Jack watched as Agira 316 left the island carrying away his friends who were leaving for the island for good. Jack closes his eyes for the final time but as soon as he feel he is about to go; he feels life springing him back and he opens his eyes realising that he is alive and no longer dying. He also realises that the wound on the side of him is no longer there and he is fine. Jack realises he has a new wound on him now that needs to be stitched up and a couple of scratches on him. These are the exact wounds he suffered in the plane crash of Oceanic 815 and understood that this must've been Jacob, because he is now back to the plane crash of Oceanic 815 and this must be what he wants from him, to do for him. Jacob must want Jack to have a second chance to do everything again but this time he knows; he remembers everything, and this must mean that he can complete the task Jacob had made for him and save everyone. Jack saw Vincent run pass him and knew he was correct, he could do this, he could save them all. Jack slowly got up and saw that he was wearing his suit again and had the small liquor bottle in his jacket and smiled with letting out a small laugh at its return. Jack ran as fast as he could through the bamboo forest passing a lost shoe in a tree and made it to the beach, he turned hearing the screams of passengers, especially one in particular; a voice he had recognised but hadn't heard in years, he felt so relieved to hear her voice and knew that he was going to be everyone else's voice besides Shannon. Jack saw the wreckage and people sprawled on the ground around it with others trying to help them, he didn't think that he could remember them in their places, but he did and made his why across the beach and help out, exactly like he did last time. Jack looked around and saw so many faces that he hadn't seen in years but most notably he first saw Charlie in a daze walking toward the engine, obviously high on the heroin he had, he remembered everything him and Charlie had done together like the cave in, drug withdrawal, the attempted hanging by the Others, him and Claire together, Charlie's sacrifice down in the Looking Glass station which allowed the Oceanic Six to leave the island. Jack then realised Claire would be going into false Labour soon and had to help her with Aaron. Jack thought that he couldn't reveal what he knew just yet and had to play everything normal for the moment but felt knew that he could save his sister, get her home to her mother who would probably be still in a coma at the moment but would wake. Make sure she delivers Aaron in a hospital and be able to his mother in a normal environment and not have to suffer island motherhood and not be taken by the monster and turned crazy at the thought of her losing her son, the only person she had left in the world after the man she loved sacrificed himself for her and Aaron. Jack then heard Jin screaming and soon afterward heard Micheal calling out for his son "Walt, Walt".
Jack then heard a man who was trapped under a wheel and went over to him and saw a couple of the people around him including Locke to help out, they all rushed over and helped Jack pulled the man out from under the wheel and used his tie on his leg. Jack then heard Claire screaming "help, please help me, help me, please help me". Jack began to go over to her and informed the others to stay here and with the look on John Locke's face confirmed his suspicion that no one else remembered. Jack raced over to Claire who begged "please, please, please help I'm having contractions".
Jack asked her a question he already knew but had to ask, "how many months pregnant are you".
Claire responded, "I'm nearly eight months".
Jack then asked, "how far apart are they coming".
Claire answered, "I don't know it just happened". Jack then felt the explosion of the man go into the engine and fell over Claire.
Jack held her and told her "listen to me, look at me. You're going to be ok; do you understand me? But you have to sit absolutely still". Claire ground in pain and he saw Boone failure at resuscitating Rose, he saw Hurley looking around and remembered the wing collapse and how he could save them from that, he told him "hey you come over here, I need you take this woman away from these fumes. Take her behind us far away from the plane as possible. Stay with her, if her contractions occur closer then three minutes, call me out to me".
Hurley exclaimed "you gotta be kidding me".
Jack told Claire, "I will be right back".
Claire told Jack "thank you".
Hurley then called out to Jack "hey, what's your name".
Jack answered "Jack". Jack then went over to Boone and Rose, he told Boone "stop, her head's not tilted far back enough, your blowing air into her stomach".
Boone asked "you sure, that's exactly what I was doing. I'm a lifeguard, I'm licensed".
Jack remembered him saying that and his remark, Jack said "you need to think about giving that license back".
Boone suggested "maybe we should do one of those hole things. Stick the pen in the throat".
Jack remarked "yeah good idea, you go get me a pen" and Boone left to get a pen.
Jack saved Rose and told her "big deep breaths, deep breaths". He heard the wing collapsing and since he already told Hurley and Claire to not go there but go behind him, he saw no one was going to be crushed and saw Hurley and Claire in the complete opposite direction. This felt like confirmation that he could save them all. Jack went to a suitcase and found a sewing kit and went to a secluded spot where he could get himself stitched up and once, he could reveal the truth to them all. Jack saw he wound and waited for Kate to show herself and when she did, he got her to sew him up and when she finished Jack told her "thank you that good and Kate when we go back, I need to talk to everyone because it late in the afternoon and I need them all to listen to me, so I can get everyone off this island tonight".
Kate responded, "you can't promise that we'll get rescued, but you can't promise when".
Jack informed "I can if you trust me, I can if everyone give their full trust and do everything that I tell tonight".
Kate informed him "that's a tough order".
Jack told her "it would be, if I didn't have a plan".
Kate replied, "well I would like to hear it".
Jack and Kate went back to the wreckage and Jack told her "watch this", he got on top of some bit of wreckage and shouted, "everyone listen up". Jack saw everyone turn towards him and Jack continued "my name is Jack, and I can promise you that if you give me your trust for the next little bit, I can get you all of the island tonight".
Sawyer called out "yeah and how can you promise that".
Jack replied "everyone, this is going to sound crazy, but I know each and everyone one you, we spent a while on this island together and at the end, I was sent back to save you".
Sawyer mocked "so you're saying that you're a time traveller".
Jack answered, "no Sawyer but I can save you all, or should I say James Ford".
Sawyer replied, "how do my name, or my real name as a matter of fact".
Jack answered "because as I said, I know all of you, and I will prove it all to you. Shannon, Boone I know that you a step sibling who while in Sydney had intercourse with each other".
Shannon angrily said, "you lying bastard".
Jack remarked "I think that reaction proves that, but Shannon don't you worry, I have good news for you, meet the man of your dreams, the torturer from Iraq, the man who served in the Republican guard, Sayid Jarrah". Sayid was shocked and looked at Shannon who stood in disbelieve. Jack continued "I have more relationships for you, Rose your husbands on the other side of the island of the island and I will get him back for you. Hurley your future girlfriend is also there as well and I introduce you to her, and to prove I'm not lying to you. Hurley you believe you're cursed by the number 4,8,15,16,23,42". Hurley hearing the numbers took a step back and everyone was now really realising that Jack wasn't sprouting complete rubbish and did know things. Jack walked over to Claire and said, "hello little sister".
Claire said "what, what do you mean, I don't have siblings".
Jack informed her "yes you do, and you know your dad was a doctor in LA who had another family, well he was my dad as well, which makes you; my sister". Claire was shocked at the revelation and Jack continued "I also know that you're baby is going to be okay, and his name is Aaron. I also know that your boyfriend left you and the only reason you came on this flight because you were going to give the baby to a couple in LA for $6,000 now and another $6,000 when you returned". Claire become even more shocked, by each truthful revelation and Jack then said "I also know that your true love is on the island, a man who will never abandon you or Aaron, who will even sacrifice himself to save you both and I would like to introduce to you Charlie Pace, base guitarist in Drive Shaft and current drug addict, addicted to heroin.
Charlie was in shock and look at Claire and knew Jack was telling the truth because she was the most beautiful woman he had ever seen. Claire then said, "I'm about to have a baby and your telling me that my true love is a drug addict".
Charlie hurtfully stated "hey".
Claire responded, "sorry um Charlie, it's not personal, it's just a little scary finding out about your future love and his current state".
Jack then told Charlie "Now Charlie, I suggest you get off the drugs so you two can live happily ever after and know Charlie, that you do not need heroin around you for safety because you can do this".
Charlie listened and then asked, "hang on, did you say I sacrificed myself for her".
Jack answered "yes, I did and from my last point of view a lot of you were already dead, but it doesn't have to be that way, were changing the future and instead of most of us being stuck on this island for years, we are getting off right now". Jack then saw Ethan sneaking around everyone and about to flee into the jungle and Jack called out to him "Ethan, Ethan". Ethan turned around and then tried to run away into the jungle, which annoyed Jack, but he knew what to say to get him to stop "Ethan, Jacob sent me". Ethan immediately stopped and turned to face them all.
Ethan asked, "how do know about Jacob".
Jack answered, "because he sent me here, how else would I know about everyone unless Jacob sent me".
Ethan listened and asked, "what dose Jacob want".
Jack informed him "to save the island and get all my friends off, using your delightful submarine to get us back home. So, I need you to lead us all back to the Barracks and for you to bring Ben out to us".
Ethan nodded in compliance and Jack exclaimed "alright everyone up for a hike to the Barracks".
Everyone began to journey through the jungle, and all were stunned in silence with the events of the last ten minutes and were now trekking to the jungle because a man who knows the future is getting someone to lead them by the way. Charlie looked around for Claire and begun walking besides her and said "hey, you feeling okay".
Claire responded "well I've just survived a plane crash, I'm eight months pregnant, and I'm walking through the jungle besides my future soulmate because a man from the future told me, who also turns out to be my secret brother. So, Charlie to answer your question I'm not doing well".
Charlie told her "sorry about your boyfriend, who I'm assuming is the baby's father, he was an arsehole for leaving you, especially in this condition".
Claire responded, "thanks and if your already a better boyfriend and father to my son whose name I don't have to worry about because it's already been given to me, but thankfully I like Aaron because it would be horrible to not like your baby's name".
Charlie listened and then asked, "really better boyfriend and father, so you believe everything you heard".
Claire answered, "have to because, he was right about everything else and what about you".
Charlie told her "yeah I'm a drug addict and I don't want to be, I always wanted to get off but never had a real reason to not too".
Claire informed him "well you got one now because if you want to be in my or my son's life, no drugs, got it".
Charlie "yes mam".
Kate listened to this and walked up to Jack and said, "is this what you meant earlier".
Jack answered "yes".
Kate asked, "what do you know about me".
Jack answered, "I know about why you were on the plane and what you did".
Kate asked, "do I have a chance on the outside or do I have to continue to run".
Jack told her "I really can't say but anything is possible".
Kate upset said "okay thanks anyway".
The group maintained a few group chatters, especially during breaks and nearly every single one was had about Jack but were to scared to ask him. It was very late at night when they made it to the sonar fence which Jack explained "this is a fence that if we cross will cause cerebral haemorrhage unless Ethan here turns it off".
Ethan turned it off, but nobody crossed the line and Sawyer said, "we followed you out here to this thing and tell us it's dangerous, now we have to actually believe he turned it off".
Jack reminded Sawyer "not to worry, I trust him because it's what Jacob wants and they will not go against Jacob, they're not stupid enough to try".
Sawyer then stated, "who the hell is Jacob and why do they listen to him no matter what".
Jack told them "they follow Jacob and will do anything he says".
Sawyer remarked "well I think we would like to meet him as well".
Jack informed him "we can't because he wont allow us too and all he wants is us off the island".
Sawyer then said, "well I agree with him on that, but I do not like being told I'm not allowed to talk to someone".
Jack said, "it's just the way it is and now let's go the houses and get off this island".
Sawyer relented and they all followed Ethan through the perimeter and Ethan turned it back on. Jack remark "well it's a good thing none of us ran into the monster".
Charlie remarked "monster".
Jack told them "yeah it's a black smoke monster that wants to kill us all but no need to worry it cant come through that barrier".
Shannon remarked "well that's one good thing".
They all followed Ethan to the houses of the Barracks and Sayid remarked "when we crashed, I didn't think that tonight I would be looking at houses, I thought we would have tarps sleeping on the beach together".
Shannon said, "well thankfully not because I would hate to spend one night on that horrid piece of sand".
Sayid remarked "well this is less believable then you and me together, but I guess we have got to accept unusual things that we don't expect".
Shannon agreed and they all then had guns pointed at them and Juliet remarked "Ethan what is god's name are you doing".
Ethan told her "I'm bringing the crash survivors here".
Juliet asked, "why did you do that, Ben said to observe them and create lists".
Claire asked, "what lists".
Jack told her "don't worry about it".
Ethan said, "I'm bringing them here because he asked me to bring them here because it's apparently what Jacob wanted".
The Others all took a step back and Jack stated, "I want to talk to Ben because Jacob sent me".
The Others all looked in shock and Ben walked out to greet them excitedly and introduced himself "hello everyone, I'm Benjamin Linus and this is our home".
Jack spoke "Ben, I want you to call off your men who are going to attack the other crash survivors camp, I want you to politely and nicely bring them here and I want every one of us 815 survivors and Juliet to get off this island, except me, Locke and Kate if she chooses".
Kate asks, "why do I get a choice and why Locke".
Jack tells her "because you can either stay here with me or you can leave and try your luck with the courts because if you leave; you will be arrested upon return and Locke because he will like it here a lot more there the outside and will want to live here".
Sawyer asks, "why will she be arrested".
Jack tells them "because she is a wanted woman on the run". The people around Kate take a step back and Jack continues "you have a choice Kate".
Ben asks, "now why should I do all that".
Jack tell him "because Jacob sent me here and I have to finish his mission, but I will also help you, I can remove the tumour that's on your spine, and I can help you with your Charles Widmore problem".
Ben listened and stated "well, I guess it was Jacob who sent you, to both save me and the island".
Jack informs him "yes, I am and to help you help you with your Charles Widmore problem I want you to later go to the Swan station hatch with Desmond inside and free him because the woman that loves him is Penelope Widmore and if you let Desmond go back to her than they can pass the message that Jacob does not want him near the island. Juliet so she can see her family and be able to fall in love with Sawyer because their together. Also find both the pilot of the plane and the French woman, then allow her a spot here, so she can meet her daughter".
Sawyer and Juliet exclaim "Lovers, what" at the same time.
Jack tells them "yes that is correct and I allowing you to have a chance together like a did for the rest of the group". Sawyer and Juliet looked at each other and accepted.
Ben tells him "that's a lot of knowledge and a lot of request which could have only come from Jacob since you should have no knowledge of this and if that's what Jacob wants then it shall be done because we all serve Jacob here".
Ben immediately called the group about to attack the Tailies and told them "do not attack, talk to them nicely and bring them here because Jacob wants them to go home".
The survivors were all brought into the cafeteria where they were given food and waited until the Tailies, and the pilot arrived. The stunned Tailies and pilot entered the cafeteria and Bernard immediately found and hugged Rose. Jack told them "okay tail section survivors and pilot, my name is Jack and I'm the reason you were brought here to the Barracks instead of being picked off one by one, tomorrow we are going home and away from the island. We will be given a story to tell which will have to be the truth because the world cannot know the real story.
Ana Lucia ask "why".
Jack told her "it's because we will be found somewhere that we would be able to get to and could manage to escape from because we cannot tell them about how we left the island or where the plane really is".
Ana Lucia again ask, "why do we have to do that".
Jack told her "because the fact that we magically crash landed on an island and escaped on a submarine is unbelievable and these guy don't want the island to be found, so for our safety and theirs it's best that we go with the story given because then we can go back to our lives like nothing has happened".
Ana Lucia then asked, "but how are you the one to save us instead of being picked off one by one as you claimed".
Jack answered, "because I was sent here from the future where all of you tail section survivors besides Bernard are dead and I'm here to save you and get you home".
Ana Lucia stated, "so you're from the future".
Sawyer stated, "trust me cupcake, we've already been through this".
Jack then addressed Libby "now Libby you know Hugo over there don't you".
Libby said, "yes I remember him".
Jack continued "yes from Santa Rosa where you were both patients".
Hurley spoke "you were from the hospital".
Libby reluctantly said "yeah".
Jack then said, "good news because Hugo or by his nickname Hurley is your boyfriend and wants to go out on a date with you".
Libby said, "okay just because I needed a little bit of help doesn't make me crazy".
Sawyer then said, "like I said we've already been through this, it all real".
Jack then addressed Ana Lucia and said, "I'll prove it to you because I know that you were a cop and that you were shot and nearly killed but you were also pregnant at the time and lost the child so when your other police officers caught him, you let him go, just to kill him yourself".
Ana Lucia stood aghast at what she heard and didn't respond. Jack then said, "alright since we are all on the same page let's get some sleep because we are leaving the island in the morning".
All nearly eighty of the survivors slept in the cafeteria and Jack noted how some of the couples who had no idea who each other were a few hours ago are sleeping next to each other like Hurley and Libby, Shannon and Sayid, Charlie and Claire, and he was even sleeping next to Kate. They all woke up the next morning to tell them "morning 815er's, get ready to board the submarine for your trip to an island near Bali".
Ana Lucia asked, "is this where we are going to fake our survival story".
Ben answered, "yes miss Cortez because it's the only way we get what we all what".
Ana Lucia asked, "well as long I get off this island and go home, I don't care".
They all headed to the submarine, and they all boarded the submarine except Jack, Kate, and Locke. Kate asked Locke "why didn't you argue, why are you just staying here and not trying to go home".
Locke answered, "you heard Jack and what he said and if he says that I'll like being on the island; more than off then I believe him".
Kate responded, "how do you so much faith in him that you'll give up your entire life to follow him and stay on this island for the rest of your life while everyone thinks you're dead".
Locke guessed "I'm assuming your saying this because it's what you're thinking and want an answer to why you believe him".
Kate said, "you saw right through that huh".
Jack came up to them and said, "everyone else is aboard and ready to go home so Kate, stay or go".
Kate asked, "what do you think".
Jack told her "I think you should stay because you deserve to be free and be with someone who loves and cares for you".
Kate asked, "do you love me".
Jack told her "yes, I do".
Kate stated, "then I'm not leaving because I believe you".
Juliet said her final goodbyes and said, "thank you", to Jack because she was actually going to get to go home. Juliet then entered the submarine and told the captain to dive because they were already to go. They began to dive, and Juliet said, "okay everyone we are going to go on a short journey to a small island near Bali where we can fake your survival and where you will be found by locals and taken to the city where Oceanic officials will be contacted, and you'll be back to your normal lives".
Sawyer asked "okay blondie, who will turn out to my future girlfriend. What's the story".
Juliet said "the story is that the plane crashed into the ocean, and you were the ones to survive the crash, you made it out and floated on wreckage until you made it to land. You made a short journey until you were found by a few locals and then you were brought to the local authorities".
Sayid questioned "is that all, it seems quite simple".
Juliet responded, "the simpler we make it, the more believable it is and since it's not even been 24 hours since the crash it will be easy to fake your survival. Just stick to that basic story and you'll be all fine and can go back to your lives".
Claire noted "with the few additions of a couple extra people in our lives, like the love interest that we met less than 24 hours ago".
Juliet answered, "yeah I'm in the same boat but it got us all off the island and it's nice to actually know if the guy your going out with is a good one".
Claire remarked "I'll say because the last guy I was with left me pregnant and being pregnant or having a baby is not what a lot of men are looking for in a relationship".
Charlie then said, "well a lot of women aren't going to go for a drug addict".
Claire responded, "then don't we make up, one screwed up pairing deemed to fail in a complete disaster".
Charlie said, "your right, it should never work, and we would be stupid to try but I'm still going too because I don't know why but I want it too".
Claire responded, "your right it would be stupid to try but your also right about giving it a go because I want to, too.". Claire thought about what she just said and blurted "I'm eight pregnant and just met you, I shouldn't be saying those thing".
Charlie laughed and said, "your right you shouldn't but how about a date to make you feel better about us".
Claire relented "okay when we get back to Sydney, a date it is".
There was always a bit of chatter about the strangeness of the last day but were relieved to be on their way home and would be able to see their families soon. Juliet later informed them that they arrived and as they exited, she handed Sawyer a piece of paper and said, "use it when you get back to the states", Sawyer looked at the paper that read a phone number and said, "for the future". Sawyer smiled at thought about how easy are to pick up, when they are told that you are their true love. They followed Juliet's instructions and were found by locals; they were brought to the city where Oceanic officials were contacted and soon were on a flight back to Sydney. A few volunteers did the press conference which were The pilot, Ana Lucia, Boone, Sayid, and Hurley while the rest stayed quiet and wanted to leave. They were all given free flights for life on Oceanic airlines, which were all accepted and a flight back to Los Angeles was taken up by most of the survivors with the major exceptions being Charlie, Claire, Jin, and Sun with Charlie and Claire deciding to stay in Sydney and Jin and Sun returned home to Seoul.
On the island Jack led the Others to the heart of the island where they were met by Jacob. Jacob told them "congratulations Jack, you've managed to succeed in your second chance, now are you ready to protect the island and accept again".
Jack said, "I am".
Jacob filled some water in a bottle and whispered to it, Jack drank the water and Jacob put his hand on Jack's shoulder and said, "now you're like me". Jacob then said, "now there is one last thing to do, you ready".
Jack said "yes", and Jacob handed Jack a dagger and to the shock of everyone Jack stabbed Jacob multiple times until he died.
Ben remarked "I cannot believe that what I just saw is what Jacob wanted".
Jack informed him "It is because Jacob wanted to die and for me to take his place as protector of the island".
Suddenly the black smoke monster appeared taking the form of his father Christian. Who said "thank you for killing him for me, saves the me the trouble of finding a loophole. Now are you going to tell me why".
Jack informed him "to go to the heart of the island and turn off the light".
The monster asked, "now why would you want to do that".
Jack answered, "because you are going to win, or we are, so let's see who does". Jack leads everyone to the hole with the light inside and Jack lowers himself down to pull out the rock. He does and the light stops, the monster begins to leave thinking that his time on the island was over and could leave the island, but the Others immediately shot the monster. The monster realised that he was now mortal and was dying, the Others shot the monster dead and went to help Jack up from the pool. Jack called out "is it dead".
Kate called down "yeah Jack, your plan worked; it's dead".
Richard added "yeah it was and thankfully it worked".
Jack responded "great, now I have to turn it back on again, then pull me up".
Kate replied, "got it Jack".
Jack placed the rock back inside and even though it was really starting to affect him, he crawled out of the pool just as the water was flowing back through and the light turned back on. Jack slowly made his way back to the rope and Kate pulled him up and he ask the Other's "have you got Desmond yet".
Richard replied, "yes Jack, we got him out and when the submarine returns, he'll be back on it and already knows the plan to tell his girlfriend to stop Charles Widmore".
Jack then asked, "what about Rousseau, the French woman in the jungle".
Richard replied, "it took a while but after seeing Alex, see agreed to come and live in the Barracks as one of us".
Jack replied "good, now we can continue protecting the island as it always has been without the monster on the island that wants to kill us all".
Kate remarked "that's always a good thing".
The all went back to the Barracks. Jack with the help of Kate, Locke, and the Others protected the island and made sure they kept updates on the Oceanic 815 survivors. Jin and Sun went back to Seoul where Sun stood up to her father and now Sun own majority in the company. They are expecting their first child which surprised Sun because before the island Jin was sterile. Rose's cancer went away for good and can continue her marriage with Bernard. Micheal and Walt are together in New York with his mother helping out. Sawyer and Juliet are now dating, and they took a road trip to Florida to see Juliet's sister and nephew, Sawyer decided to see his daughter Clementine because after his short encounter on the island and being with Juliet made him want to be in her life. Libby went on a picnic date with Hurley and was shocked to see where he lived, they are now living together in Hurley mansion. Sayid decided to move to LA and went on a couple of awkward dates with Shannon. They became unsure about their relationship and if they should continue but with them both working minimum wage jobs, they needed to rent together. This brought them closer together and both decided that their relationship was worth continuing. Boone continued to work with his mother but still had a strong platonic relationship with his sister. Eko after his unusual circumstances on the island decided to become a real priest because the lord was his shepherd. Ana Lucia made sure the kids Zack and Emma made it home to their mother and then made up with her mother. Charlie and Claire had a hard relationship which they both fought hard for, but she wouldn't leave him while he was going through withdrawals and thankfully got the worst out before she went into Labour. Charlie was there for her during Labour and would be their for her to look help look after Aaron. Nikki and Paulo were devastated about the millions in diamonds they lost but Nikki still had her career as an actress and was brought back to Expose and got Paulo cast as well. In the show he was her partner in crime for a murder they committed; all for millions of dollars' worth of diamonds. The irony did not pass them but acted normally to not expose the actual murder they committed for diamonds which they lost. Desmond made his way home and found Penny and together they told her father to not look for the island, which he tried to reject any knowledge of but when Desmond brought up that Jacob wanted him to stop looking for the island and moved on, Charles listened and stopped looking for the island. Desmond and Penny restarted their relationship and made sure that they were never far apart again because they've spent far too long apart and needed to be together.
