So just recently finished a re-watch of EMH (last time I'd seen it was almost 5 years ago now, and time flies by fast!), and got this idea.

While I love MCU a lot (mainly most of Phases 1-3, the Netflix shows except Iron Fist Season 1 and Jessica Jones Season 2, Agents of SHIELD, Agent Carter, The Runaways, Cloak and Dagger, as well as No Way Home, Werewolf by Night, GOTG Holiday Special and I am Groot and GOTG Volume 3 and Deadpool & Wolverine in Phases 4 and 5), EMH is the best adaptation of Marvel easily, and lots of characters in EMH are their definitive versions IMO, such as Iron Man, Thor, Hulk, Hawkeye, Ms. Marvel, Kang, and a few more.

Steve Rogers aka Captain America looked down from the roof of the Avengers Mansion, looking at the people walking by. They hated him now.

All because of what the Skrull in his form had done, including making it look like he'd sold humanity to the Skrulls.

But now the Skrulls had been taken down, and he'd personally taken out that Skrull in his form, who clearly never understood why humans were so resilient.

Hearing metal footsteps next to him, he sighed. "Tony."

"It wasn't you Cap, they'll see it eventually", Iron Man assured him.

"I know", Cap simply said with a shrug.

"How do you do that?" Iron Man inquired.

"Do what?"

"Keep going on, even in a time like this", Iron Man pointed out. "Everyone hates you, and still, in spite of that, you're continuing to do the right thing, and helping them, without caring about it. I'm kind of affected by what the public says about me from time to time. Okay, more than kind of."

"Actions speak louder than words, Tony", Captain America said as he turned to him. "They may hate me, but the truth is never hidden for long. They may believe I sold them out to the Skrulls right now, but when they see me doing what I do, they'll not believe that any longer. Besides, as long as even one man stands against the villains, they can never win, regardless of anything."

Iron Man tried to say something, but couldn't, just processing what Cap had said, as he continued. "As long as I do the right thing, we all do the right thing, nothing else matters."

With that, he walked off, Iron Man knowing who really should be team leader now.

And that's done.

I'll also try to write more of EMH fics now, this show is phenomenal, as is The Spectacular Spider-Man.
