Azai Jin chapter 1 :
Intriguing, most intriguing new story!
I'm guessing that we will primarily be following Kushina in this story, as Naruto is just a baby and from the mentioning of a Klingon Vor'cha heavy cruiser, we are at some point after 2362 in the Star Trek timeline? And Star Trek: The Next Generation may be in progress or may soon be or maybe the DS9 storyline has already begun? Will be very interesting to see what Kushina will get up to and be involved in!
And it also sounds like the people of the Elemental Nations are connected to Earth? Interesting, I wonder how and what this will mean!
And restraining Kushina ... not a good choice! Unless they used some kind of very strong metal or powerful forcefields, she will be able to break free with her strength! ... Going to be interesting to see what happens!
This looks like a very promising and intriguing new story and I can't wait for the next chapter!

Yes, this will primarily start with following Kushina in this story. Naruto will most likely have his own sequel or a spin-off series. This is during the time of 2355. I'm doing this because I want Kushina to be given time to adjust before the events of TNG starts.
Yeah, I agree with you 100% on restraining Kushina. But as you're going to read it was a good call even though it was a futile one.

For the first chapter of the story it seem to have a great start with the plotline and the storyline.
Kushina and Naruto becoming active members of star fleet seems as a unique idea. Want to see and read where you take this story. Like maybe Kushina taking control of the first contact between Starfleet and the Shinobi planet. And killing Danzo for getting her in this situation.
More chapters more updates.

I do have plans for two should not helping with first Contact between Starfleet and the Shinobi planet. And of course, Danzo going to be dead by the end of the story that's a guarantee.

I loved it, good chapter.
Naruto and Kushina would have lost their home but when they discovered they gained a new one with more members of the Uzumaki clan apparently alive.
Kushina to join Starfleet.
Naruto will join Starfleet too. If so, it could be with the lower-ranking guys from Star Trek Lower Decks with Mariner and Boimler. It would definitely be something fun.

Chapter 2: First Contact With... A Ninja?
Kushina woke up slowly, her head was pounding like a drum. There was a bright light in her eyes that blurred her vision for a second. Looking around she noticed that she was in a room with strange equipment with multiple people wearing blue and black uniforms working on some other people. Her mind fuzzy, she attempted to remember how she got here. It was then the memories came back to her in a rush as her heartbeat spiked.
She attempted to get up but she quickly realized that she was restrained. It was a strange invisible force holding every inch of her body down besides her neck and head. Perhaps it was a barrier, no, there was no chakra involved, A paralytic then. No that couldn't be it either she's able to move her neck and her body does not feel numb. Attempting to shift her body she instantly Could tell that indeed it was some type of barrier that didn't use chakra. How does a barrier sustain itself without chakra and where the fuck is she? If she could create a burst of chakra perhaps she could disrupt the barrier around her.
So she attempted to focus her fuzzy frantic mind. But she quickly Figured out it was harder than she realized. Fuck she did not have time for this she needed to find her son and if she has to brutally kill everybody to get to him she will. Letting out an audible growl, she Decided just to attempt to brute force her way out so she could find her son. But she was stopped by the voice of one of the nurses who was approaching her slowly.
"You're okay, you're safe, we are simply medical staff treating your wounds. I have already called the doctor and she will be down here in a couple of minutes, So please be patient." The nurse said, but it wasn't the nurse's words that calmed her. But the words from her dear friend Kimiko that spoke into her mind.
"Kushina, it's all right, I sense no negative Intentions from her only positive ones. You are safe as well as your son. Who is currently in the other room?" Kimiko said tiredly, this caused Kushina to visibly relax.
"Where's my son, where's Naruto?" Kushina asked, in a desperate need to see her son. She trusted Kimiko with her and Naruto's life. But she could not settle her nerves after what just happened without at least confirming with her own eyes that Naruto was safe.
The nurse simply smiled at her as she gestured to one of the nurses to grab her son. It was only a couple of seconds later that one of the nurses came in and handed the child off to the primary nurse who was talking to Kushina. Sitting down next to a Kushina's bed the nurse made sure that Kushina had a perfect view of her son.
"I cannot release your Restraints, unfortunately. The doctor thought you would have done something rash if you weren't restrained. And I can't release the restraints without the Doctor's Orders. So I will sit here and hold your son for you so you know he's safe." The nurse said with a kind and gentle smile on her face. Kushina appreciated the gesture and couldn't really blame the doctor for having common sense.
She was an unknown woman who recently gave birth and was stabbed through the chest, before being teleported straight onto their Doorstep, So restraints we're definitely called for and we're definitely needed. Especially since, her first instinct was to tear her way through anyone who impeded her path towards her son. But God she hated not being able to hold her son. She knew she could easily Escape from her restraints, since now she figured out what was holding her down was a barrier of some type that didn't use chakra. But breaking out would be Counterproductive in her situation. Kimiko had assured her that the people had no Negative intentions and truly wanted to help her. So she would play nice and wait for the doctor.
It took 15 minutes for the doctor to show up. But she did not show up alone a small group of people followed behind her into the room. Kushina noticed the different colors of uniforms But what was more interesting was the fact that the doctor was a cat person. At first, she thought she was a summon, but the fact that she was wearing a doctor's coat and held an air of authority within the medical room told her otherwise And again she could be wrong. It also seemed one of them had empathic capabilities, Kimiko had already shielded her thoughts once she detected him. Kimiko was able to tell that it surprised the man although he did not show it. Neither of them had any hostile intention towards her or her son, which was a good sign.
Lieutenant K'Mori noticed that she was not bothered by the slightest or caught off-guard by her presence. It was almost like she had met another Caitian before or something similar. Oh God, she hoped that there was no other Caitian on her world. Especially when her people had made a lot of effort to control their instincts. But at least her reaction meant that she did not have any dislike or hatred for the Caitian or anything similar to her species. So taking a leap of faith she approached the woman first, then she spoke up as she went over her chart.
"I'm surprised that you are not startled about my Appearance. Have you met another Caitian before?" Lieutenant K'Mori asked calmly. Kushina just shrugs her shoulders (or attempts to because she's still restrained) before responding.
"Eh, no I have not seen anything like you. But you're not the weirdest thing I've seen." Kushina said nonchalantly before speaking again but this time in a more serious tone.
"Although I do not mind answering some questions, I rather do that with my son in my arms, and not restrained To a bed like a mental patient," Kushina said with a serious tone.
"I will agree to that if you promise not to attack us." Lieutenant K'Mori Said matching Kushina's tone.
"As long as you don't attempt to harm me or my son, I won't." Kushina said still serious, Nodding Lieutenant K'Mori deactivated the restraining field and helped her sit up. Once she did the nurse handed her Naruto, which the group noticed seemed to make her more relaxed.
"Now what do you want to know?" Kushina asked after getting naruto situated in her arms.
"First, I would like to know who you are?" Commander Holtz Said stepping forward.
"I'm Kushina, Kushina Uzumaki a Ninja and Elite Jōnin of Konohagakure, and this is my son Naruto." Kushina said. Causing everybody in the room's eyes to light up a bit which Kushina took note of.
"It is a pleasure to meet you Kushina, I am Commander Holtz, the Commander of this station. To Left of Me is my second officer Lieutenant commander Wyse, And to the left of him is Lieutenant Dru my chief of security. To my right is Lieutenant Wyke, and the Doctor Who treated your wounds is my chief medical officer Lieutenant K'Mori." Commander Holtz said, As everybody gave their own form of greetings or acknowledgment as their name was called. And once introductions were out of the way Holtz continued.
"Now I would like to ask how did you get on to our station, We would also like to know who wounded you." Commander Holtz Said.
Kushina thought over what she should tell them. Kimiko was monitoring their emotions and none of them had any Intent to harm them. They were just extremely curious about her and worrying about something else. Not to mention that she was getting the vibe that these were really nice people. Her instincts were never wrong When it came To trusting people. But she still needed to tread lightly, Especially since Kushina could tell from her personal Hiraishin markers back in her home, that they were an absurd amount of distance away from it. If Kimiko was right it would take a full week of gathering chakra to make a jump back home. So, discussing it over with Kimiko, they came up with a plan.
"Have you ever heard of the Hiraishin before?" Kushina asked as she tested the water a bit. Kimiko could easily tell everybody in their room was confused. Which meant they never heard of it.
"Ahhh, No? Although I do know the translation to it, it's the flying Thunder God technique, right?" Lieutenant Wyke Asked confused as she scratched the side of her head. Kushina nodded her head At that, before speaking up again.
"You are correct now do you know what Fūinjutsu is?" Kushina patiently asked. But when they still looked as confused as before she could not help but let out a long Sigh.
"Do you at least know what chakra is?" Kushina asked hopefully but when she got confused looks like she did before. She was stumped on how to proceed.
"Oh great, how am I going to explain to you how I got here, if I can't explain to you the basics of spaceTime mechanics of Fūinjutsu?" Kushina said under her breath, but it was loud enough for the science officer to hear which caused her to perk up.
"Wait, spacetime mechanics of Fūinjutsu. Are you telling me that you manipulated space-time to get here?" Lieutenant Wyke asked excitedly.
"Yes, I manipulated spacetime, it's called the Groco Warping effect. My great-grandfather Groco Uzumaki heavily analyzed how chakra interacts with space and time. My grand Uncle his son Mocaho Uzumaki continued his research until Tobirama Senju managed to develop the very first version of Hiraishin which took a lot of chakra to do compared to the one I used. Here is an analogy that my father told me when he was explaining the basics of the technique when I was five." Kushina said, she then Grabbed A small blanket from one of the beds and laid it out in front of her, Before continuing.
"This blanket represents an entire continent of mountains, trees, Rivers you name it. One end of the blanket is your starting location and the other end is your destination. The Hiraishin works by folding the blanket, So you're beginning and end destinations are together. And then tunneling a hole through both ends." Kushina said A little happy as she was finally getting somewhere. But this caused Lieutenant Dru's eyes to widen In excitement.
"Are you telling me, you could create an artificial wormhole?" Lieutenant Wyke said practically vibrating at the prospect of an artificial Wormhole being created. Kushina Just looked confused
"A What now?" Kushina asked confused. It was obvious that the two had two different terminologies when explaining simple things like Fūinjutsu (Which was nowhere close to being simple) and chakra. This seems to take the wind out of Lieutenant Wyke sails, but only for a second Because of Commander Holtz's next words.
"Well, it seems that we have different terminology, but what you described is what we call a Wormhole or an Einstein Rosen Bridge. You said this was a technique. So I assume this is not a piece of technology but something you can do physically, Am I correct?" Commander Holtz asked.
" Yeah, it doesn't use any technology but it does require level 6 knowledge of Fūinjutsu, a High level of chakra control, and the capability to Sense chakra, Which I have?" Kushina said as she scratched the side of her face.
"Could you demonstrate it or are you too injured to? Keep in mind you can always show us later." Commander Holtz asked Curiously, But obviously concerned.
"Ehh, I got plenty of chakra to do it, So it won't be a problem." Kushina said as she shrugged her shoulders before walking over to the Med-bay wall. As she did Lieutenant Wyke pulled out a Tricorder which made Kushina stop and look at her curiously.
"Oh, this is a Tricorder, it's a scanning tool. I want to Confirm if we're talking about the same thing." Lieutenant Wyke said sheepishly. Kushina just Shrugged her shoulders again and continued her path to the wall. She placed a hand on it and when she removed it, then an Intricate pattern appeared there.
"Whoa, you just did matter-energy conversion with your bare hands." Lieutenant Wyke said absolutely shocked Along with everybody else. But then she looked confused as she looked over the readings.
"But the energy output you are admitting dropped a bit. Is that energy what you call chakra, what is it exactly?" Lieutenant Wyke Asked causing Kushina to nod, before speaking.
"Although I'm surprised that you're able to pick up chakra with your technology. But Chakra in very simple terms is a mixture of mental energy and physical energy. Every living thing has chakra. I can go into a longer and In-depth explanation of Chakra Theory later. But I think I should demonstrate this technique So I can start asking my own questions." Kushina said, as she walked over to the other side of the room before activating the technique. In a flash of red, she was on the other side of the room.
Which shocked everybody in the room, all but Lieutenant Wyke who had practically stars in her eyes. Her Tricorder just confirmed that the woman just opened a wormhole. It was less than a second but it was a completely stable artificial wormhole. Looking over her scans again her eyebrow raised.
"Ahh, Kushina, for a second there I picked up two different energy readings coming from you, is there something I'm missing?" Lieutenant Wyke asked, Causing Kushina to Sigh. She was about to explain when a woman with long red hair, fox ears, and 9 Tails that swayed behind her, appeared right behind Lieutenant Wyke Before speaking into her ear.
"That would be me," Kimiko said causing Lieutenant Wyke to squeal out in shock. Kimiko just snickered at this before speaking up again.
"Sorry, sorry, I couldn't resist." Kimiko says, as Lieutenant Wyke holds her hand over her rapidly beating heart.
"And you are?" Commander Holtz asks, a little on guard.
"Oh, I'm sorry. I am Kimiko, a being completely composed of chakra. Me and Kushina have a... Symbiotic Relationship. But to confirm your question that was me you're picking up. I am sorry that I did not show myself earlier. People have a habit of being very close-minded." Kimiko said smiling causing everybody to relax again.
"What kind of symbiotic relationship are we talking about here exactly?" Commander Holtz asks curious. But Kimiko just waved her finger at him like a disappointed mother would.
"Tisk, tisk, I think we have answered enough of your questions, how about answering some of ours?" Kimiko said as she sat down right next to Kushina, who made her self-comfortable back on the bed.
"That's fair, ask your questions and we will answer to the best of our ability." Commander Holtz said sighing.
Although it was quite odd to be talked to like he was a child it wasn't uncommon. There have been many races with longer lifespans who saw him as a child. Meeting a conjoined species was also not uncommon. Even though he wanted to learn a lot more about the two. He knew that they had given up a lot of information already, if the claim of them being ninjas and Elite ones at that was true It was obviously given in good faith. Trust is built not on a one-way street but two, and they had plenty of time to ask more questions later, so he would answer any questions that came his way.
"So the first question where are we exactly and who are you? I can tell that you're from some type of military or organization." Kimiko asked taking control of the questions for now.
"To your first question, we are on Starbase 24, it is the star base stationed in Federation territory on the Klingon border. You're right we are part of an organization it's called Starfleet. The main objective of Starfleet is to seek out new life and new civilizations and to explore new worlds." Commander Holtz said Causing Kimiko to perk up at that.
"Ah, you're part of that organization." Kimiko said but seeing the surprised looks on their faces she continued before any questions could be asked.
"Around 200 years ago a man who called himself Captain Jackson crash-landed what he called an escape pod on the island of Uzushiogakure. At the time I was living with the Uzumakis who called that Island home And I was asked to heal his wounds. The man did not know that he crashed on a planet as primitive as ours so he told us a bit about Starfleet before he stopped talking all together. He said something about the prime directive for the reason why he clammed up. When he was well enough to move he made his way to his Escape pod and blew himself up with it. To this day I wonder why he did that, and I am guessing that you know the answer." Kimiko said as she eyed them with an analyzing gaze. Commander Holtz let out a long sigh at hearing that. gathering his composure he started to explain.
"Although I do not know every captain in Starfleet especially one from 200 years ago. I can explain why he did it and what the prime directive is. The prime directive is one of our most sacred and upheld laws in Starfleet. It states that we are not allowed to interfere with another species evolutionary process. The only time we make contact with them which we call First Contact is when they develop faster than light travel. It is a star fleet's officer's Duty to uphold this law no matter what the cost." Commander Holtz said, Kimiko had understanding in her eyes at his words, and before Holtz could continue she spoke up.
"So he attempted to prevent cultural contamination. His ship must have had technology that we weren't ready for and the knowledge in his head must have been too dangerous. I can respect that, a man is nothing without any principles to guide him." Kimiko said, Commander Holtz Was quite surprised about how quickly she peace things together. And was quite glad that she could understand the reasonings behind it.
"Next question what do you plan on doing with us now that we know this knowledge?" Kimiko asks her eyes analyzing for any signs of Deceit.
"Nothing, since your species somehow created something that would be considered faster than light travel, We consider this a first-contact scenario. Even if you hadn't Created faster than light capabilities, we have no intention of holding you here. If you can, you are free to return home if you wish." Commander Holtz said Calmly and honestly. Nodding her head Kimiko accepted his answer. Deciding to ask her final question, Kimiko took a more air of authority as her eyes narrowed and her face hardened.
"Now are you going to tell me why there is a family of Uzumaki's on your station?"
