Summary

Kushina barely survived the Kyūbi attack but thanks to Danzo's root she is forced to run with baby Naruto in her hands. Being surrounded by Root she is forced to use a prototype version of the flying thunder God technique in the hopes of escaping. But instead of Landing where she wanted to she is teleported on to a federation Starship. Can her knowledge of Fūinjutsu compensate for her lack of knowledge of The Wider Galaxy as she attempts to carve a path through it for her and her son?

Uzumaki Among The Stars

Chapter 1: Lost In The Stars

Kushina Uzumaki Was running through the forest in an attempt to get away from her pursuers. Danzo, the leader of Root had sent his forces after her and her son. The only reason she was alive right now was that instead of her husband Minato sealing one-half of the nine tails into himself. He resealed it into her instead and the other half into her son. If it wasn't for The fact that Tsunade was here in the village, (who had the capability of healing her) he would have sealed it into himself and taken it with him into the Shinigami's stomach. Unfortunately, she could not get to her dear friend Tsunade (who was at the hospital) thanks to the root agents trying to capture her.

Instead, she made a dash to her home. Making it to the gate she activated the seals that prevented people from entering. But somehow it appeared that they had somebody who could bypass it. Acting quickly she created a barrier around the house using her knowledge of Fūinjutsu before entering the house. She knew the barrier wouldn't last long, so she had to act quickly.

If they could get past the seals at the front gate, that meant they must have had a SealMaster with them. The seals at the front gate were highly advanced and one of her husband's best works. It was nothing compared to what Uzumaki could do. But it should have been Advanced enough to keep out Anyone that they didn't want inside their house. She should have done it herself, But her husband was so proud of it that she let it be. Now though she was starting to regret that decision.

Not taking any chances, she came up with a plan To get to Tsunade. Heading to the library she activated a seal that stored all of the house's contents, including their Scrolls that were in the library in a large sealing Scroll. The scroll was protected by the best work of the Uzumaki Clan. They may be able to break through the front gate and get past her barrier. But they're not getting any of her family secrets When she leaves the house to get to Tsunade, Especially if they catch her. Slinging the scroll over her back she picked up her son again.

But then She started coughing heavily, covering her mouth in an attempt to not get her son sick she felt the warm sticky sensation of blood on her hands. Her friend Kimiko (also known as the nine-tailed demon Fox) was in the process of healing her. But it was only delaying the inevitable, if she did not get to Tsunade she would not survive, And there was no way in hell, she was going to leave her son An orphan. So using her blood, she drew a seal on the palm of her hand. It was a prototype seal for a more advanced form of the Hiraishin (Flying Thunder God Technique).

Instead of having a marker, you would need to lock on to somebody's chakra signature and teleport to that person. The problem with the seal (besides it not being tested) was it requires somebody who has highly advanced sensory capabilities to perform it. Not to mention needing Advanced levels of chakra control. Luckily for her, she had both. Now all she really needed to do was search for Tsunade's chakra signature and activate the seal. As she searched for the chakra signature of her dear friend and her only Hope at the moment. She was quickly able to find her, but as soon as she started activating the seal she felt a stabbing pain in her chest. Looking down there was a blade piercing her chest and just missing her heart. That was the last thing she saw before a red Flash enveloped her before she fell unconscious.

Star Base 24

Commander Harper Holtz was the Starfleet Commander in charge of Starbase 24. Commander Holtz Is a 40-year-old Human with tan skin, black hair, and eyes. He also had a Jagged scar on the right side of his face that went down past his brow and onto his cheek below his eye.

Starbase 24 Was a starbase on the Klingon border. It wasn't just a trade Hub between the Klingons and the Federation but also a shipyard that built, repaired, and refitted Starfleet ships. They even occasionally serviced some Klingon ships in the past. In fact, that is exactly why he called a meeting of his staff. He needed to inform them that a Klingon warship would be docking at their station due to an onboard accident. Luckily none of the crew were hurt bad enough that their own Medical staff could not handle it. But the ship was practically crippled and needed to be towed To the nearest Starbase which happened to be this one. Due to the Klingon ship being a Vor'cha Class Warship and the speed of their towship, it would take them at least a week to get to the station.

Which was great because they had a lot of prep work to do before that ship docked. Commander Holtz was about to end the meeting with his Command Staff when a red light engulfed the room for a brief second. When it cleared there was a red haired woman carrying a child with a scroll on her back. She was lying on her side and there was a blade sticking through her chest with blood quickly pouring out of her. His chief medical officer Lieutenant K'Mori, pulled out her Medical tricorder and rushed over to the down woman. Lieutenant K'Mori is a 30-year-old Caitian Woman, a feline species. (basically cat people) Her fur was a pure silvery White and she had emerald green slitted eyes.

Naruto in Kushina's arms wailed as Lieutenant K'Mori scanned her. She only scanned Kushina for a second before she ordered an emergency medical Transport to the med Bay. As the three were transported straight to the med bay, Commander Holtz ordered his second officer Lieutenant Commander Wyse as well as his chief of security Lieutenant Dru to follow him down to the med Bay. Wyse is a 33-year-old African-American human male with black hair and black eyes. Lieutenant Dru is a 30-year-old half-Betazoid male with white skin, brown hair, and the irises of his eyes were completely black.

Do to the size of the station, it took them a couple of minutes to get to the med Bay. Noticing that the woman was now in surgery Commander Holtz went to the observation room. It took them a whole hour longer than he expected for them to stabilize the woman, especially since the woman was obviously stabbed. Depending on how severe the wound was, such a wound would normally take 20 minutes maybe 30 for them to stabilize the patient. As Lieutenant K'Mori finally exited the surgery room after stabilizing Kushina, she made her way to the observation room knowing that's where Commander Holtz Would be waiting for her. Taking off the medical scrubs she approached Commander Holtz with a tired look on her face.

"Report." Commander Holtz said causing K'Mori to Sigh. She moved over to the replicator in the observation room.

"Well, the first thing I guess you should know, is that I was able to stabilize her, and she is going to live," K'Mori said as she ordered a glass of water from the replicator before continuing.

" the second thing she wasn't just stabbed, every cell in her body seemed to be drained of its energy for a brief time, which caused cellular damage. If it wasn't for her regenerative capabilities she would have died on that operation table." K'Mori said as she took a sip of her glass of water. But before she could continue Lieutenant Commander Wyse spoke up.

"Regenerative capabilities, what do you mean? The station scanners said that she was human." Lieutenant Commander Wyse said Confused.

Lieutenant Wyke is the chief science officer of the station. She is a 20-year-old human Woman, with white skin, Blonde hair, and blue eyes with a patch of freckles on her cheeks. She also had to go down to analysis to go through the Sensor logs before heading here, just in time for K'Mori to finish up with her patient.

"Well, you're right she's human. Her DNA, along with her bios scans confirm this. But she's also Emitting enough energy to power this station three times over. And it's that same energy that's regenerating her cells at a rapid pace. It seems every cell in her body is emitting this energy and in return that energy is healing her." K'Mori said Shocking the group. Commander Holtz, walked towards the observation room window and looked at the sleeping woman, as nurses attended to her.

"What about the child she had, what can you tell us?" Commander Holtz asked as he looked at the woman.

"The child is her son, I have confirmed this. She recently gave birth to him 3 hours ago. The boy is quite healthy and He is not emitting any energy that we can detect." K'Mori said Causing Holtz to nod his head before speaking.

"What about the possessions that she had on her." Commander Holtz Asked, This time it was his chief science officer Lieutenant Elsy Wyke who spoke up.

"Yeah, that's the interesting part." Lieutenant Wyke said Before heading to a display terminal in the observation room, so she could bring up her findings. After a second or two, she brought up her findings and continued her report.

ok, Let's start off with the easy parts. She had a total of 14 hand forge Japanese-styled kunai and 24 Japanese-style shuriken. The refinery method of the metal places The manufacturer at a possible technological level in the 1900s of Earth. She had two other Scrolls in the satchel that she had on her hip. The clothes she was wearing placed the manufacturing stage of the technological level in the 1920s of Earth. But now this is where it gets interesting the Scrolls that she had in her Satchel as well as the big one that she had on her back. Are emitting an energy field that is blocking all our sensors and scanners. That same energy field is also creating a protective barrier around them. And if I'm right the barrier around the big scroll is strong enough to survive an antimatter explosion. Could you imagine if we could figure out how she did that? The risk of warp core breaches will be a thing of the past, not to mention the scientific Endeavors we could do with that level of protection?" Lieutenant Wyke said, Practically giddy, and Commander Holtz could not blame her.

His scientific mind was also running through hundreds of thousands of possibilities from that knowledge alone. The problem was wherever she came from the technological level was not advanced enough to reach the first contact scenarios. Then again it could be the fact that her people prefer a simple lifestyle and their technological advances Were maintained in another way. This had to be the case, especially since the Scrolls were emitting an energy field. That meant that there was a high possibility there was some technology involved. And one possibly several hundred years more advanced than their own. His thoughts were cut off though, by Lieutenant Wyke continuing with her report.

"But what's more fascinating sir is this symbol on each scroll. You see the Swirl pattern, that's a clan symbol, and not just any Clan. It's the Uzumaki Clan, a Japanese Clan that has its roots far as back as 18th century Japan. If it wasn't for the fact that their Clothes are made of materials that are not native to Earth. I would have thought we had a time traveler on our hands." Lieutenant Wyke said, Commander Holtz was about to ask a question but he was beaten to it by Doctor K'Mori.

"What, did you just say Uzumaki? Huh, now I think of it she does look a lot like Ashley and her litter." Lieutenant K'Mori Said as she looked through the window at the red-haired woman.

"Wait are you talking about Lieutenant Uzumaki And her family?" Commander Holtz Asked.

"Yeah, I am. She's got the red hair and the facial features to match Lieutenant Uzumaki's. If I remember correctly she even has a necklace with that same swirl pattern. She wears it everywhere, and I believe she did say it was her clan symbol. Should I run a DNA comparison between the two to see if there is a relation between them?" Lieutenant K'Mori Asked, Commander Holtz thought over it for a second before making his decision.

"Run the DNA comparison. Wyse talk to Lieutenant Uzumaki and ask if she has any family near this system. I'm going to speak to Starfleet Command and ask how should I proceed. Because if I'm right this is a first-contact scenario and those need to be handled delicately." Commander Holtz said before leaving the room and heading to his office.

A Day Later

Commander Holtz just got a reply from Starfleet. The ruling was if the DNA test came back positive, she'd be ruled under the Species re-education Act of 2260. Commander Holtz's opinion of this was that the act was outdated.

It was made during a Time to fix a problem that Starfleet was having. During the growing stages of Starfleet, a lot of species were extremely eager to explore and Starfleet was extremely eager to get more numbers into their fold. This caused a lot of ships to go lost over the centuries. And before they knew it a lot of unregistered colonies that had no idea what warp drive even was were scattered around In unknown space. So instead of leaving these species to ReDiscover Warp Drive, they were approached by Starfleet and offered them the chance of reeducation. The information was limited to Basic education, and until they were able to prove that they were capable of understanding the more advanced technology, only then they would give them that knowledge. That was determined by them Developing a form of Warp drive or some form of faster-than-light travel, with Starfleet guiding them.

It did not help that Lieutenant K'Mori came back with a positive on her DNA. There was no doubt that she was related to Lieutenant Uzumaki, very distantly related, but related nonetheless. Now he had assembled his Command staff in the meeting room to discuss this development.

"Okay, Lieutenant K'Mori report on our guest." Commander Holtz said as he sat in his chair.

"Well first off, the Woman in there is definitely related to Lieutenant Uzumaki, Very distantly related, but related nonetheless. She is also healing quite well and should be awake within the day. I also have her restraint because I have a feeling she's going to react negatively." Lieutenant K'Mori said, but Lieutenant Wyke spoke up.

"Is that wise, keeping her restrained might make her not trust us." Lieutenant Wyke said. But this only caused Lieutenant K'Mori to snort in amusement.

"Look that woman is going to have one thing on her mind when she wakes up and that's finding her kit. Now add to the fact that she was stabbed and now waking up in an alien environment. If she's anything like Lieutenant Uzumaki, she'll most likely attack first then ask questions later. Hell, I would probably do the same thing if I thought my little K'Neko was in danger." Lieutenant K'Mori said.

Commander Holtz nodded his head in agreement. Lieutenant Wyke was right it would probably damage her trust in them. But he knew that a mother's Wrath could be dangerous especially when their child was Involved. So the safest option was to keep her restrained until she got a hold of herself and was calm. His thoughts are cut off by the com system.

"Dr K'Mori, are mystery patient is awake and she's not happy." A nurse said over the com system. Lieutenant K'Mori, just gave a look to Lieutenant Wyke that pretty much said, 'I told you so,' before responding.

"I'll be right there." K'Mori said, as she Got up from her seat and headed out of the room with the rest of the staff following.
