Chapter 1: Bludhaven PD/Prologue
Deep in the vegetated secluded basement of The Bludhaven Police Department, there was a vegetated prison cell that contained one prisoner. And that one prisoner's name was Poison Ivy. Some point before her temporary incarceration at Bludhaven PD, she was captured by Nightwing after being blown into the sewers along with Bane and Batman by an unknown and unseen person.
Ivy, as usual, was bored out of her mind. She cared little to nothing about about anything at the moment. Even her current imprisonment did not phase her as she stood in her temporary prison cell that was taken over by plant life until she was transferred to Blackgate Prison. Pamela knew Bludhaven's finest feared that she'd easily bring down the whole building with her abilities to control plants. The thought amused her, she had even thought about mind controlling one of the officers to set her free against their will, but where was the fun in that?
"I'm seriously over these meat sacks already." Ivy thought in her head how bored she was of the same routine she normally found herself in. Hatch an elaborate ecosystem like plane, battle with with Batman, get defeated by Batman, and finally get sent away to prison. Ivy was bored of it all. Batman, trying to turn Gotham into her personal botanical gardens, everything. As more time passed, Ivy just stood their in the same uncaring and uninterested like posture in the back of her temporary cell. What Pamela had assumed was going to be simply another long and boring night of solitary, just got a lot crazier and interesting.
"There's my favorite vegan!" That was the sound of the one and only Harley Quinn, who had opened the door to the basement to rescue Red.
Ivy slowly and calmly walked to the front of her cell. She replied to Harley's remarks in a calm and casual manner. "Harley. Come to free me? Again."
Before her fellow doctor could reply to Ivy's question, suddenly five Bludhaven Police Officers burst through the door, ready for action.
"Come on! We've got the perp cornered!" One of the five officers shouted in excitement. three of the officers were armored while two of them were dressed like normal cops. One of the armored cops had a riot shield in hand.
Immediately one of the two non armored cops charged at Quinn, who responded by easily leaping over him like a frog. Ivy watched the ongoing battle from her cell in slight amusement.
"You should smile more!" Harley said this in a happy tone before swinging her bat at the officer with a shield in a chainsaw like manner. The cop then accidentally gave Harley an opening to use his own body as a launching and landing pad as Harley smashed down on him, disarming him of his shield. Harley then began engaging the Bludhaven officers in intense combat. One of them tried to punch her, but Harley responded by blocking it then kneeing him in gut.
The cop groaned in pain as he held his gut in pain. Another officer tried to attack Harley, but she responded by giving him a beatdown. After Harley had rapidly hit the cop, she stunned him, then proceeded to knock him unconscious , making the fight four on one. Harley jumped over another cop, then she proceeded to smash her bat against his rear end, knocking him unconscious and rendering the fight to three on one
"KAAAA-POW!" Harley smashed her bat over the third cop's head, knocking him unconscious and rendering the fight to two on one. "Lose some weight Donut Dunkers!"
The two remaining cops were getting worried and embarrassed as their numbers were were easily decreasing thanks to Harley Quinn of all people. Ivy was amused by the sight that was in front of her and looked on as Harley was about to make quick work of these last two pathetic cops that everyone in the room knew, including the cops themselves, stood no chance.
"Teach her a lesson!" One of the two remaining officers ran at Quinn aggressively but this would sadly lead to him being used as a launching pad and eventually going sleepy by via Harley's trusty baseball bat.
"Screw This! You're done Qui.-" Before that sentence could even be finished, Harley cartwheeled in front of the remaining officer, kicked him to the ground and slammed her bat into his face. Harley had finally disposed of the five cops.
Harley was finally finished dealing with the 'little piggies'. Before she could fully catch her breath and free Red, she had another major problemo to deal with.
"End of the line, Quinn!" Nightwing had somersaulted over the basement balcony and onto the battlefield with Harley.
"Bat-Knight!"
"Nightwing!"
Without a second to think, both Harley and Nightwing, who charged up his batons, ran at each other with full force and intensity. The end of the clash resulted in Harley leaping of the original Robin, avoiding the impact of 50,000 volts of electricity. Without any hesitation Harley immediately began attacking Nightwing from behind. Harley surprisingly managed to get in three good strikes on the hero before he regained control of himself.
"10-35! I repeat, 10-35!" Suddenly three more cops dropped down from the basement balcony to assist Nightwing in bringing down Harley.
"You shoulda stayed outta Bludhaven." Nightwing tried to attack Quinn with his electric batons, but she managed to jump out of the way just in time. Then two of the three cops tried to punch Harley at the same. Harley retaliated by blocking both of their attacks at the same time with her Baseball Bat. She then knocked out both of them with brutal double swing across their jaws. Harley was sure she had broken them.
Ivy watched on from her vegetated cell as Harley engaged battle with not only Nightwing, but what seemed like at least a dozen more cops all trying to attack her one of her only two friends. Ivy was quite surprised at how well Harley was handling herself against Nightwing and the cops helping him. One by one the cops were getting taken down by Harley. Not even Nightwing could do anything about it. Harley kept up her same strategy of jumping over Nightwing and attacking when his back was turned. Ivy was quite impressed at how well her fellow former doctor was doing. She could've helped Harley and finished this situation a long time ago due to the basement being ruled by plant life, but Ivy decided against it for now. Harley took out the last two cops and now it was down to herself and Nightwing. the original Robin for the unknown attempt tried to charge at Harley once again, but Harley once again leapfrogged over him and began attacking him from behind.
Nightwing was surprised at how well Harley was overcoming him. Every time he tried to attack her, she responded with a counter attack. Quinn's attacks were starting to prove to much for Nightwing as she kept using her same strategy along with her cat like speed.
"Nighty-Night Nightwing!" Harley delivered her finishing blow on Nightwing. She swept his legs from down under than swung her bat into the side of his torso.
Harley, after overcoming the entire Bludhaven Police Department and Nightwing walked over to Ivy's cell to try and free her. Harley stood next to Red, who was still in her cell, smiled happily. Before her mission could fully be completed, Nightwing, holding his torso in pain stood up slowly and looked prepared for another fight. He had a look of seriousness and determination on his face. Before anything else could happen, Ivy calmly and casually took care of this problem.
"Need some help?" Suddenly, one of Ivy's vines burst into the and wrapped around Nightwing. Afterwards, Ivy's vine dragged Nightwing off into the night, eliminating him temporarily. Harley was of course happy by this sight and gave the first Robin her parting words.
"Nighty-Night!"
Unbeknownst to Ivy, Harley's mission was a success. She had managed to infiltrate The Bludhaven PD, Rescue and Free her. Ivy had no idea why Harley had busted her out, but she was grateful for her freedom. Pamela walked out of her cell after it was open. She slowly to the middle of the the room while Harley talked to someone who she figured was The Penguin based on Harley's dialogue.
"Well, well. Ain't that a bloody surprise. Now grab Ivy and bring her outside. I've got a car waiting for you. Scarecrow will be very pleased with our work."
"OUR work? Sorry Butterpot, last time i checked, squawking and talking ain't work."
Penguin naturally got annoyed and irritated. "Why you little.-"
"Ah ah! Be nice, or no Ivy."
"Just get back to Gotham."
Ivy noticed Harley had finally finished her conversation with Penguin through her earpiece. While she was grateful for her freedom, she still wanted to know why Harley broke her free. She was about to get her answer shortly.
"Come on Pammy! Scarecrow wants a word with you."
Ivy was uninterested in being set free just to have a chat with Scarecrow, but because it was Harley she went along with it.
"Scarecrow? Charming." The uncaring and annoyance in Red's tone could be heard.
"Come on, it'll be fun. Cobbleslob has a van waiting for us outside."
Ivy was forcefully but playfully dragged through the Bludhaven PD by Ivy. While being brought to the van, Ivy could see all of the beaten cops Harley had left in her wake. She had even saw that Harley had fed some of them to her plants, which had amused Ivy a little bit. "So Harley, What does Crane want with me?"
"I don't know Red, I was just told to bring you to some big ole meeting we're having. Now come on, The van is parked outside waiting for us."
The two villainesses walked outside to see the van that Penguin had sent waiting for them. Harley opened up the doors to the van and got in. She was shortly followed by Poison Ivy. Harley then signaled for one of two Penguin thugs to take them to the location of 'The Meeting.' A few minutes into the ride back to Gotham, Harley and Ivy were talking about this 'meeting' and among other things.
"Red did you see me take down Night-Bat?! Mistah J would've been so proud of me." Harley started tearing up a little bit at thought of the late Joker.
"Yes Harley, i saw you. I was there you know."
"I can't wait to take down B-Man Red, after all he killed my Joker. As a matter of fact, i should've killed Nightstink when i had the chance or even better. Red, why didn't you spray him with some spores and make him kill himself or something?"
Ivy noticed that Harley was getting angrier slowly, so she decided to steer away from the topic of The Joker. "Harley, you never exactly told me what this meeting was all about."
"Huh? Oh, Basically Scarecrow is hosting a huge meeting with me and all the other baddies. We're discussing some giant elaborate plot to take down B-Man once and for all. Scarecrow said something about needing you specifically, i tried asking him why, but i didn't wanna bug him anymore. That guy makes me shiver. Especially looking at his face."
"I see."
"So you thinking about joining Pammy?"
Ivy looked over to see Harley had delight on her face. Ivy knew Harley had high hopes that she'd join up with her and the rest of Gotham's scum to take out Batman, but Ivy had honestly grown tired of fighting against Batman, which was also combined with her uncaring motivations to work with the rest of Gotham's scum. Red decided to give the best Poison Ivy suited answer she could give.
"I don't know Harley, you know i hate working with other humans, and i have no interest in Crane's pathetic infamous anti-Batman schemes that will fail like they always do."
"But Pammy, It'll be fun. We get to take down Batman and rule this joint without anyone to stop us."
"Tempting but no. Scarecrow's plans don't amuse me or benefit me in any way."
Harley was saddened that one of her BFFs wouldn't be joining her in her cause, but she was desperate. She wanted Red to be there so bad. So she decided to beg and plead.
"Red please? I don't wanna work for Scarecrow without you."
Ivy knew that Harley was gonna keep nagging for her so she gave her another answer. "Fine Harley, i'll attend the boys sleepover, but i'm not promising anything."
"Thanks Red! Means a lot to me! But you should come around. We'd get to rule Gotham without Bats in our way."
Two minutes after their conversation finished, one of the two of Penguin's henchmen alerted the two girls.
"Quinn, we're here."
Ivy was about to ask where they were at but she saw the familiar abandoned buildings. She then deduced where the meeting was taking place.
Arkham Asylum.
