Chapter 4: It Started With A Meeting:

Ivy had watched as Batman had made quick work of the militia that were originally guarding her. She even had some smart remarks for the Militia. "You should really review your security." As Batman blew through the Militia Ivy had a smirk on her face because her one way ticket to freedom arrived as she had anticipated. "I've seen trees with faster reflexes." Ivy threw that in for both the easy defeat the Soldiers got from Batman and it slightly satisfying her revenge on the men that insulted her plants.

The Dark Knight finished off the soldiers leaving piles of unconscious and broken bodies in his wake. He turned around and looked over at the chamber that currently housed Ivy and the remaining Militia soldier.

The guard had his eyes glued on Batman outside the chamber while he pointed his pistol at Ivy, who wasn't showing any signs of fear, she was mostly showing signs of amusement. Ivy watched as Batman stood dead still looking at her and the one guard inside the chamber with her. He radioed in to someone, likely one of his leading commanders or captains or something uninteresting in Ivy's mind.

"Sir it's Batman. He's here." Said Soldier. Batman remained still as did Poison Ivy.

Then came the voice and face of someone who Ivy despised personally. "Were you expecting to find me Batman? I'm afraid i must disappoint you."

"Ugh just great, that bastard Crane is just what i needed. I'll hurt him when i find and hunt him down. He'll pay for what he did to me." Ivy made a mental note to hunt down Crane when she settled down in her spare time.

Scarecrow spoke to Batman once again. Batman looked serious at the projector that was showcasing the mad doctor.

"Take a look at the chamber...I want you to know the fears that is coming."

The Caped Crusader wasn't intimidated by his gravelly voice in the slightest. Ivy could feel the tensions between Crane and Batman, and the weakness in the Militia guard holding a gun to her. After Scarecrow spoke, The guard then had some words for Batman.

"Listen up Bat-Freak!" He then aggressively grabbed Ivy out of the chair she was in. He then forcefully pointed his gun at her head. "We're walking out of here nice and slow, you try anything stupid, i'll blow her brains out!"

That's when Ivy decided to make her move. The soldier that was guarding her may have been aware of some of her abilities, but not all of them. Batman watched these small events unfold in front of him.

Ivy then brought the Militia Soldier to reality. "Charming, but only one of us is getting out of this cell." Suddenly Scarecrow's Fear Toxin was released into the chamber, causing the guard to lose his grip and gun aim on the Meta-Human. Ivy slid off to the side while the militia was seeing his worst nightmares come to. Batman could do nothing but watch this unfold. Ivy on the other hand was unaffected by Crane's toxin.

The guard then proceeded to fire off three shots out of fear and desperation.

He then stopped in his tracks and looked surprised to see Batman, or whatever horrifying version of something the toxin was showing. He then aimed his gun at Batman prepared to shoot the stoic Dark Knight.

Before this could happen, suddenly Poison Ivy came from behind the guard. Pamela proceeded to smash his face into the glass wall of the chamber, rendering him unconscious.

After the final guard was disposed of Ivy began heading towards the Chamber door. "Nothing like a little natural immunity." she said.

About half a minute later the chamber door opened with light smoke. Batman watched as she stretched comfortably. Shortly after that she took notice to the stoic Detective. "What are you doing here?"

"Why did Scarecrow lock you up?" Batman demanded to know.

"No hello?"

Gotham's greatest hero wasn't in the mood for Ivy's sass. "Tell me."

"And what if i don't want to?" Ivy replied almost in a flirtatious like manner.

"Then i burn every plant in Gotham."

Ivy rolled her eyes in annoyance as she began slowly heading in the direction of the safehouse exit. "It started with a meeting."

"What meeting?" Batman asked immediately after.

"Everyone was there. Penguin, Two-Face, Riddler, Even poor Harley."

Batman and Ivy then exited the safehouse and were now on the balcony of the safehouse. Ivy was also aware of the present Plant Life. Unbeknownst to Batman, Ivy secretly had Vines coming in from above.

"Scarecrow said he had a plan. That together we could take you out. And Gotham would be ours."

"Over my dead body." Batman implied that he would rather die than let Gotham's scum takeover.

"I believe that was the idea." Pamela added, jokingly. Just then, some Vines appeared on the balcony's edge to which Ivy touched slowly. Shortly after that, she summoned Vines from her own hands. Her entire right arm was wrapped in Vines. "I told him i wasn't interested in his pathetic human games. And when i came to, i was locked up in that room."

The two began heading towards the elevator of the safehouse that would return them below to the crime infested streets of Gotham City. Ivy smirked because she had a little surprise in store for Gotham's Caped Crusader. She continued with Batman. "It's such a shame that his vile toxin has no effect on me." Unknown to Batman, Ivy had summoned three of her vines behind Batman. As they prepared to enter the elevator Ivy stopped and Gave The Dark Knight her parting words.

"Nature always wins."

Before Batman could even react, suddenly Ivy's vines wrapped around Batman and yanked him away into the dark, hallow's eve night. The Elevator door closed immediately and Ivy was now free at last. As she the elevator took her down to the street levels, Ivy looked at her right hand that was housing her vines and talked to them. "Will he ever learn?"

As Pamela enjoyed her peaceful Batman and Fear Toxin free elevator ride, she thought about some things she had to do. For one she had to find a location she could set up a hideout in, away from the rest of these maniacs abusing the mostly civilian free Gotham City.

Ivy then thought about hypnotizing a few of the Rioters so she could have herself some security and henchmen similar to her faction she had back in Arkham City. Pamela waited patiently before finally reaching the exit to the safehouse. What seemed like feedom for Ivy was shattered when the elevator doors opened and revealed...

Batman

Once Ivy saw The Dark Knight, she sighed in disappointment as she had gotten caught...

"Your coming with me."

"You had to ask." Ivy replied sarcastically.

As Batman had ordered Ivy, he had grabbed her hand and escorted her out of the elevator and onto the sidewalk. As the pair had slowly walked onto the rioting streets of Gotham City, Batman suddenly came to a halt, which drew curiosity from Pamela.

"What's wrong?"

Batman didn't answer her question.

Ivy got the answer to her question when she heard what sounded like the shot of a canon nearby.

Just then, a red and white unmanned tank appeared and aimed it's canon and Poison Ivy and the stoic, un-phased detective. The tank was followed by a armored truck of the same color scheme appeared and a few armed militiamen stepped out and aimed their rifles at the pair. three guards to be exact.

"We've got him sir! It's him!" One of them spoke into his walkie talkie at his commander.

"Are you sure it's him?"

"Positive sir...target is in our sight, How should we proceed."

As Gotham's botanic terrorist Ivy wondered who the soldiers could be talking about, she noticed Batman moving his hand behind his back as if he were about to reach something. The Dark Knight was feared and well-known for his defensive tactics, which worked as well and sometimes better than or as well as his offensive tactics. He once was able to make a room full of five armed thugs fear him even though they had a clear weaponized advantage.

Batman pulled out a remote control-like device. The soldiers couldn't see it due to Batman's cape shielding them from seeing what he was doing. Moments later a muscle tank-like vehicle appeared before them. Ivy must've figured this thousand pound tank was the Gotham Guardian's latest incarnation of his iconic Batmobile.

The vehicle quickly deployed a large gun-like cannon and began taking out the soldiers. Unknown to Batman, Ivy enjoyed seeing these cute and foolish meat sacks groan in pain, she was also kinda disappointed that Batman did not use any live rounds when dealing with them.

Then the Batmobile turned its attention to the unmanned tank. Suddenly the car began transforming into an actual battle tank. Although Ivy did not care much for the tools of men, even she was slightly impressed by this. The unmanned militia tank looked like a present a child open on his birthday or Christmas compared to the Batmobile.

The tank fired one clean shot at the tank, and the bullet tore it to shreds. With the soldiers and tanks taken care of momentarily, Batman could now take Ivy to the GCPD where she would not be a problem down the line.

"How many of these things have you wrecked over the years?" The terroristic botanist was referring to Batman's never ending changes of his Batmobile incarnations, Batman simply ignored her because he was in no mood for sarcasm.

He simply opened the back of the car, and out came a two seater from its trunk. "Now what would your parents think if they knew how much of their money was drained in fixing these things?" Ivy asked in a sarcastic manner.

Batman paused for a brief moment thinking about the remark before carrying on with his job. He grabbed Poison Ivy's arm and escorted her into the passenger's seat in the back. "Get in."

"Frustrated these days, aren't we?"

Batman ignored her question as he placed her in the Batmobile's passenger seat, after she got in, Batman made a call to close ally and friend, Aaron Cash.

"Cash, I'm bringing in Ivy, prep the GCPD prep the isolation cell."

"No problem Batman, you can count on me."

Cash disconnected from the line as Batman jumped in the Batmobile and charged to The GCPD...
