"I'm Arizona" She said sticking her hand out for Callie to shake
Callie shaked it "Callie...So I'm just going to be honest and come out and say it I don't normally do this type of thing" She says giving a nervous smile with her leg bouncing up and down under the table
"Which part? Meeting a stranger or hooking up?"
"Both actually. I tend to wear my heart on my sleeve so just hooking up hardly ever works for me."
Arizona busted out with a laugh "ha monogamy is like for the weak, the ones stuck in the 1900's who do it because society says it's the right normal thing to do" Arizona noticed the way Callie's face changed "or it's for the really dedicated people"
"Or it's for two people who really care and love each other and don't want to spend the rest of their lives with anyone else but that other person"
"Yea until one of them cheats or ups and leaves the other one then whats that person supposed to do? They're left all alone trying to pick up the pieces, all because they dedicated themselves to one person"
"Omg! You don't always need a back up plan or a way out. People dedicate themselves to one career everyday! They don't have a backup plan just because they might get fired one day. Its close to the same thing, you decide, you pick this person and you choose to work it out and stick it out just like you do with your career everyday"
"I can see your point of view when you phrase it like that but i'm happy with my life now, I'm not going to change what isn't broken."
"Okay um lets change the subject to something lighter since we're supposed to be getting to know each other. Is it even safe for you to be hooking up with someone with your arm in a sling?"
"Oh trust me, I have many skills and there are other ways to hook up without using this arm" Arizona answered back winking at her
Callie let out a laugh "okayyyy well how'd you end up in a sling anyway?"
"To make a long story short, it happened at work. I'm a firefighter"
"Ohhh I remember you now, I was actually the one who operated on you. You had an open fracture because you fell through the floor"
"Oh gee so you're the one to thank for this" Arizona said lifting her arm slightly gesturing to it.
"Actually that's all you to thank for that since you don't listen" Callie said pointing to Arizona's arm
"I've been known to have a hard head. Wait... how do you know I didn't listen that?!"
"Carina's my best friend and she's married to your boss"
"So you guys also work together right?"
"Yuppp and live next to each other"
"Well that should be interesting" Arizona said laughing
"It has its moments" callie said laughing along
"So now that you know i'm not a murderer can we get out of here?"
"and how do i know that?"
"Well your best friends wife hired me so i'm assuming you trust her and she trusts me"
"You have a point there"
"Good now lets get out of here because i've been staring at your lips this whole time. I can't wait to kiss you and see what they taste like"
"Well who said you had to wait" Callie said her eyebrow shooting up in a arch
"Yuppp lets gooo" Arizona said throwing some cash on the table and grabbing Callie's hand and practically dragging her out the building. Callie couldn't help but shake her head and follow along with a smirk on her face.
As soon as they hit the corner, Arizona turned them down the alley way. Finally out the public eye mostly Arizona let go of Callie's hand and pushed her against the brick wall. Blue eyes met wide brown eyes and Arizona wasted no time leaning in and connecting her lips to the plush ones she's been staring at all night. As soon as their lips touched they felt the spark. It was an all consuming feeling, the kind you swear you can conquer the whole world with, the kind you see in the movies between actors. It was like time stopped when they kissed and neither one wanted it to end, only pulling back when air became necessary to breathe.
"My place?" Arizona asked breathing heavy. Callie nodded her head yes.
It was a quick walk to Arizona's apartment. When they reached Arizona's apartment door, Callie stood behind her and grabbed her hips as she pulled her keys out. Waiting on Arizona to unlock the door Callie started leaving a trail of kisses on her neck.
"mmm Callie you're distracting me"
"Looks like you better try harder" Callie said whispering in her ear
"Got it!" Arizona said excitedly as she flung the door open. She turned around and dragged Callie inside. She slammed the door closed and pushed Callie back against it giving her a kiss that quickly became heated. Arizona had her free hand on Callie's neck trying to pull her as close as possible. Callie's hand were roaming Arizona's body when she went to Arizona's waist she could feel something poking out.
"mmm did you really come prepared and wear a strap?" Callie panted out into between kisses. Arizona quickly stepped back
"umm no i'm sorry I should have told you before. I have a penis" Arizona said nervously
"I'm sorry what?"
"I'm intersex"
"But how? Well I know how I'm a doctor. I should know these things happen. Actually I think I'm going to need a minute, more than just a minute actually" Callie quickly rambled out
"Thats fine you can take as much time as you need"
"Thanks um i'm just gonna...i'm just going to go" Callie said quickly exiting the apartment, leaving a surprised Arizona behind.
