Chapter 14: A Batty Feeling:

Inside Ivy's Mind:

Back inside the mind of Poison Ivy, the other Ivys had finally managed to subdue the wild antics of Schoolgirl Ivy. They had chained her up and kept her at bay somewhere in Ivy's body. Now, they were discussing ideas regarding Ivy's next steps.

"So what should we do next?" One of the Ivys asked, wondering what was the next step for Ivy and ultimately themselves.

"Well for starters we can't deny that Ivy is now in love with Batman, that's a done deal now."

Another Ivy spoke up, regarding Batman's side of things. "Batman's no clueless fool, he's gonna eventually find this out sooner or later, the question is will he treat her and indirectly us the proper way a women should be treated?"

Then came the voice of a third Rational Ivy. "Before we get into that, we've got to learn more about Batman caring and compassionate side, we know little to nothing about that side of him, or if he even has a side like that to him."

"True, but the only other person who has shed some sort of light off of Batman is Selina. She's the only one who can bring that side of him out. Batman treating Ivy was completely because of the situation's circumstances."

On a wall she was chained up in, Schoolgirl Ivy was still defiantly arguing against her captors. She vowed that she would break free and escape her tormenters. "You can't keep my chained up forever, i will break free and take control. That UV treatment strengthened me as well. And let me remind you that it took nearly everything you dimwits had to keep me at bay. I promise you that it will not work again!"

"She does make a point," One of the Ivys pointed out. "He did say it was only enough light FOR NOW. It's possible that he'll give her more later, so that way, we'll be better prepared for when that time happens."

"Yes, that is true, we'll be fine the next time Batman comes back and gives Ivy some more of it."

Then, "Batman's no fool, it makes sense why he didn't fully restore her to how she was before tonight and arriving at the GCPD. He'd never risk the lives of the officers that work there."

Shortly after hearing this, another Ivy, Hopefulness stepped in the conversations amongst everyone. "But ladies, Batman specifically said that because of her sucking up the fear toxin, she's earned his forgiveness, it made sense that he didn't put any cuffs or other restraints on her after she sucked up the fear toxin, it makes no sense for him not to do so AFTER the UV treatment. Ivy's not fully recovered yet, but she's certainly stronger than she was when he first brought her in. It's possible that Batman fully trusted her. And that says something."

One of the Rational Ivys scoffed. "Pfft, Crane's threat of his toxin was the only reason Batman even came to her for help. I guarantee you that if that threat wasn't present he wouldn't have even come to her for assistance, and she'd still be locked up inside and heavily guarded in the GCPD Isolation Chamber."

"That's not true," Hopeful Ivy interjected. "We all heard exactly what Batman said to Nightwing earlier, he clearly said that at times he regretted having to put Ivy in that dreadful asylum and her inaction during the Arkham City incident proves that she doesn't see him as an enemy or foe. The hostile history between the two is starting to dissolve, if not already dissolved."

Some of the other Ivys still remained very skeptical. One of them started to speak up, completely doubting hopeful's claims. "Tonight was not exactly an ordinary night. Let me remind you all that it was due to very extreme circumstances that this alliance even happened in the first place, this is merely the chance for Ivy to prove to Batman that she's completely changed and left behind her ways of crime, nothing more."

All of the Ivys continued to chat and debate amongst themselves about what to do about Ivy's newfound feelings for Batman. All of them had made good points, however it all came down to the big question, would Batman possibly, feel the same way?

Ivy was interrupted by Joana, while Ivy was daydreaming and whatnot, he had more information to give to Ivy regarding Batman. And also another matter that he personally wanted to discuss with the reformed villainess privately.

"Miss Ivy, may I speak with you for a moment? I've got some news regarding Batman, and something else that relates to that."

Ivy's eyes were now on the befriended officer. "Sure officer, what is it?"

"I felt that you must know that Batman did tell the GCPD Officers that you aided him in bringing down Firefly. I believe some of them might begin to thaw and warm up to you."

"I really do regret my actions over the years, I really do. I would like to prove myself to be different than I was a few years prior."

Joana formed a small smile. "Well ma'am if that's true, then this is where the other relating thing comes into play, we would very much like some help in dealing with Harley Quinn."

The good officer noticed her eyes widened before being more thorough. "Relax, you have my word, I will guarantee that no officer in this building will physically harm her. We're all completely aware of the special friendship between you and Miss Quinzel. If you want to prove to the rest of them that you've changed for the better, you should try and get Miss Quinzel to cease upon her actions on the benefit of the deceased Joker."

Ivy thought about it for a moment's notice until, "I'll do it officer, and between you and me, it's about time that she moves on from that psychotic madman."

"I agree ma'am, It's like that maniac still tortures us all, even after death." Joana added. "I just wish Miss Quinzel would see the light. She's The Joker's most tragic victim in my eyes."

"That, we can agree on Officer."

Joana nodded in agreement before making his was towards the exit of Ivy's temporary quarters in the GCPD, but he realized something. With their conversation had had almost forgotten to give Ivy something.

He pulled out a communicator device and handed it to Ivy. "I almost forgot to give this to you, courtesy of Batman. He purposely left this here for you and wanted me to give it to you, I suggest you get in contact with the Dark Knight regarding Miss Quinzel." Joana left shortly afterwards.

Ivy had the communicator in her hands. Without a hint of doubt, she opened the channel to Batman, whom was in The Batmobile.

"Speak Ivy."

"Yes Batman, Since I know your busy with the other scum, I'll try and make this short and sweet, how's Harley?"

Batman revealed her status. "Harley's already subdued in an undisclosed location right now. I'm on my way there now." Before Ivy could even say anything, "I know what your thinking, yes I'll give you the chance, since The Joker is dead, your practically the only one she'll listen to, you're her last link to sanity Ivy, I hope you can sway Quinn away from her evil and blind ways."

"Alright thank you." Ivy replied.

Batman in his usual serious demeanor replied with, "Your welcome."

Ivy closed the channel to let Batman get back to his duties of protecting Gotham. Now she was contemplating, just what would she do to sway Harley from her evil ways?...
