Chapter 18: Hell in Hull?
Dylan and the girls were staring up at Botan as they knew things would be different against someone like her.
"What do you want to do?" Nami asked Dylan Riley as Botan had this smirk on her face.
"Nami, you'll have to use your Clima-Tact," Dylan said to Nami.
"Like a Thunderbolt Tempo?" Nami asked Dylan.
"No, we can't cause too much damage, we don't want people to raise suspicion about us," Dylan said to Nami.
"The only thing I can think of is you using your Clima-Tact like a bat or a staff," Dylan said to Nami.
"Got it," Nami said.
"But how are you going to get Nami up close to Botan?" Kinoko Komori asked Dylan.
"I know a way," Dylan said.
"Rista," Dylan said to Ristarte.
"What is it Dylan?" Ristarte asked Dylan.
"I want you to fly Nami up there and get her as close as you can to the oar," Dylan said to Ristarte.
"You got it," Ristarte said to Dylan and then she sprouts out her wings.
Nami then soon puts her Clima-Tact together as she was ready for battle.
"Okay I'm ready," Nami said.
"Rista, fly me up," Nami said to Ristarte as Ristarte gets behind Nami and puts her hands underneath the upper part of Nami's arms.
Ristarte then flies herself and Nami up, and then they fly towards Botan, while the others watch on.
"I'm surprised Rista is able to hold Nami," Aqua said in shock.
"Rista is a goddess, I think strength is one of her specialties," Dylan said.
"You sure?" Kinoko asked Dylan.
"Well that's my guess," Dylan said.
Ristarte manages to get Nami close to the oar as she had plans to get her onto it.
"Okay Nami, swing," Ristarte said to Nami and then Nami swings back and forth, building up enough force to launch onto the oar.
"Alright Rista, let go," Nami said to Ristarte and then Ristarte let go of Nami.
Nami manages to leap forward and lands on the oar with precision. She then twirls her Clima-Tact like a baton as Botan stands on the oar.
"Okay Botan, time to taste some Clima-Tact," Nami said to Botan.
"Bring it on pirate princess," Botan said to Nami as suddenly Nami froze in shock to hear Botan's voice.
Hearing Botan's voice set something off inside of Nami, the voice reminded her of her late adoptive mother, Bellemere.
"The way Botan speaks, it's like I'm hearing Bellemere," Nami thought.
During this train of thought, Botan sees an opportunity as she grabs onto the oar and swings back, as Nami slips off in the process. Botan then swings and strikes the oar on Nami's back with such hard force. The impact causes Nami to fall back onto the ground and slams onto the road with enough force to send up dust and leave a crater in the road.
"Oh my god Nami," Dylan said in horror to Nami as he races over to Nami.
Once the dust clears out, Nami was laying on the road as blood trickle down the right side of her face and was left with a big bruise on her back. Dylan then helps Nami up as Nami was looking upset.
"Nami, are you okay?" Dylan asked Nami as Nami's eyes were welled up with tears.
"I'm sorry Dylan, I can't fight," Nami said to Dylan as she covers her face with her hands and starts to sob quietly.
"Why Nami?" Dylan asked Nami.
"Her voice, it reminds me of Bell-, Bell-, Bell-," Nami said as she didn't have the strength to mention her mom.
"Bellemere, Botan's voice reminds you of her," Dylan said to Nami as Nami wipes the tears from her eyes.
"Yes," Nami said.
"I can't let you fight if it's making you upset, I'll think of something else, just take it easy," Dylan said to Nami.
"Oh thank you Dylan," Nami said to Dylan and then she gives him a soft hug.
"Okay, now find a place to sit if you don't want to get hurt some more," Dylan said to Nami as she breaks off the hug.
Nami then walks over to a sidewalk and sits down on it, as she was trying to hold back the tears.
"I don't what's happening, but it must be personal," Kinoko said as she saw Dylan and Nami interact.
"Yeah I have never seen Nami like that before," Aqua said.
"What do you want to do Dylan?" Ristarte asked Dylan as Dylan was nervous about what to do now.
After several seconds of thinking, Dylan had an idea.
"Rista, see if you can try to get Botan and take her down," Dylan said to Ristarte.
"You got it," Ristarte said to Dylan.
Ristarte then flies over to Botan, but Botan moves out of the way.
"Damn it, a shinigami shouldn't dodge a goddess," Ristarte thought.
"Maybe another punch will do her in," Ristarte thought as she rushes over to Botan again.
Botan sees Ristarte coming her way, so she dodges the punch and Ristarte couldn't believe it.
"You are no match for my mind reading abilities," Botan thought as Ristarte was getting mad.
Botan then flies away from Ristarte as Ristarte was not going to let a shinigami get the best of her.
"Hey get back here," Ristarte demanded to Botan and then she flies forward, trying to catch up to her.
"Focus Rista, we need to get that card out of her," Dylan said to Ristarte.
"Kinoko, your turn," Dylan said to Kinoko.
"What do you need?" Kinoko asked Dylan.
"I need you to use your Quirk and cover the road in mushrooms, that way if she gets in she won't get out and you can take her out," Dylan said to Kinoko.
"Got it," Kinoko said and then she walks to the center of the road.
Then, Kinoko runs her hands along the road as these mushrooms begin to grow out of it.
"Okay Kinoko, blast it," Dylan said to Kinoko.
Kinoko then pumps the handle on the water gun several times and then she pulls the trigger, spraying water all over the place. More mushrooms start to grow and the size of them got to be bigger than they imagine.
A few minutes later, the water gun was now empty as mushrooms were growing on four different buildings and the mushrooms on the road were about eight feet tall.
"Wow," Dylan said in amazement over the size of the mushrooms.
"There we go," Kinoko said and then she sticks out her tongue a little.
Back in the air, Ristarte finally caught up to Botan and starts to fire off punches towards her. But, Botan was dodging Ristarte's punches and had this smirk on her face.
"Come on shinigami, go down for me," Ristarte demanded to Botan as she stops punching.
"Actually, you are going down," Botan said to Ristarte as she pulls out a wooden baseball bat from one of her kimono sleeves.
"Oh," Ristarte said in concern over what Botan is holding.
"Be careful Rista, that bat is not soft," Dylan said to Ristarte.
Botan then swings the bat at Ristarte, but Ristarte was dodging each of Botan's swings.
"Oh shit, this is one feisty shinigami," Ristarte said in shock as she continues to dodge Botan's strikes.
After ten swings, Ristarte manages to hop onto Botan's oar and then she goes face to face with the shinigami.
"Okay Botan, time to take you down," Ristarte said to Botan.
"Oh please, like I'm afraid of some second rate goddess," Botan said in a cocky tone.
"I'm not a second rate goddess, and I'm going to prove it right here, right now," Ristarte said.
Botan looks to see a nine storey building not far from them as she had a plan. Botan then takes her bat and jabs it into Ristarte's ribs, which cause Ristarte to hold her ribs in pain.
Once they were less than fifteen away from the building, Botan stops the oar as Ristarte gets sent flying off of it. Then, Ristarte crashes through one of the windows as Dylan and Kinoko watch.
"Ouch," Kinoko said.
"Rista," Dylan said to Ristarte as he was concerned over Ristarte's health.
A minute later, Ristarte crashes out another window on the other side of the building. She then crashes into the billboard and then she falls face first onto the ground with a loud thud. Ristarte's wings soon disappear and Ristarte's back was a bit cut up with blood seeping onto her dress.
"Rista, are you okay?" Dylan asked Ristarte as he sees her in an alley.
"I'm fine, I have been through worse," Ristarte said as she slowly gets on her knees.
Soon, Botan descends to the ground and gets off her oar. She then puts her bat away and picks up her oar.
"Oh god, Rista look out," Dylan warned Ristarte.
"Don't worry Dylan, I can help," Aqua said to Dylan.
Aqua then stands next to a fire hydrant and tries to use her magic to manipulate the water inside it. Unfortunately, it didn't work as Aqua was both pissed and upset.
"Oh come on, this isn't fair," Aqua complained as she was crying hysterically.
Botan then makes her way into the alley as Ristarte manage to stand on her feet.
"Stay the fuck down," Botan said angrily to Ristarte and then she swings the oar really hard into Ristarte's ribs.
The force was hard enough for Ristarte to cough up blood as it splatter onto the concrete.
"Oh my god Rista," Kinoko said in horror to Ristarte over the sight of Ristarte coughing up blood.
Ristarte then gets on her knees and then she falls onto the concrete, holding her ribs in pain.
"Ha, fucking loser," Botan said to Ristarte as she stands over her.
Botan then turns around and looks over to Kinoko with a sadistic smile on her face.
"You're next mushroom girl," Botan said to Kinoko in a sadistic tone as she walks over to Kinoko.
"Kinoko, get behind me," Dylan said to Kinoko and then she stands behind him.
"Oh you can't stand behind this fat fuck forever, because he is going to be six feet under," Botan said to Kinoko as Dylan was nervous as hell because he was about to get an oar to the face.
But before he was about to meet an oar to his body, Botan gets blasted by a geyser of water.
"AHHHH," Botan screamed as she gets sent into the forest of mushrooms.
Meanwhile, Dylan and Kinoko watch on as they couldn't believe it.
"Was that your plan?" Kinoko asked Dylan.
"No actually, I was going to get Aqua to use her saliva to form a water ball and throw it at Botan, but this works too," Dylan said.
"Yay, I did it, I did it, I took out Botan," Aqua said in an excited tone as she stands to a now opened fire hydrant.
"Nice job Aqua," Dylan said to Aqua as this made Aqua happy.
"Okay Kinoko, since you are an expert with mushrooms, I want you to sneak into that mushroom forest and take down Botan with a sneak attack," Dylan said to Kinoko.
"Got it Dylan," Kinoko said to Dylan as she starts to walk towards the mushrooms.
Meanwhile in the mushroom pile, Botan manages to get back on her feet as she had a good grip on her oar. She was a little bit scuffed up and wiping away the blood from her bottom lip.
"Nobody takes me down like that," Botan said angrily.
Botan then pulls out her Psychic Spyglass from one of her kimono sleeves. She looks in the lens and she could see through the mushroom and got a clear view of Kinoko.
"Got you mushroom bitch," Botan said as she puts the spyglass away.
Botan then runs through the field of mushrooms, ready to take out Kinoko.
Before Kinoko could enter the field of mushrooms, she turns around to look at Dylan.
"You want me to come in there with you?" Dylan asked Kinoko.
"Relax Dylan, I will be fine," Kinoko said to Dylan.
Then, Dylan notices Botan coming out of the mushrooms and swings the oar back.
"Kinoko, look out," Dylan warned to Kinoko but it was too late.
Botan then swings the oar and strikes Kinoko hard in the back. The force sends Kinoko forwards and she slams face first into a brick wall.
"Oh shit," Dylan said in shock as Kinoko slides down onto the ground.
Kinoko then turns around and leans up against the brick wall, with blood trickling down the middle and left side of her face.
"Don't you dare fucking move," Botan said angrily to Kinoko as she rushes over to her.
Once Botan approaches Kinoko, she swings her oar and repeatedly strikes Kinoko in the face with it.
After Botan hits Kinoko in the face with the oar seven times, Dylan couldn't watch Kinoko get hurt and needed this to stop.
"BOTAN, STOP," Dylan yelled at Botan as Botan stops for a moment.
Botan turns around to Dylan as Kinoko's face was all bruised up and covered in blood.
"You want a piece of me," Botan said to Dylan in a threatening tone as she walks over to him.
"No, I want you to stop and let me get that card out of you," Dylan said to Botan as he didn't want to hit her.
"Oh shut up, let me see how you look without those teeth," Botan said to Dylan as she had this sadistic smile on her face.
Dylan knew if he tried to run that Botan will find him no matter what. But before Botan could strike Dylan, she sees a water sphere the size of a basketball coming towards her. She dodges the sphere and it strikes in an abandoned building, leaving a decent size hole in it.
"What the hell?" Botan asked in shock as she and Dylan couldn't believe it.
They look over to see Aqua as they know she was the one who try to take down Botan using water from her tears.
"Oh damn it, I hate being useless," Aqua said angrily as she couldn't believe her water sphere missed Botan.
"You made the biggest mistake of your life," Botan said to Aqua as she turns to face her.
Botan then points her left index finger towards Aqua and then Dylan could hear something. Once he realize what was about to happen, Dylan needed to warn Aqua.
"Aqua, get down," Dylan warned Aqua.
Then, Botan fires off these four beams of energy as it hits Aqua's knees, left arm, and forehead. Aqua then falls onto the ground as Dylan couldn't believe it.
"Oh my god, Aqua," Dylan said in horror to Aqua as he sees Aqua down on the road.
"Okay, time to finish that fat ass," Botan said and she turns to face Dylan.
Once she turns around, she sees that Dylan has disappeared and she was mad beyond belief.
"Oh fuck," Botan said angrily as she needed to find Dylan and drop him dead.
Botan then gets on her oar and flys up into the air, searching for Dylan from higher ground.
"Come on you fat fucking loser," Botan said to Dylan as she was desperate in trying to find Dylan.
As for Dylan, well he was hiding behind a Toyota Corolla in the parking lot where his truck was parked, trying to focus on how to take out Botan.
"Okay Dylan, you have a shinigami coming to get you, how do you take her out?" Dylan asked himself as he never dealt with this before.
Botan then takes out her Psychic Spyglass and looks through it to see Dylan hiding behind the car.
"Perfect," Botan said as she puts her spyglass away.
Botan then points her right index finger towards the car and then fires off a beam of energy to the driver side mirror, breaking it and freaking out Dylan.
"Holy shit," Dylan said in shock.
Dylan then starts to crawl along the cars as Botan continues to fire off beams of energy at him, missing him and hitting the cars and other vehicles with it.
After thirteen shots, Botan can clearly see Dylan get out from behind the cars, thinking he got away from her.
Botan then fires off another beam of energy and it hits Dylan in his left leg.
"Gah, my leg," Dylan said in pain as it felt like he got hit with a baseball.
"Oh it's like someone used a golf club to hit my leg," Dylan said as he leans up against the hood of a Subaru Impreza.
Dylan then looks up to see Botan standing on her oar as she was pulling something out of her sleeve. She then pulls out what looks like a gold ring.
"Time for the big gun, this Concentration Ring will do the trick," Botan said and then she slides the ring onto her right ring finger.
"Okay bitch, time to have a medicine ball shaped hole in your stomach," Botan said to Dylan angrily as she charges up for a powerful beam of energy.
"Take this, Spirit Gun," Botan said to Dylan and then she fires off this large beam of energy towards Dylan.
Dylan tries to move out of the way, but the pain in the leg was too much for him to move. The beam was closer to him as Dylan knew this was going to be the end for him.

Yep this chapter ends in a cliffhanger, I know it sucks but leaves you wanting more. Hopefully this isn't the end for Dylan and the girls, otherwise this fic would end on a real downer.
