Kurapika jumped off the branch and safely landed on the ground, then he started walking to the north.
On his way, he stopped when he noticed that he was being followed. When he looked to his right, he was met with Ursa, who was charging at him.
He jumped to the right, barely dodging the Ursa's attack; once he landed, he drew his swords and charged at the Ursa's leg.
He quickly slashed through one of the Ursa's legs leading the Ursa to trip. He then jumped over its head and spun his body to gain more power on his strike. He quickly cut Ursa's head, leading it to fall to the ground. Ursa's body started disintegrating into a black mist.
But before Kurapika could relax, another Ursa came from his back, but before the Ursa could attack, its neck got pierced by a bronze spear from above.
Then a girl came and kicked the spear, making it go even deeper into Ursa's neck and exit from its other side.
"So, I guess we're partners..." Pyrrha said with a small smile, as she took her spear and jumped from Ursa's head.
A small smile appeared on his face. "I guess so. My name is Kurapika, Kurapika Kurta."
"Pyrrha, Pyrrha Nikos."
Both Pyrrha and Kurapika are standing in front of a cave entrance, Pyrrha decided to ask. "Do you think that's the place?"
Kurapika thought before he answered. "No, but we shouldn't ignore the possibility that the relics are here." He looked at Pyrrha. "But first, we need to get the light source to go inside."
Pyrrha thought for a second before she took a stick and lit it using some fire dust.
"I think this will do." She said as she held the torch
Kurapika nodded and let Pyrrha guide them. When they went inside they felt the humidity of the cave.
They were walking for several minutes when Pyrrha said. "Kurapika, I don't think this is where the relics are.."
"I think you might be right. We've gone deep, and there's still no sign of the relics," Kurapika said as he observed the cave.
Suddenly they stopped when they saw a yellow light floating in the air. Pyrrha and Kurapika looked at each other and nodded. Pyrrha turned the torch off and dropped it quietly, and then both of them started to retreat without making a noise, but it was too late; the deathstalker already opened its red eyes and looked at them.
"RUN!" Kurapika cried as he started running back.
Pyrrha started running after Kurapika without thinking.
"We need a plan!" Pyrrha told Kurapika as she caught up to him.
"We can't deal with it alone!" Kurapika said as he looked at his back, and the Deathstalker was running towards them as if its life depended on it.
"Pyrrha! Can you use your weapon to destroy the cave entrance?"
Pyrrha looked at Kurapika and said. "Yes, I can."
"Good. Listen, when we get out of the cave, I want you to destroy the cave entrance. That'll buy us some time."
Pyrrha nodded as she prepared her weapon. She won't fail.
Once they exited the cave, Pyrrha quickly turned and started shooting at the cave entrance. Once the entrance was destroyed, she turned around and followed.
Kurapika looked back at the cave entrance, noticing the rocks that blocked the entrance, but he could also see that they were shaking.
"Good job Pyrrha! Now, let's run before the Deathstalker gets out."
Pyrrha nodded as she ran with Kurapika; not long after, the Deathstalker got out and started following them.
A blonde girl and a black hair girl both arrived at the relic's place. They looked around them curiously before the blonde took one of the relics.
"Chess pieces?" She wondered as she held a chess piece in her hand; it was a knight piece; she turned toward her partner.
"Blake, Want a little pony?" She asked with a smile on her face.
The girl named Blake didn't say anything but she couldn't hide the small smile that appeared on her face.
"I think we should go back now-" Blake said, but before she could complete her sentence, a roar interrupted her.
When they looked at the source, Ursa emerged from the bushes, but before they could prepare to fight it, Ursa fell to the ground.
"Ohh~ It's broken now..." a girl's voice came from the back of the Ursa and soon revealed to be no other than Nora.
Then she spotted where they were and dashed through them and took one of the pieces.
"I'm the Queen of Castle~! I'm the queen of the castle~!" She took a rock piece and started dancing around.
"Nora..." a tired voice has come beside the dead Ursa. "Don't do that again..." he started taking deep breaths to slow down his racing heart.
"Renny~!" Nora said as she went toward him.
"Did this girl ride an Ursa...?" Blake asked in a shocked voice as she looked at Nora.
Yang opened her mouth to speak but couldn't say anything before another scream interrupted her.
"YANG!" Yang and Blake both looked up and found that Ruby was falling.
"RUBY?!" Yang screamed as she jumped and caught her sister and fell safely to the ground.
Before Yang could do anything else, another roar came from the bushes. When they looked at the source, they found Kurapika and Pyrrha running, and there was a Deathstalker behind them.
"Did these two run with a Deathstalker on their tail..?" Blake asked in a blank voice. She seemed like she had already gotten used to weird things that kept happening.
Yang's eyes turned red, and she screamed. "Can everyone calm down for two seconds?!"
Two seconds ha, an, and passed, then Ruby pinched Yang and pointed at the sky, Weiss, who was barely holding the Nevermore talon.
"How could you leave me!" Weiss shouted at Ruby.
"I told you to jump!" Ruby put her hands in front of her mouth and screamed.
Blake blankly looked at Weiss. "She's gonna fall."
"She'll be fine~!" Ruby waved her hands.
"She's falling," Ren deadpanned.
Ruby, when she saw Weiss falling, decided to help; she ran towards a tree using her semblance and quickly climbed it.
When she reached the tree branch, she waited for the perfect moment to jump and catch Weiss; once she felt like it was the perfect time, she jumped and caught her.
Weiss looked at Ruby and said. "I hope you know what you're doing!"
"Don't worry, I have a plan," Ruby said as she turned Crescent Rose into the sniper form and aimed at the ground.
'Not now...' Ruby's eyes were fixed on the ground, waiting for the perfect moment to shoot.
'Now!' Ruby pressed the trigger, stopping their falling for a second, causing their momentum to slow down by a significant amount. Making their landing almost perfect.
Weiss looked at Ruby, wanting to thank her, but then Ruby dropped her on the ground.
Weiss's eyes twitched as she looked at Ruby. "Thanks, Ruby." She didn't try to hide her annoyance from Ruby, whoever Ruby seemed to not notice, and rubbed her nose.
"Hehe~ No problem." She said, not noticing Weiss's tone.
Kurapika and Pyrrha managed to reach the rest of the group; heavily panting.
"Great! The gang is all here! Now we can die together!" Yang said putting her hand on her waist.
"Not if I can help it!" Ruby said as she dashed forward towards the Deathstalker.
"Ruby!" Yang shouted worried for her sister.
Kurapika looked at Ruby with disbelief. 'Why will she go alone?! Didn't she see me and Pyrrha run from the Deathstalker because we couldn't deal with it alone!'
Ruby used the recoil of her scythe to make her go faster, but the Deathstalker smacked her aside as if she were nothing but a bug.
Ruby let a little scream as she felt her body sent flying when she fell to the ground. "D-Don't worry, everything is under control."
She turned around and found that the Deathstalker was above her. She fired off a bullet, but it didn't pierce through its bones.
Realizing that her attempts were useless, she turned around and started running away.
Yang started running toward Ruby, extremely worried, but the Nevermore decided to interfere flapping its wings, unleashing a lot of feathers on them.
One of the Nevermore feathers pierced through Ruby's cloak, trapping them on the ground; she tried to pull her cloak back, but her attempts were met with failure.
Several more feathers managed to find their way to Yang, stopping her from moving.
"Ruby! Get out of there!"
Panicking Ruby said while still trying to get her cloak out of the feather. "I'm trying!"
A huge shadow covered her. When she looked up, she found that the Deathstalker had already arrived, its yellow stinger ready to kill Ruby, seeing that Ruby closed her eyes, waiting for the pain to come.
After a few seconds, she didn't feel anything, g so she opened her eyes and was met with Weiss's back and an ice wall holding the Deathstalker stinger in its place. "Ugh, You're so childish."
"Weiss...?"
Weiss turned around to look at Ruby. "And dim-witted, and hyperactive, and don't even get me started on your fighting style. Though I...suppose...I can be a bit...difficult, but if we're going to do this, we're going to have to do this together."
Taking a little breath she said. "So if you quit trying to show off I'll be...nicer."
"I'm not trying to show off I want you to know that I can fight..." Ruby said quietly looking down.
"You're fine," Weiss said as she left.
Ruby said. "Normal knees." under her breath
Suddenly Yang came and hugged her. Kurapika let out a sigh of relief.
Once they regrouped, Weiss said. "My ice won't last that long before the Deathstalker breaks it and our objective is in front of our eyes."
Ruby followed Weiss by saying. "She's right; our mission is to grab one artifact and make it back to the cliff; there's no point in fighting these things."
Everyone nodded in agreement; Yang, more than anyone else seemed very proud of Ruby.
Those who didn't retrieve one of the relics which was only Kurapika and Ruby, went and picked one; Ruby picked the kinght while Kurapika picked the rock. Both Ruby and Kurapika looked at each other and smiled, nodding to each other.
The ice trapping the Deathstalker started to crack. seeing that, Ren quickly notified the others. "The Deathstalker is about to break the ice!"
Ruby and Kurapika quickly went back to the rest of the group and started running back toward the cliff. The Nevermore blocked the sun from reaching them.
As they continued to run, they spotted more ruins, but before they could go any further, they were attacked by the Nevermore feathers. They quickly hid behind one of the ruins walls.
The Nevermore flew into one of the ruin's pillars, making it impossible for them to go to the cliffs without killing it, and to make things worse, the Deathstalker was getting closer to them by the second.
"Run!" Kurapika shouted as he started running toward the bridge the rest followed him.
Unfortunately, the Nevermore broke the Bridge, trapping Pyrrha, Ren, and Blake with the Deathstalker.
Kurapika looked back and said. "We need to help them."
Nora smiled at his words and said. "Let's do this!" then her Grenade launcher turned into a hammer. She ran forward and jumped on the e edge, breaking it and sending Kurapika flying to the other side. Nora smiled and then clicked on the trigger sending herself as well.
When they reached, Nora hit the Deathstalker in the, and then she clicked the Magnhild trigger again, sending her flying back and avoiding the Grimm attack.
But that made Blake fall. Kurapika looked down at Blake, worried, but he didn't need to worry as she used her weapon to pull herself to the other side. He pulled himself back to focus on the Deathstalker.
'We need a plan.' Kurapika thought as he looked at the Deathstalker, trying to find its weakness. When he spotted its stinger, he noticed that it was barely intact.
'That's it!' His eyes widened as he got an idea, he looked at Ren.
"Ren! Use your weapon to shoot at its eyes!" Kurapika told Ren.
Ren looked at Kurapika and explained. "But my bullets don't have enough power to hurt it!"
"Don't worry! You just need to distract it!" Kurapika said as he turned to Pyrrha.
"Pyrrha! I will give you enough time to cut its stinger off." Kurapika explained.
Pyrrha nodded in understanding.
"Now, even if we cut its stinger, it won't die," He looked at Nora. "That's why we'll need you to make the finishing blow; I want you to hit its stinger with everything you got."
Nora smiled and nodded.
Kurapika ran forward. The Deathstalker looked at him with its bloody eyes, but before it could attack, a lot of bullets hit its eyes, making it scream.
Kurapika reached the Deathstalker, but it seemed like the Grimm already knew that as it used its claws to try and hit him.
Seeing that, Kurapika raised his swords, but he wasn't fast enough. 'I won't block it in enough time.' That was until he felt a strange pull from his weapon as it blocked the Deathstalker's claw Kurapika, not wasting his chance, quickly jumped on its back and stabbed its head.
But when they came in contact with the Deathstalker strong skeleton they just pounced back. He clicked his on his tongue.
The Deathstalker stinger was about to stab him. He quickly jumped from the Deathstalker's back, then a shield sent flying and cut the Deathstalker's stinger, making it fall on the Grimm's skull, but it didn't go through it as he expected.
He quickly jumped out of the Deathstalker's reach; then a spear flew from his side, planting itself in the Deathstalker's eyes.
Then the Deathstalker got smashed on the ground; when he looked up, he found that Nora hit the Nevermore stinger making it pinning it into the ground; then Nora clicked the Magnhild trigger, sending her back, and the Deathstalker Stinger pierced through its body. The Deathstalker let a last roar before its death.
Kurapika looked at the Grimm distinguishing corps and let a sigh of relief; Pyrrha put a hand on his shoulder when he looked at her face. She had a small smile on her face.
Kurapika looked at Pyrrha and let a small smile come into his face.
Then Nora came and patted on his shoulder almost making him tripping. "That was awesome, Pika!"
Kurapika adjusted himself and looked at Nora. "Pika?"
"Yes, you're my friend, so I gave you a nickname; all my friends have a special nickname!" Nora explained proudly.
Ren pulled Nora from Kurapika and looked at Kurapika. "As Nora said, you did a great job making that plan."
Pyrrha joined the conversation. "Yes, without you we won't be able to kill the Deathstalker."
"You don't need to do this, guys," Kurapika said, but there was no mistake for the small smile on his face.
When they looked at Ruby and the rest, they found that they were about to finish, and Ruby was dragging the Nevermore up on the cliff; when she reached the top, the Nevermore's head got cut, and Ruby was standing on the cliff.
"That was something," Pyrrha said while looking at Ruby.
"Hey, Renny! Can we do something like that?!" Nora asked Ren as she pointed toward Ruby, but before Ren could answer, she started wandering around him with the possibility of how they could do this.
Kurapika giggled a little, Pyrrha saw that and smiled.
"Cardin Winchester, Russel Thrush, Dove Bronzewing, Sky Lark. The four of you who retrieved the black bishop pieces shall be known from this day forward as team CRDL...Lead by Cardin Winchester."
Ozpin announced following his announcement, there were claps. then Team CRDL went down.
Once the crowd settled down, Ozpin announced.
"Can Kurapika Kurta, Pyrrha Nikós, Lie Ren, Nora Valkyrie. Come to the stage?"
Hearing their names, the four of them moved forward on the stage, stepping up and waiting for Ozpin to announce the Team.
"Kurapika Kurta, Pyrrha Nikós, Lie Ren, Nora Valkyrie. The four of you who retrieve the rook pieces shall be known from this day forward as team KNPR... Lead by Kurapika Kurta."
Once Ozpin finished his line there was more clapping.
Kurapika seemed a little surprised, Pyrrha lightly hit him on his shoulder, silently congrating him.
When they went down, Ruby quickly appeared in front of him. "Congrats! Kurapika!"
However, before she can talk more With Kurapika, she hears Ozpin's voice.
"Can Ruby Rose, Yang Xiao ong, Weiss Schnee, Blake Belladonna. Come into the stage?"
"I guess this is our cue to go," Yang said as she went onto the stage while pulling Ruby with her; Blake and Weiss followed Yang.
After they reached the stage Ozpin announced.
"Ruby Rose, Weiss Schnee, Blake Belladonna, Yang Xiaolong. The four of you have retrieved the knight piece and shall be known from this day forward as Team RWBY... Lead by Ruby Rose."
Ruby was surprised and didn't know how to react. Yang hugged her sister and said. "That's my Sister!" Ruby was struggling to breathe.
"Y-Yang... Need to... Breathe..."
Blake didn't seem to have any problem with that, while Weiss crossed her arms, disappointed that she wasn't the leader.
As the newly formed RWBY Team went down, they were met with Kurapika, who had a small smile on his face.
"Congrats Ruby." He congratulated her.
Pyrrha, Ren, and Nora did the same.
"Well done, Ruby," Pyrrha said with a smile.
"Congratulations," Ren said with a calm expression.
"Yeah! You're going to be an awesome leader!" Nora added.
Ruby seemed a little awkward with all of that praise and awkwardly laughed while scratching the back of her head.
Hello, I'm the author; I just want to clarify some points; English is not my mother language, so I will have some typos here and there.
I used Grammarly, but it kinda made the chapter more confusing; I needed to go back and correct a lot of things after it. But I'll say that it's worth it.
If anyone has any questions, I'll try my best to answer them.
Also, don't expect continuous updates for this crossover; this year is my last year at school before graduating.
It'll be a miracle if I upload a chapter a month.
