Back in Class 1-A's dormitory...

Uraraka never left Midoriya's side. After Class 1-A settling down with Mr. Aizawa, AllMight decided to head back to Class 1-M's dormitory along with his students. Marinette and Adrien really wanted to stay, but they knew that their friends would keep an eye on him. Midoriya's mom decided to stay with Class 1-A since she was kind of worried about her son. Mr. Aizawa let her sleep in Midoriya's room for the night and got her a sleeping bag.

The others checked in on Uraraka, but they all made sure to stay away from him. They all had no idea what Chrysalis might be planning on doing, so they made sure that Uraraka was at least looked after. She started to yawn so Midoriya let her sit with him. Everyone was a little hesitant to do so, especially Bakugo. After a while of them sitting together with the TV on however, they noticed him starting to drift to sleep. They all stood in the kitchen and dining room watching them from a distance.

"I don't think he's planning on taking Uraraka anywhere tonight," Yaoyorozu said to them.

"We don't know that. Chrysalis could've planned for us to let our guards down when he was asleep," Iida said to them as he waved up and down.

"Dude, calm down," Kaminari said to him, "He's clearly exhausted."

"Poor Uraraka. I feel bad for her," Jirou said to them, "She's really worried about him and can't do anything about it."

"Yeah. At least she gets to cuddle with Izuku finally," Ashido said to them, barely holding in her squeal, "They haven't done this since Paris."

"Ashido, now's not the time," Kirishima said to her, "Besides, we don't even know what's causing him to act this way."

Then Kirishima noticed Bakugo staring at Midoriya. He looked like he wanted to say something, but didn't know what or how to say it.

"Did something happen in the cave, Bakugo?" Kirishima asked him, "When you four were captured. It just seems like something's been bothering you ever since you got back here."

"Yeah. You're pretty quiet and that's saying something," Sero said to him.

Bakugo surprisingly didn't blow up or yell at them. He looked back at Midoriya and was clearly thinking about something. They were all now worried about Midoriya and Bakugo as he scratched the back of his head.

"There is something. I just don't know what to make of it," Bakugo said to them, "There were these crystals in the cave. At first I didn't think much of it, but then Deku pulled out one when he got free. When he pulled it out, it released a strong surge of power pushed all of us away from him. Something about it had a weird energy to it, it felt like Chrysalis's power mixed with his."

Everyone was shocked to hear this and definitely didn't expect any of this.

"B-But that's impossible! His quirk and the Butterfly Miraculous's power in a crystal?!" Yaoyorozu whisper yelled.

"Then this weird energy that Uraraka mentioned has to be from that crystal!" Ashido whisper yelled, "Somehow it messing with Midoriya. Chrysalis must've done something to him with it!"

"We don't know that. Chrysalis has a lot of powers already! Why would she need or plan to use any type of crystal like that?" Ojiro asked them.

"I have no idea why she'd use that, but we all know that she would definitely use it for some sort of plan," Bakugo said back, "I don't even know if she knew about it before any of us. She might've just found out about it when Deku pulled it out."

"Well that's not good," Sero said to them, "Maybe one of us should stay down with them for the night. Just to be sure nothing happens."

"I'll--"

Jirou jabbed Mineta with her earphone jack before he could volunteer to stay downstairs.

"There's no where you're doing it you little pervert," Jirou said to him.

They all looked at Uraraka and Midoriya and noticed that he had fallen asleep on her shoulder. A few of them considered staying down here with them, but Bakugo beat them to it.

"I'll do it," Bakugo said to them.

"No way Bakugo. You need a proper night sleep after what happened," Iida said to him, "I can stay down here. As Class Rep., it's time for me to step up and look after my classmates."

Everyone expected him to fight him, yell or insult him. Then he shrugged it off and let out an annoyed sigh.

"Fine. It's not like he's going anywhere tonight," Bakugo said back as he headed up to his room.

Everyone watched him leave the common room, shocked to see him so quiet and calm about this whole thing. Even the classmates that went to Paris were surprised.

"Wow, no yelling or insulting. He must be really tired," Ashido said to them.

"Yeah. It seems like Paris really softened him up," Sero said to them.

"Well, I better follow him up to bed as well," Kirishima said to them as he yawned, "I'm pretty beat too."

"Iida, call us if you need any help," Yaoyorozu said to him as she followed the others who were heading up to their rooms.

"Sure. Have a good night sleep," Iida said to them with a smile.

Iida watched them all head up to their rooms. Soon enough, it was just Iida, Uraraka, Midoriya and Midoriya's mom. His mom was making herself a cup of tea before heading up to bed in Midoriya's dorm room. He looked over at her, feeling a little uncomfortable staying with her alone. He had never properly met his mom before, so it was a little awkward to be here like this.

"I've never had the chance to properly introduce myself. My name is Tenya Iida. It's a pleasure to meet you, even if it's a little bit of a weird situation," Iida said to her as he bowed to her, "Midoriya has told me a lot about you."

"Oh! There's no need for the bowing," Midoriya's mom said to him, "I'm Inko Midoriya. My son has mentioned you a lot. He kind of looks up to you as a great leader actually."

Iida felt a slight blush come over him and adjusted his glasses.

"Really? I didn't know he thought of me in that sort of way," Iida said to her, "I guess it makes sense considering I'm their Class Rep. and all."

"Don't sell yourself short. I can tell that you've helped this class out a lot considering everything you guys have been through. You're kind of like AllMight in that way, always looking after everyone and making sure everyone's taken care of. I'd say that's pretty special," Midoriya's mom said to him as she held her cup of tea.

Iida felt a little proud of himself when she mentioned AllMight but also flustered that she thought of him in that way. Then she handed him a cup of tea that she had poured into another one.

"Here. It looks like you're going to need it," Midoriya's mom said to him with a smile.

"Th-Thank you Mrs. Midoriya. I really appreciate it," Iida said back.

"Oh please. Call me Inko," Midoriya's mom said to him, "There's no need to be so formal. You are friends with Izuku after all."

Iida smiled and took a sip of his tea. After a while of it being quiet, Iida looked back at Midoriya and Uraraka. They were both asleep together with the light from the TV looking so peaceful. Iida was just glad that things were pretty calm between them now. Iida looked back at Midoriya's mom and noticed her looking at Midoriya as well. He couldn't blame her if she still felt a little worried about him, this was her one and only son after all.

"So, you were there with my Izuku in Paris," Midoriya's mom said to him.

Iida wasn't expecting her to say that, but knew that she was clearly curious about what happened there.

"Yeah. I was there," Iida said back as he took a sip of his tea, "It felt like we were there for a lot longer than we actually were. It still feels weird to be back here in U.A... In Japan."

"What exactly happened in Paris? Between this Chrysalis and my son?" Midoriya's mom asked him.

Iida hesitated for a moment, making Midoriya's mom worry even more. He didn't want to get into the details since it was so late now. Something about it felt weird to talk to her with Uraraka and Midoriya sleeping behind him. He bit his lip, feeling bad for even mentioning anything at all without Midoriya around.

"Well, it's kind of a long story," Iida said to her.

"That's okay. I'm not going anywhere considered I was forced to leave my own apartment because of her," Midoriya's mom said to him, "Please at least tell me a little bit."

Iida didn't exactly know where to start. He took a sip of his tea, and started with Midoriya getting akumatized. He told her about how his quirk lost control around Marinette. He felt so bad and really wanted to return home, and that's what got him akumatized. He explained to her what an akuma was and that Chrysalis wasn't the first one to have the Butterfly Miraculous.

It was HawkMoth.

Iida told her about how he started this whole mess. They stopped Midoriya and got rid of the akuma, but they were too late. Chrysalis who was known as Volpina at the time took him and gave him to HawkMoth. He mentioned how his quirk was taken away from him, but pulled back a bit since she looked really upset. HawkMoth had made his quirk into a Miraculous. They soon defeated him, but not before Lila took the Butterfly Miraculous and became Chyrsalis.

Iida pulled back a bit on the fights they had, especially the one about Uraraka being akumatized. He at least told her about Chrysalis trying to take Bakugo's and Uraraka's quirks just like HawkMoth. He had finally gotten all the way to the day they left Paris through the portal. How Chrysalis had tricked Midoriya into creating thousands of akumas. How she took his Miraculous and now is in Japan trying to get back at them for some reason that he didn't quite understand himself.

After a while of Midoriya's mom being quiet, he was worried that he had told her way too much.

"I-I'm sorry if I told you all of that way too fast. Midoriya should've been the one to tell you, not me," Iida said to her.

"No. It's okay," Midoriya's mom said back, "I just... can't believe I actually let her into my apartment. She pretended to be this girl named Cerise Bianca and even said that she was quirkless just like Izuku. She actually made me feel bad for her since she was stuck here with no luggage since she had just gotten here from Paris. I should've known that she was suspicious considering she too was from Paris."

"You couldn't have known. You didn't even know what was going on," Iida said to her, "If anything, I should've made sure Midoriya was safe and made it here unscathed. He ended up being quirkless again because I couldn't keep up with him."

Midoriya's mom noticed that he held a lot of responsibility without meaning to. She placed her hand on top of his, causing him to look up. He had been crying and didn't even notice it.

"I don't blame you, Iida. How could I when you're always with them? He wasn't alone in Paris. I'm glad because without you around, he'd be running around breaking all sorts of rules just to save anyone he could. I know he can be a bit stubborn and is always running after others to help out, but he also needs someone who can keep up and tell him to slow down. I can tell that you care about him, so thank you for being there for him and Ochaco. They both need you," Midoriya's mom said to him.

He definitely wasn't expecting her to say all of that and felt more tears come up. She couldn't help but smile at how he was trying to hold back tears.

"I'd say he's rubbed off on you already," Midoriya's mom said to him.

"Maybe a little," Iida said back as he wiped off his tears, "Thank you, Mrs.--... I mean, Inko. I really appreciate it."

Iida noticed her smile through formed tears and knew that she really appreciated him telling her all of that. He felt like he could finally relax and felt a yawn come over him as he covered his mouth. Once he opened his eyes, he noticed her giving him her sleeping bag that Mr. Aizawa had given her.

"Here. You need it more than I do," Midoriya's mom said to him, "I can just sleep in Izuku's bed. I don't think he's getting up anytime soon."

"A-Are you sure? I mean, I can just take one of the blankets over there," Iida asked her.

"Here. You need some rest too," Midoriya's mom said to him with a smile.

Iida smiled back and took the sleeping bag from her. She drank the rest of her tea and headed up to Midoriya's room. Before she headed up to his room however, she gave Iida a quick hug which he wasn't expecting.

"I think you're doing a great job as Class Rep., Tenya," Midoriya's mom whispered to him.

Iida felt a little thrown off from her hug, but then felt so much pride when she said that to him. She let go of him and left the common room. It was quiet as he stood there looking at the elevator. He never thought he'd be spending the night with Midoriya's mom, but he was glad that he did. Something about it felt so comforting like his own family. It reminded him of his older brother and how much he missed him and looked up to him.

"I miss you, brother," Iida said under his breath, "I hope to see you soon."

Iida walked towards Midoriya and Uraraka in the common room, ready to settle in for the night. He noticed that Uraraka was stirring awake as he set up his sleeping bag on the other couch.

"Oh sorry, Uraraka. I didn't mean to wake you up," Iida said to her, very apologetic about it.

"It's okay Iida. I wasn't asleep really, just resting," Uraraka said to him.

Iida felt a little embarrassed since him and Midoriya's mom talked about personal things for a while at one point. He scratched the back of his head, not sure if he should bring it up or not. He sat down in his sleeping bag and almost took off his glasses, but then knew he had to ask her something like that before bed.

"Did you hear anything back there? I mean when me and Inko talked for a bit?" Iida asked her.

"I might've heard a little a bit of certain things here and there," Uraraka said back, "Mrs. Midoriya did seem proud of you though for being such a great Class Rep., and I agree with her. You've come a long way, Iida. You should give yourself some more credit."

Iida smiled at her and sat there for a moment to just realize that this is one of the only times it's just been him, Uraraka and Midoriya around. He looked down at Midoriya who was sleeping against Uraraka's shoulder. He was exhausted with his mouth a little open as he slept.

"It feels like it's been so long since we've done something like this," Uraraka said to him, "You know, just the three of us. I know Izuku is kind of asleep and kind of going through something right now, but still."

"Yeah. It's kind of weird," Iida said to her, "It seems like you, him and Bakugo have been hanging out a lot more lately. It kind of made me feel a little left out at times, but it's okay. You guys were busy and under weird circumstances."

"Iida, I still see you as a great friend," Uraraka said to him, "I'm sorry that I never noticed that back in Paris. We should've at least trained together more. You did a great job in Paris considering everything that happened."

"Even when I was akumatized," Iida pointed out as he gripped onto his pants, "I got caught, and you still look to me as Class Rep., and a friend."

"Of course. You've gotten us through a lot of things," Uraraka said back, "I know that Midoriya feels the same way. We all definitely wouldn't be working as hard if it wasn't for you."

Iida smiled at her and noticed Midoriya stirring a little in his sleep. He worried that Chrysalis was planning something, but he just went back to sleeping. After a moment of sitting there, he felt a yawn come over him. He took off his glasses and settled down in his sleeping bag. Luckily, the couch was long and comfortable enough to sleep on fully. He used a couple of the blankets as a pillow and rolled them up.

Uraraka smiled at him and quietly watched TV with Midoriya sleeping on her shoulder. Iida kept his eye on Midoriya and never noticed anything weird happening with him. He barely even twitched or reacted when Uraraka tried to adjust his sleeping position. Iida felt himself start to drift to sleep just watching Midoriya sleeping. After a long time of watching him not doing anything, Iida fell asleep on the couch.

Another amazing chapter!

I actually really like this chapter! Iida is definitely one of my favorite characters, and I feel like doesn't get enough attention sometimes! I just really like how I added him into this part of the story! I love him and Inko having a genuine conversation about him being Class Rep.! I just love him! I was going to have Bakugo stay down there with them, but I thought that this was would be a great time for Iida to have a moment! This definitely won't be his last!

What's going to happen next??

More to come soon!
