It has been four days since Dylan Riley, Nami, Ristarte, Kinoko Komori, Nefertari Vivi, and Beth Vanderwood left for Yellowstone National Park as Nico Robin, Lucoa, Bellemere, Aqua, and Botan were a little bit bored over how long they were gone.
In the Mermaid Heel guild, Bellemere (wearing a black t-shirt, dark blue jeans, and brown flip flops) was sitting in one of the boots in the main room, flipping through one of Dylan's Freshly Inked magazines.
"The art looks great, but why would anyone do that to their body?" Bellemere asked herself.
"You should ask your daughter, she has ink on her arm," Robin (wearing her aviators, a blue t-shirt over a black jacket, blue jeans, and blue sneakers with white laces) said to Bellemere as she sits across from her.
"Touché," Bellemere said as Lucoa (wearing her pink cap, black tank top, blue jean shorts, black stockings, and pink sneakers) approaches Robin and Bellemere.
"Oh I miss Dylan baby," Lucoa said as she sits next to Robin.
"Don't worry former dragon goddess, Dylan and the others will be back today," Robin said to Lucoa as she pats Lucoa on her back.
Then, Aqua (wearing a dark blue long-sleeve shirt with a rain drop on it, black skirt with blue leggings underneath, and blue ankle-length boots) and Botan (wearing a blue polo shirt, blue jean shorts that goes to her mid-thighs, blue knee-high socks, and blue sneakers) approach the booth and sits with Robin, Bellemere, and Lucoa.
"I see you are looking through one of Dylan's tattoo magazines," Aqua said to Bellemere.
"Yeah," Bellemere said.
"I looked through one issue and it is very impressive, you would probably need a lot of cash to get one from one of these artists," Botan said.
"Yeah their work is on a higher level," Bellemere said.
"I'm excited, any minute now Dylan and the others will be here with the new girl in tow," Aqua said in an excited tone.
Then, they hear the door to the guild open up.
"We're home," Dylan said as the others took notice.
"Well, they are home now," Lucoa said.
Chapter 35: Two with Nature
Soon, Dylan (wearing his glasses, black Akira "Deathmatch Danger!" t-shirt, blue jeans, and sneakers), Nami (wearing a black tank top with a piece of candy on it, blue jean shorts that go to her upper thighs, and gladiator sandals), Ristarte (wearing her black hoodie, white jeans, and gold high-heel wedges), Kinoko (wearing a black t-shirt with a pile of mushrooms on it, red jeans that goes down to her knees, and red sneakers), Vivi (with her hair down, wearing a light blue t-shirt with a large white X in the middle of it, white jean shorts that goes to her upper thighs, and white ankle-length boots), Beth (wearing a red t-shirt with white cuffs, dark blue jeans, and red sandals), and the new girl, Meredy (wearing her brown ear muffs, a red sleeveless dress that goes to her mid-thighs, black stockings, and brown boots) enter the guild with bags in hand and close the doors.
Then, Bellemere puts down the magazine as she, Robin, Aqua, Lucoa, and Botan exit the booth.
"Welcome back everyone," Aqua said to Dylan and the others.
"So how did it go?" Robin asked the group.
"Hey girls, show them the marks," Dylan said to the girls he was with.
Nami points to a bandage wrapped around her upper arm, Ristarte points to the bandage on the right side of her forehead, Kinoko lifts her shirt to show the bandage wrapped around her chest and stomach, Vivi lifts up her shirt to show the bandage around her abdomen, and Beth lifts up her shirt to show the bandage around her stomach.
"What about her?" Botan asked the group as she points to Meredy, while Kinoko, Vivi, and Beth lowers their shirts.
"She has bandages around her chest, stomach, and legs, but you can't see because of the wardrobe," Dylan said as the six approach Meredy.
"Who is she?" Lucoa asked Dylan.
"Girls, meet the newest member of the group, Meredy," Dylan said to the six as Meredy waves to them.
"Hello," Meredy said to the six.
"Nice to meet you Meredy, I'm Aqua," Aqua said to Meredy in a happy tone.
"I'm Botan," Botan said to Meredy.
"I'm Lucoa," Lucoa said to Meredy in an excited tone.
"My name is Nico Robin, it's a pleasure to meet you," Robin said to Meredy.
"And I'm Bellemere," Bellemere said to Meredy.
"I heard of you, you're Nami's mom," Meredy said to Bellemere.
"Yeah I told her about you," Nami said to Bellemere.
Then, the other members of Mermaid Heel walk in to see Dylan and the others return home.
"Dylan, glad you or anyone else didn't die," Kagura Mikazuchi said to Dylan.
"Thanks Kagura," Dylan said to Kagura as he was slightly annoyed by that line.
"Is this the new girl?" Millianna asked Dylan.
"Yes," Dylan said.
"I'm Meredy," Meredy said as the girls in Mermaid Heel were in shock over who she was.
"Meredy, as in the member of Crime Sorcière?" Risley Law asked the group.
"What is Crime Sorcière?" Nami asked.
"It's an independent guild, they have destroyed several dark guilds within seven years," Araña Webb said.
"Impressive," Ristarte said.
"Well I'm not trustworthy with her, from what I heard she was a part of Grimoire Heart," Kagura said as she had an intense look in her eyes.
"Oh come on Kagura, you can't hate this face," Kinoko said to Kagura as she squishes Meredy's cheeks together.
"I can trust her, she's different from her Grimoire Heart days and she is harmless to me," Dylan said as Kinoko let go of Meredy's cheeks.
Kagura then walks over to Dylan and gets into his face as Dylan was not comfortable with this.
"If she does anything to this guild, it will be on your head," Kagura said to Dylan in a slightly threatening tone and then she walks away.
"Fuck she's intense," Dylan said quietly as the members of the Mermaid Heel guild left the area.
"It looks like Kagura doesn't like Meredy," Nami said.
"Yeah it felt like I was staring down death itself," Dylan said as the girls in Dylan's group (minus Robin and Bellemere) gather around Meredy.
"You are going to love living here," Aqua said to Meredy.
"Yeah, it's not an ordinary day living with us," Lucoa said.
"Where am I going to sleep?" Meredy asked.
"We'll show you," Ristarte said to Meredy as they lead Meredy upstairs to the rooms they were sleeping in.
Meanwhile, Dylan, Robin, and Bellemere stood there as Robin wanted to talk to Dylan.
"So want to tell us what you did in Yellowstone?" Robin asked Dylan.
"Sure," Dylan said as he, Robin, and Bellemere sit in one of the booths.
Bellemere then sees a bag that Dylan had with him.
"What's in the bag?" Bellemere asked Dylan.
"It's a gift for Meredy," Dylan said as he puts the bag on the table.
Robin and Bellemere look inside the bag as they smiled at Dylan.
"So cute," Robin said.
"Meredy is going to like it," Bellemere said as Dylan puts the bag beside him.
"I hope so," Dylan said.
"Was the battle hard?" Robin asked Dylan.
"A bit, she has this magic known as Maguilty Sense and one of the moves was to link us together and when one girl got hit, we all got hit," Dylan said.
"Ouch," Robin said.
"But thanks to smart moves with some daggers and Nami using her Clima-Tact, Meredy was taken down with one powerful lightning based attacks," Dylan said.
"Awesome," Bellemere said in an excited tone over Nami's fighting skills.
"Let's see the card," Robin said to Dylan.
"Okay," Dylan said.
Dylan then reaches into his right front jean pocket and pulls out the Meredy trading card. He then puts it on the table as Robin and Bellemere look at it.
"A hundred and sixty dollars a day, that's even more than Miss Shinigami's card," Robin said in a slightly shocked tone.
"How much are you making now?" Bellemere asked Dylan.
"Seven hundred sixty-five dollars a day," Dylan said.
"How much is that a week?" Bellemere asked Dylan.
"Over fifty-three hundred dollars," Dylan said as Bellemere couldn't believe it.
"Holy shit, fifty-three hundred dollars," Bellemere said in happiness as she gives Robin an unexpected hug.
"Woah slow down Bellemere, don't get too happy," Robin said to Bellemere as Bellemere breaks off the hug.
"Yeah, with how many people we got it's not too much," Dylan said.
"Got it, but it's still impressive," Bellemere said as Dylan pulls out his iPhone from his front left pocket.
"Want to see photos from the trip?" Dylan asked Robin and Bellemere as he goes to the home page on his phone and into the photo app.
"Sure," Robin said as Dylan look through the albums.
"Let's see, Toronto, Bloomington, Hull, Ireland, Idaho, ahh Yellowstone," Dylan said and then he found the right album.
Dylan sets his phone on the table and goes into the Yellowstone photo album.
"Want me to tell you what happened?" Dylan asked Robin and Bellemere.
"Yes please," Bellemere said.
"We were there for three nights just in case we couldn't find Meredy, but we found her and had an extra day to relax," Dylan said.
"So this happened yesterday," Dylan said.
Yesterday…
Meredy was asleep until she opens her eyes as her irises changed back from red to pink. She looks around to see she was in a tent.
"Where am I?" Meredy asked as she sits up.
Then she sees Nami, Ristarte, Kinoko, Vivi, and Beth (all were dressed in causal clothes and sporting bandages) sitting around her.
"You are in a tent," Nami said to Meredy.
"Who are you girls?" Meredy asked the group.
"I'm Nami," Nami said.
"I'm Ristarte, but call me Rista for short," Ristarte said.
"I'm Kinoko Komori," Kinoko said in a shy tone.
"I'm Nefertari Vivi, royal princess of Alabasta," Vivi said.
"And I'm Beth Vanderwood," Beth said.
"Well it's nice to meet all of you," Meredy said to the girls.
"I'm Meredy," Meredy said.
"Oh we know who you are," Vivi said to Meredy.
"Yeah you pretty much almost took everyone out," Kinoko said to Meredy.
"That would explain why I'm in some slight pain," Meredy said as she could feel some pain in her body.
"Lucky my healing powers took away some of it," Ristarte said.
"Yeah, but not by much, that's why we bandaged you up a little," Nami said to Meredy.
"Gee thanks," Meredy said to the girls.
"So, how did you get here?" Kinoko asked Meredy.
"Well me and Lady Ultear were planning on taking out another dark guild," Meredy said.
"Who's Lady Ultear?" Vivi asked Meredy.
"She's my mom, but not by blood," Meredy said.
"So she's your adoptive mother, that's cool, my mom is not blood related as well," Nami said to Meredy.
"Really?" Meredy asked Nami.
"It's true," Nami said.
"Anyway, during the planning, there was an earthquake and I ended up here, and I don't know where Lady Ultear went to," Meredy said.
"Earthquake huh," Beth said.
"That's how all of us got here," Nami said.
"No way," Meredy said in shock.
"It's completely true," Vivi said.
"That's seems out of the ordinary," Meredy said.
"Well ordinary went out the window so fast it would make your head spin," Nami said to Meredy.
"There is one person not here that is with us," Ristarte said.
"Who is it?" Meredy asked.
"Dylan Riley," Vivi said.
"He's the leader of this harem," Nami said.
"Harem?" Meredy asked.
"It's the best way to describe this group, we all love Dylan equally and we don't want to fight for his affection," Vivi said.
"We don't want to upset him," Kinoko said.
"Where is this Dylan Riley?" Meredy asked.
"He's outside," Nami said.
Outside near the truck, Dylan (wearing his glasses, black GCW t-shirt, blue jeans, and sneakers) was in the special app on his iPhone and sets it for the scan option. He then puts the Meredy trading card on the hood of his Chevy Silverado.
Dylan then starts to scan the card and after five seconds, the scan was complete. He then gets out of the app and then he puts the phone on sleep mode.
"Perfect, now we make over seven hundred dollars a day," Dylan said as he puts his phone and card in his duffel bag.
Then, Meredy steps out of the tent and walks over to Dylan.
"Dylan Riley?" Meredy asked Dylan and then Dylan turns to face her.
"Yes, oh Meredy, you are up," Dylan said to Meredy.
"How are you feeling?" Dylan asked Meredy.
"A bit sore still," Meredy said.
"You slept like a log," Dylan said to Meredy.
"How long was I out?" Meredy asked Dylan.
"A day," Dylan said as Meredy couldn't believe it.
"What, a full day," Meredy said in shock.
"Yeah, that final move took a lot out of you," Dylan said to Meredy.
"Did you take me out as well?" Meredy asked Dylan.
"No way, I'm not a fighter at all and I don't want to beat up a girl," Dylan said.
"So what are you doing?" Meredy asked Dylan.
"Since we won't head back home until tomorrow, I'm going to tour this national park and look at the wildlife, there is a walking path not far from here and I'm going to walk it," Dylan said to Meredy.
"Can I join you?" Meredy asked Dylan.
"Are you sure, you are still sore?" Dylan asked Meredy in concern.
"I'm fine, I can handle it," Meredy said.
"Alright, but this is a long path," Dylan said.
"I'm ready for it," Meredy said.
Dylan and Meredy then walk forward and a minute later, they reached the entrance for the trail.
"Okay Meredy be careful, these animals are wild and some of them could injure you," Dylan said to Meredy.
"Understood," Meredy said.
Then, they walk into the woods as they look at the beautiful landscape.
"So Meredy, what's it like since getting out of Grimoire Heart?" Dylan asked Meredy as he pulls out his iPhone from his pocket and turns it on, heading to the home page.
"It's been amazing, travelling around with Lady Ultear and Jellal, taking down dark guilds everywhere we went, it's so awesome," Meredy said.
After five minutes, they stop when Dylan sees a black-backed woodpecker pecking at a tree.
"Look up there Meredy, a woodpecker," Dylan said to Meredy as he takes a photo of it.
"You must love animals do you?" Meredy asked Dylan.
"Oh I do, I absolutely love animals," Dylan said.
"What kind of animals do you like?" Meredy asked Dylan.
"Reptiles but mainly snakes, oceanic animals, and birds," Dylan said.
"Neat," Meredy said and then the pair continue their walk.
After three minutes of walking, the pair stop as a family of elk were walking past them.
"Meredy, look at this," Dylan said to Meredy.
"Wow that's so cute," Meredy said as she was star eyed over this.
Dylan then takes a photo as the group of elks past the pair. Then, Dylan and Meredy continue on their walk.
Six minutes later, the pair stop as they see a North American porcupine in front of them.
"Wow so cute," Meredy said as she was about to pet the porcupine.
"Don't pet it Meredy, a porcupine's quills are used as defensive tools against predators and humans," Dylan said to Meredy.
"Got it," Meredy said as she moves her right hand away.
Dylan then takes a photo of the porcupine and then the porcupine scurries away from them.
"Remember no petting, you don't want to get rabies or get scratched or broken pretty badly," Dylan said to Meredy in a slightly serious tone.
"Got it," Meredy said and then the pair continue on their walk.
Ten minutes later, they made it out of the woods and were walking along the path with the mountains in their view.
Four minutes later, Dylan and Meredy stop as they see a mountain goat up in one of the mountains.
"Woah a mountain goat," Dylan said as he takes a photo of the animal.
"He looks so fluffy and tough with those horns," Meredy said.
Then, they hear the roar of what sounded like a mountain lion and then they see a mountain lion crawling down the mountain near the goat.
"Meredy, look away," Dylan said to Meredy and then Meredy looks down towards the ground.
Then, the mountain lion jumps down and attacks the goat, biting it. While that was happening, Dylan manages to get a photo of the attack.
"Perfect," Dylan said.
"Let's go," Dylan said to Meredy as they walk away from this feast.
"So Dylan, you ever been to something like this?" Meredy asked Dylan.
"Not to a national park, this is my first time being at something like this," Dylan said as they continue to walk.
"Are you liking it so far?" Meredy asked Dylan.
"Actually yes," Dylan said.
An hour later, Dylan and Meredy made it past the mountains and the path takes them along a field.
Then, Dylan stops and puts his right arm out, stopping Meredy.
"What is it Dylan?" Meredy asked Dylan.
"Meredy, look," Dylan said to Meredy.
Meredy and Dylan look to see a mallard and several ducklings waddling past them as Meredy couldn't believe it.
"Aww, those ducklings are so freaking cute," Meredy said as she enjoyed watching the ducklings.
"Yeah they are so cute," Dylan said as he takes a photo of it.
"Huh, there are more ducklings than I expected," Dylan said as he sees more ducklings waddling along.
After what felt like twenty minutes, the last duckling made it past them.
"Now we can go," Dylan said.
"Hey Dylan, those ducks came from over there," Meredy said to Dylan as she points to a small pond in the distance.
"Can we check it out?" Meredy asked Dylan.
"No way, there's no path that leads to there, we don't want to get stuck in any holes that could be out there," Dylan said to Meredy.
"Oh okay," Meredy said as she was slightly disappointed.
Then, the pair hear the caw of a bird.
"What was that?" Meredy asked Dylan.
Dylan looks up to see a peregrine falcon was coming down at the pond at a high rate of speed.
"Wow a peregrine falcon, the fastest bird in the world," Dylan said as he couldn't believe he was seeing this particular bird in the wild.
"Really?" Meredy asked Dylan.
"Yes," Dylan said.
Dylan then sees the falcon heading to the pond and then he takes a picture of it hitting the water. Then the falcon flies off, carrying a fish in it's talons.
Dylan then looks the photo and all he could see was a complete blur.
"Damn, not even my iPhone could take a good picture," Dylan said as Meredy looks over to Dylan.
"Excuse me Dylan, but what is that?" Meredy asked Dylan in a curious tone.
"This is my iPhone," Dylan said.
"Can I hold it?" Meredy asked Dylan.
"As long as you will be very careful," Dylan said to Meredy.
"Oh I will be," Meredy said.
Dylan then hands Meredy the iPhone as she carefully looks at it.
"I bet you are not used to this technology before?" Dylan asked Meredy.
"Nope," Meredy said.
"So what does this thing do?" Meredy asked Dylan in a curious tone.
"Oh you make phone calls on it, take photos, it's a translator, you can go online, and you can play games on it," Dylan said to Meredy.
"Wow," Meredy said as she couldn't believe how much tech could be put into a small device.
Then, Dylan and Meredy continue on their hike around the famed national park.
Twenty minutes later, Dylan and Meredy stop when they see a black bear walking along a different field.
"Look over there Meredy," Dylan said to Meredy as Meredy sees the bear.
"What is that?" Meredy asked Dylan.
"That's a black bear, they are seen around my home," Dylan said.
"How do I take a photo?" Meredy asked Dylan.
"First, you point the camera towards the bear," Dylan said to Meredy as Meredy lifts the phone as the bear was in the frame.
"Then you press the circle on the bottom of the screen," Dylan said to Meredy and then Meredy press on the circle as she takes the photo.
Dylan then looks over to see the photo that Meredy took.
"Pretty good Meredy, pretty good," Dylan said to Meredy and then they continue to walk along the trail.
A few hours later, Dylan and Meredy were still walking around as Meredy was taking photos of the flora and fauna.
After ten minutes, Dylan and Meredy stop as they see two rabbits near them.
"Oh my god Meredy, look at the cute fuzzy bunnies," Dylan said to Meredy.
"Oh they are so cute," Meredy said in a cute tone.
Then, one of the rabbits gets behind the other rabbit and then he stands over the still rabbit.
Soon, Dylan sees what the rabbit was doing as he decided to cover Meredy's eyes, not wanting her to see this act.
"What's going on?" Meredy asked Dylan as Dylan takes his phone out of her hands.
"Meredy, has Lady Ultear gave you 'the talk'?" Dylan asked Meredy.
"What talk?" Meredy asked Dylan.
"You know, the talk about where babies come from," Dylan said to Meredy.
"That talk and yes Lady Ultear told me about that, and I don't want to see it in action," Meredy said.
Dylan then takes a photo of the rabbits mating and then he and Meredy immediately leave the area.
"Let me tell you something Meredy, by the time someone comes to this area, there will be five rabbits in that group," Dylan said to Meredy.
"Rabbits breed like crazy?" Meredy asked Dylan.
"Oh yes," Dylan said as soon as they were far enough away, Dylan moves his hand off of Meredy's eyes.
Thirty-five minutes later, Dylan and Meredy made it into some more woods as this was the last part of this hike.
Five minutes later, Dylan and Meredy stop to see a gray wolf and three pups fifteen feet away.
"Woah," Meredy said as she couldn't believe it.
"That's a gray wolf, and look at the little pups," Dylan said and then he takes a photo of this wolf family.
"Oh my god," Meredy said as she absolutely loved the sight of this, which Dylan took notice.
"You must love gray wolves," Dylan said to Meredy.
"This is my first time seeing these wolves, but they look so beautiful," Meredy said.
"They look majestic, but be careful, they can be vicious," Dylan said to Meredy.
"Understood," Meredy said as Dylan took a few more photos of the wolves.
Twenty minutes later, Dylan and Meredy made their way out of the woods and past the exit. Dylan then puts his phone on sleep mode and puts it in his pocket.
Soon, Dylan and Meredy lean up against a wooden fence as they needed a little bit of a rest.
"That was a great hike," Dylan said.
"Dylan," Meredy said to Dylan.
"What is it Meredy?" Dylan asked Meredy and then Meredy gives him a gentle hug.
Then, Meredy looks up at Dylan with a big smile on her face.
"I enjoyed the hike, even if was hard on my feet," Meredy said.
"I'm glad you like it," Dylan said to Meredy as Meredy could feel something heating up inside her.
"Dylan, would you please give me a kiss?" Meredy asked Dylan.
"Really?" Dylan asked Meredy.
"Yes," Meredy said.
"Okay," Dylan said as he gently cups Meredy's cheeks with his hands.
Dylan then leans forward as he press his lips onto Meredy's lips as they were sharing a kiss. They soon close their eyes as this was just pure lip action.
Fifty seconds later, Dylan breaks off the kiss as Meredy's cheeks were turning red.
"Can you please put more tongue into it?" Meredy asked Dylan.
"Okay," Dylan said.
Dylan and Meredy make out again as their tongues were swirling around together.
Seventy seconds later, Dylan breaks off the kiss as Meredy was enjoying it.
"So Meredy, want to go further?" Dylan asked Meredy.
"No thanks, I'm not comfortable with sex yet," Meredy said nervously as Dylan moves his hands off her cheeks.
"That's fine, we can just take it slow," Dylan said to Meredy.
Meredy then breaks off the hug as she looks up to Dylan.
"I feel hungry, can we get something to eat?" Meredy asked Dylan.
"Sure, I'm starting to get hungry anyway," Dylan said as he and Meredy walk to a restaurant that was located somewhere in the park.
Present day…
"Well that would explain the photos of the rabbits doing it and the mountain lion eating the mountain goat," Bellemere said.
"And that blurry photo of that peregrine falcon," Robin said as Dylan puts the card and phone back in his pockets.
"I thought Meredy, from the way I heard, was some kind of robot in battle," Bellemere said.
"No she's more childlike, she loves to see everything around here and I now found out she loves animals," Dylan said.
"So she's probably the most powerful girl you and the others faced," Robin said to Dylan.
"Yeah, that Maguilty Sense was a lost magic for a reason," Dylan said.
"That was pretty smart of you to find some daggers before they disappear to use against Meredy," Bellemere said to Dylan.
"Well I can't take the credit, Nami, Rista, Kinoko, Vivi, and Beth were the ones to use those daggers against Meredy," Dylan said.
"Well we got the most powerful girl in our little group, things should get easier from here," Bellemere said.
"Or tougher," Robin said.
"I kind of agree with Robin, these later girls we face will be more powerful than Meredy," Dylan said as Robin and Bellemere were a tiny bit nervous.
"Hey don't worry, it is going to be fine," Dylan said to Robin and Bellemere, hoping to make them feel better.
"Well I better get to my room and unpacked, the travelling really got to me," Dylan said and then he exits the booth and heads to his room with bags in hand.
"So do you trust Meredy?" Bellemere asked Robin.
"I trust her, I don't know the way she acts reminds me of Chopper a bit," Robin said.
Soon in his bedroom, Dylan puts the new Meredy card in it's slot in the display case.
"Looks like this little display is starting to get more full, like finding pieces to an important puzzle," Dylan said as he looks at the display case.
"I'm sure everyone will love Meredy, she might be a former Grimoire Heart member, but she's not a cold hearted monster, she's a real sweetie," Dylan said and then he walks over to the bed and lays down on it.
"Hopefully in a few days, we will be as one, like a big happy family," Dylan said as he looks at the ceiling, thinking about Meredy joining the group.
Aww that was a nice chapter, Dylan and Meredy hanging out together and we got Meredy officially in the harem, things are looking good for Dylan and his girls. Anyway, here are the stats after this chapter.
