Naruto's New Look

The morning of the team assignments dawned bright and clear, and Naruto Uzumaki stepped out of his apartment with a renewed sense of confidence. His new look was a far cry from the brightly colored, slightly ragged clothes he had worn during his academy days. Now, he looked every bit the shinobi he was destined to become.

Naruto's outfit was a combination of practicality and style, carefully chosen by Ino to both suit his personality and ensure he was ready for whatever challenges lay ahead.

Starting from the ground up, Naruto wore sleek black boots that were sturdy enough for the rough terrain of missions but also lightweight for agility. His pants were the same black as his boots, the tactical Anbu-style pants designed for durability and flexibility. They had several pockets, perfect for storing ninja tools, and were tucked neatly into his boots, giving him a streamlined, ready-for-action appearance.

His hands were protected by black fingerless gloves, which provided grip and protection without sacrificing dexterity. These gloves were a nod to the more seasoned ninja he aspired to be, a subtle but important part of his new look.

Underneath, Naruto wore an orange carbon mesh undershirt. The mesh was a deep, burnt orange—a reminder of his favorite color—while the carbon material provided a layer of protection without being too bulky. It was a practical choice, combining his love for orange with the seriousness of being a shinobi.

Over the mesh shirt, he wore a long-sleeved top that was a striking red with white accents. The shirt's material was lightweight yet strong, designed to wick away moisture and keep him comfortable during intense training sessions or missions. The color red was a bold choice, symbolizing his fiery determination and the Uzumaki bloodline that he was so proud of.

To top it all off, Naruto donned a black trench coat with a hood. The coat was stylish and functional, with enough length to protect him from the elements but tailored enough not to hinder his movements. The hood added an air of mystery, and the coat's black color contrasted sharply with the red and orange of his other clothes, giving him a balanced, striking appearance.

Slung across his back was a sword—something that would surprise many who knew Naruto for his boisterous personality. This sword had been a gift from Neko (Yugao Uzuki), who had taught Naruto the basics of kenjutsu, particularly the style passed down from his mother. The sword's sleek design was practical, but it also held great sentimental value, connecting him to his mother's legacy in a tangible way. The hilt was wrapped in black and red, matching his overall color scheme, and the blade itself was sharp and well-maintained, ready for use if needed.

Naruto looked at himself in the mirror one last time before heading out. He couldn't help but smile. This was the first time he felt like he truly looked the part of a shinobi—not just some loud kid who wanted to be Hokage, but someone who could actually make it happen.

The Day of Team Assignments

As Naruto made his way to the academy, he noticed several heads turning in his direction. Some of the villagers who used to ignore him or give him dirty looks were now looking at him with something resembling respect. The new outfit, combined with his growing reputation, was clearly making an impression.

When he entered the classroom, he was met with wide eyes and surprised expressions from his classmates. Even Sasuke, usually so aloof, glanced over with a look of curiosity. Ino, who was already seated with Shikamaru, gave Naruto a thumbs-up and a wink, clearly pleased with the results of their shopping trip.

Iruka stood at the front of the classroom, waiting for the students to settle down. As the last of them took their seats, he began to speak, his voice carrying the weight of the moment.

"Today is a very important day," Iruka began, his tone serious but warm. "You have all worked hard to reach this point, and now it's time to take the next step in your journey as shinobi of the Hidden Leaf Village. Today, you will be assigned to your teams."

The room was filled with anticipation, every student eager to know who they would be paired with. Iruka smiled, seeing the mix of excitement and nervousness in their eyes.

"Let's start with Team 7," Iruka announced. "Team 7 will consist of Kiba inuzuka Sasuke Uchiha, and Hinata Hyuga. Your jonin leader will be Kakashi Hatake."

Naruto blinked in surprise with not being on a team with Sasuke. he wanted to have a chance to prove himself against the boy he had always seen as a rival.

"Team 8," Iruka continued, "will be Shino Abrame, Sakura Haruno, and Choji Akimichi. Your jonin leader will be Kurenai Yuhi."

Sakura looked a bit disappointed at not being on the same team as Sasuke, but she quickly hid it, determined to make the best of her situation. Kiba, on the other hand, seemed excited, his usual energy even more pronounced at the prospect of being on a team with two strong allies.

"Finally, Team 10," Iruka said, "will consist of Shikamaru Nara, Ino Yamanaka, and Naruto Uzumaki. Your jonin leader will be Asuma Sarutobi."

As the students began to chat excitedly about their team assignments, Iruka gave Naruto a meaningful look. "Naruto, why don't you go show your new look to the Hokage? I'm sure he'd love to see how far you've come."

Naruto nodded enthusiastically. "Thanks, Iruka-sensei! I'll do that!"

With a final wave to his classmates, Naruto headed out of the classroom and made his way to the Hokage's office. He felt a surge of pride with every step, knowing that he was finally being recognized for the shinobi he was becoming.

When Naruto arrived at the Hokage's office, he knocked on the door and waited for Hiruzen's familiar voice to call him in.

"Come in, Naruto," Hiruzen said warmly as Naruto entered.

Naruto stepped into the office, grinning from ear to ear. "Jiji, check it out! What do you think?"

Hiruzen looked up from his desk, his eyes widening slightly as he took in Naruto's new appearance. The Third Hokage smiled, a deep sense of pride swelling in his chest. "Naruto, you look every bit the shinobi you've always wanted to be. This new look suits you very well."

Naruto beamed, feeling the weight of Hiruzen's words. "Thanks, Jiji! I wanted to show you first. I'm ready for anything now!"

As they spoke, the door to the office burst open, and in ran Konohamaru, Hiruzen's mischievous grandson. The boy was clearly up to something, trying to sneak up on Naruto, but in his excitement, he tripped over his long scarf and went tumbling to the floor.

"Konohamaru!" Naruto exclaimed, startled by the sudden commotion.

Konohamaru sat up, rubbing his head and immediately pointing at Naruto. "You made me trip, boss!"

Naruto crossed his arms, exasperated but not angry. "I didn't make you trip! You need to be more careful with that scarf, Konohamaru!"

Before the situation could escalate, Hiruzen's assistant appeared, out of breath from chasing the boy. "Young Master! You can't just run off like that!"

Konohamaru huffed, clearly frustrated, and stood up, ready to bolt out of the room again. But Naruto stepped in front of him, blocking his path.

"Hold on a second, Konohamaru," Naruto said, his voice firm but kind. "You've gotta stop causing trouble, or your grandpa's gonna have a heart attack!"

Konohamaru pouted, clearly not used to being scolded by Naruto. "I just wanted to surprise you, boss…"

Naruto sighed, his expression softening. "I get that, but you need to be careful. You're gonna get hurt if you keep running around like that. And besides, there's a time and place for everything. Right now, your grandpa's busy, and you should respect that."

Konohamaru looked down, clearly a little embarrassed. "Sorry, boss…"

Naruto ruffled the boy's hair, smiling. "It's okay. Just be more careful, alright?"

Konohamaru nodded, looking a bit more contrite. "Okay, boss."

With that, Konohamaru followed his teacher out of the office, leaving Naruto and Hiruzen alone again. The Third Hokage smiled at Naruto, his eyes filled with warmth
