AUTHOR'S NOTE: Thanks to Bonnie Sveen Fan and Braxton54 for reviewing; it's highly appreciated! And thanks to everyone continuing to read. There is one swear word in this chapter.
As the five teenagers arrive at Raging Waters, they see that not too many people are there.
"Awesome! We beat the rush!" Scott cheers with a smile.
All of them get out of the car and Toby walks around the back of the car to get the bags and esky out of the boot.
"Let's go kiddies!" Scott says and swings an arm around both James and Kyle's necks.
As they get to the front of the line Scott hands the lady behind the desk the tickets and also a fifty dollar note, Kyle furrows his eyebrows as the lady hands Scott a remote.
After getting through, they immediately go and get changed, while he's getting changed Kyle sees Gavin out of the corner of his eyes and he just hopes that he doesn't give him any grief.
After getting changed they met up with Ashley. They then walk towards a cabana.
Kyle's shocked when he sees it; it's in the wave pool VIP section.
"You guys paid for this!" Kyle says shocked.
Scott shakes his head.
"Na, it was included in the prize that our parents won," he explains, "It will be a nice place to relax and eat."
They put all of their stuff in safes, and Scott locks the safe before hiding the key away so no one will be able to find it.
"Let's go to the wave pool!" Ashley announces and grabs Scott's hand and pulls him towards the wave pool.
The other three follow behind them.
Toby swings his arm around James and pulls him close; he then gives him a wet willy.
"Is that necessary?" James groans and wipes his ear.
"No but it was kinda fun," Toby answers with a grin.
"You know you're a jerk right?" James says glaring at Toby.
Toby smirks, and ruffles his little brother's hair.
"But do you love me?" he asks.
"I guess I have to," James replies.
Kyle smiles shyly at them.
Toby shoves him away lightly and he bumps into Kyle.
"Arghh, are your brothers jerks as well!" James asks.
Kyle can hear Scott laughing as well.
"You've got no idea!" Kyle laughs lightly, "Heath uses me as a human dumbbell."
James laughs at this.
"How?" he asks amused.
The other three turn to look as well as they are all curious, causing Kyle to blush; he really doesn't want them all to know.
"By wedging me," Kyle admits, running his hand through the back of his hair; a little worried they will think badly of Heath.
"He kinda sounds like a jerk!" James says, as Toby nudges him slightly.
"Na he's all good, he's just too rough. But he can also be really protective," Kyle says.
"I can imagine he wouldn't have been too happy about your bullies picking on you," Scott says.
"Yeah he wasn't, he was very protective. He hates it when people hurt me and Case," Kyle says, "But he still loves to torment us."
Kyle laughs, leading all of them to laugh as well.
"So a typical older brother?" Ashley asks, laughing just as they reach the wave pool.
"Yeah, then there's Brax who's like a Dad and an older brother at the same time," Kyle says smiling.
"Well, let's get swimming!" Toby says as he scoops up Ashley and Scott throws both Kyle and James over his shoulders and they both run into the wave pool.
Casey walks out into the lounge and sees that Brax has made double chocolate chip pancakes.
"Yum; thanks Brax," Casey says and he plummets into a seat.
"But, are they meant to make me feel better about the fact that Kyle's at Raging Waters and I'm stuck here?" Casey mumbles and slumps lower into his seat.
"Cheer up, Case; we will do something fun," Brax promises as he sits next to Casey, "After your chores of course."
"Chores! Kyle left without doing any chores!" Casey moans; not in the mood to do chores.
"Look Casey, I'm not in the mood for arguing. Just get your chores done then we will do something fun," Brax says, also not in the mood for his brother's moodiness.
"Fine," Casey grumbles, while wondering what Kyle is up to at the moment.
Kyle is currently in the wave pool with the Jenkins family and is play-wrestling with James.
"Hey dweeb and Kyle, we are going on some slides; you coming?" Ashley asks.
She and her older brothers have heaps of rides they want to go on.
"Sounds good!" James says as he and Kyle walk towards her.
"But one question, why am I called a dweeb but you call Kyle by his name?" James asks.
Ashley gives him a funny look as though he had asked her the dumbest question in the world.
"Cause Kyle's cute! Duh! And you are just my little brother."
Kyle's eyes go wide as he becomes shocked.
Ashley thinks he's cute; there is no way! Girls are never interested in him, it's usually Casey and his friends that girls go for.
"You better be careful! Scott and Toby will never let you date," James smirks at his sister and sticks his tongue out at her.
"At least I can get a date," Ashley teases as she smirks at her little brother.
Kyle shyly follows behind, he doesn't feel that he should join in this conversation.
Ashley turns back and looks at him.
"You are cute though, wanna go down with me?" Ashley asks, causing Kyle to stumble with panic with what she meant.
"Down a waterslide!" Ashley clarifies, laughing as she sees Kyle's expression on his face.
"Oh," Kyle says and ruffles his hair nervously.
"Yeah sure, sounds good!" Kyle says sweetly.
He's more than happy to go down a waterslide with Ashley, he just hopes Toby and Scott are okay with it.
"Cool!" Ashley says and winks at Kyle, causing his heart to skip a beat.
Ashley is completely and utterly out of his league and she's also very upfront.
They reach Scott and Toby who are waiting for them at the waterslide.
"Okay, shall we go as singles or pairs?" Scott asks and Ashley immediately speaks up.
"I'm going down with Kyle!" she announces and throws her arm around Kyle causing him to blush and shuffle uncontrollably; hoping her brothers are okay with it.
"Okay," Scott agrees with a smile.
"You're kidding right! You said she's never allowed near boys!" James says annoyed; having thought that his sister would have been told no.
"Please James, look at him! He's like a little puppy, so sweet and cute! I would be thrilled if they got together it would keep her away from the arseholes," Scott says simply.
Kyle blushes even more but he also breathes a sigh of relief.
"There point proven," Toby says laughing.
"Come on cutie," Ashley says and pulls Kyle towards the line for the waterslide.
"Ahhhh!" Kyle and Ashley both scream as they go down the waterslide.
When they reach the bottom Kyle crashes into Ashley and they laugh.
"That was fun!" Ashley smiles as she pushes her hair out of her face.
"Yeah," Kyle breathes and smiles shyly as he looks at how cute Ashley looks.
"Wanna go again?" she asks just as Scott and James get off the slide.
"Sure, but this time I'm going with you little sister," Scott says as he swings his arm around her.
Ashley rolls her eyes.
"But I want to go with Kyle again!" Ashley protests.
"Too bad! James can go with Kyle. I'm going to go with my darling little sister," Scott says and leads his sister to the line, just as Toby comes out of the slide.
"Good to see you with all your friends," James teases, chuckling.
Toby rolls his eyes and lightly whacks his brother over the head.
"Do you want another wet willy?" Toby asks and James looks up and glares at his brother.
"No!" he huffs.
He then turns to Kyle as Toby walks off.
"It sucks being the youngest!"
"I feel ya, but look at it like this, you have three older siblings who will always look out for you," Kyle says with a shy smile.
James shakes his head and smiles.
"That's a positive way to look at it, but you aren't the youngest. I'm sure you boss around your younger brother," James says and Kyle snorts with laughter.
"As if, he pushes me around all the time, he's bigger than me and he uses it against me. Plus I don't want to hit him so I nearly never fight back," Kyle says to James.
"So you let him walk all over you?" James says shocked; heck he doesn't let his siblings walk over him.
"Yeah pretty much," Kyle mumbles and runs his hand through his hair.
James looks at Kyle.
"Personally I think you deserve better. You're a really nice guy and you deserve to be treated as nicely as you treat others, especially by your family," James says.
He can't believe that anyone would take advantage of Kyle's kind nature, especially his little brother.
Kyle looks at James and gives him a small smile.
"Thanks man, that really means a lot," Kyle replies.
"Hey, no worries," James says.
They reach the others, and Toby immediately ruffles up Jame's hair in a teasing gesture.
Casey is finishing up doing the dishes when his older brother comes up behind him.
"Hey Snoopy; where's little Spooky?" Heath laughs and gives his brother's hair a rough ruffle.
Casey turns around to see Heath and Bianca.
"Raging Waters," he huffs, he is still annoyed he didn't get to go.
"Really with who?" Heath asks, as usually whenever Kyle is invited somewhere, so is Casey.
"Scott Jenkins and his family," Casey huffs as he puts away the last bowl and slams the drawer.
"Who?" Heath asks as he turns to look at Bianca hoping she will know.
"Scott Jenkins is a year 12 at our school, he and his brother were the ones who saved Kyle from his bullies, ever since I've seen the two older boys befriending Kyle," Bianca explains with a smile.
"Really that's cool!" Heath says smiling while Casey remains pouting.
"Well yay for Kyle!" Casey shouts and storms off to his room and slams the door.
Brax comes in from the laundry and rolls his eyes, seeing Casey leave in a huff.
"Hey guys, how are you?" he asks.
"Yeah, we are good, what's up with Snoopy?" Heath asks as he motioned his head towards the direction that Casey walked in.
"Oh, he's annoyed that Kyle's at Raging Waters and he isn't. He's hot and cold that boy, one minute he's happy for Kyle and the next he's angry," Brax sighs; he doesn't know what to do other than try to distract Casey and cheer him up.
"He's jealous. Golden boy usually gets everything he ever wants, Kyle's the one that's usually left behind," Heath says, causing Brax to nod his head.
"That's what I told him," Brax sighs, "I'm going to take him surfing, hopefully that will cheer him up."
Heath nods his head.
"Hopefully. I don't want to have to deal with him being in a mood, and neither will Kyle when he gets home," Heath points out then he grabs a bag of chips from the cupboard before walking away.
"Don't you have your own food?" Brax asks as he runs his hands through his hair.
"No I don't, plus this will stop Casey from scoffing it," Heath says simply and walks away with Bianca who looks back over his shoulder.
"Sorry Brax," she says over her shoulder, sighing Brax walks towards Casey and Kyle's room and knocks on the door before entering.
He walks in to see Casey lying on his bed sulking.
"Do you want a minute, or are you ready to go surfing?" Brax asks as he runs his hand through Casey's hair.
"I'm sorry, I'm just jealous," Casey admits as he turns to look at Brax.
He feels guilty for the way that he acted.
"I know you are. Now you've finished your chores, how about you and me go for a surf?" Brax suggests and Casey gives a small smile back.
"Do you think I can get a milkshake?" Casey asks, causing Brax to lightly shake his head.
"No Casey, it's part of your punishment that I don't buy you anything," Brax reminds, causing Casey to pout.
"But Kyle will have things paid for him today; please Brax!" Casey begs; all he wants is a little milkshake.
"I've told you no. We've got chocolate ice cream, milk, chocolate syrup and whipped cream here so how about after we go surfing we make a homemade one?" Brax offers, hoping that Casey will like the compromise.
Casey nods his head lightly, he would prefer a milkshake from the diner but he's happy enough with a homemade one.
"Well let's go then," Brax says and tickles Casey's ribs, making Casey laugh and wriggle.
Casey jumps up and quickly runs into the hall to get a towel.
"Let's go!" he cheers.
Brax laughs and he and Casey run out of the house and head down towards the beach with their surfboards and towels.
