First battle

"The Blood of the Samurai, the Shadow Clan, Shiniboi's Steel: these are all the resistance cells Cornelia completely wiped out in just a few days." Lelouch pondered looking at the information he had gotten as he had to admit; he wasn't a strategist, but a warrior.

As of right now, he had obtained crucial information from the crows that Saitama Ghetto would become just like Shinjuku.

"Contact Ohgi and inform him and his group about the possibility of Saitama being attacked, so he, in turn, contacted the Yamato Alliance. However, this group appeared to be a bit more stubborn than expected due to Ohgi's more passive nature, so he had to play the right words like spitting on Cornelia's image if they couldn't find anyone.

The Group immediately began to evacuate all the citizens. Thankfully, the information arrived three days before the attack so they had enough time to avoid suspicion.

Now all they had to do was wait for Cornelia li Britannia, the infamous Goddess of Victory would attack.

XXX

Tokyo Settlement royal palace

Cornelia was discussing her plans with her royal guards as Guilford and Darlton would be planning their attack today. At the same time at the Camelot Division, Suzaku was doing his homework with Cecile assisting, as Suzaku explained how his life at Ashford and student council was.

XXX

While at Ashford Academy Student Council Room, Kallen and Shirley were putting together a cat tree for the stray that the Student Council took in a few days ago; they even named the cat Arthur. Shirley was setting up the tree while Kallen was getting some supplies out of a box.

It was just a normal day

"Say, can I ask you something important?" Shirley asked her.

"Sure, what is it?" Kallen responded.

"Kallen, are you hiding something from us?" Shirley questioned, surprising Kallen. "If it's something too personal…"

"No… what are you talking about?" Kallen questioned, trying to keep up her sickly facade.

"You can tell me, I promise I won't be upset or anything," Shirley said. "Are… are you going out with Lulu?"

Kallen's face was utterly appalled as she shot to her feet in surprise. "What?! What would make you think that!?"

"Well, I've seen you two together during that time-"

"Because he asked me something! That's all!"

At the same time: "But an arranged marriage is so…" Milly had talked over the phone with her grandfather, the principal, sitting at the desk. "I understand how much you want to re-establish the Ashford family, but mother… it's just that…"

The context was enough to decipher what Milly was talking about and who to, though not many would know it would interfere with her Demon Slayer duties, something she learned from Lelouch. She wanted to be her own person.

All of it came in the form of a book Lelouch wrote, titled Kimetsu no Yaiba. It was a book detailing Tanjiro's journey as a demon-hunting swordsman, which became a hit amongst the Japanese. Even Britannia read it. Under a pen name, no one knew Lelouch wrote it. Half of the profits went to Ashford and Milly helped production.

Cornelia's G1 Base rolled in front of the entire ghetto, her forces securing the perimeter.

"The Saitama ghetto is surrounded," Darlton informed his princess as they, Guilford, and other officers and soldiers, stood in her mobile base. All of Cornelia's forces, including multiple Sutherlands, tanks, foot soldiers, and aircraft, had encircled the perimeter of the ghetto. "The Yamato Alliance's hideout is located somewhere in here, and half the people in this neighborhood are cooperating with them. So if we proceed now…"

"What'll be the effect on production?" Cornelia asked.

"Primary sector output should decrease by zero-point-two percent."

"Within expectations you mean. Alright." She turned her gaze to a trio of officers as they bowed. "All of you here participated in the Shinjuku disaster; is that correct?"

"Yes, and we're indebted to you, Princess Cornelia, for your mercy." One officer said.

"That's not what I'm asking!" Cornelia raised her voice. "Do you think the conditions are similar To those in Shinjuku?"

"Military authorities report that they have surrounded the Saitama ghetto, a known hiding place for terrorists." An emergency news report broadcasted throughout the Tokyo Settlement. "Viceroy Cornelia is also on the scene, and entry to that area is restricted."

This reached every television and radio as everyone was watching and hearing about the situation in area 11.

The newswoman continued her outlet as Diethard and his crew broadcasted her.

"It appears that full-scale assault will be launched in two hours…"

"News is one thing," a script man said uncertainly. "But why are we announcing the start time?"

"They are trying to provoke Zero," Diethard said with a knowing look.

Inside Lelouch'room, C.C. laid on his bed as she saw him walk into the room with the phone to his ear.

"Of course, all these years and Cornelia is still achingly predictable," Lelouch said over the phone, as his record of besting her through chess back in the day would reassure him. "So, is everything all set?"

"Yes, the Saitama ghetto has been completely evacuated of Ohgi's group, but the Yamato Alliance are on standby with what Knightmares we've recovered, all of which are Sutherlands from Shinjuku. They still want to fight even though we already warn them." Rai explained

"They really believe they can win, even if under my command."

"Lelouch there's an old saying. No plan survives first contact with the enemy."

"I know. Make sure you and Sayoko are prepared for battle," he warned his fellow slayer.

"Understood." Rai left preparing, leaving only C.C. and Lelouch in the room.

"Don't you think it's rather odd that Cornelia is announcing her attack on Saitama over the news?"

"It's all to provoke us."

The news continued to report. "It appears that a full-scale assault will be launched in two hours. Consequently, Zero is a criminal with a flare for theatrics."

"I've recreated the same conditions that existed in Shinjuku in order to draw him all out. If they really are the over-confident type, I predict that they'll come here to try and kill me." Cornelia began to explain to her soldiers and officers.

Lelouch was packing a suitcase with the soldier uniform he stole from Shinjuku as he prepared to leave along with his demon slayer uniform tucked in.

"You're not falling for the enemy's provocation, are you?" C.C. asked him.

"Everybody's waiting for me, there's something I'd like to ask Cornelia personally."

"Destroying Britannia, or discovering who murdered your mother. Which is more important to you?"

"All are of equal importance. But something that trivial is no longer my concern I pass that thought a long time ago I only seek a future that Britannia no longer holds their ideology to the world."

"But the very thing you hate is the same thing that makes Britannia strong; it seems they too embody that same philosophy. The one most fit to rule is the one left standing-"

"I know!" Lelouch said, his voice lowered to a growl. "The weak ones don't survive while the strong thrive. Britannia is that kind of nation, you don't need to explain."

"Survival of the fittest is the most basic rule of all." She sounded so nonchalant comparing human law to animal law, and he didn't like it.

"If that's true then what happens to Nunnally?!" Lelouch exclaimed as he slammed his suitcase closed. "Should I simply give up on my sister just because she's frail?!"

Rather than get upset he took a deep breath to calm down. Rage was unbecoming of him as sarcasm was to others. "But, that was all in the past. I've already moved on. This is beyond me now; it's for everyone enslaved to this system, starting with Japan… not counting getting my mother's killer."

"And how exactly are you going to do it with just a sword and a mask?"

"By destroying that invincible woman, Cornelia," was his answer.

Lelouch was about to leave but looked in surprise to see C.C. blocking his way with a pistol pointed at him. "You can't go, Lelouch," she insisted sternly. "You have yet to fulfill your part of our bargain, and I won't have you dying before that!"

"C.C., you already know I'm strong enough to beat them and I have others with me. I did this to protect the innocence, not because she baited me." He was quick and respectful, not just because she had a gun on him. Of course, he didn't even know what was the bargain; all she did was eat pizza.

"Why go out of your way for someone else?" C.C. questioned.

Lelouch just looked afar. "I was inspired by someone; he lost everything and everyone, save for his little sister, a sister who caught a disease that made her a monster. But he never gave into despair. He refused to be consumed by rage. He never even blamed the world or cursed the heavens. He just kept moving forward, seeking to save his sister and that's it."

C.C. kept her stoic persona but was still taken off guard by his words. Who could have touched this ex-royal child so much?

"I once felt like I was dead; an impotent corpse existing behind a false guise of life, a life in which I did nothing really. Day-to-day, I merely went through the motions of living, as though I was a zombie, and I always had the feeling I was gradually dying." It was his shame. "But I learned that I took everything for granted. There was still more to life to enjoy, and my revenge was only going to destroy me. If I didn't make peace with myself, I never would have pulled this off."

C.C. lowered her pistol. His conviction was enough apparently. "You better not die then."

"No idiot plans to die," he said as he walked out of the room. " You can come if you want."

"We're done sweeping up those in charge," Darlton informed.

"It's nearly time to set our plan into motion. Shall we begin?" Cornelia said.

Darlton accessed the comms. "Right! Attention, all forces! Commence eradication of the Saitama ghetto! All forces, assume level one battle stations!"

While the main forces went into the ghetto, the Britannians that hung back behind the G1 Base were the now-demoted Purebloods.

"I don't understand; why won't Princess Cornelia order us to attack as well? " Jeremiah exclaimed.

"Because she isn't stupid enough to let Orange out of her sight," Kewell growled venomously next to Jeremiah. "You were more fortunate to not have been disposed of. You're to blame for us Purebloods having become a laughingstock."

"Fah! As if you could have beaten Zero!"

"Why you-"

"Quiet!" The officers silenced the annoying Purebloods.

Several Britannian foot soldiers and a few tanks continued to march through the empty Saitama ghetto, on the lookout for any signs of terrorists; twenty minutes have gone by before they noticed it was a ghost town. All they found were stray animals. Instead of people and activity as the reports suggested, all they got were cardboard cutouts of humans with written insults to the Emperor.

"Where are they?!"

"There's no one here?" Cornelia soldiers were already sweeping one part of the area and what they got was nothing.

Until they spotted a person wearing old fashion clothes and a white Japanese snake mask, walking straight towards the Britannia soldiers.

"So there was at least one here."

"What a fool."

"What are you waiting for?! Fire!" Each soldier took out their weapons and shot at the lone man.

And they would have gotten him, had he not deflected each bullet with his sword. The soldiers could only stare in shock at the unexplainable. Before they could do anymore, the figure rushed in.

"Third Form: Flowing Dance!"

The slayer swung and bent his sword in a winding motion along with his body, dancing in a flowing pattern that sliced everything in its path. The soldiers screamed in pain from their slash wounds and fell to blood loss, the ones out of range realizing how doomed they were.

This person was turning them into mince meat with a primitive weapon.

"What are you waiting for?! Kill him!"

He dodged the bullets that came at him and deflected what got close, metal flying in every direction and even back to the sender.

Fourth Form: Striking Tide Turbulent

His attack, an improvement of the original, allowed the slayer to increase the number of consecutive slashes and improve the accuracy for multiple targets.

The entire area was silent as the soldiers died from the slayer's sword strikes, the perpetrator removing the mask to reveal Sayoko, the Ninja maid who was tasked with taking down enemy soldiers in this area. It was the first time using the full capabilities of water breathing and ninja skills.

In another part of the sector, more of Cornelia's army was failing against another masked assailant. This one with a fox mask barraged through the Sutherland without fear or common sense.

But who needed those when you're a metal juggernaut?

"Shoot him down! It's just one eleven."

"I can't! He moves too fast!"

"Second Form: Ice Wheel!"

This time, the slayer leaped and vertically spun forward midair turning into a buzzsaw. The attack struck the Sutherland as the right one was sliced apart, even freezing over. As frost covered the entire frame, the pilot went to eject. But this was in vain as the seat was frozen in place and even spread to him like a nasty virus. His screams were the last thing heard.

With the entire Knightmare frozen solid, the slayer gave a slight push. It fell over and shattered to pieces, as did the others he slashed into.

"It's an ice demon!"

"We can't stop it!"

The swordsman mercilessly moved faster slashing the legs of a Sutherland, his ice effect spreading like fire. Some were a lot quicker to eject at least, leaving only a Sutherland husk. He removed his mask once they'd fled, revealing Rai.

"How were Britannia's best simple cowards?"

Lelouch was already inside of the stolen Sutherland, giving orders to the Yamato alliance. He knew they all wished to fight, but couldn't send them walking to their own graves.

"Now then, shall I drag Cornelia out or should I make an opening?" He pulled up the comms to the Yamato Alliance. "R-1, R-2, maintain your distance. Draw them back to the area where N-2 is. B-7, open fire towards two o'clock. P-5's team will commence its barrage."

The situation worked as the Cornelia forces were thrown in disarray.

"Gester team, contact lost!"

"Enemy spotted in district G-4-7!"

"Kaczinski team engaging. They were ambushed!"

"The enemy is using Sutherlands captured from our own forces."

"It's exactly the same as Shinjuku." One of Clovis's officers said with a disturbed frown.

"If that is true… Then that would mean…"

"Zero…" Guilford said.

"He actually came then. It has to be." Darlton said.

As this was happening, Cornelia continued sitting on her throne, looking stoic at the reactions everyone was giving about the situation. Zero had arrived to turn the tide. Now she was certain.

Lelouch continued ordering through the comms. "N-2, continue towards the upper-right. R-4, fire. N-1, take the man on the left. P-3, take out the bridge and close down the route now!"

"All forces! Fall back behind the ghetto perimeter at once! Formation doesn't matter! Fall back behind ghetto perimeter at once!" Lelouch grinned as he heard Darlton on his frequency.

"What, no stomach for it?" Lelouch looked at the GPS. "If I blend in with the retreating units, that'll put me next to Cornelia. Have I cleared the task at hand already?" His face turned serious. As something in his gut was telling him, this was too easy. So he decided to stay back; life wasn't chess.

BEEP! This came from his phone.

"Hm?" Lelouch heard his phone ring and looked to see who it was. "The student council room? But I thought the cat festival meeting was scheduled for tomorrow."

Unknown to him, both situations were already complicated as Suzaku was trying to use Shirley's phone to call Lelouch about the girl's crush on his friend.

Meanwhile, Cornelia was finished playing games.

XXX

"They will do their duty, even if it costs them their lives," Cornelia said with rage.

"At your command, Your Highness," Guilford confirmed dutifully, as he drove in his Gloucester, along with two others. With the Sutherland in their sights, they aimed their lances at him as they drove towards him at full speed.

"Hey! What are you guys doing?!" The rebel in the decoy Sutherland exclaimed in shock. "Can't you read the IFF signal?! I'm on your side!" His lies were no good as the Gloucester trio kept heading his way without question. He grunted in frustration. "Dammit!"

He decided the hell with Zero's plan and shot his Knightmare rifle at the Guilford and the two others. But unfortunately, his Sutherland couldn't keep up with the agility of the Gloucester as they jumped high in the air to avoid the fire. Guilford's Gloucester landed behind the rebel, and without hesitation drove his lance through the Sutherland's chest and into the cockpit. The two other Gloucesters did the same as they all jabbed their lances into the cockpit where the pilot was. That was the end of that fellow rebel.

"No confirmation?" Lelouch looked baffled at the lost contact of his decoy. "Well, then, N-2, send the signal, then fall back to the hospital ruins. R-1, R-2, hold your positions. Fire only if attacked."

G1 Base…

"They've transmitted another signal, which means one thing. They've set an ambush! Send in more Gloucesters and surround them!" Cornelia command.

"They're not following?" Lelouch frowned, and then realized. "No, dammit! R-1, R-2, abort the ambush and fall back at once! Abort!"

"Gloucesters have arrived at the indicated area. No sign of the enemy."

"He anticipated my move," Cornelia realized before she began smirking. "It seems we really are dealing with Zero himself, and now he is realizing his blunder."

"P-2! N-3! Circle around behind the enemy!" Lelouch frantically ordered through the com, yet there came no answer. "What's wrong?! Come in! P2! N3! Dammit! B-1! B-5! Move in!"

"Like hell!" The Yamato alliance exclaimed in the stolen Sutherland he was piloting. "There's no way we can beat Cornelia's royal guard! That's a death sentence! I'm out!" He went to pull the ejection lever, and his pod ejected from the Sutherland.

"Hey! Hey! We surrender!" The other members of the Yamato Alliance dropped their guns and exited out of their stolen Sutherlands, raising their hands up towards the royal guard. "We won't resist! Spare us!"

That was a bad decision; Cornelia never showed mercy.

Lelouch's gut feeling was right; it was too easy. The Yamato alliance was already tangled in Cornelia's web. He ordered the retreat, but they ignored his order, something he didn't anticipate as he expected them to follow his command.

The old Lelouch would grumble over this.

It was now time for him to ditch the Sutherland and fight on his own, so he sent his own decoys with the locations of Rai and Sayako to ambush them.

"Princess Cornelia, there are two IFF signals trying to escape."

Cornelia just scoffed hearing that. "A worthless effort. Darlton, take your platoon and make sure they can't escape."

"It shall be done, my lady!" Darlton took his men, not even bothering to call his sons.

With his ten pilots, he chased the IFF signal using his personal Gloucester while the other one would be handled by his subordinate. Upon reaching the signal, they spotted people sitting on top of their knightmares.

"What's going on?"

"Princess Cornelia, we found one of Zero's Subordinates! It was the one who took the Sutherland and looks like is surrendering."

"Good. Destroy them," were her commands.

The Gloucester aimed its weapon at Rai, but rather than panic, Rai sheathed his blade before fearlessly dashing toward the knightmare. The pilot fired the weapon but Rai dodged it easily as he went in for the kill.

"Third Form: Rolling Tundra!"

The swordsman flowed back and forth towards his opponent in a disorienting manner similar to snow rolling through the tundra, before executing multiple cuts. His blade cleaved through the knightmare, making it freeze instantly and causing it to shatter in places.

Darlton saw this, but couldn't believe it; this knightmare brought Japan to its knees, and some random human destroyed it.

"Darlton what's wrong?! Did you get the eleven?!"

"Princess Cornelia, we didn't! It's just that-" Darlton was trying to find the word.

"What?! Spit it out!"

"The masked assailant, one of Zero's subordinates, froze and destroyed a knightmare with his blade!"

"What?!"

Darlton felt a headache coming, but he had a job to do. "Everyone, take aim! Avoid his blade! We have a high quantity!"

Rai saw the bullets coming and easily dodged them as needed. Taking a breath he got ready to finish this up.

"Eight Form: Frozen Waters!"

His blade turning blue and dropping all heat around him as low as possible, he moved forward. He danced across the battlefield creating small slashes upon the knightmares' frames before reaching Darlton.

The enemy's instincts were to scream and pull out the lancer to parry, creating sparks upon clashing with his sword. Rai leaped back, before screaming littered the battlefield. The knightmares he lacerated froze instantly into blocks of ice. A breeze passed by from the drop in temperature.

Fearing the worse, Darlton anticipated his options. His lancer was starting to frost over. 'Impossible! What kind of human can fight knightmares without one and freeze them without equipment?!' Knowing he would meet his subordinates' fate, Darlton quickly pulled the ejector seat and fled from battle.

On another battlefield, Sayoko, like Rai, was dominating the tanks as she easily slashed them apart. One she made a hole before dropping a grenade inside, leaving it for destruction, another she destroyed the treads, and even when she stabbed a tank to puncture a skull from within.

Soldiers attacking her were decimated by her tsunami strength; couldn't even run or escape. Like Cornelia, Sayoko showed no mercy.

Speaking of whom, Cornelia was enraged by her worsening situation. She should have had Zero; did he get reinforcements? "Darlton, answer! What's going on?! where's Robert's unit?!"

"We lost communication with the others as well!"

"We can't get any signal!"

"What's going on?!" Cornelia was distressed seeing many other men have had their life snuffed. All she got was water and ice and swords. It didn't make any sense.

That's when memories of footage during the parade rose in her mind.

"Get communication now!"

"Princess Cornelia, someone is coming straight towards us!" Guildford called out.

"Hold your ground!" she shouted as she waited on who was coming until she saw the familiar mask.

"Zero." The masked man was here wearing his demon slayer uniform with a purple color hakama and tulip mask.

Cornelia got up in anger, ready to finally avenge Clovis. "Prep my knightmare," as one of the officers moved toward the hanger preparing her highness' frame, a custom Gloucester.

Donning her special gear, she screamed, "Today you die Zero," as she, Guilford, and others dashed straight toward the demon slayer.

"First Form: Thunderclap and Flash!"

Lelouch unsheathed his katana and bolted at blinding speed, performing an immediate decapitation on his opponent. "Tenfold!" His rate increased as he met another Gloucester and beheaded it, dismembering another's legs. They fell like puppets without strings.

No one could see how it was happening, not even the royal guard. The victims crawled from the wreckage, others dead from explosions, and the rest were trapped. Cornelia got out first, pointing her gun blade at Zero with long lividness.

"WHO ARE YOU?! WHAT ARE YOU!?" she screamed, unable to believe what she saw. No human could move that fast or cause that much damage with an outdated weapon.

"A swordsman who detests your methods," he declared, but she wasn't going to let him finish.

She fired at him, and each bullet deflected back at her weapon destroying it. The princess was stunned, falling on her butt in fear.

"What was this all about? Spite? For what happened to the Lamperouge siblings?"

Her eyes widened. "How do you know about Lady Mariene's children?!"

"I knew them; a boy and a girl trying to survive in the aftermath of a war your country caused."

"Are they alright?! Tell me!" Cornelia wanted to know.

"They are," he replied, his face still on her, "but that's all you're getting. They want to remain hidden from the world. That doesn't answer my question; why did you conduct this act?!"

"It's the elevens! They wanted to kill her children, even before the invasion I heard they would want to string their corpses up!" It was a rumor she heard.

"You are hopelessly delusional then. Of course, something like that would happen; Britannia invaded Japan, and they were our target of resentment. Children had to grow up and survive in a war-torn area that hated and wanted them dead, and here you are trying to blame others to escape responsibility. So you don't have to answer for being unable to save them."

The princess was baffled. "How does someone like you know all of this?"

"They told me everything, like how you and the others did nothing for them. It makes me sick." He shook his head in disapproval.

The word filth penetrated her heart. Deep down, Cornelia knew the truth. Clovis was just an excuse; she just wanted to kill the people in Area 11 to avenge Mariene's children. But: "I didn't abandon them! I could have saved them-"

"You had the chance to stop Lelouch from making that statement, but you did nothing! You were scared of what that would do to you. And then to live with your decision, you decided to blame the Japanese for what you let happen." Like a manga panel, she's stabbed by his words.

"Tell me; do you have honor?"

"OF course, I do!"

"Where is the honor in murdering non-combatants? Children? Would Princess Euphemia and Lady Mariene be happy that you killed in their name?!"

Cornelia was speechless; this wasn't the kind of thinking a soldier would have. She personally blocked that out, only thinking of her own goals. Now, she's horrified. They'd never forgive her.

"Indeed, you are a delusional woman. You were the reason Lelouch and Nunnally were exiled, so don't go blaming others for your BS. You are just a coward afraid of your emperor's wrath wearing his uniform to cover your shame."

Lelouch kept his eyes on her, not knowing why, but a thought came to him. Maybe she could be redeemed. "Maybe one day you can break the illusion you've cast upon yourself and apologize."

He turned away, knowing that maybe he and Cornelia should talk about what happened in Aerie's villa, but that was for another time. At the sound of gunfire, he quickly drew his sword and deflected the bullets back to the gunner. From the sound of splatter, he could tell they were slain.

Darlton was there, seeing his subordinate murdered by his attempt to snipe Zero. Not only could he tell the masked man was looking at him, he knew the man was aware of where he hid. Guilford was trapped inside the metal tin can, unable to save his princess.

"It seems I wasted too much with you Cornelia, so let this be a warning; if you ever try something like this again, I won't show mercy." That was all he had to say, and then he dispersed in a flash.

With Zero gone, her soldiers and officers came to her rescue. She may never recover from this, her pride and spirit after all. She wouldn't forget the itch he left on her heart.

A reporter overhead would make this well known as well.

"So, what did you think?" C.C. asked about the situation.

"We may have won the battle, but it showed one crucial element," Rai said looking at the data he recorded.

"And what's that?" The green-haired woman turned to Rai.

Lelouch spoke first: "We need an army, a well-balanced army, not a bunch of terrorists full of themselves that would desert their comrades."

"Oh, definitely," said Rai while thinking. "I was hoping the Ohgi group would join us, but they've yet to give us an answer."

"We just have to wait. We still have yet to know what they're fighting for, after all, Rai, Sayoko," spoke Lelouch as he glanced at his fellow Demon Slayers.

"Agreed. Let's go home." This was just the beginning; rumors spread about Cornelia's defeat.

This is the first time Demon Slayers fight seriously against an army, as they utilize everything like Rai it was an idea from a fandom an idea of ice breathing so why not something besides it reminds of Hitsugaya Toshiro from Bleach?

Unlike Lelouch canon, he didn't become overconfident about a small victory only thinking about how to save innocent lives. But knowing The Yamato alliance would leave Lelouch dry when things get too hot, except he had skills and a team to help him.

Lelouch DS has the ability to influence others because of how he obtained a few skills from Tanjiro and experience.

There are some skipped parts but that was obvious, boring, and not needed.

Omake

This was a weird situation; Lelouch R was standing before Lelouch DS, the latter having come to the former's world through a Geass gate. Neither could make sense of it, not even C.C..

But after scoping through the other's memories, denial was impossible. More important than that, they had to escape the village, which they did due to Lelouch DS using his demon-slaying abilities to max proficiency.

With them safe, it came time for talking, and DS was the first to speak: "Was it worth it?"

"What was?"

"What you did in the name of the love and peace you wanted so much?"

"Of course it was!" R shouted.

"Don't lie to me, me. The way you shouted was no different than a child being afraid of something."

"You think you know me so well. I'm not afraid of anything."

"Then why not tell the truth; are you so afraid of being like Charles? Of opening up to others?" DS gave him sincere eyes. "Don't you think all this lying is getting old?"

"I am nothing like him!"

"You're already dead to the world. Everyone here already accepted your death, so just tell them."

"I'm..." R tried to counter, but couldn't. He choked; other him was right.

"Lelouch, forget about the past. You are here, and now nothing is here to harm you. So, again, was it worth it?"

The occupants just looked at him curiously.

Lelouch swallowed that giant lump and finally spoke, "No, it wasn't worth it. The lies I created just made more suffering than anyone. I killed too much, what happened to Euphy was an accident. I never meant to make her a killer; I just spoke a cruel joke that my Geass went crazy.

"Then I learned about how Charles didn't care about our struggle and brushed it aside like dust out of a window; I learned that my mother was alive and knew what happen to her, but she didn't care at all. My biggest regret was using Nunnally; deep down I knew I was just using her as an excuse to keep my conscious clean, no different than the soldiers just following orders.

"So tell me why are you different than me?" as Lelouch R pointing at DS.

"I saw Euphy alive and well and other things. They all looked happy. What made you different than me? Why?" R Lelouch couldn't accept a future that didn't have sacrifice.

"Unlike you, I accepted my fault. I accepted that I was weak. And then, I opened up to others. We hide secrets, only the embarrassing ones, but sometimes we even share secrets. We accepted who we are and change for the better." it was DS confession.

"So why can't you be honest Lelouch? It's not too late, to tell the truth."

Those words pierce Lelouch's soul as tears poured out from his eyes for the first time he cried, pouring everything he wanted to say. "I never wanted to hurt anybody or Euphy! I just wanted to see my mother smile even once, but all of that was fake! I wanted everyone to help just once when I needed them!"

Every occupant looking at their miserable leader felt sad and pity; it came to them that he was just a kid. All of their anger was gone, including Suzaku who just learned the truth. Lelouch never told what happened to Euphy as his first confession was a lie.

He should have known Lelouch never meant to hurt Euphy, but his anger and hatred clouded his judgment.

Cornelia out of nowhere embraced Lelouch. "Cornelia!"

"Hush Lelouch. Let me for the first time become someone you can depend on. I should have known you suffered too much. You hated us, hated the royal family as we betray you. What happened to Euphy I cannot forgive, but I'm tired of holding this anger so please let me be a good sister just for today."

"Thank you. Maybe it's time I told the truth and it doesn't matter if someone wont to believe it"

Everyone stared; for that one moment, their so-called leader was being spoiled for once. While Lelouch DS decided to help with the plan saving Nunnally first. Then C.C. approached.

"What can I help you with?"

"I would like to thank you as you helped Lelouch unburden what he had." It was something not even C.C. could do.

"No big deal, it's what I do."

This is an idea what if Lelouch in Demon slayer universe meets Lelouch Resurection universe.
