former put in."

Now this snapped Ritsuko out of the daze, nothing is more important to her than her idol's dream and to hear it so casually dismissed by a stranger? The usually timid brown haired girl feel a heat she didn't know she possess.

"Excuse me, but on what base did you make that statement?" Ritsuko asked sharply. "You have no idea how hard Tojo-san worked for this. At this rate, there is no reason her talent can't match up to that of the top!"

In response to the girl's robust, the blond haired woman, Fine, responded calmly.

"Oh you misunderstood, Akizuki-san, it was never about talent from the beginning. Kazanari Tsubasa and Amou Kanade possess all the help they need to always be at the top regardless who try to challenge them." Fine said dismissively. "If you don't believe me, well I have something interesting to show you." She said with an alluring smile.

The woman then presented a laptop to Ritsuko, who watched with mouth agape, for what the screen show her is the footage of Kazanari Tsubasa and Amou Kanade fight against the Noises using their Symphogear.

"And that seems to be what Akizuki Ritsuko able to fully recall." Ogawa Shinji said, reading from the report. "After that everything was kind of hazy to her, like she experienced a long dream."

"Hm, seems like the effect of being in contract with a Yummy can vary according to each person." Kazanari Genjuro said after listening.

Right now at the briefing room consist of the former two along with Tachibana Hibiki, Kazanari Tsubasa, Hino Eiji and Ankh are all listening to what the 2nd Division was able to find out after conducting an interview with Akizuki Ritsuko.

"That usually what a Mezool type of Yummy do to the host. Plus with Poseidon tinkering the effect was more severe." Ankh said, nodding in agreement. "Still, the real surprise is this Fine woman. She using the Yummy as if she is a natural born Greeed herself or something." He said with a scowl. "This woman, I just thought of her as a nuisance up till now but she might be more trouble than I thought." Ankh said begrudgingly.

"But whatever Fine planned we have crushed her plan one after another, right?" Hibiki said, trying to sound optimistic.

"The problem is we have been on the reaction side only." Genjuro said with a grim face, crossing his arms. "While you guys did a good job, we have only been dealing with the problem arise as the result of her actions, no it probably more precise to said a side effect only."

"True, the reason for targeting these people and using them as Yummy's host, her control over the Noises. In the end just what do this Fine want? What is her plan? We don't know any of it." Tsubasa said with a frown.

Hearing this, Hibiki's optimistic expression faltered to a more complicated one.

"Ankh, you are right. Fine really is a dangerous foe, but not just at a level you think, in many way she could be more dangerous than Poseidon." Eiji mused.

"Oi, Eiji, you sure about that? I know this Fine is annoying but we talking about that battle freak you know? Me and you should understand better than anyone in this room the power he possess." Ankh argued.

"In a term of battle prowess, since we haven't seen Fine show her yet that might be true." Eiji said, shaking his head, his eyes narrowed. "However, from what I briefly see and what Chris-chan told me, Fine while look like letting Poseidon decide what he want to do, she really is the one who manage to slowly manipulate him to her whims. In a way...it might be just like how Dr. Maki able to use the Greeed for his purpose even when he was just a human." He said grimly.

Hearing this, Ankh grew quiet and contemplated Hino's words. His expression grew tight, showing the bird Greeed do agree with what the vagabond said.

The name Dr. Maki was not a total stranger to the other in the room who is native in this world, the gist they got is that Maki Kyoto is a man with an obsession with the absolute end of all thing. He was one of the hardest opponent Eiji and Ankh have to went up against, someone who would have really brought forth the end of Eiji's world but was thankfully stopped in the end. Now hearing Eiji make a comparison between such a person and Fine only make the situation seems more dire.

"Well is not like we can just figure out the mystery by standing here worrying about it anyway." Genjuro said with a sigh, scratching the back of his head. "My men still gathering all the intel they can even as we speak, we can only hope eventually a vital piece of info can be found soon." He said, crossing his arms.

Everyone do understand it not the best plan but still the only one currently available. Though Eiji decided he should contact Yukine Chris just to be safe. He sure if it mean preventing more causality the girl wouldn't hold back in the end when it come to any new info she learn, that's how it have been since he get to properly known the white haired girl.

"Well it is a long day already, get your rest everyone, you all deserve it. We will notify you all if there's any new development."

Genjuro said to both the Gear Users and the Rider.

All of them nodded at this and preparing to leave. Except for Tsubasa, the girl went to the entrance where Akizuki Ritsuko and Tojo Nozomi are standing there waiting for their ride. The interview is over, the two have been deemed to be unfortunate bystanders dragged to the situation. As procedure, they were given a form to sign that promised their silence, with the understanding that breaking it would be a grave violence against the law that designed specifically for the safety of the Gear Users in mind.

The two of them quickly noticed Tsubasa approaching them and both have varied reaction.

"Ah, Kazanari-san." Ritsuko muttered hesitantly., after a few second of fidgeting the girl bowed toward the bluenette with an ashamed expression. "I'm sorry! I have caused such a big trouble for everyone and specifically I endangered your life!" She said with weeping voice.

In response, Kazanari simply brushed it off.

"It's alright, I have first hand experience what you go through." Tsubasa said gently despite her stoic expression. "We human aren't perfect, there are time when we have thoughts that are unreasonable and selfish. However the monster amplify those whisper of a thought to an uncontrollable degree." She explained.

"Still..." Ritsuko said, finding it hard to use that as an excuse for how much damage she caused. "It...Thank goodness no one was hurt. Otherwise I don't know how I can repent for it." She said, staring at her shaky hand.

"This show you are a good person. These feeling of guilt won't go away right away." Understanding better than anyone that there only so much fact and logic can do to lessen the guilt, Tsubasa didn't correct the girl, instead she pointed out something else. "At the very least, remember at the end of the day, this is all originated from the care you have for someone important to you. Regardless of what happened, that feeling isn't wrong." She said encouragingly.

After all, Kazanari Tsubasa can understand where Akizuki Ritsuko coming from. Even if their circumstances are completely difference, the fuel for these two actions still stem from an important person to them. On the other hand, facing such understanding and kindness from the person she tried to cause harm, Ritsuko can said nothing but have an ashamed yet relieved expression as she nodded slowly.

Seeing this, Nozomi have a warmth smile before it disappeared and replaced by a usual cheeky one.

"Alright, alright. Enough sulking around. Just focus on getting your rest as soon as possible okay?" Nozomi said, bumping shoulder with Ritsuko, startling her as she turn to look at the idol. "Our work not gonna suddenly stop. We still have to keep working hard, or you don't want to see me raise to the top anymore?"

Akizuki have a surprised expression as she furiously shook her head.

"Of course not! I will definitely be there to help you Tojo-san! You will definitely make it to number one!" Ritsuko exclaimed boldly, then she startled as she seems to remember who the other person next to them is, hence the guilty expression return as she turn to the bluenette." Ah, uhm..." She muttered.

Kazanari can't help but feel comical at the scene as she shook her head in an amused manner.

"I will be waiting, it is a fair and square competition, is it not?" Tsubasa said with a calm smile.

"R...right!" Ritsuko exclaimed.

Not just Tsubasa but Nozomi also have an amused expression, this bumbling manager of her never fail to amuse yet worry her at the same time. Putting her head on the brown haired girl head, the purple haired girl rubbed it softly drawing a surprised yelp from her manager.

"So, you seems like lead quite a life outside of your idol role eh?" Nozomi asked testily with no hostility in her tone. "It is just as dazzling too." She said with an admired sigh.

"I simply doing what I could as humanity's protector." Tsubasa said in a humble tone.

"Hahahaha." Nozomi laughed, hearing this. "I always thought you have always been too stiff for a girl your age, Tsubasa-chan. As if an age old samurai forced to live in a modern teenage girl body." She said shaking her head in amusement. "Now I see what you have to face with everyday, it just all fit so well." Nozomi said.

"I...is there something wrong with that!?" Tsubasa thought defiantly but didn't voice it out.

She has noticed the amount of people who commented on her rigid personality seems to increase very quickly these past month. While that a sign she has make many new friends it still make the bluenette feel defensive, she is a sentinel! What's so wrong with that!? Naturally, the girl still didn't understand that what other simply mean is the girl should relax more every now and then to not push herself to breaking point.

And weirdly enough, it seems Tojo picked up on this dilemma the girl in front of her having as she has a teasing smile.

"Now now, not saying it bad. It still very cute. We just afraid you will break your slender back if you keep carrying too many weight Tsubasa-chan." Nozomi said with a teasing smile.

"Wha!? You, stop reading other people thou-" Tsubasa can't help but let her composed image slip for a moment, the girl coughed to her hand to calm herself down. "Ah-hem, it none of your business." She said, lowered her tone while looking sideways.

Tojo chuckled before her expression turned more serious.

"Tsubasa-chan, thank you." Nozomi said sincerely. "Everyone may not know it but you have continuously did your best to protect our life from the Noises." She said with a light bow, her expression firm. "However, I am serious. I will aim for your spot and I will use my own strength to overtake Zwei Wing." Nozomi said with a confident smile.

Hearing this, instead of feeling threatened, Kazanari show an expression of approval and excitement.

"Heh, I will be insulted if you don't." Tsubasa said with a matching smile.

Nozomi then extended her hand to Tsubasa, who in response took it after a second of silence, the two share a light handshake just as the car pull up for Nozomi and Ritsuko. Tsubasa then watched the two driven off just as the sunset is happening, the girl then turn around and walked away with a light satisfied smile on her face.

Inside her cottage hidden deep in the forest, Fine looked through various data showed on her monitor. This include the compiled footage of the past Yummy that fought against OOO and the Gear Users, watching the monsters defeat the woman show an easygoing smile. Finally with a satisfied hum she pressed a button on her keyboard then stood up from her chair.

"It's finally time." Fine said happily with a lovely smile. "This time, surely, my confession will reach you, with the world itself as my stage." She said, gazing longingly at the rising full moon.

Later at night, Hino Eiji returned to the Sunflower shop. After cleaning himself the man plopped down on the bed with a satisfied sigh. On the side, Ankh seems deep in thought.

"What's wrong?" Eiji asked.

"Just thinking what that woman wanted by sending those Yummy out and make so many mess." Ankh said, furrowing his brows. "From what we see she make every move calculatedly. So what would she accomplish by using all those Yummy." He said grumbling.

"Well she sure know how to used them, she spared no type of Yummy." Eiji said with tired sigh.

However, his throwaway comment make Ankh descend down to thought even more.

"You right...at this point she has rotated through almost every type of Yummy there is among all the Greeeds..." Ankh mumbled.

Honestly speaking, when first arrived in this world, Ankh was dismissive of the problem it is facing. This is nothing strange for those who understand the Greeed, it is rare for him to care about anything that have little to do with his self interest. Only recently the experience with a certain idiot have make him start to care a bit more, for once if the world itself is gonna be in trouble then Ankh wouldn't mind to lend a hand for a bit. After all, it won't do for him too if the world were to end now isn't? And then there the amount of ice cream that will be loss because of it as well. See? Progress. Regardless, what that mean is while this world was troubled by the Noises, he didn't actively went out of his way to help this world combat the threat. Sure he would remove the few eyesore that spawn too close to him but he certainly didn't hunt them down whenever they appear like Eiji did.

After all, the world certainly isn't ending and Ankh discovered that despite what the news said, this world isn't as helpless to the Noises as everyone believe. This world have no Riders but it have these girls with their weird looking armors instead. Just like how he learnt from Eiji that there exist world where, instead of Riders, there are those called Sentai that protected it. So basically, this world already have its own solution for its own problem, why should he interfere? He need to worry about his own mess, namely that annoying fake Greeed that just happen to be a battle thirsty Rider as well.

So during the initial time when he stay in this world, Ankh is no different from a passerby, he has no interest to mingle with their problem, solely focus on how to put the Greeed down for good. And as much as it vex him to admit it, the fake Greeed is already an annoying opponent before, his power is nothing to scoff at, easily matching a Greeed with all its Core Medals. And now, said being have absorbed that deluded Galaxy King's energy as well. Safe to said, the plan to put the faker down for good changed to how to stay alive and avoid the annoying bastard.

And then, that idiot actually arrived. Ankh will never admit it, but that man's appearance have managed to help Ankh and it make him feel relieved. After all, Ankh believed as long as he and Hino Eiji work together, taking down Poseidon wouldn't be such a hurdle anymore.

And then...that idiot arrived. Yes, Hino Eiji is a solution for Ankh but as always, he also a double edged sword for the Greeed. Because sure enough, the moment the guy see the trouble this world is facing against the Noises, he throw all the cautious into the wind and charge head first to deal against them. Really, if Ankh wasn't there to nag his head off, Eiji probably would have been caught by the 2nd Division much earlier, granted caught is a strong words but his point still stand! And thus begin their confrontation against this woman named Fine who control all the Noises, someone that Ankh as first dismissed as a lesser threat compare to Poseidon given she have to hide behind these weaklings.

A thought that Ankh admit might have been too premature, given what he has seen plus what Eiji said before at the meeting. The way this woman conducted her operations, how she used the Yummy so skillfully one would mistake she is a Greeed herself, Ankh realize Eiji's notion might indeed be correct, between Fine and Poseidon the former could very well be a bigger threat. After all, while the Greeed is undoubtedly powerful, in the end that was also its only reason it so dangerous. Beside that, his goal is pretty clear cut, and don't even get Ankh started on strategy, this guy way of doing thing is brute force his way through everything. It actually quite similar to what Gamel would have done, and while the grey Greeed was also very strong, Ankh have never consider him a bigger threat than the more subdued yet shrewd Kazari.

The same thing is happening here now with Fine and Poseidon, after hearing Eiji's words and went over the same info himself, Ankh known he is correct. The one holding all the card in their deal is Fine right now, whether Poseidon realize it or not.

Hence, Ankh decided to put Fine as a priority over the crazed Greeed. This world actually even more troublesome than he thought, it really make the Ankh second guessed himself, should he has just toss Eiji back into whatever hole he crawl out from and try to deal with Poseidon by himself then just leave without getting caught in this mess. Then again, it too late now, and any retreat would make it look like Ankh is afraid of a human.

"She is good, but not that good." Ankh thought with a scoff.

Still, is best to keep his eyes open now. No more fooling around, their enemy is showing all her cards, regardless of what she is planning it doesn't matter she herself will let them know soon. Problem is, are they ready for it?

Later that night, everyone was enjoying a good sleep. Right now is around 2AM in the morning, it is usually the time when the sleep is deepest. It is also why, Hibiki let out a tired groan when she heard a beeping noises from her phone. However, the girl can't ignore it. For despite her sleepiness, she recognize the number of the 2nd Division. Frantically, the girl reached for the device. Around the same time, Eiji and Tsubasa also received the same call.

A Noises attack is happening, more precisely, multiple attacks are occurring across the city.

At the other side, even if she didn't receive a call herself, Yukine Chris can clearly see the damage done by the horde of Noises to the city from her window. The white haired girl narrowed her gaze at the scale of the attack.

"Fine, are you just gonna continue to bring forth destruction?" Chris muttered in shock.

The sound of warning siren spread throughout the street, rousing all the sleeping citizen awake. Of course, in this day and age, it not rare for some to still be awake this late at night. Luckily for those, they quickly responded to the warning and rush to the shelter. For other with more normal schedule, the sudden wake up call leave them in a daze for few seconds. But once they realize it not their alarm clock but something much more urgent, they start to quickly pack and bring their families to shelter as well.

However, this time the scale of the Noises attack is much bigger than before. Multiple location in the cities are filled with the Noises, turning everything into dust. No doubt, if leave as it is with this amount of Noises the level of casualty would be tremendous regardless of the shelter. Thankfully, there are those who can fix this situation. Rushing forth different location, a streak of orange, blue, red and tri-colored figure dash through the Noises. The Greeed of the air, the Multi King Rider, the fist that contain the Spear of God, the Sentinel that wield the Sword of Storm, each dealt with the Noises in their own way. And while the numbers are large, each of the individual carry enough power to handle this number of enemies.

While there are the four major locations where the Noises show up, doesn't mean there aren't any Noises scatter around other area. However, Ankh, OOO and the two Gear Users didn't even need to do any clean up. The sound of gunshot can be heard in the night as many Noises felled and the white haired girl who wielded the Bow of God already disappeared before the 2nd Division arrive.

That should have been the end of it, the battle was nothing too out of place. Beside a slightly larger amount of enemies, they were not enough as a threat. The problem, however, is the frequency of the attack. Ever since then within the last two days the number of times the Noises have appear surpassed the amount of times they usually appear within a week. Of course, each time they appear so do the heroes, the process repeated for the last few days and while they still didn't find the enemies troublesome, the amount of times they have to dispatch within two days admittedly make all of them feel a bit drained. This include a battle hardened mindset like Tsubasa and a Greeed like Ankh, though in the latter case it more like feeling an annoyance of a fly that keep buzzing in front of him rather than real physical exhaustion.

Currently, all of them have regrouped at the 2nd Division briefing room. All four fighters sat across the sofa, with Ankh having a ticked off expression, Hibiki look like she about to doze off, Eiji have a thoughtful expression with no hint of the usual cheerfulness, even Tsubasa is showing a pale expression.

"Sorry everyone, as much as I want to give you all a dismiss and let you all have some sleep..." Genjuro said with a sigh, knowing sleep become quite a luxury within these last two days for these four. He doesn't know about the Greeed but regardless of being Rider or Gear Users, the one sitting in front of him are all brave youngsters fighting for the world. They are still flesh and blood human being, forcing them to keep up all this fighting with barely an hour or two to sleep and rest in between is not a good sign, but sadly the situation didn't give them a chance right now. "But given what we seeing, chances are before you guys can even get a decent shut eyes, another Noises attack gonna happen." He said with a sigh.

"Can so many Noises really just being thrown at us all at once? This is too unfair..." Hibiki drawled out with her head hanging low. "Ah I can see it...the pork bowl beckoning me from the light..." She said, reaching out to the air in front of her with a faraway look.

"Hibiki-chan!? Snap out of it! Don't go to Mr. Pork Bowl! You not gonna be even getting a last meal!"

Eiji urgently shook the cream haired girl back and forth, gently of course, while Tachibana still has a dreamy expression.

"Worry not, eventually her spirit will be refuel when she learn to use the essence of battle as one nutrients." Tsubasa said with a rather...hollow cold smile.

"Uhm, Tsubasa-chan? I'm not sure but it seems what you just told me is even more problematic, that's really not good you know? Tsubasa-chan?" Eiji retorted hesitantly.

Yet the bluenette still has the smile which frankly scared the man, perhaps even more than Poseidon ever could.

"Ah, youth." Sakurai Ryoko said with a smile.

"In what way?!" Such is a thought shared by many in the room.

Not that the brown haired woman known nor care as she continue, hand put to her chin.

"But Hibiki-chan pose a good question, I guess the initial theory we have about there being a limit for the amount of Noises being release by the Solomon Cane isn't as solid as we thought." Sakurai Ryoko said with a frustrated expression, looking at the big screen showing the statistic of the last two days battle record, particularly about the number of Noises for each attack. "Or perhaps the exact limit isn't as little as we thought given what we see, this Fine might have never truly pushed the limit of the Relic...or is this a new development that let her level up this dangerous technology..." She said , though her words slowly turned to a string of mumbling.

The other 2nd Division staffs along with those like Hibiki, Ankh and Eiji known to just let the scientist be. The latter three have quickly learn this is a sign she will tune them out for quite a while and will rejoin the conversation when she done with her thought.

"At this point, do we have any way to take the initiative instead of just waiting to respond?" Fujitaka Sakuya asked with a sigh, sipping his coffee.

"Not when we still in a dark what is the enemy's next step is." Tomosato Aoi said, rolling her shoulder with a tired groan.

The two computer experts have been among the few who adjusted to the sudden lack of times for sleep the easiest. They have bundle of experience in pulling all nighter to finish programming for the Division, reviewing the data or sometimes just for some marathon of online games resulted from Sakuya begging Aoi to join him as repaying favor from work.

Hearing this, Eiji perked up. Is not that he forgotten about her, but the string of attacks have indeed leave him with no times to reach out for the white haired girl. Chris have told him even she didn't know the clear detail of what Fine plan is but seeing how thing is clearly reaching the important stage it best they finally work together now, plus he known she been secretly helping them with wiping out the Noises these last two days as well. He understand she still has some hesitation when it come to meeting with the 2nd Division, however they can't afford to be picky right now.

With his decision made, Eiji give a nod to Ankh and excused himself from the 2nd Division, the briefing is already over they just have to be on alert and standby in case another Noises attack happen.

As Eiji went outside and approach his Ride Vendor parking nearby, someone called his name.

"Eiji-kun, wait!" Hibiki called out, running over.

"What is it, Hibiki-chan?"

"You are meeting Chris-chan aren't you?" Hibiki guessed, seeing Eiji's surprised expression the girl smiled triumphantly. "Hehehe, I told you that I can tell what Eiji-kun is thinking. Now is the right time for us to all work together! Can I come with you?" She pleaded.

"Okay." Eiji said, nodding, seeing no harm in it. "Though you might need to be ready, you know how Chris-chan is, she might not agree right away." He said.

"Hehehe, you are wrong Eiji-kun!" Hibiki said with a confident smile. "It is time like this, no doubt Chris-chan will see the benefit of us joining hands!" She declared.

"Go home." Yukine Chris said in a snarky tone.

The girl then closed her door.

"Eh?" Hibiki mutter with her smile frozen in place.

Behind her, Eiji scratched the back of his head sheepishly with an awkward grin.

"Chris-chan, please, this is important." Eiji said, this time he is the one knocking. "Ah, so many people are gonna be hurt by the Noises, if only someone take responsibility." He said in an exaggerated tone.

The moment he finished speaking, Hibiki squealed. Already, she can heard the thundering footstep from the other side approaching them. Why does it feel like her Eiji-kun just courted death!?

The door is opened again, this time with much more force that it created wind pressure blowing against Eiji and Hibiki. Behind it, Chris look at them with reddening eyes, but when she see Eiji's apologetic smile the white haired girl gritted her teeth. Instead of unload a rain of bullets on them like Hibiki was afraid of, Chris crossed her arms with a crossed expression.

"I told you guys, go home. I am not becoming buddy buddy with you. If anything now is the time I need to be alone even more, I need to focus." Chris growled then stressed the last few words heavily.

As if she is thinking the two idiots in front of her won't get the hint. Wait, no that is exactly what Yukine is thinking.

"Wait, wait Chris-chan, please listen first!" Hibiki urged, stopping the white haired girl from closing the door again. However, the unamused glance she receiving from Chris make her not sure what to said, after a few seconds she turned to Eiji with a straight face. "Go on, Eiji-kun, tell her what you think!"

Hino blinked owlishly at Hibiki, more surprised at the girl's move due to her personality rather than the fact she is dumping the responsibility. He then quickly shift his attention back to Chris who is giving a look that basically scream 'you better not'. Too bad, he wanted to listen to her but the situation is very dire now, he known Chris is aware of that herself.

"Chris-chan, you yourself see what is happening right now. Even if you don't want our help, we still gonna get involved anyway." Eiji said with a placating tone. "Isn't this a right time to work together and face Fine? This would definitely be better than working individually and we can prevent innocent people from being harm by Fine's plan." He said.

"Tch." Chris grumbled, is not that she hasn't consider all of that point, but she also doesn't want to take the initiative. Deep down the girl still want a chance to settle this with Fine by herself, but that would really mean more people might get hurt in the process. "Argh, fine. Is not like I don't know the weight of my own sins anyway." She said with a sigh.

That really isn't the point Eiji wanted to convey, he winced, but he held back from correcting the white haired girl. He even stopped Hibiki by shaking his head, they will deal with the white haired's girl guilt later, when everything finally settled down. If they rush now, it will just make Chris even more uncomfortable. Until the white haired girl accomplish her redemption, correcting all of this by facing Fine, whatever is said to her will not have much effect. Eiji understood that much after getting to known her, right now the important matter is for them to make the white haired girl understand it time to work together.

"Then have you find out anything new? Like what is Fine trying to achieve?" Eiji asked.

He really hope the blond haired woman endgame really isn't just let throw all the Noises to the street and watch the street burn in glee. Granted, that will be simple which is a good thing in a way, but it will also be very troublesome to clean up the mess and prevent more people from getting hurt.

"I won't be sucking my thumb sitting here if I known that now wouldn't I?" Chris crossed her arms with a crossed look on her face, watching the two of them. After a few seconds she let out a sigh as she moved out of the way. "Alright get in. I knew you two won't move unless I bring out the missile and I am not in the mood for that right now." She grumbled, walking back to her house while leaving the door open.

Tachibana obviously feel delighted by the invitation, with a quick words of excuse she make her way in with Hino followed suit. Once inside, the cream haired girl is shocked by the lack of furniture or...anything really, there is only a mattress with few chairs and a table with bag of fast food laying around. The young man already been here so he not too shocked but he did give Yukine a look when he saw the messy lay out of the unhealthy food package. The white haired girl in turn grew defensive when she feel the stare.

"W...What? Look, butt off okay? It's none of your business." Chris said, knowing what Eiji is conveying with his stare. "It not like I have time to cook nor have any of the equipment and the ingredients anyway so this is more efficient..." She ended up explaining anyway despite her former sentence.

"Alright, let's cook up some food for Chris-chan next time, Hibiki-chan." Eiji said decisively with a bright smile.

"Agreed!" Hibiki replied sharing the same smile.

"Oi! Shouldn't the person that suppose to be fed get the last said?!" Chris rebuttal went unheard of course.

The three of them then find the spot to sit down on the ground and finally start to discuss the relentless wave of Noises that been going on.

"Chris-chan, can Fine really summon as many Noises as she want?" Hibiki asked with a worried face.

"Argh that's the thing..." Chris grumbled, scratching the back of her head in frustrated manner. "It not impossible per say but there also a reason Fine didn't flood the entire city with Noises from the get go. There is a limit how many Noises can be summon at a times, at least as far as I aware there was back then. After the Solomon Cane is used to summon a certain number of Noises it will need to be cool down before can be used again. The more frequently the gate is opened the longer it take for the cool down, so for Fine to throw so many Noises out without a care this must have been the Noises she been saving up for a long times. Either that, or she has somehow removed the limiter, which knowing Fine it not impossible but I really hope that isn't the case..." She said with a frown.

"It might be the former, if Fine really have found a way to unleash limitless amount of Noises then we would have be even more busier." Eiji suggested. "That line up with what we deduced as well, but it still didn't change the fact we don't know what she want..." He said thoughtfully.

"About that, I been went through the mental notes I can think of again." Chris said slowly, crunching her brows in concentration. "Honestly, Fine never divulge the detail of her plan. One is because the technological terms just went over my head, second is because she never bother to explain much and just asked me to trust her." At this, she paused for a scoff. "Still, that didn't mean I didn't learn anything after all this time. The few things I remember her keep talking about include the Golden Relic, of course, this brat here." Chris said, pointing at a startled Hibiki with an apologetic gleam in her eyes. "And lastly something about a Kadingir." She said with a thoughtful expression.

"Kadingir?" Hibiki said, testing the words in her mouth. "Some kind of Relic as well?"

She asked, turning to Eiji and Chris.

"Well...I don't think I heard of a weapons like that before in any mythology?" Eiji said quizzically. "I mean, Gungnir, Ame no Habakiri, I'm assuming that's the theme here...ah! But then again, I never heard of Ichaival until I come to this world so I could be wrong."

He said, turning to the white haired girl.

"Huh?" Chris said with an incredulous look. "The hell you mean you never heard of it? My Relic is just as famous as the brat and the stuck up idol you know?" She asked.

"Ah, well, I am sorry but really, I have always meant to ask. What was Ichaival even is anyway? Is it eh...Hindu?" Eiji asked, guessed.

"Oi! It's Ichaival you know? The bow used by Odin! Just like how he used the Gungnir that this brat have!" Chris said with an offended expression.

"Odin used a bow?" Eiji thought, tilting his head.

"Guys, I don't think this is the right time." Hibiki said with a sweat drop.

Why is she suddenly the voice of reason right now?

"Anyway! Now that you are fine with us working together, how about we return to the 2nd Division for now?" Eiji suggested.

The white haired girl give him a dry look.

"No." Chris said flatly.

"As expected." Eiji said, nodding.

Tachibana given him a shocked look, as if saying that's all the effort he has?

"Eiji-kun, aren't you giving up a bit too fast there!?" Hibiki thought.

The girl wonder where is his usual shrewdness to convince other go.

The thing is, Eiji know even if they can get Chris to work with them now, asking her to just come back to the 2nd Division base is still a tough request, it best to hear how the girl want this to work.

"Look, I don't mind giving you guys an extra firepower, if anything I can give you the best kind there is." Chris said with much reluctant in her voice. "However, going back to that place is out of questions. I am willing to lend a hand while we fighting the Noises, in fact, you can use me however you want." She said, looking dead set at Hibiki who has a startled expression. "But anything else is not up for discussion. If you want me to follow you, might as well beat me in a fight first." Chris said, crossing her arms with a resolute expression.

"Chris-chan, you are making this way too hard." Hibiki cried out with a dejected expression. "Everyone is very nice there! Trust me! Let's just meet up for now okay?" She pleaded. "Maybe just drop by to said hello first? How is that?"

"This brat, did she get promote to be the 2nd Division boss or something? Drop by to said hi? Are we talking about a friend's house here?" Chris thought with her eyes twitching.

Seeing the white haired girl didn't budge on her stance much to Hibiki's disappointment. She looked to Eiji for help but he just give her a helpless shrug, he probably already saw this coming.

"Alright then." Hibiki said dejectedly. "Well at least we are gonna fight together! That's progress!" She said, cheered up instantly.

Hearing this, Chris looked at Eiji with a certain gaze.

"Is she always like this?"

Eiji can hear the questions from the look she giving him, he merely replied with another shrug and an easygoing smile.

What Chris said might have been minimal but it still crucial info, so Eiji relayed the message to other. The 2nd Division mulled over what Chris had said.

"Kadingir huh..." Tomosato Aoi tested the words.

"Hm...An ancient word from Sumerian that mean an elevated existence, sometimes even mean a tower reaching heaven, kind of like the Babylon Tower." Fujitaka Sakuya said.

Is the man well versed in Sumerian language? No, but why would he need to be when this day and age have an all knowing teacher known as Internet? It barely took him a second to search the words definition up.

"Sound ambitious enough for an evil mastermind plan alright." Sakurai Ryoko commented dryly, looking at what Sakuya searched up. "Doesn't make it easier to guess what Fine is trying to do, except a possible fact that our blond haired friend is surprisingly religious." She said with a sigh.

"Don't be too pessimistic like that, it unlike you at all." Kazanari Genjuro said encouragingly to his friend. "At the very least, it is progress. We now one step forward compare to how we were before regardless how small the step might seems to be." He said calmly.

"And you are surprisingly optimistic in times like this." Ryoko shot back with a groan, holding her head. "Must be nice being so carefree all the time, though sometimes I wonder how on Earth did you even become a Commander in the first place." She said.

Despite the seemingly harsh words, to those who know this is just how these two banter in a tense situation.

"You always welcome to take my seat if you think so. In fact, I insist." Genjuro said with a grin.

"Hah, no thanks, in your dream. As if I will take over all those paperwork like a fool, I have enough on my plate already." Ryoko said, sticking her tongue out.

With the mood lightened up a bit, the red haired Commander went back to topic.

"At the very least, we have Chris-kun willing to work with us on the field now. That's definitely a good news. We just have to continue gathering information." Genjuro said hopefully.

"You really think our problem child will work well with the rest?" Ryoko asked, raising an eyebrow.

Just as she finished saying that, the alarm of the Noises blared up.

"Guess we will find out now." Shinji commented with a complicated expression.

"Don't worry, the best way to know each other is to cross fist against each other. And don't the kids have tons of that experience already?" Genjuro said confidently.

This time, the location where the Noises spawned is only one. However, it also contain the most Noises since the beginning of the relentless onslaught. Even by the abnormal standard for the past two days the number still a lot, it is estimated to have 1000 Noises at least in the area. Not to mention the Trash Yummy and other type of Yummy have also been spotted, needless to said if this isn't dealt with soon, it not a stretch to said the entire city will be wipe out within a day. Hence, Eiji, Ankh, Hibiki, Tsubasa and Chris as well are already on the move.

Ankh have also received the info about Kadingir, like other, it is still too little for him to figure it out what Fine want. However, he can tell it must be an important hint, hence the Greeed have been thinking about it nonstop.

"Base on the name, could it have been some kind of gigantic construct?" Ankh thought.

But even then, that is still too generic, and the situation didn't really allow him time to leisurely brainstorm either. Really, if it wasn't for Eiji he wouldn't have involved himself in another big mess like this. Regardless, the Greeed still be on his way, with a flap of his wings, Ankh fly through the air at blitzing speed.

On her side, Kazanari Tsubasa already rode on her bike toward the destination.

While on Eiji, Hibiki and Chris side...

"You sure you know how to do this, Chris-chan?" Eiji asked in worry.

"What? You worry I will wreck it or something? Don't worry if that's the case I will paid you back!" Chris exclaimed with a huff.

"I just don't want you to get hurt." Eiji said with a chuckle.

"This idiot make ME feel like an idiot for always being able to said something like that easily!" Chris thought with a twitch of her eyes.

"I'm also here you know!?" Hibiki exclaimed with a pout.

"Sorry, sorry." Eiji said with a laugh.

The cream haired girl angry pout make her look like a ticked off hamster, Chris haven't noticed it before given their past 'rocky interaction', but now seeing it this close one thought flash through her mind.

"Cute..." Chris thought, though she quickly shake her head to clear it off.

Currently, Chris is sitting on the Ride Vendor, ready to drive off with Hibiki sitting behind her. The reason is simple, their Gears can let them cover the distance to the location easily but the speed will not allow them to reach it as fast as a Rider Machine like Ride Vendor, both Gungnir and Ichaival isn't exactly some speed focused Gear despite the superhuman enhance it give their users. And of course, the Ride Vendor can only carry two people on its seat. Now, while Gungnir and Ichaival doesn't have a speed form, OOO on the other hand does with Latoratah. So, it come down to both the Gear Users drive the Ride Vendor while Eiji will catch up with the Scorching Combo, he has recover enough to use a Full Combo for this with not much backlash, hence Hibiki and Chris agreed to this. The only thing they need to decide is who to drive, Hibiki clearly doesn't has a license and she doesn't know how to, Chris also doesn't has a license but she do know how to drive.

One have to admit, at the very least working under Fine has trained Chris a lot of skills even if she doesn't use all of them all the time. Including how to operate vehicle like car or bike, only out of necessity though since it not like Chris care much for them or own a vehicle herself.

"I just hope your driving skill isn't like Ryoko-san." Hibiki said, shivered.

The trauma clearly is still too strong to the girl.

"Who?" Chris quirked an eyebrow.

"You don't want to know." Hibiki said shivering. "Ryoko-san herself is nice though! But you won't want to know her driving skill." She said, half laughing and half crying.

For some reason, Chris find that description a bit familiar.

"Alright, then let's go everyone." Eiji said.

This shook the two girls out of their conversation, Chris's height make it a bit difficult for her to completely reach the ground while riding the bike but it nothing she can't maneuver over. Really, the girl have done much more dangerous stuff than handling a bike, why is everyone around her such a worrywart?

Eiji then take out the OOO Driver, strapped it on and slot the three yellow Core Medals on it.

"HENSHIN!" Eiji exclaimed as he swipe the OOO Scanner across the Driver.

At the same time, Chris twisted the bike handle, letting the engine roar to live. The strong reaction from the powerful bike draw a smile out from the girl, she doesn't care about driving but that doesn't mean she doesn't enjoy a thrill once in a while. Especially from what she already see, she know this machine have some crazy horsepower in it.

[LION-TORA-CHEETAH! LATA-LATA-LATORATAH!]

OOO in his Scorching Combo bend down to running position, as he kicked off the yellow Rider move like a speeding bullet heading toward the site. Chris also twisted the bike handle, driving the bike to follow along.

Almost at the same time, Ankh, Tsubasa, Chris along with Hibiki and OOO make it toward the site.

"Commander, all the Gear Users along with Eiji and Ankh have made it to the location." Sakuya reported.

"Uhm." Genjuro grunted in acknowledgment with an excited look.

This will be the first official battle that Chris join them after all, he can't wait to see what the team have to show.

Watching this, Sakurai also have an interested gleam.

"Now then, boys and girls. Go wild." Ryoko whispered with a sweet smile.

"Yukine Chris." Tsubasa muttered the moment she saw the white haired girl driving the Ride Vendor with Hibiki behind her. After a few moment of silence with the two staring at each other, the bluenette closed her eyes, as she opened it again she seems to resolved herself. "I hope we can count on your assistance to contain this threat." She said sincerely with a nod.

Seeing this, Yukine have a complicated look.

"As long as you don't trip over me, you don't have to worry about these small fry." Chris said, turning her gaze away.

"Alright! Let's go everyone!" Hibiki cheered.

After all, everyone is just getting along so well!

"You really amaze me brat." Ankh said, shaking his head.

"Then, I will go ahead first." OOO said with a chuckle.

With that the speedy Rider charge in, a line of yellow blur rush through the Noises and Trash Yummy, already taking out some of the number.

"Really, what a slave driver." Ankh grumbled.

Despite this, he still assumed his Greeed form and start raining heavy fire down onto the enemies.

"Everyone, let's go, we can't fall behind!" Hibiki exclaimed.

"Who make you the leader out of nowhere?" Chris grumbled.

"Heh." Tsubasa merely scoffed in amusement.

Despite what she said the white haired girl still ollowed the cream haired girl lead, the two of them dismounted the bike not used to fighting on it. With the bluenette still sitting on her, then Tsubasa and Chris taken out their Pendant while Hibiki closed her eyes in concentration. Then the three girls start singing at the exact same time.

"Killter Ichaival tron."

"Imyuteus Ame no Habakiri tron."

"Balwisyall nescel Gungnir tron."

Three orb of lights appeared and covered all three girls, then three pillar of lights in blue, gold and red color respectively shot out from the orb. The moment the light die down it reveal Tsubasa in her Ame no Habakiri with her sword in hand, Hibiki in Gungnir with her fist clenching and Chris in Ichaival with her pair of guns ready.

The three Gear Users quickly joined the fray, with Chris open the path by shooting her pair of guns, multiple energy bolt impaled to the Noises who then exploded. Right after her is Tsubasa, with quick and precise swing, the bluenette cut down the Noises rushing at her. Lastly, Hibiki display less agile and grace compare the prior two, however she make up for it with her explosive technique. Each punch the girl send out create a mini shockwave, obliterating the Noise receiving it and push back the surrounding one that tried to attack the cream haired girl from her blind spot.

At that moment a Noise around the size of a building towered over the three Gear Users. It lift it giant limb up, ready to swing it down on them. Without saying anything, the three already on a move. With Tsubasa dash toward Hibiki who put out her hands as a spring. The bluenette then stepped on it, letting the cream haired girl fling her high up to the sky. As the same time, Chris switched her pair of crossbows for the two chainguns.

[BILLION MAIDENS!]

The rain of bullets strike against the Noise, its giant size make it an easy target. The Noise lift up its limb to block against the relentless onslaught, even then it can still feel the firepower eating away at its hand. Right at that moment, Tsubasa who is sky high descend down with her blade enlarged.

[CERULEAN FLASH!]

The girl swing down her blade, sending a blue energy slash that cut off the hand the Noise is using as the shield, this make the giant Noise stumbled back. All the while, Tachibana is readying her strike. The girl already got into the stance the moment she lifted Tsubasa up with the air condensing around her, showing the amount of power she is exerting with Gungnir. The moment the Noise stumbled is the signal for her, Hibiki dash forth, leaving a crater on the ground from the shockwave. She leap toward the Noise like an orange shooting start, the girl then throw her punch forward and breakthrough the giant Noise, leaving a big hole on it chest as she landed back on the ground. Meanwhile the Noise stood still for a second before enveloped in a big explosion taking out multiple smaller Noises that stood too close to its.

"Alright, the plan work perfectly!" Hibiki cheered in excitement.

""What plan?"" Both Tsubasa and Chris asked in deadpan.

Though they quickly stared at each other realizing the sync, it didn't help the cream haired girl's grin only get wider. The bluenette and white haired girl share an annoyed look as they looked away from each other and continue to hunt down the rest of the monster.

"Hahaha, Chris-chan and Tsubasa-chan will be good friends for sure." Hibiki said with a fistbump.

Holding that same fist, the girl ducked from a claw swipe from one of the Noise, she then quickly spin around and give a quick jab at its face.

However, the girls quickly realize as dangerous as they are already, the Noises are not the only enemies they have to be wary of. Leaping out from the midst of the Noises is the Yummy that all three girls recognize, the monster that look like a humanoid rhinoceros beetle, the Kabuto Yummy. Said Yummy instantly aimed for Hibiki, rushing horn first at the girl.

"!?"

The cream haired girl has an alarmed expression, however, her training quickly kick in. Not to mention a sense of regret and a feeling of second chance filled the girl, she still remember how helpless she was back when Eiji faced this Yummy along with its sibling in front of her, this Yummy also signified the battle where Tsubasa and Eiji were hospitalized. This time, Tachibana Hibiki will prove to herself she has become stronger since then. Thus, the girl braced herself, her foot planted firmly on the ground leaving small crack around her feet. Back then, even OOO didn't dare to meet the Yummy's charge head on in his Tatoba Combo, when he used the Scorching Combo he simply destroyed the Yummy before it have a chance to strike him down. However, Hibiki have confidence, the current her being accepted by Gungnir can handle this.

As if understanding the girl's action as a challenge, the Kabuto Yummy increased its pace and focused squarely on the brawling Gear User. Unlike its previous copy, this Yummy was not given any order to restraint itself against Tachibana Hibiki.

"Tachibana!" Tsubasa called out in alarm.

Even Chris have a surprised expression at the cream haired girl's reckless actions, both her and the bluenette understand how strong the Yummy is. However, they were too far away to intervene on time. Thus they watched as the Kabuto Yummy collided against Hibiki, horn meeting gauntlet.

The explosion resulted from the clash send shockwave blasting the nearby Noises away, with Tsubasa stabbed her sword to the ground to keep her balance. The girl stretched out her hand, pushing it against the back of the stumbling Chris to help the white haired girl with her balance as well. With the wind pressure died down, Chris regained her balance. She shot an annoyed yet awkward glance at the bluenette, the same one who got her legs pierced by Chris's own hand.

"I didn't need the help." Chris grumbled. "Thanks though." She quickly mumbled.

The white haired girl then joined the fray again, leaving behind Kazanari who have a curious expression.

"Hah, what a troublesome fellow." Tsubasa said with a sigh, her expression complicated.

Back at Hibiki and Kabuto Yummy, the two are at a deadlock against each other after the initial clash. With the cream haired girl pushing her fist against the Yummy's horn, neither side giving way as the ground crackled beneath their feet, slowly forming crater. Then, the Yummy back revealed its Noises colored bug wings. This fueled more power to the Kabuto Yummy, allowing it to break the stalemate and push forth. Despite planting her feet firmly in the ground, Hibiki is being pushed back dragging a tread under her feet. The girl gritted her teeth, refuse to give up.

Seeing the favor is turning against the cream haired girl, Tsubasa tried to rush in to help, yet at that moment a bobbing body blocked her way.

"Out of my way!"

Seeing the Neko Yummy showed up out of nowhere blocking her path, Tsubasa first instinct is swing her sword at the thing's stomach. However, her blade only dented into the flesh of the cat monster for a few inch before it bounced back. The powerful backlash make the bluenette stumbled back, the girl gritted her teeth. In her haste she acted on reflex but now she remember the record show this particular Yummy have a high defense against physical attack.

BANG! BANG! BANG!

Just when the bluenette was thinking what to do, multiple gunshot rang out as spark shot out from the back of the Neko Yummy. Still it barely flinched and turned it gaze on the attacker, its former partner, Yukine Chris.

"Tch, your fat skin is still as tough as before huh?" Chris said, clicking her tongue, she then look at Tsubasa. "Oi, this thing isn't something you can look away from. Let's handle it first." She said.

"But Tachibana still..." Tsubasa said with a frown.

"Hah, aren't you her comrade and yet you don't know?" Chris asked, gaining a curious look from the bluenette. "As for me who fought against her I known, that brat is too stubborn to lose so easily." She said.

At that moment, Hibiki's leg gear extended the rod hidden in it, stabbed into the ground behind her. This allow the girl to regain her position, temporarily stopping the Yummy's advance. However, Tachibana know this isn't enough, if she doesn't act fast the ground will just crumble and the Yummy will pummel her to death for sure. Thus, her gauntlet's mechanism activated. As the girl continue her power struggle against the Yummy, she held it back with one hand while pulling her right fist back. Seeing this, the Kabuto Yummy copied her movement. In the next second, both the Gear User and the Yummy throw their right hook at each other! This result in another explosive force kicking up dust and debris covering both of them, the ground beneath them become a crater due to the destructive force the two throw out.

Seeing this, Tsubasa gritted her teeth as she acknowledged Chris's word. The bluenette focused her gaze onto the Neko Yummy, she hold out her sword in defensive stance.

"Let's end this quick." Tsubasa simply said.

"Heh, I just worry you can't catch up." Chris said with a smirk.

As expected, this duo have easier times to talk when they on the battlefield.

Playing Makyu Ichaival.

The appearance of the Yummy is already dangerous enough, not to mention right now a large number of Noises still surrounding them. The Noises already starting to work with the Neko Yummy, rushing first to distract the two Gear Users. In response, Chris switched to her chainguns and fired at the charging horde. This tear through the numbers instantly, with few still rushing forth.

[ONE THOUSAND TEARS!]

At that moment, Tsubasa unleashed a rain of blue energy swords descended down onto them. Destroying multiple Noises, clearing the way for the two Valkyrie. At that exact moment, the Neko Yummy assumed its ball form and rush toward Tsubasa at blitzing speed. The Yummy didn't care even as it run over some of the Noises that was in the way, destroying them. It clear the cat monster is only focus on defeating both of the Gear Users, Tsubasa and Chris. The bluenette already know of this Yummy devastating attack, so she didn't face it head on. With superb reaction and agility, the girl sidestepped the fast paced attack. As the same time, Chris is readying to bring out the literal big gun. The girl known better than most that this thing can't be taken down by halfhearted attack, hence she paused her attack for a moment. When it come to the Ichaival Gear, each and everyone of its attack is a large scale firepower. Even then, when one need to use its more devastating arsenal, one would required to gather the Gear's energy for a duration of time. And with Tsubasa keeping the Yummy busy, the white haired girl got enough of the time she need.

"Oi! You better move fast if you don't want to be toasted as well!" Chris shouted.

Hearing this, Tsubasa looked at the white haired girl's direction as she widened her eyes.

"This girl..." Tsubasa said with a shake of her head.

The bluenette instantly jumped away, the Neko Yummy tried to follow. The keyword is 'tried' because it found out that it couldn't move, that because when she is avoiding it attack, Tsubasa already swiftly throw one of her dagger to the Yummy's shadow. Hence,

[SHADOW WEAVER!]

The Yummy struggled, the bluenette have no doubt with its incredible strength it only a matter of time for the Yummy to break free. However, that is to said if the Yummy have the chance.

[MEGA DETH PARTY!]

At this moment, with her energy concentrated, Chris unleashed it in a form of a barrage of missiles shot toward the Neko Yummy. Each of the missile contain the incredible power of the Ichaival Relic, needless to said, any one of these strike would be enough to obliterate dozen or even more Noises. And all of them are concentrated on the immobilized Yummy!

BOOM! BOOM! BOOM!

The spot where the Neko Yummy stood is covered with explosion, many Noises were evaporated and they weren't even close to the Neko Yummy's location, this just show how powerful Chris's attack is. Needless to said, with this level of attack, even for the Yummy known for its defense, there was no way it come out unscathed. Sure enough, the cat monster can be seen got throw away like a ragdoll and crashed to the ground. Its body still have smoke coming out with many parts look burned, damaged and broken. Still, the Neko Yummy did live up to its reputation. The monster pushed itself up, Chris can see the Yummy is glaring at her. Its eyes gleaming, for once the supposedly lazy looking monster is exuding an intimidating aura that promise death to the one that dealt this level of damage to it.

Chris's response? She smirked and pointed her finger up.

The Yummy followed the direction and lifted it head up, only then does the monster feel a sense of given up. For coming down on its very spot is a gigantic sword with Tsubasa standing on the hilt of it, no, it more precise to said she is kicking down the truck sized blade!

[HEAVEN'S WRATH!]

KAA-BAM!

The sword struck where the Yummy is, finally destroying the resilience Yummy. The impact splintered the ground, creating fissure splitting across the area destroying not just the Neko Yummy but also other Yummy getting caught in it as well. This combine with the missile barrage that Chris unleashed prior have taken down a significant amount of monsters in the area.

With the dust settled, Chris smirked at her handwork.

"Well, one thing cant deny is Idol-san over here ain't that bad as a dance partner." Chris thought.

Tsubasa herself didn't linger long, she quickly turned to where Hibiki and the Kabuto Yummy are. However, the moment she reached the two, the battle is already concluded in a no less flashy manner compare to what she and Chris did.

Moment prior, when the Neko Yummy blocked Tsubasa and Chris's path. When Hibiki saw the other two Gear Users can't rush to help her, she admittedly got a little worry. However, that more of the fact she can't give support to the two. But that thought is quickly shook away by the cream haired girl, she understand among the three of them she is still the most inexperienced one. She has to believe the other two will be able to handle their enemies easily, the girl believe once Chris and Tsubasa can put the past grief behind the two will be an incredible duo, that's because Hibiki has saw how strong each of them are. How the two of them, despite their difference, still fight with unwavering conviction. That is something Hibiki herself need to be able to do as well, and now she has, she doesn't enjoy battle. Nor does the girl believe she has a so called talent for it, but, if it allow her to protect other from harm like the Noises and Yummy then Tachibana Hibiki will never back down!

Playing Gekisou no Gungnir.

The Gungnir User take the initiative this time, kicking off the ground leaving a small crater behind. She launched herself like a human sized bullet at Kabuto Yummy, who in response tried to intercept the girl's charge and throw a punch at her. Yet at the last moment, the cream haired girl pivoted herself. This allowed her to duck underneath the blow, she quickly used this chance to go for a quick jab at the Yummy's outstretched limb, specifically underneath its armpit. The lightning jab blow a small spark where it hit and also draw an annoyed grunt from the bug monster. In response, it went to grab for the girl's offended fist. However, Hibiki also went for a grab herself. The girl grabbed onto the limp right arm, with a swift movement she throw the Kabuto Yummy over her shoulder, slamming it hard to the ground creating a big crack on the concrete.

The Yummy let out a pained grunt, however it quickly recovered. The bug monster in its downed form, reached up and grabbed Hibiki's neck. This make the cream haired girl choked in surprise, admittedly she expected the Kabuto Yummy to be stunted for a few more seconds at least for her to gain some distance. But reality is often disappointing, the Yummy didn't let the throw hinder its movement. It quickly retaliated by locking Hibiki in place with one arm on her neck, the other hand formed to a fist and punched into the girl's left cheek given their position.

WHAM!

The strike make Hibiki grunted in pain, as the same time star exploded in her view of vision. And a taste of iron filled her mouth, all of this happened at the exact same time. The force of the punch also send her rolling, giving the Yummy a chance to get back up. With an angry screech, the Kabuto Yummy horn's glowed with energy. It then flung its head, shooting out energy projectile from its horn. Seeing this, Hibiki quickly get in defense position. The girl parried the energy shot with her arms in swift and fluid movement, some of the blow is too strong for her to simply bat away so she instead dodged it completely. This make the strike hit the ground where she stood and exploded, with the flame of destruction and dust kicked up the Yummy lose sight of Hibiki temporarily.

Yet that is the chance the cream haired girl needed, inside the smoke the girl pulled back the mechanism on her right arm. With an inhale the girl have an expression of concentration as she gathered the Gungnir's energy to her right fist, then, she roared. As the same time Hibiki shot out of the smoke, the force dispersed them completely. She shot toward the Kabuto Yummy like a speeding bullet, her right arm cocked back. The Gungnir's gauntlet mechanism on said arm activated in response, once she is in the distance the girl throw the punch right when the gauntlet activated its boosting function. At the same time, the Kabuto Yummy also went for a right hook aiming for the girl's head as well. It is confident with its own strength and the girl's own speed, if this hit land no doubt the girl brain will be crushed!

At that moment, the two fists passed by each other, collided side by side drawing spark as they continue on to their destination. Hibiki and the Kabuto Yummy sense is pushed to the peak for this deadly exchange, yet in the end it is Hibiki who proved to be slightly nimbler. She shifted her head to the left at the last second, feeling the wind pressure gazing her cheek drawing a scratch of blood. All the while her fist smashed right into the face of the Kabuto Yummy. The powerful force piercing through it, breaking the sound barrier and drawing a sonic boom!

BAM!

For a moment, the Yummy stood still with Hibiki's fist still grinding on its face. The next second it stumbled back, letting out an incomprehensible gurgle before exploded into a rain of Cell Medals.

Hibiki let out a big sigh from the dangerous battle, the force of their impacts prevented any Noises to come in to interrupt. The girl watched the spot where the Kabuto Yummy got destroyed, she exhaled with a bright smile. The girl still remember when Eiji handled this Yummy along with its equally powerful sibling while she can do nothing but watch, she isn't someone who take joy in showing off her strength or proving superiority to other. Rather, the girl simply want to...

"I am still chasing you Eiji-kun, I should be catching up right?" Hibiki thought hopefully.

Only then, by catching up to him can it be her turn to protect her savior after all.

And this was the moment Tsubasa arrive to assist Hibiki, only to find out she has taken care of the Yummy already.

"Good job, Tachibana." Tsubasa said.

"Thanks, Tsubasa-san." Hibiki said giddily, nodding her head.

"Oi, I would like to sit back and talk about our glorious victory as well." Chris said dryly, walking up to them as she looked around. "But how about we save that for when we actually win okay?" She asked sarcastically.

After all, there are still quite an amount of Noises and Trash Yummy surrounding the trio. Following the defeat of the two Yummy, the Noises and Trash Yummy also started to regroup.

"Alright that's a promise! After this battle let's us all go to have a celebrating meal together!" Hibiki exclaimed happily, slamming her fist to her open palm.

"Oi, you do realize I was, argh forget it!" Chris exclaimed with frustration.

"Heh." Tsubasa merely have a small smile.

At the other side, while the three Gear Users was dealing with the Yummy, OOO and Ankh handled their own numbers of Noises. With OOO's Scorching Combo speed and Ankh's aerial bombardment, it didn't take long for the duo to take down all the Noises surrounding them. The numbers went up to almost around a thousand if not more, it's also this time that OOO noticed the girl's victory over the Yummy.

"Hibiki-chan and other, they are improving at such a fast pace." OOO noted happily.

"Hah, don't be so excited, you known as well as I do it just some malnutrition Yummy with barely any Cell Medals invested in them." Ankh said dismissively. "It expected of them to be able to handle those low grade."

As far as praising go, the Core Medals Rider suppose this is a pretty decent one to get out from the bird Greeed.

"Right, right. Whatever you said your Highness." OOO said, shaking his head. "Man~ you can never be honest huh? Ankh."

"...You know, I think I missed a spot." Ankh said, lifting his hand on fire.

Needless to said, the Rider know where he planning to aim next.

"Oi, it just a joke Ankh." OOO said, waving his hands in front of him frantically.

Sure he probably can outrun whatever attack Ankh throw at him, but still!

BOOM!

It was then an explosion hit right where OOO is standing, throwing him back.

"Oi Ankh! You serious?!" OOO asked in shock.

"Idiot! Obviously it not me!" Ankh snapped back as he looked up. "Bold for them to take on the sky when I'm around!" He exclaimed angrily.

Flying in an even higher altitude than the Greeed are dozen of Noises that shaped alike air carrier, they circled around the battlefield and their big size cast a giant shadow over the Rider and the Gear Users on the ground.

"Uwah, that some big Yummy over our head."

Hibiki said frantically as she punched another Noises away.

"That's not all the problem we have."

Chris added with a grim expression, shooting another Noise. Next to her, Tsubasa also have a troubled expression as she bisect a Noise in half.

"They way to high up, do we have a way to reach such a height? There is no tall building around for me to use..." Tsubasa thought, mind already racing for a battle strategy.

In her time fighting against the Noises it not that the bluenette never have to deal with an airborne enemy. It just that they have never reach this ridiculous size, plus where they fight usually have a high place that allow Kazanari to use as an opportunity to land a killing blow. The Ame no Habakiri's Wielder have no doubt this too was another scheme by Fine, she picked this location of empty spot to utilize these airborne enemy to its fullest.

And true to what Yukine said, the Noises as bad as it is, are not the only problem. Despite being smaller compare to the Noises, the bird monster flying with them in the sky is very familiar to Ankh and OOO. It is shaped like a humanoid parrot with striking red colored feather mix with a hint of blue, the Red Oumu Yummy looked down at them with its sharp gaze. A hint of amber still flicker around its beak, showing it is the one who fired at the Rider just now.

"Tch, to use my Yummy in front of me. You have nerve, Fine." Ankh growled.

He then fly up to the same altitude as the bird monster and the Noises, without saying anything else, Ankh flung a fireball at the Red Oumu Yummy. There is no need for words to the Greeed, a Yummy who doesn't listen to their Greeed should disappear!

Ankh without saying another words, waved his hand. A wave of intense flame shot out and strike the Yummy, however, instead of being reduced to ash the Red Oumu Yummy eyes shined an ominous hue of blue then revealed an extra pair of wings filled with Noises colors. With a flap of all its wing, the Yummy batted away the flame and the shockwave even momentarily pushed Ankh back.

At a secluded location, seeing everything through the view of the bird Yummy is Poseidon sitting on a chair with one leg crossing another in a leisure manner.

"Hm, you were feeling bore with those punching bags right? So I specifically prepared this main courses for you, free of charge." Poseidon said with an amused grin, his eyes flashed in an ominous blue hue. "But really, all this watching have been pushing me to the brink! You are smart to know when to finally start being serious Fine, otherwise I would have crushed you out of boredom myself." He said letting out an annoyed sigh.

After all, he has to admit, the woman sure know how to set up a fun playground. Since he know it coming soon anyway, he can tolerate a few more minutues of boredom.

"What!?"

Back to the Greeed, Ankh is shocked as to be expected. Despite the shockwave barely did anything to him, the fact that a Yummy can exert this much strength against another Greeed especially the one they answer to is unthinkable.

"That damn Poseidon, beside feeding it Noises he also given this much power to it? That thing really is an annoying bastard!" Ankh thought angrily.

Not to mention, because of Poseidon's tinkering, the Yummy's projectile isn't a fireball anymore. It simply a form of pure energy orb meaning Ankh natural resistance to fire is useless here, isn't that wonderful?

At that moment, both the Red Oumu Yummy and the air Noises fired everything they have! Volley of energy orb and Noises colored projectile assaulted Ankh and the rest of the gang on the ground, with the bird Greeed at least he can maneuver around them given his freedom in the sky. But the same can't be said for the rest, with the enemies having position advantage, there is no where for OOO and the Songstresses to hide from their sight, as such they endured the full front of the attack.

"Uwah!"

"Damn it!

"Kuh!"

"Gah!"

The shout of pain and surprised from all four mixed in together, they get throw around like ragdoll with the explosions hitting them. Of course, in the process all the Noises and Trash Yummy around them got taken out as well but that was hardly a big price to paid for Fine when it come to dealing a heavy blow to OOO and the Gear Users.

Currently, all four of them are groaning in pain as they all lying in a deep crater. Right before the full force hit them, OOO tried to use his Medaljalibur to send multiple energy slashes, Tsubasa summoned a giant sword as shield, Chris fired down as many projectile as she can and Hibiki also help out by throwing multiple powerful punches. As one can see, this still didn't prevent the group from suffering damage but at the very least they have minimized the forces somewhat. If not, no doubt they would have suffer more grievous wounds, to the point continuing to battle is impossible and they might even lose their life.

"Damn it...if only I could bring out some Reflector Bit..." Chris grunted from her spot.

Due to tackling the enemy waves by herself initially, Chris have used up some of the Reflector Bit. The white haired girl has thought she could simply wait for them to recharge, not expecting to face such a powerful line up out of nowhere.

"I could find a way to leap up there but..." Tsubasa said, doubting her own words as she stood up shakily. All of them have sooth of dirt and light wounds covering their bodies while OOO's armor also have minor damage all over the place. "...I doubt our mobility will match the opponents that build for air combat." She said.

The girl watching how Ankh is flying across the sky, throwing fireball at the Noises and Yummy with the latter dodging skillfully and returning fire at the same time. And due to the number disadvantage, Ankh can't keep all of them occupied at the same time, meaning either the Noises or the bird Yummy will have the free time they need to fire another volley of projectile at the group.

"I can try and punch them down?" Hibiki said, half unsure herself.

"That sure sound like you alright." Chris said with a deadpan, turning her gaze upward as well. "Or, we can show why we are civilized...and let me shoot them all down. All I need is a moment to gather some breath." She finished with a grin.

"I seriously doubt where do you learn the word 'civilized', because I'm pretty sure you have a different interpretation for it compare to the rest of us." Tsubasa said with a sigh, nonetheless the girl given a questioning stare to Chris. "True enough, with what I know about the Ame no Habakiri and the Gungnir, it is not best suited for this situation. Are you sure if we give you the time you need, you can take down the enemies?" She asked.

"Hah, no need to double check fact, that is a given for sure. Ain't no way my Ichaival will fall short at time like this." Chris meet the challenge head on with a confident and mocking smile. "Rather, I should ask if it too much trouble for Idol-san to give me only few minutes. Is that too hard? I can accept a minute I suppose." She said, crossing her arm under her bust.

The bluenette's eyes twitched for a second, she then closed it while having a calm smile.

"Fufufufu. Alright, I will give you that few minutes you ask for. I do hope the Ichaival's name isn't just for show as well." Tsubasa said, swinging her sword to the side.

All the while, both Hibiki and OOO just watched the duo heated yet, camaraderie exchange (they think?).

"I guess we decided on a plan then?"

Hibiki asked, one can almost see a question mark hang above her head, as she look at OOO.

"I guess so..." OOO shrugged.

The two barely have said anything, not that they have a chance to. It almost as if the other two decided their vote is nonexistent.

"Oi! If you all done twirling your thumbs around, these guys not gonna shot themselves down!" Ankh snapped at them.

His angry shout actually carried all the way down to where they are due to the sheer volume, as stated the Yummy's additional power isn't enough to said it can defeat a Greeed like Ankh. But at the same time, the teamwork it showing with the Noises also make it hard for Ankh to land a crippling blows. So it become of a drag along show in the air and the Greeed didn't have a patient to let this prolong, he want to get this done right away! Ankh sure if they drag this on he could eventually win with some scuffle here and there, or, those guys down there could do something and poke a hole to these trashes teamwork, this would allow Ankh to finish them off right away.

"Well you heard the fry chicken." Chris said, poking her ear with an annoyed expression. Then her grin returned as she look at the bluenette. "So we are doing this then, don't make me disappoint, Swordsman-san."

"Hmph."

Tsubasa decided words simply is not needed anymore, demonstration is the best answer.

Seeing this, Tachibana gripped both her fists in front of her face in an encouraging manner.

"Alright I will try my best too." Hibiki said with a huff.

The girl know at this distance her punch and kick is a bit useless but that not gonna stop her. Meanwhile, OOO stared up for a second. The Rider seems to be debating something in his mind before he come to a decision, he took out all three gray colored Core Medals, an action that quickly attracted the attention of all the three Gear Users.

"Eiji-kun..." Hibiki said.

The girl put a hand on his arm with a worried look.

"Oi, don't push yourself idiot." Chris said.

Tsubasa said nothing but she and Yukine share the same frown. Seeing this, the Rider shook his head.

"This is the best Combo for me to use at this time already." OOO said in a placating manner.

After all, the height is too high up plus the strength the Yummy displayed make it seems like the mismatch Combo would be moot. That leave the Full Combo, now he has three to consider. The Blazing Combo, the Invincible Combo and the Gravity Combo. The former two are actually much more taxing for him, probably only matched by the Strongest Combo. Granted the Gravity Combo strain is no joke for him either, especially since he already using a Combo right now. But OOO is betting on the fact his body has recovered and it have been used to Combo effect now, hence he decided to use the grey Core Medals.

"Alright, but I am grounding you if I found you hurt because of this got it?" Hibiki said with a pout.

"Hahaha, roger." OOO said with a nod.

With a swift movement, he switched out the yellow Core Medals for the gray Core Medals. Pushing the Driver he then scanned it.

"Alright, here I go."

As the same time, Chris closed her eyes as energy can be seen gathering around the girl. Hibiki and Tsubasa looked up with the former pulling back her fist and the latter enlarging her sword.

[SAI-GORILLA-ZOU! SAGOHZO-SAGOHZO!]

"Sure took their sweet time." Ankh grumbled.

From where he is, the Greeed can still clearly see OOO changing the Combo while Tsubasa and Hibiki start throwing attack up to where the Noises and Yummy are. The monsters in turn retaliated, suddenly the sky is filled with clash of energy slash, shockwave from punches, energy orb and Noises projectile hitting against each other. The sky is lit up with explosions after explosions, this also give Ankh the perfect chance to charge in and slam a burning fist to the Red Oumu Yummy, dragging it away from the Noises.

"Got you!" Ankh thought viciously.

The Greeed have really been waiting to do this, even though it barely been few minutes but the insolent Yummy have already pissed him off. The Greeed then rise up his palm as it swirling with intense heat, just when he intent to give the Yummy a burning slap right to the face, the Yummy exploded with mixture of Noises and Medals energy. This knocked Ankh back for a few feet.

"You still struggling?" Ankh said with a growl. "Up till now you probably the most well fed Yummy by that bastard." He said, then if one can seen his expression, they would seen a smirk forming. "Meaning it will be more fun to wreck his toy."

Right at that moment, a massive force washed over the battlefield. It an intense pulling force, making the air carrier Noises and Red Oumu Yummy lose their balance. The latter managed to right itself and use its energy to momentarily resist the pull while the former already getting dragged down to Earth.

"Took you long enough." Ankh thought with a huff.

Down on the ground, the three Gear Users watched in surprise as they see OOO in the most heavy looking set of armor till date. It is gray colored with giant armored gauntlets for both of his hands, the helmet have three horns on it. Overall, the armor give the viewer an instant feeling that it is very strong. And then there is the roaring, like always the moment he changed to a Full Combo, OOO let out a huge roar. That is something the three girls already expected, however, this time he show no sign of stopping and proceed to pound his breastplate chest with the two heavy armored fists.

"Aw great, he gone full monkey for real." Chris said with a sweat-drop.

"Ah, Eiji-kun you should stop that look painful." Hibiki said with a wince.

"Wait, no." Tsubasa hold out a hand, stopping the cream haired girl in his track. "You all can feel it right? The strong energy emitting from him." She said in shock.

Sure enough, the other two recovered their focus and feel the same thing. And even if one don't have a heightened sense, then the surreal feeling of the ground pulling them down is as clear indication as any.

"Woah, this spike of energy..." Sakuya whispered in shock.

Back at the 2nd Division, they are viewing what is happening along with OOO showing a whole new Combo.

"He generating a very strong gravitational field." Aoi said, also reading the stats.

"So the gray armor allow the King to literally rule the land itself..." Ryoko whispered, as if she reciting some ancient text.

Playing Sun Goes Up!

"Brace yourself!" Tsubasa warned.

The girl already stabbed her sword to the ground to steady herself, while Tachibana's legs gears mechanism already extended out to do the same thing. This leave Yukine who stumbled for a bit but both Tsubasa and Hibiki grabbed hold onto both of her arms.

"Now your chance Chris-chan!" Hibiki exclaimed.
