Coming back from the final commercial break, it cuts to the chill zone.
Don: Copacabana Beach is today's chill zone. Teams must use one of the tandem hang gliders perched on the edge of that cliff to soar down like eagles, or plummet like turkeys because they didn't hold on tight enough.
"Oops," Geoff said.
"Totally rough," Brody said. "Let's hope we still hold on to first place."
The best friends, goths, daters and stepbrothers all find a tip and forge onward.
"Yes!" Stephanie said.
"Next challenge, here we come!" Carrie said.
She then gave Stephanie a high five. Josee finds another coconut and throws it out. Upon hitting Owen, it opens, revealing a tip.
Noah: Yes; come on!
"How many silly mistakes turned good luck charms does this race want?" Macarthur asked.
"Meanwhile, karma's coming back to strike more teams hard," Laurie said.
After knocking each other with coconuts, the ice dancers and Dwayne Duo finally get the tip. There was one for each.
"I love these happy accidents," Dwayne Junior said. "Looks like happy accidents made some good choices that day."
"For you," Macarthur said.
Don: Teams are working frantically to complete the costume challenge.
The vegans and stepbrothers got the tip needed to move on. The ice dancers' costumes caught more teams off guard.
"What the hell is that?" Stephanie asked.
"That's what we wanted to know," Owen responded.
Noah: Didn't they just get here?
*Interview break* Josee: We've designed and created our own costumes since we were four. We can do this kind of stuff in our sleep.
Jacques: Give us beads, sparkles and a theme, and we'll skate our dream.
"Wow," Crimson said. "They really came prepared for that."
"One can see why," Dwayne Junior said.
"And they were able to forge ahead of us," Macarthur said.
"This is not our day," Sanders said.
It then cuts to the goths who finished their design, but it gives the girl a fright.
*Interview break* Crimson: Bright colors are for people who are trying to make up for the fact that they leave sad, monotonous lives.
"It's true," Ennui said. "Some people are just like that."
"Or just weird in general," Macarthur murmured to Sanders.
"I heard that," Ennui said.
A majority of the others just chuckled a little. It then cuts to the vegans who hang glide their way to the chill zone. During an interview break, Miles said she had to take control for Laurie.
Don: As the race for first place heats up, the race to not come in last is just getting started.
"Maybe it wasn't for us," Tom said.
"Yes it was," Jen said. "One plane got delayed because of a flat tire. Remember?"
"No wonder we fell behind," Emma said.
The vegans arrive first, but get a 30 minute penalty.
Miles: Why? We won fair and square.
Don: Each of you were supposed to make a component of the costume, but Miles made both of yours.
This took first place from the vegans to the ice dancers. The ice dancers begin to make fun of the vegans, but forget about it after seeing Laurie's face.
"At least it kept those ice dancers from hurting your feelings?" Dwayne Junior asked.
"Yeah," Laurie answered. "Thanks for that."
"You're welcome," Dwayne Junior said.
The goths arrive, while giving Don a scare, in 2nd place.
"That was fortunate," Ennui said.
"And thanks for giving Don another scare," Sanders said.
"So enjoyable," Crimson said.
3rd place: Kelly and Taylor.
4th place: Geoff and Brody.
5th place: Stepbrothers.
6th place: The Dwayne Duo.
"Oh yeah!" Dwayne Junior said before doing a little dance. "We live to see another day, hey! We live to see another day."
Geoff and Brody couldn't help but dance along, which made everyone laugh again.
Don: As time counts down and pressure mounting, more and more teams are finishing up their challenges.
"Finally," Macarthur said.
"And with the penalty, we can forge ahead," Sanders added.
The twins then get caught in the sisters' glider. Despite the rough landing, and the alliance coming to an end, both the sisters and twins come in tied for 7th place.
"Yes!" Kitty said. "Sorry it cost us our alliance with the twins."
"Wasn't your fault," Emma said. "I knew some people couldn't be trusted."
"You kept saying that ever since the breakup heard around the world," Dwayne Junior said.
"Hold up," Geoff said. "I thought the breakup heard around the world was with Gwen and Trent."
"Lots of breakups were heard around the world!" Emma said in frustration. "Okay?"
Macarthur giggled again.
"Glad to see many know how it feels to get a not so welcomed visit by one's temper," she then said.
9th place: Fashion bloggers.
10th place: Daters.
11th place: Carrie and Devin.
12th place: Owen and Noah.
13th place: Cadets.
"Thanks for breaking our fall," Sanders said.
"No problem," Noah said.
"Yeah," Owen commented. "We've taken worse beatings."
The vegans' penalty ends, but just as they get ready to step on the chill zone, the rockers run through and take 14th place. Don then states that it meant the vegans were eliminated.
Miles: So long all our plans for the money.
As the episode gets ready to close, Don states things could soon get ugly.
Miles: That million dollars would've helped so many causes.
Laurie: I know. I ate meat.
Miles: Your heart was in the right place. Not the one you ate, I mean your heart, the one inside you.
Laurie then tells Miles to just stop. The credits then roll in.
"Let me rephrase who I currently feel bad for," Kitty said. "Sorry you got eliminated."
"Tough break," Sanders said.
"No kidding," Laurie said.
"But a lot of people did come out for us," Miles said.
"And you have your own recycling center," Stephanie added.
Dwayne Senior then returned.
"I'm back with the fruit salads," he said.
"Thanks," Laurie said. "We needed that."
"Especially after re-watching how we got eliminated," Miles said.
"What did I miss?" Dwayne Senior asked.
"A chain reaction of happy accidents," Macarthur answered.
"Plus," Geoff added. "Karma bit the cadets and vegans."
"Must be rough," Dwayne Senior answered.
One more episode before the first break, and it's just in time for Halloween. See ya soon for that.
