Chapter 81 Dessert Baking

Ash and Alice arrive at Dullfern Forest, responding to Insey's invitation. The dense canopy above casts dappled shadows on the forest floor, creating an atmosphere that feels both mysterious and inviting.

Insey greets them with a warm smile, "Thank you for coming, brother, and Alice. I assume you've heard about what Mom told you yesterday, right?"

Ash nods, "Yeah, she wants me to make a movie about the Rikoto Region, with Alice and me as the main characters. So, I guess this is your hideout?"

Insey chuckles softly, looking around at the towering trees. "I lived in the forest for a long time before I was adopted into your family. So, I like my living place to be close to the forest. Bug-type Pokémon are my favorite, so we're going to focus on the Bug-type part of the movie here."

Ash smiles and reaches for his Pokéballs, releasing a diverse array of Bug-type Pokémon onto the soft, moss-covered ground. Stickut, Widox, Glowing, Casspring, Pixilily, Taraterror, Wormole, Cassand, Jeweltal, Fyant, Rottoween, Mosliquo, Dracofly, Mossnail, and finally, Cryscoon, all appear before them.

Alice gasps in surprise, her eyes widening as she notices one of the Pokémon. "Wait, your Cryscoon hasn't evolved into its final form yet?"

"Well, I guess it's going to happen soon. I was actually hoping to evolve him into his final form today," Ash replies, a hint of excitement in his voice.

Insey grins, "Then I'll help you. It would be great to have all the final forms for the movie."

Unbeknownst to them, two figures quietly observe from the shadows of the trees—Tracy and Iris, two of the Pokémon murderers. Tracy narrows his eyes, studying the unfamiliar Pokémon. "I don't recognize any of Ash's Pokémon."

Iris's gaze locks onto one in particular. Her eyes gleam with interest as she spots Dracofly. "That one over there looks like a Dragon type! I'd love to have one like that."

Ash smiles at his Pokémon, "Alright, everyone, we're going to start filming the movie soon, so let's get some training in first. Cryscoon, we're going to evolve you into your final form. How does that sound?"

Cryscoon jumps into Ash's arms, nodding enthusiastically, its cocoon-like body brimming with anticipation. The other Pokémon scatter around the forest, eager to begin their own training routines.

With Insey's guidance and support, Ash works with Cryscoon, pushing it to new heights. After an intense session, Cryscoon begins to glow, its form shifting and expanding. The glow fades to reveal Crystwing, a beautiful, delicate Pokémon with wings that shimmer in shades of icy blue and aqua. Its body is sleek, adorned with smooth, white wings that glisten like crystal in the sunlight, and its eyes now reflect a serene, otherworldly light.

Ash grins with pride, "You did it, Crystwing! You've evolved beautifully!"

Crystiwing: The Clear Wing Pokémon: Bug and Ice Type. Evolve from Cryscoon at LV:54. Crystiwing's wings, though fragile, are extraordinarily sharp, to the point where it can cleave a glacier into half. Such is why no bird Pokémon dare to prey on it.

Insey nods with satisfaction at Crystwing's transformation. "Now that it has evolved, let's get started with the movie content. One of my hobbies is baking—I really enjoy making cakes and desserts. How about we have your Pokémon help make some sweets?"

"Baking sweets? That sounds fun!" Alice says, her smile widening at the thought.

Ash chuckles, intrigued by the idea. "It does sound like a great experience. So, how should we go about it?"

"We're going to prepare five different desserts," Insey explains, a twinkle of excitement in his eyes. "Each Pokémon will use their moves to help out in the process. It'll be a fun and unique way to showcase their abilities!"

Ash and Alice nod as they decide to help out with the process. Stickut carefully slices fresh berries from the nearby trees with its sharp claws, ensuring each one is perfectly cut. The berries are then gathered into a bowl, where Glowing uses its electric abilities to create a gentle heat, warming the mixture just enough to release the fruits' natural sweetness. The forest around them is bathed in a soft, warm light as Glowing works. Finally, Casspring hops high into the air, using its spring-like legs to sprinkle finely crushed nuts from above, creating a delightful topping. The result is a beautifully crafted dessert they call Forest Berry Delight, ready to be enjoyed.

Pixilily flutters around, gathering the ripest, sweetest berries from the forest, her tiny wings leaving a trail of sparkling dust in the air. The berries are then handed to Widox, who carefully uses a small amount of its venom to create a unique, tangy syrup, balancing sweetness with a hint of tartness. Meanwhile, Cassand patiently grinds down some rare desert spices with its strong, earthy claws, adding a warm, aromatic depth to the mixture. The final creation, a rich and flavorful Enchanted Berry Tart, is a perfect blend of sweetness, spice, and a touch of magic.

Mosliquo delicately sips water from a nearby river, mixing it with fermented fruit stored in its abdomen to create a smooth, refined wine. The wine is then poured into a large bowl, where Taraterror, despite its intimidating size, gently crushes sweet, ripe fruits with its powerful claws, blending them into the mixture. Finally, Crystwing uses its razor-sharp wings to shave thin, crystalline ice from a nearby glacier, adding a frosty, elegant touch to the dessert. The result is a refreshing and sophisticated creation, aptly named Frosted Fruit Sorbet, perfectly chilled and bursting with flavor.

Wormole starts by digging into the soft earth, uncovering sweet, earthy truffles hidden beneath the forest floor. These truffles are carefully gathered and brought to the surface. Jeweltal, with its rock-hard shell, finely grinds some nuts and seeds to create a rich, nutty flour. Meanwhile, Mossnail uses its moss-covered shell to gently roll the truffles in the nut flour, adding a crunchy, flavorful coating. The result is a delightful Forest Truffle Crunch, a dessert that combines the richness of truffles with the satisfying texture of nuts, offering a delicious treat from the heart of the forest.

Fyant carefully heats a mixture of dark chocolate and spices with its fiery bite, creating a rich, molten base. Meanwhile, Rottoween uses its eerie, ghostly powers to carve small, spooky jack-o-lanterns out of sweet pumpkins, filling them with the molten chocolate. Dracofly, with a swift, precise motion, uses its sharp claws to create intricate, dragon-shaped sugar decorations that are delicately placed atop each dessert. The final result, Spiced Dragon Lanterns, is a decadent treat that blends the warmth of chocolate with the spice of the season, topped with a touch of draconic elegance.

"Wow, those sure are some good-looking desserts," Insey remarks, eyeing the array of treats with a mix of pride and curiosity. "But I wonder what they taste like."

Ash, Alice, and Insey exchange excited glances before deciding to dive in for a taste test. Each of them takes a different dessert, eager to see how their Pokémon's efforts have turned out.

Ash carefully picks up a Forest Berry Delight, savoring the sweet and tangy flavors that burst in his mouth. Alice samples the Enchanted Berry Tart, delighting in the perfect balance of sweetness and spice, while Insey bites into a Spiced Dragon Lantern, the warmth of the molten chocolate blending beautifully with the subtle heat of the spices.

As they savor each bite, their faces light up with satisfaction. "These are amazing!" Ash exclaims between bites. "Our Pokémon really outdid themselves!"

Alice nods in agreement, her eyes sparkling with joy. "We captured some great moments on camera—these desserts will really showcase the unique abilities of our Pokémon."

Insey grins, pleased with the success of their dessert-making adventure. "This footage is going to make the movie even more special. The world's going to love it!"

Just then, they hear the rustling of bushes nearby, and Pikachu's ears perk up as it lets out a sharp, "Pika! Someone's over there!"

Ash, Alice, and Insey gasp in surprise, turning toward the source of the sound. Ash steps forward, his voice firm and commanding, "Who's there? Show yourselves!"

Hidden in the dense foliage, Iris and Tracy freeze, caught off guard by their discovery. Tracy quickly gestures for Iris to stay hidden, then cautiously steps out from behind the bushes. As he emerges, Ash's eyes narrow in recognition.

"Tracy Sketch..." Ash's voice is laced with anger, "you dare show up here?"

"So what if I am?" Tracy sneers back, his expression twisted with a mix of arrogance and disdain. "You really are hard to find, but not impossible."

Ash's anger flares, his fists clenching. "What do you want with me? You used to be Professor Oak's assistant, and this is how you repay him? By murdering him and stealing my Pokémon?" His voice trembles with fury. "And where are the others? Are you alone?"

Tracy smirks, unfazed by Ash's rage. "Oh, they'll be here soon enough. Thanks to your little training session, I've managed to sketch your Pokémon. Now I know all about them." With a swift motion, he releases Venomoth and Scizor from their Pokéballs, both Pokémon poised and ready for battle.

As the air thickens with tension, two of Ash's Pokémon—Stickut and Crystwing—step forward, their eyes blazing with anger. They remember Tracy's cruelty all too well, and they are eager to unleash their fury.

Ash's voice is cold and determined. "You remember the Heracross and Leavanny you killed? They've returned to me as these two Pokémon! Let's see if you can handle their rage!"

The battle begins with Tracy's Venomoth fluttering its wings rapidly, releasing a cloud of toxic powder. "Venomoth, use Poison Powder!" Tracy commands, aiming to cripple Ash's Pokémon early on.

"Stickut, counter with Bug Bomb!" Ash shouts.

Stickut spins swiftly, releasing a glowing, green orb that hurtles toward Venomoth. The orb explodes upon impact, covering Venomoth in a sticky, pulsating substance. Venomoth falters in midair, its movements suddenly sluggish as paralysis takes hold.

"Now, Crystwing, Ice Shard!" Ash commands.

Crystwing's wings shimmer as it launches razor-sharp shards of ice at Venomoth, striking it down with precision. Venomoth crashes to the ground, unable to continue.

Tracy grits his teeth. "Scizor, use Bullet Punch!"

Scizor darts forward with blinding speed, aiming directly for Crystwing. But Stickut intercepts, taking the hit and standing firm. Ash's eyes narrow. "Stickut, Bug Bomb again!"

Stickut releases another Bug Bomb, this time targeting Scizor. The explosive impact leaves Scizor paralyzed, its swift movements now severely hindered.

"Crystwing, finish it with Blizzard!" Ash calls out.

Crystwing flaps its wings, summoning a fierce blizzard that engulfs Scizor in a flurry of ice and snow. The cold is too much for Scizor, and it collapses, defeated.

Ash watches as Tracy's Pokémon fall, his expression hardening. "Now your Pokémon have fainted," Ash says, his voice cold and resolute. "Insey, call the police. Alice, make sure nobody else is around here. They're after my Pokémon, and they're not leaving with any!"

Insey and Alice nod without hesitation. Insey quickly pulls out his phone to contact the authorities, while Alice scans the surrounding area, ensuring no one else is lurking in the shadows.

Tracy's face pales as he realizes the gravity of the situation. Seeing no other option, he turns and bolts into the forest, his voice trembling with both fear and anger as he yells over his shoulder, "This isn't over!" Iris is also surprised at Tracy's defeat, she quickly rushes after him without Ash and the others noticing.

Ash watches him disappear into the trees, his fists still clenched. "It will be," he mutters, determination burning in his eyes.

Just as the tension begins to ease, Delia arrives, her expression a mix of concern and determination, she quickly assesses the situation, noticing the fainted Pokémon and the serious looks on Ash and his friends' faces.

Insey frowns as he steps forward. "Mom, Tracy managed to escape. We tried to stop him, but he got away before we could do anything."

Delia's eyes narrow, but before she can respond, Alice steps in with a reassuring tone. "Don't worry, Mrs. Ketchum. The Pokémon are safe. We made sure no one else was around, and Tracy didn't get his hands on any of them."

Delia's stern expression softens slightly as she places a comforting hand on Insey's shoulder. "You did your best, and that's what matters. We'll make sure Tracy doesn't get another chance."

Ash nods in agreement, his resolve unwavering. "We'll protect our Pokémon, no matter what. That reminds me, Mom. Want to try out the new desserts that we made?"

"Sure." Delia smiles before reaching for the dessert as they head back indoors to eat them.

Here is a new chapter, and this chapter is focusing on Bug Types and I hope you like it. The next chapter will be the Rock Type part.
