The darkness was all he could see around him, just darkness. His senses were too confused to detect any threat, so all he could rely on was his luck.
Even before focusing on his senses, he tried to contact his friend/companion for some extra help, but nothing happened. No matter how hard he tried to communicate with him, it was futile. It seemed pointless to keep trying if the result was the same, so now he would just focus on his senses.
But now all he had was luck to survive wherever he was. So, without further ado, he began to walk forward, facing the darkness with the limited sight he had. However, one thing was clear: he was in some kind of cave or something similar, as he could feel the dampness on the floor and walls.
Thirty minutes later -Alright, it was official. He was fed up with being where he was. He had walked for more than twenty minutes, and everything he saw was exactly the same as what he had seen before. No change in the environment or his senses, still disoriented and unable to contact his companion. The only good thing that had happened during this time was that his Chakra had returned.
He could feel it inside him since he arrived wherever he was, but it felt restricted, as if it had some kind of seal denying him access to his own Chakra, reminiscent of when his teacher used to seal him when he lost control.
But now that wasn't important. What was important was that he finally had access to his Chakra, so he could orient his senses better to figure out what kind of area he was in. However, little or nothing served him. It was the same pure darkness or silence, so now he didn't see the point in continuing to walk if the result would be the same. So, the best idea he could think of was two ideas.
The first was to leave it all to luck and give a Rasengan towards the wall to make his own way, with the risk of being crushed by a rock or, in the best-case scenario, trapped in a worse place than where he was. And the second was to take a break and then continue walking aimlessly to see if he found a way out.
So, what to do? The first one was the most tempting but also the riskiest, as well as the most stupid. And the second was the most boring but safer than the first one, without a doubt.
Deep in thought, he only got more irritated. He wasn't one to think about complicated things; that was for Temari. He was more about action, doing whatever came to mind first and then worrying about the consequences. But if there was something the war had taught him, it was that thinking things through would lead to a better outcome.
But now that wasn't on his mind. All he wanted was to get out of wherever he was so he could go eat some of his favorite ramen. So, without waiting any longer, he stretched his hand forward, beginning to concentrate chakra in the palm of his hand to start generating a Rasengan.
If there was one thing he had learned in his self-imposed training, it was how to perform the Rasengan with one hand to not take too long doing it with a clone. Something more than the war had left its mark on him. Even the smallest seconds were indispensable to win a battle, something that was reflected in his last battle with Sasuke.
But he just shook his head to focus on his Rasengan. No more than ten seconds passed when his Rasengan was the size and strength to destroy a wall. So, without further ado, he turned to slam it and get out to get his precious ramen.
The plan was simple: to destroy the walls until he could get out of wherever he was, something anyone could do if they had enough power. A plan undoubtedly simple, easy to execute. Or that would have been if not for an unforeseen and uncalculated factor.
Before he could even get close to the wall to destroy it, no more than a meter away, a woman with light blue hair appeared, covered in bindings on her legs and arms, large horns symbolizing the earth, and eyes reflecting the planet's inner sea, looking at him fixedly with her head tilted upwards due to the height difference.
Neither of them said or made any move. The first was too impressed by the appearance of someone who wasn't even with him at any moment, and the second just kept looking at the strange person with the blue ball in her raised hand.
The awkward moment dragged on for two minutes with their connected gazes. The woman with horns only looking at the blonde in front of her, while he just started lowering his arm, making the Rasengan disappear, now just looking at her silently.
The minutes passed until finally one of them spoke the first words with the intention of starting a conversation.
Naruto: Hmn... Hello, are you lost?
The question was thrown towards the strange woman who was just looking without any intentions of responding or doing anything more than observing him, making him nervous because of the silence that only made him look at his person.
He was going to think of a better plan to execute now with the new presence of the woman who was just watching him without saying anything. He could have thought of something to do if it weren't for the fact that, from one moment to the next, the woman grew to a huge size, destroying a large part of the cave, leaving him with nowhere to stand, just in the air, heading towards her mouth.
With only a few seconds left before he was probably swallowed and crushed by the teeth of whatever the previous thing was, he tried to cling to any nearby part, but everything was falling towards the mouth of the transformed woman.
With no more than ten seconds left, he was sure he was going to be swallowed by whatever the woman was.
Naruto: Shit, this is gonna hurt...
Before he touched the woman's mouth, everything around him lit up, disappearing what was previously darkness along with the creature that wanted to devour him.
Unknown place -Suddenly opening his eyes, he jumped to his feet, starting to spin around in desperation from the fright of being eaten without being able to do anything.
After spinning like an idiot without direction for two minutes, he stopped to look around. The first thing he saw was the blue of the sky covered with clouds. But before he could focus his senses, he was interrupted by someone he knew very well.
Kurama: You finally woke up, idiot.
Naruto: Kurama?
Kurama: Who else could it be, dummy?
Naruto: I'm glad to finally hear you, Kurama.
Kurama: Tks... Anyway, tell me why you did such a stupid thing.
At the mention of his companion, he remembered how he ended up like this, wanting to try his father's jutsu, ending up in the situation he was in now. So, all he could do was sit down, putting his hand behind his head, laughing nervously.
Naruto: Well, I thought that after understanding the Flying Thunder God Technique, I could execute it like Dad did in the war when he arrived.
Kurama: Of all the stupid things you haven't done in the last few months, you had to come up with such stupidity. But there's no turning back now. Get up and explore where your stupidity led us.
Naruto: Well, alright.
With that said, he got up from the ground to look around where there was only sand. It could be that he was in some area of the Sand Village, but he wouldn't be sure until he checked. So, ready to find out where he was, he started walking slowly towards the entrance of the village. If he had already committed a gigantic stupidity, he didn't want to commit another one causing a stir in a village he didn't know. So, he would enter calmly to not cause any problems.
Now he would undoubtedly have a lot of work. First, to find out where he was and then to find the woman's friend to help him. He promised he would, and he never broke a promise because that was his ninja way.
And that's the end of the chapter.
