"Welcome to Beacon." a girl with Short black hair and red end said while Lying on the ground.

"Are you fine?" She heard a voice asking her, she turned her head to face who was asking.

She saw a boy with Blonde hair and brown eyes, he wore a full white suit, he wore a blue tabard with red Lin on it. His height was 5'7 feet.

He was extending his hand for her to stand up.

"Thanks," Ruby said and accepted his help. Once she stood she decided to introduce herself. "I'm Ruby Rose."

"Kurapika Kurta." The boy named Kurapika introduced himself. "Are you the one who caused the explosion?"

Ruby's face became red; she shook her head and said. "It wasn't my fault. White Princess was swinging Dust bottles in front of my face, and I sneezed." She explained herself.

"White princess?" Kurapika asked in confusion.

"Yea, I think her name was Weiss Schnne." Ruby told Kurapika.

Kurapika's eyes sparked in recognition. "Oh Weiss Schnee, the Heir of SDC."

"So... I got this baby," Ruby said as she showed Crescent Rose.

"A scythe?" Kurapika said while looking at Crescent Rose.

"Yeah, Its name is Crescent Rose; I built it when I was in signal. Oh, It's also a sniper Rifle." She said as she turned her Scythe into Sniper.

Kurapika's eyes were pinned on Crescent Rose and asked in admiration. "You built that weapon yourself?"

"Yes! It was so much fun when I created my baby." Ruby said with a prideful smile. "So what about you?" Ruby asked as she turned her head toward him.

"I have this," Kurapika said as he showed his weapon, it was two swords connected by a thread. He quickly drew them to reveal their blades.

"So, is there anything special about them?" Ruby asked as she looked at his weapon.

"No, there's nothing really special about them," Kurapika answered Ruby's question while sheathing his swords.

"So the classic type," Ruby said while looking at Kurapika's swords with a disappointed gaze. As if she realized something, she quickly apologized. "I'm sorry; I didn't mean anything bad about your weapon; as you see, I'm a big weapons lover, and I love to know everything about people's weapons and how they work!" Ruby quickly explained herself.

Kurapika smiled as he said. "Don't worry about that." He reassured her, he hid swords under his tabard.

Ruby let out a sigh of relief when she heard his response. She raised her head and awkwardly asked him. "So, do you know where we are supposed to go?"

"There." Kurapik pointed towards the campus.

Kurapika and Ruby entered the campus, and Kurapika looked around, and it seemed like they were the last ones to arrive.

"I guess this is goodbye for now," Kurapika told Ruby as he looked at her.

"Yea, See you later!" She said and then turned into red roses and ran away.

Kurapika searched for a seat for himself. Once he found one, he sat there and waited.

Later, a middle-aged man dressed in an all-green suit with silver hair and glasses walked his way before the microphone, aided by a metallic walking cane of some sort.

'That must be Ozpin.' Kurapika thought as he looked at the man with white hair.

"I'll...keep this brief. You have traveled here today in search of knowledge--to hone your craft and acquire new skills. And when you have finished, you plan to dedicate your life to the protection of the people. But I look amongst you, and all I see is wasted energy, in need of purpose – direction. You assume knowledge will free you of this, but your time at this school will prove that knowledge can only carry you so far. It is up to you to take the first step."

After saying that, Ozpin left without saying anything else, leaving shocked students.

'I already have a goal that I must, no matter what, complete.' Kurapika thought darkly as his eyes gained a little red in them but, shortly after, disappeared.

Shortly after, a middle-aged woman with Blonde hair and Glasses took the microphone and said. "You will gather in the ballroom tonight. Tomorrow your initiation begins. Be ready. You are dismissed."

That night, in the ballroom, the hall was nearly full of first-year students, and every one of them had a sleeping bag and luggage.

Ruby was lying on her stomach, and she was writing a letter.

"That's like a big slumber party!" Yang said as she fell on her sleeping bag that was beside Ruby.

Ruby didn't even turn to face Yang as she continued writing. "I don't think Dad would approve of all of the boys here, though."

"I know I do," Yang said while checking the boys; she turned to Ruby and asked. "What are you writing?"

"A letter to the gang back in signal, I promised to tell them all about Beacon and how things are going," Ruby replied with a small smile.

"Aw, that's so cute!" Yang suddenly got knocked back by a pillow.

"Shut up! I didn't get to take my friends with me to school! It's weird not knowing anyone."

"What about Kurapika? She seems pretty nice! Here you go plus one friend!"

Ruby rolled on her back. "Pretty sure Weiss counts as a negative friend; now I'm back to zero."

"There's no such thing as negative friends! you made one friend and one enemy!" Another pillow knocked Yang back.

"Look, it's the first day; the school is filled with friends that you just didn't come to know," Yang told Ruby with a smile.

"That girl.." Ruby said while looking at a girl with black hair reading a book.

"You know her?" Yang asked as she got up.

"She was there in the morning but left before I could say anything to her," Ruby explained.

Suddenly she felt her hand being dragged by Yang.

"Yang!?" Ruby looked at Yang with shock.

"Now is your chance to make a friend!" Yang replied with with a mischievous smile.

In another place, Kurapika could be seen sitting alone, reading a book; he was wearing only his white suit.

"Hey! Can we put our sleeping bag here?" He heard a voice from the side

He turned his head and was faced by two students, the one who asked was a girl with orange hair and green eyes.

The other one was a male who had black hair with a pink line and pink eyes.

"Yeah, I don't mind that," Kurapika told them with a smile.

"Awesome! By the way, my name is Nora Valkyrie, and his name is Lie Ren!" Nora said with an energetic voice as she introduced herself and her friend. "What about you?"

"My name is Kurapika Kurta." Kurapika introduced himself.

"So Do you have any idea who's your partner gonna be?! Me and Ren gonna be a partner!" Nora asked him but she didn't let him answer before she said another thing.

Before she can ask him another thing, Ren puts his hand on her shoulder. "Nora, you need to calm down, I don't think he can keep up with you."

"Don't worry, and no, I still haven't decided who my partner will be," Kurapika replied to her question.

"Awesome! Then you can join Nora's team!" Nora told him her a wide smile.

A small smile appeared on Kurapika's face as he said. "Then I'll take your word." he extended his arm offering a shake.

Nora took his hand and shook it with a lot of energy.

"Nora, let him rest for now; it's already late. We should rest before the exam starts." Ren put a hand on her shoulder.

Nora turned towards him and gasped. "You're right!" She turned to face Kurapika. "I'm sorry! I didn't expect the time to be this late already!"

Kurapika reassured her. "Don't worry about that."

"Then we'll see tomorrow," Ren told Kurapika as he started setting the sleeping bag for himself and Nora.

Kurapika nodded his head and said with a soft smile. "Sure."

The sun rose, announcing the start of a new day; Kurapika was the first to wake up; he went and washed his face, changed back to his previous clothes, and went to the locker room to take his weapons.

Surprisingly, he wasn't the only one in the locker room; he found another girl in the locker room.

She had long red hair in a ponytail, and she wore her battle outfit.

'I feel like I've seen her before.' Kurapika thought as he continued his way toward his locker; it was beside the red-haired girl's locker.

Once he was close enough to look at her face his doubts cleared. She was Pyrrha Nikos, the champion four times.

He opened his locker, but before he took his weapon, he suddenly heard a voice from his side.

"Hi..." He looked at the source and it was Pyrrrha Nikos waving her hand.

"How are you?" She asked him as she took her weapon from her locker.

"I'm fine," Kurapika answered her while retrieving his weapon.

"I didn't expect anyone to wake up this early, are you used to waking up this early?" Pyrrha asked as she put her bronze spear on her back with her Shield.

"I'm used to waking up this early," Kurapika said as he hid his weapon under his clothes.

"Did you decide who will be your partner?" She asked him as she smiled.

"No, I haven't decided yet," Kurapika answered her while shifting his head to face her.

"I think we can be," She tried to say, but she was interrupted by another one.

"You're Pyrrha Nikos, right?" They heard a voice coming from their back. When they looked, there was a girl with white hair and blue eyes.

'Weiss Schnee if I were to guess correctly.' Kurapika thought when he looked at her remembering what Ruby told him about her.

Pyrrha looked at Weiss and answered. "Yes, it's me." she sounded a little uncomfortable but tried to stay respectful.

"That's awesome! I was excited to meet you!" Weiss said as she got closer to Pyrrha, Kurapika took the chance and left.

After one hour

"Would all first-year students report to Beacon Cliff, again-"

Kurapika went to Beacon Cliff as he heard from the microphone. Once he reached the Cliff he was met with Ozpin and Glynda.

He stood on one of the launchers, waiting for the other to come. Not long after, the students came out, and everyone was there.

"For years, you have trained Tobe warriors, and today your abilities will be evaluated in the Emerald Forest," Ozpin said as he took a sip from his Coffee.

"Now I'm sure some of you heard rumors about the assignment of the teams; well, allow us to put an end to your confusion; each one of you will be getting teammates... Today." Glynda explained as she looked from her scroll to the students.

Ruby gasped when she heard what Glynda said. Then Ozpin continued.

These teammates will be with you for the rest of your time here at Beacon, so it's in your best interest to be paired with someone whom you can work well with." Ozpin explained as he took another sip from his coffee." That being said, the first person you make eye contact with after your landing Will be your teammate for the next four years." Ozpin finished his explanation.

Kurapika heard Ruby say, "What?" and also heard Nora tell Ren, "I told you!"

"After you partner up, make your way to the northern end of the forest; you will meet opposition along the way. Do not hesitate to destroy everything, or you will die," Ozpin said while looking at each one of them. "You will be monitored and graded for the duration of initiation, but our instructors will not intervene. You will find an abandoned temple at the end of the path containing several relics; each pair will choose one and return to the top of the cliff; we will need to guard that item and grade you appropriately."

Ozpin finished his explanation. "Are there any questions?" ozpin looked at them. "Good, now take your position."

Kurapika took his swords and drew them, returning the sheaths under his clothes. And took his position.

Once it was his turn to get launched, he prepared himself and got launched into the air.

He looked down, searching for a good tree that he could use to land safely; He spotted a tree with a small branch, so he decided to use it.

When he was close enough to the branch, he threw one of his swords and made it wrap around the branch, then caught it swiftly and used the force to rotate himself and jump over the branch.

Once he landed he looked around him, scanning the area under him.

I made an edit for the chapter; it was Ren's Eyes. It was written as brown, so I went and corrected it.
