I own neither Percy Jackson or Game Of Thrones. I own no characters other than any possible OC's. I got the idea of a PJO/GoT crossover from Here Be Dragons from fadeaura, and might use a couple of similar elements, but it will be an original work. Check out the story, I think it's abandoned but it's still quite good.
This is my first ever story so please read and review. Critiques are always welcome, but please write them in a constructive manner. That way, I can actually use it. If you have any ideas for a pairing with Percy, please let me know in a review. I am thinking about either an OC or Daenerys, but I think the last one might be a bit basic
"Percy, there you are. Zeus summoned you to Olympus. There will be a meeting in 15 minutes, Hermes will be here in 10 to bring you there. They will give you a quest it seems."
"I can't do it anymore Chiron. It's been too much. I have nothing left to fight for."
"You do Percy. You have friends at camp, your father and Hestia."
"We both know that I don't have friends at camp anymore. They are all dead. I have people who look at me as a hero, but that's all I am to them. I'm not their friend. I'm the person who does the quests and saves their lives, but they will never understand what I've been through."
"Don't lose hope Percy, every person who gave their life would want you to live."
"Maybe, but would they want to live in my place? Would they want to still have nightmares about their first love dying because they were too weak?"
Flashback
"They're on their way. You've lost" I said
"I haven't even started." He advanced with blinding speed. Grover—brave, stupid satyr that he was—tried to protect me, but Kronos tossed him aside like a rag doll. I sidestepped and jabbed under Kronos's guard. It was a good trick. Unfortunately, Luke knew it. He countered the strike and disarmed me using one of the first moves he'd ever taught me. My sword skittered across the ground and fell straight into the open fissure.
"STOP!" Annabeth came from nowhere. Kronos whirled to face her and slashed with Backbiter, but somehow Annabeth caught the strike on her dagger hilt. It was a move only the quickest and most skilled knife fighter could've managed. Don't ask me where she found the strength, but she stepped in closer for leverage, their blades crossed, and for a moment she stood face-to-face with the Titan lord, holding him at a standstill.
"Luke," she said, gritting her teeth, "I understand now. You have to trust me."
Kronos roared in outrage. "Luke Castellan is dead! His body will burn away as I assume my true form!"
I tried to move, but my body was frozen again. How could Annabeth, battered and half dead with exhaustion, have the strength to fight a Titan like Kronos? Kronos pushed against her, trying to dislodge his blade, but she held him in check, her arms trembling as he forced his sword down toward her neck.
"Your mother," Annabeth grunted. "She saw your fate."
"Service to Kronos!" the Titan roared. "This is my fate."
"No!" Annabeth insisted. Her eyes were tearing up, but I didn't know if it was from sadness or pain. "That's not the end, Luke. The prophecy: she saw what you would do. It applies to you!"
"I will crush you, child!" Kronos bellowed.
"You won't," Annabeth said. "You promised. You're holding Kronos back even now." "LIES!"
Kronos pushed again, and this time Annabeth lost her balance. With his free hand, Kronos struck her face, and she slid backward. I summoned all my will. I managed to rise, but it was like holding the weight of the sky again.
Kronos loomed over Annabeth, sword in hand, stabbed her in the stomach and pulled the sword out
"Family Luke, you promised me." she said, shocked expression, hands toward her wound.
Kronos lost all control, and Luke stared at the sword.
I finally reached Annabeth. "Everything will be fine, the gods are here soon, they can heal you. I'll protect you until then." Taking her knife, I stepped towards Luke, who was still shocked, staring at his now empty hands.
"Give me her knife, please, before he takes over again. I'll stab myself, I promise. It has to be done by my hand, otherwise he'll take control. He's already changing, almost discarding my body."
I looked at Annabeth, who said "cursed blade", before going unconscious.
"Please Percy, no time". "I trust your love for her", giving the knife to Luke. I watched as he took the knife and stabbed himself under the arm. The throne room shook from the energy and his roar, and when the blinding light died out, Luke was dead, having instantly died from that much energy. I ran over to Annabeth, but her pulse was gone. She was gone, because I was too weak.
End of Flashback
"Percy? Are you okay?"
"Yeah Chiron, don't worry. I'll be fine. Just some unpleasant memories."
"I know everything seems impossible right now, but please, find a way to live. Honor her sacrifice."
"It's not about her only, and you know this. For you, it's been almost a year since that day. For me? I've known that she's dead for a total of 2 months here. I was on either a quest or in a war almost all of that time. I went into Tartarus, a month after the battle of Manhattan. I found out 10 days ago that Grover died, searching for me. I saw Nico die in front of my eyes."
Flashback
I had volunteered to go into Tartarus. Why you may ask? Someone needed to go, and I was the only one with the correct mental state to survive there. I'm not talking about mental strength, let that be clear. I'm talking about having lost too much to care already, and not being willing to lose more. The others of the 7 would not have survived 5 days in Tartarus, and this is my 30th day here. I went back into the Styx, fought my way through Titans again, took curses from the Arai, survived Nyx' Palace and killed around 1000 monsters. Now I had to leave Bob behind. Tartarus let me out aswell. His exact words were: "Go on, close the doors. I'll even make sure you have an easy ride. Attempt to save the gods and your friends. It won't matter anyway. You will be hurt far more out there than I can ever hurt you. Just remember these final words: You and your friends have given so much to the gods, but what will the gods ever do for you? How will they ever repay you?" The doors closed, and when they opened again, I heard Nico call out: "The doors have opened! It's PerAAAGH!." He fell, dead before he hit the ground. The spear from Clytius was through his chest, right before Hazel and Hecate killed the giant.
End of Flashback
"Then, days after that, we fought the giants, where Hazel and Frank died, surrounded by 5 giants and 100 monsters. The gods stood by and watched them die. They weren't fighting yet, because the giants weren't weak enough yet. All the gods did, was deal a finishing blow, never once actually fighting. The blood of Frank and Hazel awakened Gaia, and by the time we had dealt with the giants, only four of the seven remained. The gods even left Otis behind. He was at the brink of death, and they wanted to prolong his pain. Only, they forgot about him. We went to camp, only to see almost all demi gods dead, maybe a quarter survived. Piper, Jason, Leo and Festus all died killing Gaia, and with them, the Physicians cure. We won the war, but almost everyone was dead. The gods didn't even attend memorial services. They didn't help gathering the bodies, drachmas or materials for the burials. It's like they lost nothing or no one.
The only people that I knew and were alive, were you, my mortal family and Clarisse. But then, even Clarisse died, on the quest to kill the last remaining Giant, Otis. But guess what, Dionysus didn't help until it was too late, and she died. She died because the gods didn't finish Otis, and were too late to help her kill him. The same day, my mom, sister and Paul died. So tell me again Chiron, why should I still fight, when I have nothing left to fight for?"
At that moment, right after my rant, Hermes arrived. "Percy, it's time to go to Olympus"
My last words ever to Chiron would be: "Goodbye Chiron."
"Ah Perseus, there you are" Zeus said "We have a quest for you."
"No. I'm done going on quests. I've done my part. My fighting is done."
"Listen here, I am King of the Gods. Your fighting is done when I say your fighting is done."
"I have fought more and been manipulated more by you than any demigod in the last millenia. I fought your war against Kronos, where I was forced to break Calypso's heart and abandon her. I saw my friends die. I saw the woman I loved die. All of this to win a war that easily could have been avoided. Then, I get a wish, but the only thing I want isn't possible. Annabeth is still dead, and I've heard the truth. You forced her into being reborn. Now there's a chance she won't make it back to Elysium."
"Listen here, we didn't force her to do anything. She chose that herself."
"Her choice was either get both her and Luke reborn, or let Luke stay in Asphodel forever. That's not a choice."
"It was a choice, she just couldn't leave him alone. It's irrelevant to your quest. You will go and kill all remaining monsters in camp Jupiter. All the demigods there are dead."
"I won't. I have done my last quest for the gods. I have lost everyone during your quests. After the Titan war, I had 3 days, before I was kidnapped by Hera. I lost my memory, went on a quest, had to fight to save a camp, went to war 3 days later, went into Tartarus 4 days after we left. It was 10 days here, but 30 down there. The seven are all dead, except for me. The last people that I knew, are all dead. And while i was down there, Tartarus told me. He told me you would never do anything for us, and he was right. So I am done."
"We gave you the greatest gift you could've wished for. We gave you a wish, free of charge."
"Are you talking about the request that should've been common decency? The one that you didn't even follow? The peaceful Titans are still locked up, and hundreds of demigods died without knowing their goldy parent in the last war."
"You will show respect when you talk to me"
"Since my last request wasn't honored, and probably won't be, how about another one? An easier one?
"I'm listening. If it is reasonable, we might accept it." Zeus said, clearly happy to change the wish.
"Leave me alone. I don't care what you have to do, make sure I never get involved with the gods, Titans, Primorials or anyone of you guys ever again. I don't care if you have to send me to another world or anything, just let me live a life."
"We gave you a request, not because we had to, but because we wanted to reward you. The truth is that you owe Poseidon for existing and your powers, and that you should do anything we say to repay that debt. But we'll do a vote. I'd rather have you out of our hair."
"Wait brother, can I talk to my son first?" Poseidon said, clearly tired and saddened by his son's wish.
'You have 5 minutes."
"Son, are you sure you want this? If it is, I'll vote for it and make sure you get your wish, but the fates will intervene. You will be sent to a world outside of our scope, and it is uncertain wheter or not your powers will work there."
"Don't you understand dad? I'm tired, and I don't care anymore about my powers. I want my own life, be able to make my own decisions. In the past 3 years, I saw everyone single mortal that I knew and cared about die. I went through literal hell, and saved your asses twice. The only thing I asked for, was ignored."
"I know son, we're trying to be better, but you can't change millenia old habits in a year."
"Do you know I would've been stuck in Tartarus?" Percy said suddenly. "I had no way out, and He showed up. Instead of killing me, he laughed at me. His literal words were '"Go on, close the doors. I'll even make sure you have an easy ride. Attempt to save the gods and your friends. It won't matter anyway. You will be hurt far more out there than I can ever hurt you. Just remember these final words: You and your friends have given so much to the gods, but what will the gods ever do for you? How will they ever repay you?"'. And you know what? It's the truth. He couldn't have hurt me worse, and the gods will not repay me. So I want out."
"Alright son, please just know that I love you and didn't want this to happen."
" I know, but I can't live in the divine world if this is how it is."
"I'll make sure you have the votes, even if it pains me."
"Thank you dad"
"Thank you that I could speak to my son, brother. Before we vote, I want to clear it up. We are voting to send Percy to another world, where we have no power. We are not condemning him to Alaska. This is his request, and I vote to honor it. I hope you do aswell." Poseidon said, with a clear sad expression.
"Everyone for sending Perseus Jackson, Son of Poseidon, Bane of monsters, Saviour of Olympus, Bane of Titans, Bane of Giants, Bane of Gaia to another world?" Zeus asked, slight irritation noticable.
All hands went up, sad smiles from Artemis, Apollo, Hermes, Poseidon, Hestia and Hades. The rest of the gods kept their expression neutral.
"Alright, the vote passed." Before Zeus could say any more, the three Morai, also known as the Fates, showed up. "Due to his bravery, we will allow him to take 2 dead heroes who have not chosen rebirth with him. We will come back when they have been placed on the other world."
"I'm assuming you already have an idea about who I'll take with me?" Percy asked. "I know all of the seven, Annabeth, Luke and Clarisse have chosen rebirth. Could I see who my choices are?"
"We won't force you to choose anyone, but we recommend you take Silena Beauregard and Charles Beckendorf with you. Charles was on his third rebirth and could get into the isles, but gave it up to have Silena with him in Elysium. Neither can be reborn here, but they could life a full life there. We swear on the creator that we think this is the best option" All three fates spoke the oath in unison.
"Will we keep our memories?" Percy asked concerned
"If you wish to, you can keep them"
'I would like to ask them if it's what they want."
"Do not worry, we already asked them. They would love to go with you. You cannot ask them yourself, since it would be against the ancient laws."
"Then I choose them. Please thank Chiron for training me, and wish him goodluck in the future."
And with those final words, Percy would never again be seen on this world. His legend however, would not be forgotten.
Might change this chapter later on, I am not entirely happy with the last quarter, but I'm gonna be busy for the next couple of days, so I wanted to get this out first.
