Chapter 82 Jewel Mine Hunt

Ash and Alice arrive at the entrance of Jewel Mine, the anticipation building as they prepare to film the next part of the movie, which will also feature Ash's first Elite Four battle.

Rocco, the Rock-type Elite Four member, is already waiting for them, his presence commanding. "Hello, Ash, Alice," he greets them with a nod. "I trust you've brought your Rock-type Pokémon with you?"

"Of course," Ash replies with a confident smile. "And I've also got my team ready to battle you."

Rocco grins, clearly eager for the challenge. "So, what's on the agenda for filming today?" Ash asks.

Rocco glances at the imposing entrance of the mine, the rocks glittering faintly in the sunlight. "This is the Jewel Mine, huh? I wonder if we might encounter the Mythical Pokémon, Gemmany..."

Alice's eyes widen in surprise. "Gemmany? You mean the Mythical Pokémon that can create precious jewels out of ordinary rocks?"

Rocco nods, his expression thoughtful. "Yes, it's said to be located somewhere in this mine. Let's head inside and see if we can find it."

As Ash, Alice, and Rocco head deeper into the Jewel Mine, two figures quietly trail behind them—Brock and Corey. Keeping a safe distance, Brock narrows his eyes as he watches the trio disappear into the mine's dark entrance. "So, they're heading inside the mine..." he mutters.

Corey, standing a few steps back, crosses his arms and sneers. "Tch, I'm not going in there to dirty my hands, you pervert."

Brock shoots him a glare. "Are you scared?" he taunts. "This is our chance to get his Pokémon!"

Corey scoffs, clearly unimpressed. "And you expect me to follow them into that dark, filthy place? In your dreams. I'll wait for you here, but if you want to go in, do it alone. Or should I remind you who's calling the shots here?"

Brock clenches his fists, his frustration evident. He knows Corey holds the upper hand—he's the criminal, not Corey. Without a word, Brock reluctantly turns his attention back to the mine, torn between the opportunity and the risk. Corey smirks, leaning casually against a rock, knowing full well that Brock has no choice but to comply. As Brock finally makes his way toward the entrance, he knows he's on his own.

As they step into the mine, the darkness envelops them, and Rocco glances around, a hint of unease in his voice. "Oh, wow, it's really dark in here. I hope you have a flashlight or something..."

Ash grins, already prepared. "Of course we do! I mean, if we didn't, how would we film this?" He pulls out a flashlight and switches it on, casting a beam of light that cuts through the pitch-black surroundings.

With the path now illuminated, Ash reaches for his Pokéballs and releases his Rock-type Pokémon to assist in the search for Gemmany. One by one, they appear, ready to help. Alice, impressed by the sight, comments, "All 18 of them?"

Ash nods, his excitement growing. "Yep, and while we're at it, we might even find some jewels. We could carve them into something special."

Rocco chuckles at the thought. "You can carve jewels, Ash?"

Ash shrugs with a playful grin. "Well, I guess I could give it a try."

While Ash, Alice, and Rocco find Gemmany on their own, Leonite leads the way, its diamond-hard mane and claws effortlessly slicing through the rocks, uncovering hidden passageways and glimmering jewels embedded in the walls. Baablock follows close behind, using its rock-hard wool to push aside debris and create sturdy barriers, ensuring their path remains clear and safe. Crystox carefully maneuvers through narrow crevices, its crystallized poison crystals glowing faintly in the dark, revealing hidden veins of rare minerals.

Jeweltal perches atop rocky ledges, its jewel-like body glinting in the dim light as it scans the area for hidden gemstones, guiding Ash and the others with its keen sense for precious minerals. Mossnail moves methodically along the ground, its moss-covered shell picking up small, valuable stones that it carefully deposits in Ash's collection bag. Golossus, towering and vigilant, uses its immense strength to break through thick rock walls, revealing hidden chambers and ancient treasures buried deep within the mine.

Tarexite leads the charge through the mine, its fiery presence illuminating the darkest corners as its molten claws effortlessly carve through volcanic rock, revealing ancient, hidden treasures. Eclipser follows closely, its control over light and darkness casting beams that pierce through the gloom, highlighting veins of precious minerals buried deep within the stone. Meanwhile, Rockster uses its powerful, layered claws to smash through the toughest barriers, breaking open concealed chambers that hold rare gems.

Iglow moves slowly but steadily through the mine, summoning freezing winds to clear loose debris and reveal hidden gems frozen deep within the rock. Stegasteel's electrically charged plates crackle with energy as it powers through tougher walls, its steel-clad body breaking through layers of stone with ease, lighting up even the darkest recesses. Meanwhile, Bouldoise uses its near-impenetrable shell to bulldoze through narrow passageways, creating new routes while shrugging off any falling rocks or debris.

Mountree stands vigilant at the entrance, its granite-hard shell offering protection as it uses its massive strength to clear large boulders, revealing hidden paths within the mine. Volcadon, with its fiery core, carefully melts away obstructing rock formations, using its controlled lava flow to expose precious minerals embedded in the stone. Cocorocko, with its rock-hard coconuts, knocks loose smaller gems from high-up crevices, its precise aim turning the treasure hunt into a lively game.

Coraltle glides effortlessly through underground streams within the mine, using its light yet sturdy shell to navigate tight coral-like formations and uncover hidden gems nestled among the rocks. Specstone drifts through the cavern, its ghostly form phasing through walls to search for precious minerals buried deep within, gathering stray stones to fortify its ever-changing body. Meanwhile, Meterock zips around the mine's vast chambers, its electrified body illuminating the darkest corners as it crashes into loose boulders, breaking them apart to reveal sparkling treasures.

As Ash, Alice, and Rocco continue their search for Gemmany, they suddenly hear voices echoing through the winding tunnels of the Jewel Mine.

"Aww maaaan..." "Boss, this place is like a maze, it's impossible!" "It's here somewhere! Just look at all the jewels on the wall! That Pokémon is definitely here!" "My feet hurt..." "Do you know how many times I've tripped over!?" "Shut it, you two! Keep moving, it's here, I know it!"

Ash, Alice, and Rocco exchange puzzled glances, the confusion clear on their faces. Rocco furrows his brow, listening closely to the distant voices. "I wonder who those guys are... They mentioned jewels, so they might be looking for Gemmany too."

Ash nods, concern evident in his expression. "If they're after Gemmany, we can't let them find it first."

Alice, always alert, adds, "We should definitely keep an eye on them. They could be trouble."

Rocco agrees, his tone serious. "Let's stay sharp and keep moving. We might not be the only ones on this hunt."

With renewed focus, the trio quietly continues their search, now more aware of the potential competition lurking in the mine's dark depths.

As they follow the voices, Ash, Alice, and Rocco catch sight of the people ahead. The group is dressed entirely in black, their faces obscured by masks and sunglasses. A sense of unease settles over the trio as they realize something is very wrong.

"You think we're close?" one of the masked figures asks.

"Gotta be, boss. Have you figured out how you're gonna catch it?" another replies.

"Of course, I have, you clod! I've got a Master Ball. Once I've caught it, I'll make it create countless valuable jewels that I'll sell for a fortune. I'll be rich!" the leader sneers.

Ash, Alice, and Rocco exchange alarmed looks, instantly recognizing the danger. "They're burglars!" Rocco realizes, his voice rising in anger. Without hesitation, he steps forward and shouts, "You can't do this!"

The leader whirls around, eyes narrowing behind his mask. "And who are you?"

One of the lackeys gasps, recognizing the duo. "Hey, wait, I know those two! The short one's a member of the Elite Four, and the other one's the new Champion!"

The leader scoffs dismissively. "I don't care who you are. Get outta here!"

Ash steps up, Pikachu already sparking with electricity. "We won't let you catch Gemmany and use it like that."

The leader laughs mockingly. "You won't let me? You can't stop me! You two, get these kids outta here while I go find Gemmany!"

With that, the leader takes off deeper into the mine, leaving the two lackeys behind to face Ash and Rocco. But they are no match for Ash's Pikachu and Rocco's Leonite. A quick combination of Thunderbolt and Diamond Claw leaves the burglars' Pokémon defeated in seconds.

"Aww, man..." one of the burglars groans, clutching his fallen Pokémon.

"We better find the boss and warn him!" the other exclaims, scrambling to his feet.

As they flee, Rocco huffs in frustration. "Those guys are so annoying! Come on, Ash and Alice, we have to chase them. We can't let them catch Gemmany!"

With determination fueling them, the trio rushes deeper into the mine, intent on stopping the burglars and protecting the mythical Gemmany.

When Ash, Alice, and Rocco finally catch up, they find the three burglars standing in front of a small, mystical Pokémon. Gemmany has a delicate, almost otherworldly appearance, with a pale pink body and two large, blue crystals floating effortlessly near its head. Its eyes are a deep, vivid red, filled with a mix of curiosity and fear as it faces the intruders.

"Puff puff Those kids are strong, boss!" one of the lackeys wheezes, clutching his side. "We tried, but we couldn't beat them!"

"Puff puff Sorry, boss!" the other adds, equally exhausted.

The leader snarls in frustration. "Again, you two are useless… Get out of my way!" He steps forward, his gaze fixed on Gemmany. "Gemmany, I'm going to capture you, and you will do exactly as I say!"

One of the lackeys shouts excitedly, "OH MY GOD! IS THIS GEMMANY!? CATCH IT, BOSS!"

But before the leader can make a move, Alice shouts, "No, you won't! Gemmany, run! This man is going to capture you and force you to make jewels for him!"

The leader's eyes flare with anger as he turns to face them. "You two again! Grrr… you're really getting on my nerves. You should learn to mind your own business. Maybe it's time I taught you a lesson!"

He lunges at Ash, but Ash's Pokémon are ready. In a flash, they unleash a coordinated attack, swiftly defeating the leader's Pokémon before he can even react.

"PESTS!" the leader roars, reaching for his last resort. "I'LL STILL CATCH GEMMANY WITH THIS MASTER BALL!" He pulls out the Master Ball and prepares to throw it, but just as it leaves his hand, Gemmany's eyes glow with psychic energy. In an instant, the air crackles with power as Gemmany uses Teleport, and the three burglars vanish into thin air, along with the Master Ball.

Ash, Alice, and Rocco stand stunned for a moment, realizing that Gemmany has saved itself from capture. The mine falls silent, the danger having passed as quickly as it had come.

Rocco chuckles, shaking his head in amazement. "It teleported them away from here... Haha! Well, I guess that's one way to get them to leave!" He notices the Master Ball lying on the ground and picks it up carefully, knowing its potential danger. "I'd better hand this over to Delia. A ball like this could capture any Pokémon—it's too dangerous to leave lying around."

As the situation calms, Gemmany floats gently over to Ash and Alice, its red eyes softening as it gazes at them. There's a brief pause, and then a small, sweet voice echoes in their minds.

"Thank you for saving me. I could feel your kindness even from a distance. I've been alone for so long, hiding from those who wanted to use me. But you… you want to protect me. I would like to join your team, if you'll have me."

Ash and Alice exchange a delighted glance. Ash smiles warmly, extending a hand toward Gemmany. "We'd be honored to have you with us, Gemmany."

Gemmany's eyes light up with joy, and it floats down to rest beside them, its heart full of newfound trust and friendship.

Gemmany: The Gemstone Pokemon: Rock and Fairy Type. Gemmany collects any gems it sees. However, tales have it that it would still generously give out jewels to those who asked.

As they make their way back to the Pokémon, Ash, Alice, and Rocco notice a shadow darting away from sight. Alice furrows her brow, curiosity piqued. "Who's that?"

Ash narrows his eyes, recognizing the figure. "I think that's Brock. But what is he doing here?"

Rocco looks at Ash in surprise. "You mean the Brock who traveled with you through four regions? It's hard to believe someone like him would do something as terrible as murdering your Pokémon..." He shakes his head, sighing heavily. "But let's focus on what we came here for. How about that Elite Four battle we promised?"

Ash nods, a smile spreading across his face. "Sure."

As Ash gathers his Pokémon back, he, Alice, and Rocco are stunned by what they see. The Pokémon have uncovered a veritable mountain of treasures—gems, crystals, and rare minerals gleaming in the light.

"No way..." Alice gasps, her eyes wide with amazement. She quickly turns to her Rotom Phone, checking the video footage they had recorded for the movie. "You guys really did find all those treasures?"

The Pokémon all look up proudly, their eyes shining with the satisfaction of a job well done. It's clear they've gone above and beyond in their search, and now, with Gemmany safely by their side, the group is ready to take on the next challenge.

Back outside, Brock is panting heavily, while Corey looks at him with disdain. "You're too weak, Brock. Running away like that? Pathetic."

Brock glares back, his frustration evident. "You have no right to say that when you didn't even go inside."

"What did you say?" Corey snaps, stepping closer as tensions rise. But before their argument can escalate into a fight, they hear voices approaching. They quickly hide as they spot Ash and Rocco emerging from the mine entrance.

"Anyway, let's get professional!" Rocco's voice rings out confidently. "As you know, my name is Rocco, and I specialize in Rock-type Pokémon! They're strong, sturdy, and can be hard to beat! I'm about to rock this battle! Get ready!"

Ash grins, feeling the familiar rush of adrenaline that always comes before a big battle. "I'm ready, Rocco. Let's do this!"

The two trainers take their positions, and the battle begins. Rocco sends out his first Pokémon, Leonite. The sleek Rock-type Pokémon growls, its diamond-hard claws glinting in the light. Ash quickly responds by sending out Rockster. The two Rock-type Pokémon face off, both exuding strength and determination.

Leonite begins by kicking up a Sandstorm, reducing visibility and gradually chipping away at Rockster's health. Rockster retaliates with Aqua Jet, surging through the storm to land a solid hit on Leonite. Leonite shakes it off and counters with Stealth Rock, setting up hazards for the upcoming battles. Rockster then switches to Rock Blast, pelting Leonite with a barrage of rocks, but Leonite stands firm, hitting back with a powerful Diamond Claw.

After a few more exchanges of blows, Rockster manages to gain the upper hand with a decisive Hydro Pump, the powerful blast of water overcoming Leonite's defenses and leaving it unable to continue.

Rocco recalls Leonite, unfazed. "Not bad, but let's see how you handle this! Cocorocko, go!"

Cocorocko, with its rock-hard coconuts, enters the battlefield, ready to fight. Ash recalls Rockster, who's taken considerable damage, and sends out Stegasteel.

Cocorocko starts by using Leech Seed, which begins to sap Stegasteel's strength slowly. Stegasteel counters with Stone Edge, landing a hit, but Cocorocko retaliates with Power-Up Punch, boosting its own attack power while dealing damage. The two Pokémon exchange several more hits—Cocorocko with Rock Blast and Stegasteel with Iron Tail—but the Leech Seed continues to wear Stegasteel down.

Finally, Stegasteel unleashes a boosted Stone Edge that critically wounds Cocorocko, but the persistent draining from Leech Seed causes Stegasteel to faint right after. Both Pokémon are knocked out simultaneously.

Ash and Rocco exchange a glance, recognizing the even match. Ash sends out Coraltle next, while Rocco chooses Jeweltal.

Jeweltal, with its electric energy, opens with Shatter Gem, striking Coraltle with a high-powered electric blast. Coraltle winces but fights back with Aqua Jet, hitting Jeweltal before it can react. Jeweltal then uses Bug Buzz, a powerful sound-based attack that disrupts Coraltle's focus, but Coraltle retaliates with a solid Surf, sending a wave crashing over Jeweltal. The battle rages on, with Jeweltal landing a Rock Polish to increase its speed and following up with Ice Beam.

Just as it seems Jeweltal might take the win, Coraltle uses a perfectly timed Aqua Jet, exploiting a momentary lapse in Jeweltal's speed boost. The impact is enough to knock Jeweltal out, leaving Coraltle victorious but heavily weakened.

Rocco narrows his eyes, seeing that Ash is not to be underestimated. "Bouldoise, you're up!"

Ash decides to stick with Coraltle, but Bouldoise wastes no time, launching a devastating Earthquake that knocks Coraltle out before it can react.

Ash recalls Coraltle and sends out Mountree. Mountree sets up a Leech Seed on Bouldoise, and the battle begins anew. Bouldoise tries to overwhelm Mountree with Stone Edge and Earthquake, but Mountree's resilient defense and the constant energy drain from Leech Seed keep it in the fight. Mountree counters with Wood Hammer, a powerful Grass-type move that deals significant damage, despite the recoil.

After a grueling exchange, the steady damage from Leech Seed combined with another Wood Hammer brings Bouldoise to its knees, giving Ash another win. Rocco, now down to his final two Pokémon, sends out Volcadon. The fierce Fire/Rock-type erupts onto the field, its flames roaring.

Ash recalls Mountree and sends out Pikachu. Pikachu darts toward Volcadon, attempting to land a hit with Quick Attack, but Volcadon counters with Lava Plume, creating an inferno around the battlefield. Pikachu dodges and retaliates with Thunderbolt, but Volcadon's tough exterior absorbs the impact. The two Pokémon exchange multiple blows—Volcadon using Eruption and Pikachu responding with Iron Tail—but Volcadon's overwhelming power starts to take its toll.

Ash quickly switches to Blastoise to take advantage of the type matchup. Blastoise immediately uses Hydro Pump, dousing Volcadon's flames and forcing it back. Volcadon counters with Earth Power, causing the ground to shake beneath Blastoise, but Blastoise steadies itself and fires a decisive Water Pulse, knocking Volcadon out of the battle.

Rocco grins, sending out his final Pokémon. "This has been a great battle, Ash, but now it's time for my ace. Go, Golossus!"

Golossus, the massive Rock/Fighting-type, towers over the battlefield, its presence imposing. Blastoise braces for the final showdown. Golossus starts strong, using Revenge to deal a powerful blow after Blastoise's initial Water Pulse. The impact is fierce, but Blastoise holds firm, countering with Ice Beam to slow Golossus down. Golossus roars, shaking off the ice and charging forward with Rock Slide, pelting Blastoise with large boulders. Blastoise manages to block most of the damage with its sturdy shell, but the battle is clearly taking a toll on both Pokémon.

Realizing that Golossus's raw power could overwhelm Blastoise if the battle drags on, Ash decides to end it decisively. Blastoise charges up for its most powerful move, Hydro Cannon. As Golossus prepares another Revenge, Blastoise unleashes the massive blast of water, striking Golossus with full force.

The sheer power of Hydro Cannon overwhelms Golossus, sending it crashing to the ground, unable to continue. Ash emerges victorious, having taken down Rocco's final and strongest Pokémon.

Rocco grins widely, impressed by the intense battle. "Wow! What a great battle! Even my strong Rock-types were no match for you! Maybe you really do have what it takes to make it to the Champion! Well, we're done here. You can move on to the next member of the Elite Four!"

Ash smiles, feeling a surge of confidence. "Thanks, Rocco. That was an awesome battle!"

Alice nods in agreement, giving Rocco a friendly wave. "Thanks, Rocco! We'll see you around!"

With that, Ash and Alice bid farewell to Rocco and head off to face the next challenge, their spirits high and determination unwavering.

Unbeknownst to them, Brock and Corey are hidden behind the rocks, watching the whole exchange. Corey sneers, his eyes narrowing. "So this Ash Ketchum is going for the Champion..."

Brock's expression hardens with resolve. "And he won't make it. We'll make sure of it."

As Ash and Alice walk away, unaware of the danger lurking in the shadows, the two former friends-turned-enemies plot their next move, determined to stop Ash from achieving his goal.

Here is a new chapter, and we have our first Elite Four battle and also the Rock Types. I hope you like it and the next chapter will be the next type.
